Beyonce Gets Understatedly Sexy For "T" Magazine
In the midst of prepping for her "On The Run" tour with hubby Jay Z, Beyonce landed the cover of the NY Times Style Magazine this week.

Inside the pictorial, the ***Flawless singer rocked her signature blonde & brown tresses and modeled fashions from Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu and Chanel.  Chick makes a white Vince tee and Louis Vuitton leather pants look like a million bucks.

A snippet of the cover feature on the Queen Bey buzzes her praises saying:

As “SNL” suggests, Beyoncé has become something more than just a superstar. She is a kind of national figurehead, an Entertainer in Chief; she is Americana. Someday, surely, her “Single Ladies” leotard will take its place alongside Mickey Mouse and the Model T Ford and Louis Armstrong’s trumpet in a Smithsonian display case.

Historically speaking, this is no small achievement. Black women have always been dominant figures in American popular music, but no one, not even Aretha Franklin, has reached the plateau that Beyoncé occupies: pop star colossus, adored bombshell, “America’s sweetheart.”
But it also brings up her ability to be a hot topic of social media and academia:

Inevitably, Beyoncé is also a flashpoint, provoking ire from naysayers and ideologues of all stripes. In March, Bill O’Reilly decried “Partition,” a song that details a Beyoncé-Jay Z tryst in a limousine, for setting a poor example for “girls of color.” (Postmarital sex between consenting adults: immoral.) Last month, the black feminist author and activist Bell Hooks told an audience at a New School symposium: “I see a part of Beyoncé that is in fact antifeminist, that is assaulting — that is a terrorist . . . especially in terms of the impact on young girls.” There is a growing scholarly literature on Beyoncé; the Women’s and Gender Studies department at Rutgers University has offered an undergraduate course called “Politicizing Beyoncé.” Beyoncé is, as a cultural studies professor might put it, popular culture’s most richly multivalent “text.” The question these days is not, What does the new Beyoncé record sound like? It’s, What does Beyoncé mean?
During a recent interview with Hello Beautiful, Kelly Rowland gave Beyonce and Michelle the highest praise, calling them her soul mates.

"I believe soul mates are not just in relationships, but they’re in friendships. I have soul mates through Beyonce and Michelle [Williams] and [Beyonce's cousin] Angie [Beyince] and Solange [Knowles] and LaLa [Anthony]. I have soul mates. I’m so thankful for that too because I think they understand you. If there’s something on my heart or my mind, before I can even pick up the phone, one of them is calling me saying, 'What are you doing? Are you ok?' We’re connected and I think that’s such a beautiful thing. It’s the greatest gift you can have."

Love their friendship.  Cute

Bikers To Protect Maya Angelou’s Funeral From Westboro Baptist Protest plus Oprah Winfrey at Wake Forest preparing for Angelou’s Funeral -
This is so powerful! Two Million Bikers to D.C. (2MBTDC), is building a “Wall for Maya Angelou” in order to stop the Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) from disrupting the funeral of the iconic and controversial American poet on Thursday night in Winston Salem, North Carolina. 2MBTDC showed how powerful they were as they roared into Washington, D.C. last year on September 11. While the ride was initially in response to the pitifully-attended “Million Muslim March,” the biker group evolved into something that could never have been anticipated by 2MBTDC founder Belinda Bee.
Bee said that they are not riding in support of Angelou’s beliefs. “We are riding to protect her funeral from WBC,” she said. “If we allow WBC to protest her funeral what will stop them from protesting one of our funerals?”
Bee continued to say that even though her organization does not agree with Angelou, they will fight for the rights of all people to speak freely.
She passionately said,
“No we do not agree with her beliefs, but we agree with her freedom to have & voice those beliefs. That is what freedom is about! If we attempt to shut up all those who disagree with us are we not doing the same thing as them?”
Brant Caudle, Two Million Bikers to D.C.’s “Piedmont area Ride Captain for North Carolina,” agreed. He said,
“[T]his is not about her [Angelou's] beliefs, it is about standing up for what is right.”
The patriot biker’s group, whose Facebook page has over 315 thousand “likes,” has embarked on some amazing journeys.

Stars Converge For Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic
Bringing together some of Tinseltown’s hottest celebrities, the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic took over the Liberty State Park in Jersey City
“Fifty Shades of Grey” gal Dakota Johnson made her rounds at the 7th annual event, joined by fellow famous folks like Lupita Nyong'o, Aaron Paul, Behati Prinsloo, Julianne Moore and Busy Philipps.

Meanwhile, Olivia Munn nabbed plenty of attention thanks to her leggy white silk dress and enviable physique.

Of her style struggle, the “Newsroom” star told ABC News, "Now, I am working with an amazing stylist, Micaela [Erlanger] -- working with somebody who really knows fashion and works with you and collaborates with you. Fashion's always been intimidating, I've always felt like I was getting forced to do things I wasn't really comfortable in. So when you work with somebody who really accentuates you and brings out what you like, it make me much more comfortable. I'm much more excited about fashion than I've ever been."
"I'm barely 5-foot-4, I'm a curvier girl, I'm not stick thin. So things don't always work out. I can't rock a lot of high-waisted jeans and I don't just look super casual. I'm not the girl who's walking around in flats all the time, flopping around and just so sinewy, cool and everything looks great on them. You look for the new trends people are doing and it gets intimidating. Everybody looks so awesome, and it's hard to replicate that."

Munn added, "You have to learn to do things for yourself. Not every trend ... works for you. Fashion ... you can also do the classic side of it. I tend to go more the classic because that fits my body more."

Oh? Karrueche PROVES She's LOYAL, Compares Relationship To John Lennon & Yoko Ono + Chris VOWS To Remain Jail-Free
Karrueche Tran posted a collage comparing her relationship with Chris Brown to the marriage of John Lennon and Yoko Ono.  See the photo inside and find out what Chris said about freedom...

Chris Brown was released from jail yesterday and his long-time companion Karrueche Tran posted a collage of Instagram that featured a side-by-side comparison of herself and Chris...alongside Jon Lennon & Yoko Ono.  We can't get inside the head of KT to understand why she picked this particular couple, but rock & roll fans will at least agree that Yoko is "loyal" to the legacy of John Lennon.  Discuss amongst yourselves...

In other news, sources close to Chris Brown say he's made a vow to stay out of jail, now that he's freshly freed and vowing to clean up his life.  He is staying away from drugs and bad people (including gangs). His friends say he will focus on his music and has promised he won't screw up again.

We hope so.....

Usher Refuses To Comment On Justin Bieber’s Racist Remarks
While many celebrities have fawned over and forgiven the 15-year-old Justin Bieber for his use of the n-word in a tasteless joke, the opinion of the man who was perhaps most directly disrespect still remains an enigma.
Usher gets the credit for discovering and grooming Biebz to the worldwide success and just happened to be out in Los Angeles as the dust over the controversy began to settle.
Unfortunately, he declined to give any sort of comment on the matter, politically correct or not.
Via TMZ:
Usher had the opportunity to join the growing list of BFOJBs who have leaped to Justin Bieber’s defense … but instead he bolted.
Our photog spotted Ush yesterday in L.A. … and of course asked about the video of 15-year-old Justin using the n-word as the punchline to a horribly unfunny joke.

You’d think, Usher — being Bieber’s longtime mentor and African-American — would have something to say on the topic, but watch … who knew he did a Houdini impression?
As we’ve reported, Floyd Mayweather, Soulja Boy and others have already spoken up for Justin — which makes Usher’s reaction very interesting.
Justin Bieber released a formal apology regarding the situation, blaming his immaturity and adolescent for the joke and saying it doesn’t represent the man he has become.

Nike Air Max 93 Retro “Citrus” & “Menthol”
The summer just got way more interesting. While most have their sights on whatever Air Jordans are releasing, OG sneakerheads should be ecstatic to see the Nike Air Max 93 return to shelves.
Following an exclusive collaborative release with Europe-based sneaker boutique Size?, the house that Phil Knight built will debut two more colorways — the “Citrus” and “Menthol.” Both pair are fitting for the season, or any other for that matter because of their clean look. The “Citrus” is reminiscent of the New York Knicks team colors, though the orange is a shade lighter.
