Audra McDonald Returning to Broadway as Billie Holliday
*Audra McDonald will star as Billie Holliday this spring in the Broadway production “Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill,” a musical that imagines one of Holiday’s last performances in 1959.
Producers said Tuesday that the five-time Tony Award-winner will star as an ailing Holiday in a small club in Philadelphia, where she will let loose on such timeless classics as “Somebody’s On My Mind,” ”Don’t Explain” and “Strange Fruit.”
Previews begin March 25 at the Circle in the Square Theatre and opening night is set for April 13. The venue will allow some lucky members of the audience to sit at tables onstage.
The show was written by Lanie Robertson and will be directed by Lonny Price. Producers are Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel.
McDonald spent four seasons on TV’s “Private Practice” and won her fifth Tony Award for “The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess.” She won raves as Mother Superior in the recent live NBC special “The Sound of Music” with Carrie Underwood. She released her fifth solo album, “Go Back Home,” last summer.
Mandeecees Is Not Out of Prison!!!
Fellow Blogger and former Gossip Show star and radio host on Thisis50 Vivian Billings Yesterday posted up an article posing the question, "Is Mandeecees A Free Man?". And the reason she posed that question was because according to Mandeecees Instagram page, he was having drinks and asking people if they missed him.
Well, when she posed the question on Twitter, Kimbella (Yandy's best friend) said that Mandeecees was NOT out of prison and that that was a lie.

Brandy Engagement to Ryan Press on Hold Pending ‘Relationship Re-evaluation’
After much speculation, Brandy’s engagement to her manager Ryan Press has been put on hold.
A source close to the couple confirmed that Brandy and Ryan’s wedding is off for now.
Sister 2 Sister reports that the status of the engagement shifted after the couple moved in together.
As a result, they have have supposedly decided to take some time apart in order to reportedly re-evaluate their relationship and determine whether they actually should get married.
While the possibility of getting back together hasn’t been completely thrown out, it could be a moot point in light of rumblings of Ryan being set up on a date recently. They may be personally on hiatus, but professionally things are still cool in light of Ryan still being Brandy’s manager.
To date, Brandy or Ryan has not commented on the current status of their relationship. In the meanwhile, Brandy is gearing up for the next season of “The Game,” which will premiere at 10 p.m. March 4 on BET.
Mr. Papers Reveals Lil Kim Is Having A Boy!!
As I reported a few days ago, it's been confirmed that Mr. Papers is indeed the father to Lil Kim's baby. Mr. Papers himself even commented on Instagram.

So it should come as no surprise that Mr. Papers has revealed some details regarding him and Kim's relationship status....which is they are still together, that Lil Kim is having a boy in about May or June and she is about 6 months pregnant. However, Mr. Papers didn't want to reveal the name he and Kim came up with for their baby boy.
NeNe Leakes Cast on Dancing With The Stars?
It appears that Nene may have a new Gig coming up, sourcing are stating that she has been casted on Dancing With The Stars for this upcoming season.

ABC does not comment on casting rumors, however multiple sources tell E! News exclusively that NeNe Leakes has been cast in the upcoming 18th season of DWTS, set to premiere March 17.

Black Twitter Drag’s BBWLA Newbie Brittish Williams ‘Weave Tracks’!
I am really trying to like this Brittish character, but it is truly not working in her favor, last night while doing her confessionals “Black Twitter”, who notices everything saw one of her weave tracks showing…. In addition to the visible tracks, the unblended and dry 2 inch leave out bothers me as and them as well. Check out the dragging they gave her after the break!

Khloe Kardashian Says, ‘I Have No Regets’ In Marriage To Lamar Odom
Khloe Kardashian is ready for a fresh start. The 29-year-old long time reality starlet had a tough 2013, filing for divorce from Lamar Odom, who has been battling a drug problem. News of his addiction rocked the couple, who married in 2009 after just three weeks of dating. Since then Kardashian has gotten her groove back (sorta kinda). Late last year, she was rumored to be dating LA Dodgers star Matt Kemp and has been hanging tight with rapper The Game. The April Cosmopolitan cover girl talks with mom Kris Jenner (who conducted the interview) about her family, having no regrets in her marriage and being happy. Peep the excerpts below.
Holding her personal issues in:
I’m not a big ‘cry on a shoulder’ person. I’m very introverted when it comes to my own stuff. Everyone has issues, and I’m not someone who likes to burden people. I got into a car accident yesterday, and no one knew until hours later. I said, ‘Oh, my back hurts.’ If it had been Kim, she would have called everyone saying, ‘Help! I’m stranded!’ That’s just how I am. I hold things in. I don’t know why.
Having her family as a support system:
We live in the public eye, so if one of us makes a mistake, it affects everyone, which makes me think about what I’m doing in life more. I have such a great support system here, we’re so judged when we leave these walls that we try to never do that to one another here.
Being criticized for her marriage failing:
People hate us for showing stuff and they hate us when we say, ‘Fine, we won’t show it anymore.’ I don’t have any regrets. I wouldn’t change a thing. You learn as you go.
Thoughts on mom, Kris and stepfather, Bruce being separated:
There was no scandal. There was no bad blood. You’re just happier apart. You are nicer to each other now. You get excited to see each other at dinners. It makes me sad that people think Bruce is no longer a part of my life. I talk to him every day! I consider him my second father.
Being happy and living for today:
I live for the moment. If you think too far in the future, you might get disappointed or set the bar too low, it sucks at times, but everything happens for a reason, no matter how s—-y your circumstances are. To say where I want to be in 10 years…I have no idea. I just know that I want to be happy and smiling.
Wanting kids in the future:
I love kids. I hope and pray I have kids when the time is right.

Bambi actually thought she could take the place of Erica and especially shay, just last week his own mother hinted at him cheating on Bambi with Shay and she was going in on Shay via Instagram… Fighting a losing battle. I remember when Scrappy tried to shade his baby mother Erica saying how Bambi was a better woman than her! Funny how the tables have turned!

She says: I’m not pregnant l, I just finished grubbin , Lol…. Okay maybe she isn’t and her weight fluctuates especially if stress is involved… Maybe, Maybe not… We will have to just see… I know your wondering why I put this story with Scrappy, because they fit together and she is not that deserving of a separate post!
LL Cool J to Kanye West “Stop Complaining”
LL Cool J was on the Arsenio Hall show 25 years ago making his rap debut and now he is back, the Rap veteran turned NCIS star who was the first hip-hop artist to appear on late-night TV, co-signed some of today’s stars including Kid Ink, Tyga, and Chris Brown.
“They remind me of me when I first started,” said LL, who appears on the remix to Kid Ink’s “Main Chick.” “So I was happy to get on that song.”
He also acknowledged ScHoolboy Q, Kendrick Lamar, and Kanye West “when he’s not complaining.”
“I love you man, but you gotta stop complaining,” LL told Yeezus before joking, “Don’t hit me.”

Eddie Murphy Targeted in $50 Million Defamation Lawsuit
Eddie Murphy’s last name is taking center stage in a new lawsuit from a comedian with the same last name.
TMZ reports that Brando Murphy has brought a $50 million defamation lawsuit against the comic veteran.
Brando Murphy claims that Eddie is determined to destroy his comedy career. According to the young comic, Eddie’s determination to ruin him stems from absurd vanity.
The name Murphy is of Irish decent … and not exclusive to Eddie Murphy, a ‘Black Man’ of African Ancestry and a purported African American,” stated Brando, who maintains that he never tried to pass himself off as Eddie’s son.
Although he denies assuming the identity of Eddie’s soon, Brando’s claim did not touch on the most glaring contradiction to his argument, the fact that he took part in the Sons of Comedy tour with Richard Pryor‘s son. In his lawsuit, the young comic also claims that one of Eddie’s people threatened to have him killed.
From the looks of it, Team Eddie isn’t too worried about Brando or his lawsuit.
“This is an absolutely ridiculous lawsuit, and we are confident it will be immediately dismissed by the court,” the comedian’s lawyer, Marty Singer, told TMZ.

*OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network delivered the most-watched month in network history in primetime for the month of February (538,000 total viewers), the cable channel announced Tuesday.
OWN’s prime average in the key W25-54 demo marked a six-month high, up +11% versus January and up a whopping +86% versus one year ago. This makes OWN the fastest-growing cable network for W25-54 versus a year ago.
The drama “The Haves and the Have Nots” from Tyler Perry is cable’s most-watched show on Tuesday nights and the No. 1 original cable series for African-Americans. It also ranks in the top 10 original primetime series overall on ad-supported cable nets in W25-54, making OWN Tuesday nights the No. 2 cable network for W25-54, nearly tying with TBS.
Other series that bolstered OWN’s February include the comedy series “Love Thy Neighbor” from Tyler Perry, which was Wednesday night’s No. 1 original cable series for African-American W25-54 and total viewers.

George Lucas, and wife donate $25 million to Chicago School
newly married couple George Lucas and his wife, Mellody Hobson, are donating $25 million to a prestigious private school on Chicago’s South Side. Lucas and Hobson both know the difference art can make in a child’s life and future.
The University of Chicago says Tuesday the grant from The George Lucas Family Foundation will pay for a new arts hall at the university’s Laboratory Schools.
The 86,000-square-foot building will open in 2015 and will be named after Gordon Parks, a photographer, musician and social justice advocate. George Lucas said in a statement that art can “transform lives and communities” and says he hopes Parks’ legacy will inspire future generations.The Hyde Park school has about 1,800 students in nursery school through 12th grade.
Hobson is president of the Chicago-based Ariel Investments. She married the billionaire &Star Wars filmmaker in 2013.
