VANITY FAIR's annual Hollywood issue is out. Twelve of the biggest stars were tapped for VANITY FAIR'S 20th Annual Hollywood Issue. Half of them are the hottest black actors of the moment. And we're loving it.
The three-panel foldout, shot by contributing photographer Annie Leibovitz, features Oscar nominees Julia Roberts (August: Osage County), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave), Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club), and Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave).
Additionally featured: Idris Elba (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), George Clooney (Gravity), Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station), Naomie Harris (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), Brie Larson (Short Term 12), Chadwick Boseman (42), Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street), and Léa Seydoux (Blue Is the Warmest Color).
In the outtakes, Lupita posed it up with Margot Robbie, Brie Larson and Michael.
And hot Brits Chiwetel and Idris were spotted chopping it up.
The Hollywood issue will be on stands in NY and L.A., as well as on every handheld device/tablet, starting February 7th. It will be available nationwide February 11th.
Grammy Nominee Charlie Wilson Set to Receive Spirit of Los Angeles Award
*R&B Icon and P Music/RCA Recording artist, Charlie Wilson will receive the 2014 Spirit of Los Angeles Award from Mayor Eric Garcetti at the city’s African American Heritage Month Celebration on February 11, 2014.
Wilson, a seven-time Grammy nominee, and a three-time NAACP Image Award nominee, has been honored throughout his four decade career including the 2013 BET Lifetime Achievement Award, a 2013 Trumpet Foundation Award, a 2009 Soul Train Icon Award and a 2005 BMI Icon Award.
“Charlie Wilson is a role model because he is an example of the success you can have through faith and determination. He is one of the hardest working vocalists in America, working 75 to 100 shows a year, and he is certainly one of the most talented.” revealed Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
Wilson is currently on tour with a SOLD OUT date at the Madison Square Garden Theatre. He
will also be in concert on Valentine’s Day weekend at the Nokia Theatre at LA Live in Los Angeles and the Paramount Theatre In Oakland, California on Sunday, February 16, 2014.
The Spirit of Los Angeles Award not only acknowledges Wilson’s phenomenal music career, it honors his spirit and his ability to overcome his addictions and being homeless for a few years on the streets of Los Angeles.
“I fell to my lowest point during my addiction to drugs and alcohol that left me homeless,” stated Wilson. “By the grace of God, and an incredible family, I was able to pick myself up and begin a second career as a solo artist. People told me I couldn’t do it, but my faith has led me to heights I could not have imagined.”
That faith was shared in Wilson’s 2014 Grammy-nominated song, “If I Believe.”
“My wife had a dream about this song. She woke up grabbed a pen and paper and began to write the lyrics,” Wilson continues. “She is the biggest blessing in my life and continues to support me as I celebrate 20 years of sobriety.”
Wilson has also been nominated for two 2014 NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Male Artist and Outstanding Album.
A survivor of prostate cancer, Wilson remains committed to promoting awareness and educating men and their families about this disease. “When I learned that one in six American men – and one in three African American men – would be diagnosed with this disease, I knew I had to share my story.”
His commitment led to him becoming a spokesman for the Prostate Cancer Foundation in 2008 and then joining Janssen Biotech in 2012 to launch their Making Awareness A Priority (M.A.P.) campaign.
He sums up the title of his current CD, Love, Charlie, in one sentence:
“The whole world needs inspiration and I will continue to make music that helps me share that message.”

Pastor Creflo Dollar Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer
According to a christian news station Pastor Creflo Dollar has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, he recently opened up about his bout with prostate cancer on the Rickey Smile Morning Show. Dollar admitted that he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, but he is now cancer free.
Creflo said after he was diagnosed with Cancer he felt that it was important for him to laugh and be in good spirits, but after being diagnosed he said he told no one but his wife, Taffi. Then he took to unusual steps to becoming healthy. He locked himself in a room, fasted and prayed for two weeks and did not talk to anyone. When he went back to the doctor, there was no sign of cancer in his body.
Dollar is the founder of World Changers International located in College Park, Georgia. The well-known ministry started in a school cafeteria with eight people attending in 1986. The ministry has grown exponentially over the years and now has 30,000 members with revenue reaching up to $60 million in gross cash contributions.

Apparently Ri had her people reach out to Brazilian authorities to get in contact with Thiago’s biological father to offer her condolences. Eronilton Santos said he didn’t expect to hear from Rihanna at all, but in the end he rejected the funeral offer and asked that she pay tribute to his son so he can watch from heaven.
“I was surprised that they’re concerned about it. The representative said that it was a request from Rihanna herself, who wanted to offer all kinds of help. They wanted to pay for the funeral, but I only asked if she would provide a tribute to him. The only thing I thought is that from heaven, where he is, he’s going to see this gesture. The impact of the message she posted about it on Twitter was huge.”
“He never went [to Rihanna's concert] because of the lack of money. Since last year, when he knew she would come to Brazil, he began to save money in a safe to be able to see her.”
Even though Eronilton has rejected her offer to pay for the funeral, Rihanna still keeps in contact and hopes that the family will accept her donation.[ONTD]

George Zimmerman & DMX to Fight In Celebrity Boxing Match
Yes, you’ve read correct.
George Zimmerman and DMX will rumble, literally in a boxing match. The match was spearheaded by Zimmerman, after he told Radar Online that boxing had always been a hobby.
Prior to the incident, I was actually going to the gym for weight loss and doing boxing-type training for weight loss.
He explained that the motivation behind the match was to help charity and support a good cause:
A mutual friend put me in contact with Damon and provided me with an opportunity and motivation to get back in shape and continue with my weight loss goals and also be able to help a charity out.
According to CNN, Damon is Damon Feldman, owner of Celebrity Boxing and self-described opportunist, who is well-known for organizing bizarre match-ups.
He said last week that he was accepting offers for someone to step into the ring for a three-round, pay-per-view fight with Zimmerman. DMX, who is thrilled to hit the ring with Zimmerman, told TMZ
I am going to beat the living f**k out him… I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f**k him right up….Once I am done with him, I am going to whip my d**k out and piss on him… right in his muthaf**kin face….Zimmerman is a piece of s**t and that’s what he needs to drink.
The date, time and location of the fight has not yet been released. Zimmerman became well-known after his February 2012 encounter in which he shot dead an unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Shut Up Stupid : Aaron Hernandez Getting His Jail Bars Up?
We are guessing dude just didn’t learn.The man that alleges to have been shot in the face by former New England Patriots tight end, Aaron Hernandez has been shot again outside a Connecticut nightclub.
You would think after getting shot in the face once, this dud would calm down. But that just wasn’t the case. ABC news reports:
A man who alleges he was shot in the face by former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez in Florida was shot again, this time outside a Connecticut nightclub, where he then opened fire, police said Monday.
Alexander Bradley was shot multiple times in the right thigh Sunday night outside the Vevo Lounge Bar & Grill in Hartford’s South Meadows neighborhood and was taken to a hospital under police guard, police Lt. Brian Foley said. His condition wasn’t released, but he’s expected to survive.
Police haven’t announced any arrests.
“Evidence revealed there was a disturbance in the club that was pushed outside by staff,” Foley said. “At this point, Bradley was shot. Bradley went to a vehicle, got a gun, then shot up the front of the club.”
No injuries were reported.
Responding police officers stopped a car that sped away from the club, and an injured Bradley got out and fell on the street, Foley said. No charges against Bradley were announced.
Bradley, an associate of Hernandez, alleges in a Florida lawsuit that he lost his right eye when Hernandez shot him in the face as they argued outside a Miami club in February.
Hernandez is detained on a murder charge in the death of Odin Lloyd, a semi-professional football player whose body was found June 17 near Hernandez’s North Attleborough, Mass., home. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty. As much as we don’t condone violence. What is this guy really into that he keeps getting shot???
Black father found dead with throat cut, ear missing: Texas sheriff claims he overdosed
Alfred Wright, a 28-year-old physical therapist, was on his way to see a patient when his pickup truck broke down in Sabine County, Tex. His wife Lauren alerted his parents who went to help him. When Lauren called him back, all she heard was heavy breathing. She grew frantic and knew he was in distress. She sent texts pleading with him to call her. When his parents arrived on the scene, there was no sign of Alfred. His pickup truck was still parked at the package store, but Alfred was long gone. The store clerk said she saw Alfred, who was dressed in scrubs, but claims after he talked on his cell phone, he stuffed his cell phone in his socks and took off running, of “his own free will.”
Alfred knew help was on this way, so it’s questionable that he’d run off into the woods in a town where racial tension is highly prevalent.
Alfred grew up in Jasper along with his four siblings. His father is a pastor and middle school gym teacher. “Alfred was a man of great faith,” his wife tells CNN. A football player while in college, she goes on to say “he loved his family, was very ambitious and hard working … fun loving and brilliant.”
His family questions the sheriff’s office commitment to finding Alfred when they abruptly halted the search after only four days, saying they’ve exhausted their resources, Alfred would be listed as a missing person and there was no indication of foul play. They even said this case was likely drug related and Alfred ripped off his clothes after having hallucinations.
Alfred’s watch, clothing and his identification were found in the area near where deputies claimed to have searched.
His lifeless body was found 18 days after he went missing in November 2013, the week of Thanksgiving, near Hemphill in Sabine County, Tex. which is 45 minutes away from where “in the pre-dawn hours of June 7, 1998, James Byrd Jr. was walking home in Jasper, when he was stopped by three white men who offered him a ride home. Byrd got in the bed of their pick-up truck, but the men did not take him home. Instead, they drove him to a desolate, wooded road east of town, beat him severely, chained him to the back of the truck by his ankles and dragged him for more than three miles. The murderers drove on for another mile before dumping his torso in front of an African American cemetery in Jasper,” according to the police report.
Tragically, Alfred was found by volunteers and his father. He was stripped to his boxer shorts, wearing only a single sock with his cell phone tucked inside, and both his sneakers. He was missing an ear, two front teeth and his throat was slit. There was not a lot of decomposition in comparison to most bodies found in the elements after 18 days. On November 26, 2013, forensic pathologist John W. Ralston MD, ruled his death “accidental” due to “combined drug intoxication,” in other words, a drug overdose – cocaine, methamphetamine and amphetamines.
The family isn’t buying it because Alfred never used drugs. His family had their own autopsy and the pathologist concluded that he died of severe trauma to the neck and head and a gash across his throat.
The county’s autopsy report didn’t address the cut on his neck or throat area and also went on to report that any damage caused to the body was caused by animal activity, offering no explanation why the cut across his neck was a straight line and why the animals didn’t chew him to the bone after being out in the woods for over 18 days.

New Reality Show Coming Called, Preacher’s Exe’s Starring Bishop Eddie Long’s Accuser Centino Kemp
People are truly trying to make a spectacle of religion and what it represents huh? And as if Preachers of LA wasn’t enough, now there will be a show based on people who used to date preachers or the head of congregations. The cast will have former first ladies, but the kicker is you have two men that will also be apart of the harem, one is Bishop Eddie Long’s accuser Centino Kemp.
