AGAIN? Mary J. Blige Accused Of Owing $1.9 Million Over Bank Loan
Mary J. Blige is accused of defaulting on a loan with the bank and now they are coming after her in court over 1.9 million dollars that the singer has refused to pay them.
Blige was sued in NY Court last year by Signature Bank, who accused the singer of defaulting on a 2.2 million loan and claimed she hadn’t paid anything on the balance. They demanded the full 2.2 mill + 58k in interest.
Then over a year later on August 1st, Blige and her husband responded to the lawsuit in which they denied the majority of the allegations over the loan. They also stated that since Signature Bank filed the original complaint back in 2013 , they had made payments on the 2.2 million loan. Blige said in court docs she had made the payments due on the loan and she demanded the lawsuit be dismissed.
Then on August 20th, the bank fired back at the singer and claimed that her statements weren’t truthful. They claimed that Blige did make payments on the loan totaling 405k. They say that 178k of that went to the interest that has incurred and that the other 226k went towards the principal amount due.

Signature Bank is demanding that Blige pay the remaining $1,973,336.39 due on the loan immediately. They also explain that the unpaid debt is growing with interest and per day another $232.96 is added on to the

British Rapper Suspect In Beheading Of James Foley
One of the men suspected in the beheading of U.S. journalist James Foley is a former British rapper.
Reports the New York Daily News:
Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary — who recently tweeted a photo of himself holding up a severed head — was among three Brits identified as possibly being the masked killer known as “John the Beatle.”
Bary, 24, is the son of an Egyptian-born militant who is awaiting trial on terror charges tied to the deadly 1998 bombings of embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.
Also under investigation are the brother of a British doctor once charged with kidnapping two Western war correspondents, and a former gang member who converted to Islam and traveled to Syria, Britain’sTelegraph newspaper reported.
Reportedly, Bary is from West London and used to go by the name L Jinny, and even got play on BBC Radio 1. However, last year he left London and moved to Syria after becoming “radicalized” by the teachings of Anjem Choudary.
Bary is one of the three British expats turned jihadists referred to as “The Beatles” due to their British accents.

Miley Cyrus Banned in The Dominican Republic
Miley Cyrus performance banned in the Dominican Republic for vulgarity.
The Dominican Republic government commission that oversees public performances is banning a Sept. 13 concert by Miley Cyrus on morality grounds.
The commission said in a statement Thursday that it took the action because Cyrus often “undertakes acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law.”
Tickets ranging from $27 to $370 for the concert in the capital have been on sale since July.
Some critics have declared Cyrus’ onstage antics, including twerking and crotch-grabbing, as vulgar.
A representative for Cyrus did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Concert organizers in the Dominican Republic did not comment on the ban.
The commission in the past has banned songs it considers vulgar from the airwaves, including some by Calle 13 of Puerto Rico.

Strong California quake causes injuries, damage
NAPA, Calif. (AP) - A large earthquake caused significant damage and left three critically injured in California's northern Bay Area early Sunday, igniting fires, sending at least 87 people to a hospital, knocking out power to tens of thousands and sending residents running out of their homes in the darkness.
Two adults and one child have critical injuries and Queen of the Valley hospital has treated 87 people, the city of Napa in California wine country said in a statement Sunday. Most patients have cuts, bumps, bruises, said Vanessa DeGier, spokeswoman for the hospital in Napa. She says the facility has treated a hip fracture and heart attack, but it's unclear if it was related to the 6.0-magnitude earthquake. The hospital has set up a triage tent and many people are still coming in, DeGier said.
The quake caused six significant fires, including at a mobile home part, Napa Division Fire Chief Darren Drake said. Four mobile homes have been destroyed and two others damaged, the city said. Several other smaller fires have been reported and firefighting efforts have been complicated by broken water mains.
The earthquake struck just before 3:30 a.m. about 4 miles northwest of American Canyon, which is about 6 miles southwest of Napa, said Leslie Gordon of the U.S. Geological Survey said. It's the largest earthquake to shake the Bay Area since the 6.9-magnitude Loma Prieta quake in 1989, the USGS said. That earthquake struck the San Francisco Bay Area on Oct. 17, 1989 during a World Series game between the San Francisco Giants and the Oakland Athletics, collapsing part of the Bay Bridge roadway and killing more than 60 people, most when an Oakland freeway fell.
"There's collapses, fires," said Napa Fire Capt. Doug Bridewell, standing in front of large pieces of masonry that broke loose from a turn of the century office building where a fire had just been extinguished. "That's the worst shaking I've ever been in."
Bridewell, who said he had to climb over fallen furniture in his own home to check on his family before reporting to duty, said he was starting to see more reports of injuries.
Three historic buildings in Napa have been damaged, including the county courthouse, and at least two downtown commercial buildings have been severely damaged. A Red Cross evacuation center has been set up at a high school and crews are assessing damage to homes.
The shaking emptied cabinets in homes and store shelves, set off car alarms and had residents of neighboring Sonoma County running out of their houses and talking about damage inside their homes. Officials say widespread power outages have been reported in the area.
"It was a rolling quake, said Oakland resident Rich Lieberman. "It started very much like a rolling sensation and just got progressively worse in terms of length. Not so much in terms of shaking, but it did shake. It felt like a side-to-side kind of rolling sensation. Nothing violent but extremely lengthy and extremely active."
The USGS says the depth of the earthquake was just less than seven miles, and numerous small aftershocks have occurred in the Napa wine country.
"A quake of that size in a populated area is of course widely felt throughout that region," said Randy Baldwin, a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey in Golden, Colorado. "The 6.0 is a sizeable quake for this area. It's a shallow quake. It's about 6 miles deep. We received hundreds of reports on our website from people that felt it in the surrounding area."
California Highway Patrol Officer Kevin Bartlett said cracks and damage to pavement closed the westbound Interstate 80 connector to westbound State Route 37 in Vallejo and westbound State Route 37 at the Sonoma off ramp. He says there haven't been reports of injuries or people stranded in their cars, but there are numerous flat tires from motorists driving over damaged roads.
Highway Patrol and the California Department of Transportation was checking roadways for damage, Bartlett said.
California Highway Patrol Officer Daniel Hill told KTVU-TV that road damage appears confined to the Napa and Sonoma areas. He said there appears to be no damage to major bridges in the Bay Area.
In Napa, city spokesman Barry Martin there has been significant damage. Store windows were broken and water mains broke in several locations, one of which left at least one street flooded. Gas breaks have also been reported in several areas. Power outages left streetlights dark.
Numerous emergency vehicles were on the roads in Napa and Sonoma counties.

Praying that all will recover!

Georgia Teens Create Five-O! App To Document Police Encounters
It’s been two weeks since the fatal shooting of unarmed teen, Michael Brown, in Ferguson, Mo., a trio of teens from Georgia have created an Android app to assist communities in rating their police departments on a scale of A to F.
From Forbes:
The app is called Five-0 (inspired by the TV show) and it’s the brain child of 14 year old  Caleb Christian (a first-year student at Parkview High school in Lilburn, Georgia) who was “concerned about the number of incidents of police abuse in the news, according to the Pinetart website, the company they created to market their app, he realized that “there were many good police officers in various communities, but had no way of figuring out which communities were highly rated and which were not.” So he created the app, with help from his two older sisters, high school senior Ima Christian, and Gwinnett School of Math, Science, and Technology sophomore, Asha Christian.

The idea is to collect data that users can then bring to community activists, the media, and other forms of law enforcement. That way, it’s not just “he said, she said,” said Caleb. They’re also wanting to spotlight both the positive and negative interactions users have with police officers – in hopes that the good examples will serve as motivation for officers to do better.

Not to be underestimated because of his age, Caleb says: “You’re never too young to learn, and you’re never too young to make a difference.”

M.I.A. Reaches Settlement With NFL Over Super Bowl Middle Finger
Unlike Janet Jackson, M.I.A. looks to be out of the doghouse with the NFL after the league went after her life savings for that infamous middle finger during the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show.
Via MSN:
An attorney for M.I.A. says his client and the NFL have reached a settlement ending their multimillion dollar dispute over the Sri Lankan rapper’s flash of the middle finger during her 2012 Super Bowl halftime performance with Madonna.
Attorney Howard E. King said in a statement Friday that the two had reached a confidential settlement, but offered no further details.
The Hollywood Reporter reported last year that the NFL took action with the American Arbitration Association for breaching her performance contract and tarnishing the league’s reputation, asking for $1.5 million in damages.
A spokesman said the league had no comment. NFL officials have said any money earned from the action would be donated to charity.
M.I.A. recently just completed a tour with A$AP Ferg all across America.

Despite NYPD “Manhunt,” Joe Budden Is Still Tweeting
Joe Budden is a wanted man. But that hasn’t stopped him from keeping up a regular tweeting schedule.
Actually, it was the New York Daily News that said the NYPD launched a “manhunt” to find the New Jersey rapper and Love & Hip Hop: New York star.
Budden has been accused of beating his now ex-girlfriend in a fit of rage. Allegedly, it was his stealing the unnamed victim’s cell phone (likely a bartender named Audely) that led to the robbery charge.
Interestingly, no charges of assault or domestic violence was mentioned when NYPD issued a mugshot of the rapper.
Yesterday, Budden tweeted, “I’m gonna sue the living sh*t out u gentlemen. @NYPDnews,” after reading the NY Daily News story. Budden started his social media volleys with “#OnTheRunTour Day2.”
From an undisclosed location, of course.
Such a JACKASS!
