"RIDE ALONG" Stars Ice Cube & Kevin Hart COVER JET, DISH On Taking Risks And Creating Opportunities In Hollywood
Ice Cube and Kevin Hart have teamed up to create some Hollywood magic (in the spirit of 48 Hours and Lethal Weapon) in their upcoming film Ride Along (in theaters January 17, 2014).
The two actors appear in the latest issue of JET magazine (and we have an exclusive look at the cover!) where they talk about taking calculated career risks in Hollywood and what fans can expect from them in 2014. Here are a few highlights from the upcoming issue:
Why did you agree to do the project?
Ice Cube: It was fun with a simple premise. I wanted it to be entertaining and for us to be compared to some of the great comedy duos. From 48 Hours to Lethal Weapon to Bad Boys, I wanted Ride Along to have the same feel.
You say the field is a gamble. What’s the biggest risk you’ve taken?
Kevin: I took a gamble when I quit my job, which meant putting my all into stand-up comedy. That really could’ve gone either way, but it’s hard to tell me something isn’t going to work, especially when I’m betting on myself. I know what I’m capable of.
What’s on deck for 2014?
Ice Cube: I’m working on a movie about NWA and music. Of course, I’m always focused on my family. I have a 19-yearold daughter and my youngest son is 13. I’m teaching them to make sound decisions and to know right from wrong; it really isn’t complicated.
Kevin: I’m working on scripts and a new show for ABC. I still have Real Husbands of Hollywood and about four movies lined up. I’m looking forward to making more films and producing more projects under Hartbeat Productions. I want to show people this guy won’t stop.

Beyonce: ‘I was 195 pounds when I gave birth. I lost 65 pounds, I worked crazily’
Beyonce has a new video interview/monologue to promote her album! And in this monologue, she’s discussing her pregnancy and getting her body back after baby. And I have no comment. I swear. Some of us will just always believe there was something shady and some of us will always believe there was nothing shady about the pregnancy. We’ve fought that battle over and over. I will say this – the way Beyonce talked about pregnancy and her body back in May 2012 was a lot different than how she’s talking about it now. Here’s what she has to say about it now:
It’s been almost two years since Beyonce welcomed daughter Blue Ivy with husband Jay Z, and in that time, the pop diva has certainly been busy. Not only did she embark on a massive sold-out world tour, light up the Super Bowl halftime show, and drop a record-breaking fifth studio album without any promotion, but Queen Bey also shed 65 pounds of pregnancy weight. And she is ready to show it.
In her fourth YouTube mini-documentary (entitled “Liberation”) since her Dec. 13 iTunes release, Beyonce opens up about embracing her body in her new self-titled visual album.
“I was very aware of the fact that I was showing my body,” she said. “I was 195 pounds when I gave birth. I lost 65 pounds. I worked crazily to get my body back. I wanted to show my body. I wanted to show that you can have a child and you can work hard and you can get your body back. I know that there’s so many women that feel the same thing after they give birth. You can have your child and you can still have fun and still be sexy and still have dreams and still live for yourself. I don’t have any shame about being sexual. I’m not embarrassed about it, and I don’t feel like I have to protect that side of me because I do believe that sexuality is a power we all have.”
But Bey did seem a bit embarrassed when talking about her raunchy single “Partition.” She said the lyrics were mostly free-styled by her, and she was afraid to play it for her loved ones.
“It takes me back to being in my car as a teenager,” she recalled. “It takes me back to when me and my husband first met, and he tries to scoop me and he thinks I’m the hottest thing in the world. I kinda had this whole fantasy of being in the car, and this whole movie played in my head. I didn’t have a pen and paper. And I was so embarrassed after I recorded the song because I’m just talking s–t. I’m like, ‘I can’t play this for my husband!’ I still haven’t played it for my mom. She’s going to be very mad at me.”
The accompanying video for the Grammy winner’s tune is equally suggestive as she dances at the Crazy Horse nightclub while a cigar-smoking Jay Z looks on.
“The day that I got engaged was my husband’s birthday, and I took him to Crazy Horse and I remember thinking ‘Damn, these girls are fly,’” Beyonce recounted. “I just thought it was the ultimate sexy show. I was like, ‘I wish I was up there, I wish I could perform that for my man.’ So that’s what I did for the video.”

I don’t really have a problem with what she’s saying or how she’s saying it – this is her choice, to focus so much of her journey on how she looks and “empowerment” through looks and superficiality. It’s her thing, and she’s not saying, “Every woman is like this, every woman needs to lose the baby weight and perform empowering strip teases for their husbands after having a baby.” It’s just HER thing and she thinks she’s being an inspiration to all of those women who have had babies and want to work hard to take off the weight. I guess.

She and former NFL player Eric, 34, got engaged more than three years ago, and since then she’s given birth to daughter Maxwell, 20 months, and son Ace, 6 months.
But Jessica, who boasts a personal fortune of $100 million, and Eric have yet to set a wedding date. “Things keep changing,” said the source.
“Jessica’s business empire is expanding, and when she had kids, it became even more important to get an iron-clad prenuptial agreement in place.
“Jessica’s got an army of legal eagles at work, updating that prenup.
“It doesn’t help that Eric has been unemployed the entire time they’ve known each other, and he doesn’t seem to have any plans to get a J-O-B. Let’s face it, his job is being Mr. Jessica Simpson – even though they’re not even married yet.”
Eric, a tight end, played football at Yale University and was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2001. But injuries kept him out of the 2003 and 2005 seasons, and he was released by the New Orleans Saints in 2008 after only one year.
He proposed to Jessica one month after his divorce from first wife Keri was finalized, but Jessica reportedly purchased her own five-carat ruby engagement ring.
When Eric and Jessica got engaged, he reportedly had big plans to open a chain of vegan restaurants or launch some other business enterprise.
But those plans never materialized, and these days the jobless hunk sports unkempt hair and a scruffy beard as he accompanies Jessica around, often toting Maxwell or Ace.
“On one hand, Jessica thinks Eric is a great father, but she wants him to earn his own living,” said the source. “If that doesn’t happen, she has no problem keeping her unmarried status.”

Jay Z's Magna Carta Tour may be one the hottest rap concerts to attend in recent memory, but two women allegedly took things a bit too far with their aspirations to get tickets.
The following story involves a fake baby, Craigslist and a man who was ultimately disfigured as result. If you came looking for struggle, this is the article for you.
According to a Houston court's documents, a man posted eight tickets on the sketchy site after he realized he couldnt' attend the Jigga concert at the Toyota Center this past December 19. Two women, Denitra Sherrelle Green and Cessica Desha Darden, both 20, responded to the ad on December 15 and met at a nearby Starbucks. Instead of experiencing a simple business transaction, a lethal case of aggravated robbery transpired.
Local 10 Reports:
Court documents state the man met the two suspects, later identified as Denitra Sherrelle Green and Cessica Desha Darden, after they asked him to come outside the coffee shop because they couldn't leave a baby in their vehicle.
The man and his girlfriend went up to the vehicle to speak to Darden through the passenger side window. He told police he leaned into the window with the eight tickets so the suspects could see the tickets better and that's when Green accelerated the car.
Investigators say the man got stuck in the passenger window, grabbing onto the door and pulling his feet off the ground as the vehicle sped out of the parking lot and onto Durham.
The man asked Green to stop the vehicle, but she refused and Darden kicked his arm to try to get him off the car, according to court documents. Eventually, the man fell off and the suspect's vehicle ran him over.
Of course these two geniuses were caught when authorities found them in the seats to which the man had tickets for. They both had a bond set for $30,000. The man reportedly will need plastic surgery after suffering road rash to his face and slew of broken bones and appendages.
Jay Z tickets aren't supposed to hurt anybody.

Glad to see Tameka enjoying herself after the turmoil she endured involving her children. First, Tameka lost her 11-year-old son, Kile Glover,a year and a half ago in a jet ski accident. Kile was riding on an inner tube on Lake Lanier when a family friend driving a jet ski accidentally collided with Kile and another young girl, eventually killing him.

Reality TV star Kenya Moore who has been the drama queen of RHOA has calmed it down these last few episodes. We guess Kenya is tired of looking crazy.

Sources close to Kenya — who is 43 — tell us she had surgery Friday to remove fibroid tumors from her uterus.
The fibroids are a benign type of tumor that were discovered during an ultrasound. Doctors say fibroid tumors can cause miscarriages … they told her surgery would increase her chances of a successful pregnancy.
We’re told Kenya — who is single — plans to get pregnant this year … and is going to start In Vitro treatments as soon as she’s healed.
So are Charlize Theron & Sean Penn hitting it these days or what?

All week, various sites have been all “Charlize Theron and Sean Penn are on vacation together, is that weird? Are they dating?” I ignored it because… I don’t know, I like Charlize and I want to think that she’s smarter than that. It’s one thing to be friends with Sean Penn – in my opinion, that’s bad enough. But to actually, willingly date him or sleep with him? Yikes. But it does look like it’s happening.
The basic timeline is this: Charlize and Sean spent New Year’s Eve in Hawaii, at his vacation home (who knew he had a vacation home in Hawaii?!). Charlize brought along her son Jackson and it seemed like it was just a friends’ vacay. Then Charlize, Jackson and Sean all took the same flight back to LA. Then Sean’s car was parked in Charlize’s driveway (not a euphemism) all night long on the 1st & 2nd. And these new photos of Sean? That’s Sean leaving Charlize’s house yesterday. Add to that “proof” the little fact that People Magazine is now running a “Charlize and Sean are probably dating” story, and I think it’s on.

The Oscar winners rang in the New Year together in Hawaii, a source confirms to PEOPLE.
Theron, 38, made a trip to the island without her son, Jackson, 2, to celebrate the holiday by staying at Penn’s beachfront home in Oahu.
Before the clock struck midnight, Penn, 53, spent Tuesday afternoon surfing in the Pacific while the Prometheus star soaked up the sun in a multicolored striped bikini. Later the pair met up with a male friend and sat in the sand, enjoying the water view.
On Wednesday evening, the two were spotted stepping off the same flight at LAX airport. On Thursday, Theron and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty actor both left her house in separate cars, a source reveals.
“Charlize and Sean have been friends for years,” says another source. “They have been spotted out together several times in the past few years. Even when Charlize was dating Stuart [Townsend]. They both had dinner with Sean several times.”
Rumors of a romance between the two first flared up in 2010 after Theron split with Townsend. Most recently, the two were seen acting very flirty at Seth MacFarlane’s Halloween party last October.

Miley Cyrus denies reports that she dissed Beyonce and was planning to take her crown.
2014's first feud? Many sites reported that Miley Cyrus kicked off the New Year with a sting to Queen Bey. The 21-year-old pop rocker covers Love Magazine's March 2014 issue, but it was her supposed quotes about Beyonce that raised eyebrows.
Cyrus reportedly said that the biggest blow to Beyonce's career was choosing to have daughter Blue Ivy, almost 2 years. "As Beyonce grows in motherhood and all the crap it does to your body, it will create a vacuum for fresh young faces to rise up and no one else can properly fill that void right now," the former Disney star reportedly mused (via Daily Mail). "I got the total package, you know, the curves, the rhythm, and the voice. I'm just the best."
Cyrus quickly took to Twitter to dispel the rumors.
"That quote people MADE UP about Beyonce just made me lol! Imagine if I said I got 'the looks and the curves I'm just better!' Bahahahhaha," she tweeted on Jan. 2. Ludacris Had A Baby......But NOT With Longterm Girlfriend Eudoxie!
We've been holding onto this nugget of information for a little while and now we can reveal that rapper Ludacris (aka Chris Bridges) had a baby with Tamika Fuller (someone who's been described as a "friend" from high school). The news was confirmed through court documents Ludacris filed in Georgia where he's asking the courts to cap his child support payments.
According to TMZ, Luda claims he makes $25,842.41 a month so his monthly child support payments should be capped at $1,754. Hmmm....$2K a month doesn't seem like much from a man who's allegedly worth $12M. Maybe that's why Tamika had to "register" at Target....
Coming on the heels of Dwyane Wade's revelation about his newborn son, Luda is the second high profile celeb to have news about a "love child" surface this week. While Dwyane and Gabrielle Union claimed they were on a "break" during the conception of his son, we've never known about Luda and Eudoxie taking a "break" (they've been together for years!). O.J. Simpson Is Begging President Obama For Pardoning While He Is Undergoing Tests For ‘BRAIN CANCER’
O.J. Simpson is having the health scare of his life The jailed former football legend is undergoing secret medical exams for a cancerous tumor in his brain and is convinced he hasn’t got long to live. O.J. who is 66-years-old is serving out a 33-year kidnapping, assault and robbery sentence in a Nevada prison. The National Enquirer is reporting that just months ago that the 66-year-old had such an extreme case of diabetes that his life was at risk and that Simpson had written to President Obama begging to be pardoned because of his health.
O.J. says his memory is slipping and he gets painful headaches and other symptoms,’ a source told The Enquirer, listing blurry vision, occasional stuttering and hearing problems as other concerns. He also at times feels confused and has unusual bursts of anger and fits of depression. The Enquirer reports that Simpson has finally agreed to the tests and is convinced he hasn’t got long to live, telling a friend:
‘I feel the end coming. But I don’t want to die in prison like common jailhouse scum.’
The publication reports he has even begged President Obama for a pardon so he can die comfortably at home. Wow!
