British Radio Station Bans Jay Z’s ‘Drunk In Love’ Verse Because It Promotes Domestic Violence
Well folks, yet another Beyoncé track is attracting controversy. British Internet radio station BANG Radio is speaking out against Beyoncé’s popular “Drunk In Love” track featuring her hubby, Jay Z, Mad News UK reports. The station has vowed to nix the Brooklyn rapper’s verse from the song, as they believe it’s “displaying promotion of domestic violence against women.” BANG Radio CEO Jennifer Ogole, further explained their decision to scrub the verse in an issued statement.

“The lyrics derive from the film What’s Love Got To Do With It –  the biopic of Tina Turner and her abusive relationship with her husband Ike Turner,” Ogole wrote. “The lyrics controversially imitate a scene of severe domestic violence within the film, displaying promotion of domestic violence against women; in this light BANG refuse to play the song lyrics from henceforth on our station.”

The statement goes on to say that BANG Radio’s core values will not allow them to continue to play a song containing those kinds of lyrics.
“We believe in the unity of women and music and in no way condone violence, domestic or otherwise, especially not through the power of music…therefore, the decision has been made to wipe the stated lyrics from the song. We believe that ALL people, regardless of age, gender, sexuality or race should have the right to an enjoyable listen to our station without the promotion of such morals,” Ogole continued.

“We stand firm with our values and principles in our passion for social justice,” the statement goes on. “Respectful of what our audience want to hear on BANG Radio, we feel this is the right action to take in regards to the controversial lyrics of the song and we will continue to serve in social equality for people through music and content on our station.”

What do you think of BANG’s decision to pull the track? Were you offended by Jay’s “eat the cake” reference?

Obama Picks ‘Staci Michelle Yandle’, Black Lesbian Judge, For Federal Judgeship
Obama picked Yandle, who has been in private practice for 20 years and runs an Illinois firm, for a slot on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. She would fill a seat being vacated by Judge John Phil Gilbert, who is taking senior status on March 15.

“I am pleased to nominate these distinguished individuals to serve on the United States District Court bench,” Obama said of Yandle and a handful of other nominees he put forward Thursday. “I am confident they will serve the American people with integrity and a steadfast commitment to justice.”
Yandle’s nomination puts her on track to become the second openly lesbian African-American federal judge in the country. Judge Deborah Batts, nominated by President Bill Clinton, was sworn in as a federal judge in Manhattan in June 1994. Batts took senior status in April 2012.

HuffPost reached out to both of Yandle’s home state senators for comment on her nomination. A spokesman for Sen. Mark Kirk (R) did not respond, but Sen. Dick Durbin (D) said he plans to work with Kirk to get her confirmed.
“Staci Yandle is an excellent candidate for the federal bench in Southern Illinois,” Durbin said in a statement. “She will bring a wealth of knowledge and litigation experience to the position. I am pleased that President Obama has nominated her today. I will be working with Senator Kirk to see her nomination approved by the Senate.”

Chrissy Teigen “I AM NOT PREGNANT”
Model Chrissy Teigen and her R&B crooner hubby celebrated a milestone in their relationship when they tied the knot in Italy this past September. And according to some recent reports by a couple of gossip sites, the newlyweds are preparing for another major life event: the birth of their first child. The rumors regarding Chrissy’s pregnancy began swirling after she was spotted sporting what looked like the beginnings of a tiny baby bump, during a night out on the town with fellow model, Brooklyn Decker.
Chrissy took to Twitter earlier today to put an end to the rumors and blast the outlets that have been spreading them.
“Must have forgotten to tell @BrooklynDecker the big news between our tequila shots,” she tweeted with an attached screenshot
“Drinks+dessert pizza= food baby,” Brooklyn replied. “Does this make me the daddy?”
Chrissy also agreed with a fan who pointed out that each time a tabloid falsely accuses her of being pregnant, they’re simply calling her “fat” on the “low.”
“They low key calling you fat, yo,” a fan joked.
“Lol I know, that is the best part. ‘Congrats, chubbs,’ she replied.
The “Sports Illustrated” model concluded by requesting that fans stop asking if she’s pregnant. But our guess is that they won’t have to.
“Anyhow. Please stop asking. It makes me sad every time. Thank you. Love you.”
And there you have it. Chrissy Teigen is not pregnant.

Mother Charged With Killing Her 2 Children During Exorcism
The powers of darkness have backfired on a woman from Maryland after police say she and her friend stabbed and killed her two toddlers and severely injured two more during a botched exorcism.
The Poltergeist parents, Zakieya L. Avery, 28 and Monifa Sanford, 21 have both been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
Via The Washington Post:
The two dead children — a boy, Norell Harris, 1, and a girl, Zyana Harris, 2 — were found Friday morning on their mother's bed in a Germantown townhouse. Both had been stabbed repeatedly, police said. A sister, Taniya Harris, 5, and a brother, Martello Harris, 8, were seriously injured but are expected to survive.
Detectives found two knives that might have been used in the attacks — one about the size of a paring knife and the other a bit larger, police said.
It was also reported that Avery has suffered from mental health issues in the past, unsurprising given the nature of the crime.
There have been a host of supernatural crime stories appearing in the news as of late. A pastor in Minnesota recently tried to rape the "devil" out of a pair of young girls while and Oklahoma used his bible to burn his house down back in October.
The news of familiarity didn't make it easy for the seemingly close-knit community. They held a candle-lit vigil to mourn the children.
An onlooker present at the vigil asked NBC Washington, "How can you hurt a child? To me, to hurt a child, you are a coward," she said coldly.
