LaLa Anthony Reveals It Takes Blood, Sweat, Stilettos...And Sex To "Have It All"
With a brand new shoot for JET magazine, NYT Best Selling Author LaLa Anthony is dishing up some pointers about how to keep your relationship tight and right.
She seemingly has it all-- a new movie (Think Like A Man Too) on the way, more time with her NBA star hubby Carmelo (now that he's officially in the off season), a successful book– The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex and Happiness, the clothing line 5th & Mercer, and her reality television show that returns next month to VH1, "La La’s Full Court Life."

“I have an independent hustler’s spirit,” says Anthony about her many ventures. “That drives me to this day. I never want to ask anyone for anything.”

So chick revealed how we all can "have it all too".  Some of her tips include:

1. Never Stop Doing You – “The difference with me is that when I first got to know my husband I was already hosting MTV’s Total Request Live, so I came with a full career,” she says.

2. Accept That Having It All Will Require Blood, Sweat and Stilettos – When asked about balancing a family, career and friendships, Anthony responded saying, “It’s tough. I always say that people who think it isn’t aren’t being honest.”

3. Sex May Sell, But Love Keeps You Off the Market – “If you don’t try to spice it up and keep it sexy, anyone can get bored but the key is really taking time with each other,” advises Anthony.

"Scandal's" Columbus Short: “I’m In A Perfect Place To Write Great Music”
He’s been accused of threatening his estranged wife with a murder-suicide and slapped with a restraining order, but that’s not keeping Columbus Short down.

While plugging his new single “Gave You” at Hollywood’s Couture Lounge the “Scandal” star told People he’s in a good place.
“To be honest with you, I'm feeling raw, focused, vulnerable and in a perfect place to write great music. God's been preparing me for a long time to deal with this season of my life. Being able to have thick skin is something that is needed."
In fact, Columbus doesn’t get into the media circus, especially if it’s about him. "You want to know the truth? I don't read anything. I don't read the good stuff and I don't read the bad stuff, because if I read the good stuff, I've got to read the bad stuff. I don't allow myself to make agreements with nonsense so I just don't take it in."

"I block it and I make sure my team knows, don't even show me stuff – because unless it's real, I don't even want to see it, I don't even want to talk about it, because you never know where stuff is coming from and you make an agreement with a lie."

Keri Hilson & Serge Ibaka Are Back Together
Kerry Hilson and her NBA boo, Serge Ibaka, are back together. The couple’s relationship had come to an end earlier this year.
HipHollywood caught up with the singer, where she discussed how going through a break-up in the public eye can be tough. “Some things you want to deal with privately, but you’re not always given that option,” she said before revealing that details of the relationship will be on her upcoming album. “I have to write about it…to be honest with my music, my craft or to expect anyone to connect, it has to come from a place of honesty.”

The split came shortly after the two were spotted cozying up together during the holiday season, but it looks like the two have found their way back into each other’s arms. Serge posted the above pic of them together after OKC’s Thursday night game, with the caption – “Had to get my girl back.” Keri had a big smile on her face as her man held his arm around her while on the basketball court.

Porsha Williams Parties At ATL’s Reign Nightclub
Porsha Williams stepped out to party at Reign nightclub in Atlanta Friday night. After turning herself in Wednesday, on a battery warrant filed by her Real Housewives of Atlanta costar, Kenya Moore, (stemming from an altercation between the two during last month’s Reunion taping) – Porsha hit the club for an evening out with her sister Lauren and some friends.
Showing off her amazing figure, rockin’ a Balmain mini dress in ice blue, she looked to be in good spirits as she smoked on hookah and danced the night away.

Judge Orders Nick Gordon To Stay Away From Houston Family For 1-Year…
Folks, about a month ago I told you about Nick Gordon and his wife Bobbi Kristina falling out with members of the Houston family. Nick tweeted pics of his guns and talked of fighting Pat Houston‘s son. I guess the judge wasn’t playing with Nick at all because it was ordered that Gordon to stay away… For an entire year! Yup, so that means no family bar-b-que’s, baby showers, recitals, weddings and the like for Bobbi Kristina and her husband of a few months.

Last month, Whitney Houston’s sister filed a restraining order against Gordon, claiming that he threatened her life on Twitter. The two have had many falling outs but it sounds like Pat simply had enough. A judge has extended the order for 12 months which means Bobbi Kristina’s husband can’t contact “Pat or anybody in their immediate family.” Our assumption, Bobbi is the exception. Nick will be taken into custody if he goes within 200 yards of the family.
“The family is just happy with the judge’s decision to grant the order.”

Nas ROCKS The Stage And CELEBRATES "Time Is Illmatic" Premiere
Nas celebrated the 20th anniversary of Illmatic with a stellar performance at the Beacon after the big Tribeca Film Festival premiere of his documentary Time Is Illmatic.

True artistry was on full display.  And they just don't make 'em like this anymore.

The 13th Tribeca Film Festival kicked off with the Nas documentary Time is Illmatic, directed by multimedia artist and first-time director One9.  Nasty Nas hit the carpet before the big night looking dapper.
The movie chronicles Nasir' journey from the Queens projects to the debut of his 1994 record Illmatic. Tribeca Film Festival co-founder Jane Rosenthal said “The nature of the subject is about surviving and thriving. That’s what New York did post-9/11. And that’s what Nas has done in his career. It’s about bridging cultures and bridging communities — that’s what his work is about.”

The viewing was held at NYC's Beacon Theatre and follow a performance of the entire Illmatic album.

On the red carpet....
Wale posed on for the cameras.
Famed actor and Tribeca FIlm Festival founder Robert De Niro attended with wife Grace Hightower. Mr. De Niro said, “The fact we’re here at the Beacon is great. I’ve seen so many plays and music performances here over the years and so it’s a perfect place to open with this movie.”
And then he took it to his after set to rock the stage.
Alicia Keys played the intro to "N.Y. State of Mind" and introduced Nas.
According to The Huffington Post, Nas reflected on his upbringing during the film saying,

"Queensbridge, to me, it looked messed up. It looked like a buried diamond. I had a chance to have a childhood for at least a little bit, and then I felt like I had to become a man early to deal with my environment.  I saw the difference early on, the type of parents I came from. Good people, hard workers. We had color television, we had a VCR, we had a carpet. We had nice things in our place, compared to some of my other friends who had nothing. Who ate hot dogs for dinner. Who had no furniture, just living bad. We didn't really lack food. My mom was a great cook.  Everybody wanted to come to our house. 'Ms. Jones cooking? I'm over there!' She had a great spirit. She didn't talk with cuss words. She didn't talk street stuff. She was not like that. If we needed stuff she said, 'I don’t want y'all to go out there and do it [in the streets], find another way to get it.'"

Check out the full interview with the doc's director about how the classic NYC Festival chose Nas' album over all others to feature. Over at HuffPo
After the premiere and concert, everyone headed over to Providence night club where guests enjoyed specialty Hennessy cocktails.
Raekwon, Pete Rock, Eric B. (atop) and Steve Stoute (background) were in attendance.

Nas' little brother Jungle posed with a bottle of Hennessy V.S “Wild Rabbit”. You'll recall that Nas is the face of the campaign.
DJ D-Nice kept the party moving and the records flowing.
Nice!

Jennifer Hudson – “Walk It Out” (Ft. Timbaland)
Jennifer Hudson calls on Timbaland for the feature, on her sassy new track “Walk it Out.” The vocal powerhouse switches it up with some gritty lyrics: “I’ll be on that good sh*t. I’ll be on, I’ll be on.. that hood sh*t. You gotta bring me out.. let me show you how,” she sings over the mid-tempo beat.

“‘Walk It Out’ reflects the ‘JHud’ in me. Every bit of it is a reminder and a connection of where I come from,” Jennifer said in a press release. “Who better to help me reconnect to that than Timbaland and his team? We co-wrote the song together so I’m singing my words. It’s my take; my perspective. It’s my music and I can’t wait to share that with my fans.”

Mase Sued For Jacking Model's Photo To Promote Struggle Rap

The reverend Mason Betha just can't do right by his wife, church or the game of Hip-Hop. He is being sued by model Stephanie Rao for swiping one of her photos without her permission and using it his single "Why Can't We," a.k.a. a rap song nobody cared about.
Via TMZ:
Mase's return to rap is off to a rough start -- he's getting sued over his comeback song by a model who claims he jacked her photo to promote his song.
According to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Stephanie Delgado (who goes by Stephanie Rao for modeling) claims Mase lifted the photo straight from her Instagram page and used it to promote his new song, "Why Can't We."
Rao says no one ever contacted her asking for permission to use the photo ... which she says ended up being used on more than 40 different sites to promote the song.
Rao is seeking royalties in the amount of $60,000 and damages in the amount of $180,000.
We're not sure where he lawyer team calculated $60K worth of royalties. The record has a little over 30,000 plays on YouTube and has never charted on Billboard. A similar case of stolen artwork also happened to his former running mate Lil Kim earlier this year.
"M-A dollar sign E" has been making the news for all the wrong reasons as of late and this recent incident just adds to the laundry list of struggle. Last month, his church accused him for "not practicing what he preached" after it was discovered that he was giving marriage counseling classes while trying to keep his ongoing divorce with his wife a secret.
On the good side, win, lose or draw, the case should gain Ms. Delgado a bit of boost in her modeling career.
