Steve Harvey Show Hit With $43 MILLION DOLLAR Lawsuit Over Music Theft!
According to The JasmineBrand Steve Harvey has been accused of illegally broadcasting music without authorization for his hit self titled daytime talk show and now a publishing company has filed a $43 million dollar lawsuit over the music theft.
According to the court docs, a music publishing company, called We 3 Kings, filed a federal lawsuit against Steve Harvey and the production companies behind his daytime talk show. In the filed documents, the company explains that during season 2 of his hit show, a total of 268 unlicensed songs were used during the broadcast. Reportedly, We 3 Kinds says that they never agreed to let Harvey or his show use their music catalog and Harvey illegally & without authorization choose to play the songs they own.
The music company filed a federal lawsuit demanding $43 million in damages plus more for each channel that The Steve Harvey Show is syndicated and re-broadcasted on. They claim the damages done by Harvey may lead to all of the execs of the company filing for bankruptcy, due to them now not being able to license the songs to other shows, radio programs and advertisements.
Reportedly, they are also demanding an injunction against Steve Harvey from continuing to illegally use their music. We’ve reached out to Steve Harvey’s team — so far, no response. See the exclusive court docs.
Darren Wilson Ferguson Officer Will Not Indicted In Michael Brown Shooting
CLAYTON, Mo. -- A grand jury has decided not to indict Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson for killing 18-year-old Michael Brown, St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch announced Monday.
The Aug. 9 death of Brown, who was unarmed, sparked massive demonstrations in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson and a national conversation on race and law enforcement. Activists had predicted a new wave of demonstrations if Wilson was not indicted -- not only in Ferguson, but in the greater St. Louis region and in other cities across the country.
McCulloch's office had said he would release full transcripts of the grand jury proceedings if the panel decided not to indict the police officer. McCulloch's office took an unusual approach to the grand jury process by simply presenting the panel with all the evidence but not recommending any specific charges against Wilson.
Witnesses to Brown's shooting who have publicly spoken about their recollections largely told the same story about the events that led to his death.
It is well established that Brown and his friend Dorian Johnson were walking in the middle of a quiet residential street near the home of Brown's grandmother when Wilson confronted them shortly after noon on Saturday, Aug. 9. The witnesses who spoke publicly said there was an initial confrontation between Brown and Wilson through the window of his police SUV -- some said they thought Wilson was trying to pull Brown in, while Wilson has reportedly said that Brown reached for his weapon.
Wilson reportedly fired one shot out the window, and witnesses claim that Brown took off running. Wilson emerged from the vehicle, and Brown at some point turned around. Many witnesses who have spoken publicly said that Brown looked like he was trying to surrender and put his hands in the air as Wilson shot the final fatal rounds. Wilson reportedly contends that Brown was headed back toward him.
The Washington Post, meanwhile, reported that seven or eight witnesses largely backed up Wilson's account of the shooting in testimony before the grand jury. Those witnesses, like most of the people in Ferguson, are African-American.
When Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson released Wilson's name on Aug. 15, the police department simultaneously released a video that appeared to show Brown stealing cigars from a convenience store not long before the shooting and shoving a clerk when he was confronted. Jackson has since said that Wilson was not aware that Brown had been involved in any alleged robbery when the officer spotted him on the street.

Trina Explains Why She Turned Down “Love & Hip Hop” Offer
During an interview with VLAD TV, Trina opened up about turning down an offer star in the Miami spinoff of the popular Love & Hip Hop franchise.
“You know, the whole reality thing… I like it, but I have limits with that,” she said. “It’s entertaining, for the most part, but to me I think it’s so much more that you can offer on television than boobs flying out, shoes throwing, hair pulling, drinks in the face.”
She says that the control aspect of it is one of her biggest issues: “I’m not gonna allow you to control my imaging — you edit the wrong thing, and you make me look weird or crazy.”
Trina also feels there should be limits on how far you should be allowed to go in the physical department. “I don’t think you should be allowed to put hands on nobody else, throw drinks, hit, pull weaves, snatch out implants, throw shoes and do all that stuff. We work too hard for that.
She admits to turning down “L&HH” and other more shows, but says she is interested in doing something with television. “I’m more of on like a Sex and the City type vibe thing with it,” she explains. “You know mature women, sexy, fashion, love, romance, breakups, marriage, infidelity — just that whole realistic type things… Me and my girlfriends we talk about real life stuff. And, I think to me that’s what my life really is.”
Although she and her girls not agree on everything, she says things will be hashed out with no touching.
She’s in talks of doing a show, but says they’re discussing what she wants to do in the show. Making sure that she has say-so, and is able to create and control her part of it, because; “What you put out there, is what you put out there.. and there’s no coming back from that,” she says. “They’re ready for you.”

And for her coming of age celebration, she was gifted with a special performance by rapper A$AP Ferg.

Chanel Taps Pharrell & Cara Delevingne For Campaign
With fashion maven Karl Lagerfeld at the helm, Pharrell and supermodel Cara Delevingne have starring roles in the upcoming Chanel film and campaign, due to premiere at the Métiers d’art collection in Salzburg next week.
Lagerfeld used his Austrian heritage as inspiration while simultaneously taking cues from pop culture during the creation of the visual. As expected, an original song by Pharrell, which is actually a duet with Delevingne titled “CC the World,” serves as the musical backing.

Chuck Hagel Steps Down As Secretary Of Defense
Flanked by both President Obama and Vice President Obama, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel resigned from his position today, November 24, after White House insiders allege that he wasn’t bout that life to handle the looming threats that face the nation.
Via NBC: During a statement at the White House, President Barack Obama called Hagel “an exemplary Defense Secretary” and “a great friend of mine” who helped steer the military amid a time of great transition at the Pentagon.
“When it’s mattered most behind closed doors, in the Oval Office, you’ve always given it to me straight. For that, I will always be grateful,” Obama said, noting Hagel’s willingness to take the job despite hailing from the Republican Party.
Hagel called serving in the post “the greatest privilege of my life.”
In a separate written statement sent to Pentagon staff, Hagel said: “You should know I did not make this decision lightly. But after much discussion, the President and I agreed that now was the right time for new leadership here at the Pentagon.”
But behind the scenes, the departure appeared to be less rosy. Senior defense officials told NBC News Monday that Hagel was forced to resign. Those officials said the White House lost confidence in the former Nebraska senator to carry out his role at the Pentagon.
According to one senior official, “He wasn’t up to the job.”
Another senior administration official said that Hagel has been discussing a departure from the White House “for several weeks.
President Obama had nothing but great things to say about Chuck Hagel’s tenure.
Solange Teams Up With PUMA For Second Collection!
On the heels of her beautiful New Orleans wedding, Solange Knowles is giving fans a peek at her latest collection for PUMA.
As she did with her successful “Girls of Blaze” collection (which dropped back in February), Solo calls on Gerlan Marcel, Hisham Bharoocha, and Darlene and Lizzy Okpo, for some assistance with designing the trainers.
The first drop, named “Wild Wonder,” features three styles that will arrive on November 28, and the second – “Behind the Bazaar” – features two styles that will follow on December 13.
The songstress recently chatted with Saint Heron about the new collection; sharing where she received her inspiration for the designs. She dishes on what she’s up to now, which is finishing up her new album: “I’m wrapping up soon,” she says — and, they’re in the process of renovating their new house. Plus, she talks settling into New Orleans, and the love she has for the city.

Tell us about the latest collection? What was the inspiration? How was the process overall?
The two drops that make up this collection couldn’t be more different from one another but the commonality between the two is texture. I really wanted to focus on maximizing different textures to their fullest potential. This process was a bit more intense than the Girls of Blaze because we took a lot of risk, and created a lot of tweaks to get it right. The thing that I love about these two drops is you see the evolution of my personal style from the first collection into the second one. I love them both so much for totally different reasons.
There was such an incredible response to the first collection, what did you take away from that experience the most?
I was incredibly humbled… overwhelmed with gratitude and super excited to have the support of such incredible people! When I got the call that the shoes sold out in an hour from my friends at OC, I was so so damn overjoyed. I honestly am most proud of how organic the entire process was from start to finish, from everything from working with friends to create the shoes, my husband shooting the campaign locally, premiering them at one of my best friends’ store. I think the fact that it never once felt like work made it all the more magical. It truly was a natural reflection of just a bunch of awesome, incredibly talented friends all working together to do something we all dug, so the fact that people dug it so much was the icing on the cake!
What else are you working on right now? What’s next for you?
Finishing my album is the biggest project on my hands which I’m wrapping up soon. It’s been a lengthier journey than I expected but it’s so important to me to express exactly what I set out to…and that takes time. I’m also spending a great deal of time continuing to build Saint Heron which is super important to me…Oh yeah and renovating our new house which has been a whirlwind, but super exciting. Lots of phone calls to mom asking what the hell so much of this construction talk means.
You’ve been in New Orleans for about a year now, are you settled in? Do you find creative inspiration from the region?
Well we just moved into our house which has been so exciting so a little bit of a road ahead before we really settle in. However I’m so incredibly in love with that city and find a great deal of solitude and inspiration there. What’s been really awesome is connecting with so much of the talent there. That’s really important to me. I just finished an event for Saint Heron called Amen Amen The 17 Wards of Wonder which really was about celebrating the amazing diverse culture of New Orleans. We’ve also shot both of our PUMA campaigns there with local models and crew and I wouldn’t want it any other way! That city has my heart so I’m always stoked to bring as much of my work there as I can. Luckily people are always up for that trip!

Hazel E had a very public falling out with Yung Berg on “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood,” but it seems she may have found someone new. The reality star was spotted out in Kentucky with Katt Williams to watch the University of Louisville take on Marshall.
Reports Vlad: A fan commented on Hazel’s Instagram page, revealing that she saw the rapper and Katt at the college game. The Shade Room then came through with a shot of Hazel and the comedian taking a selfie together.
