TARGET VS WALMART AND THE BEYONCE CONTROVERSY!
Target isn’t too thrilled about Beyoncé’s non-traditional album to her new self-titled album. The store has released a statement, explaining why its shoppers will not be able to cop her singer’s new album in any of their stores. Target spokesperson Erica Julkowski said in a statement to E! News:
At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections. While there are many aspects that contribute to our approach and we have appreciated partnering with Beyonce in the past, we are primarily focused on offering CDs that will be available in a physical format at the same time as all other formats. At this time, Target will not be carrying Beyonce’s new self-titled album ‘Beyonce.’
Meanwhile, Wal-Mart seems to be taking a different approach, opting to offer their customers the CD. Wal-Mart spokesperson Sarah McKinney told theGrio:
We’re gonna do whats right for the customer. Our customers obviously love Beyoncé and we want to make sure we have it in stores… and it will be on this Friday. We’re releasing the album in approximately 4,000 stores nationwide. Our customers love Beyoncé so we’re excited to be able to offer them her new album. I’m sure it will be a top gift this Christmas. People still love to buy physical CDs. There is a demand.
She released her latest album digitally on December 13th. It features 14 new original songs and 17 music videos to accompany them. It is already the second-biggest seller of the year and the fastest-selling album in iTunes history
Balmain Taps Rihanna For Spring Campaign
Everything she touches ends up amazing so it’s no wonder Balmain recruited Rihanna to front their ad campaign for Spring 2014.
Teaming with Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the “We Found Love” singer shot the spread in New York City and will be featured in magazines starting next month.
Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing told WWD, “In front of the camera, she makes you feel like she is the only girl in the world.”
“When the woman that inspires you wears your creations, your vision feels complete,” he added, noting that he considers Rihanna the “icon” of this generation.
Pusha T Pairs With Charity, Donate Sneakers To Kids In Need [PHOTOS]
Success is great and all, but what are your favorite artists doing to give back to their communities? Pusha T can answer that question, as he recently assisted Norfolk, VA-based charity, A 1000 Shoes For A 1000 Smiles, provide needy kids with new adidas sneakers just in time for Christmas.
The G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam rapper actually helped the charitable organization reach their goal for the first time ever. Over 1000 children came to receive their free pair of kicks and to meet the hometown hero.
"I feel blessed to be able to come back to my community and help 1000 Shoes for 1000 Smiles reach it's goal of donating 1000 shoes. This is the first time in the organization's history that this goal was met and I am so grateful to be a part of it," Pusha said in a statement.
Lizetta McKesson, the organization's founder, added "Being able to give needy school age children brand new shoes for Christmas is a great feeling and with our 10 year anniversary coming up in 2014, it was awesome to hit the 1,000 shoe mark. Without Pusha T wanting to help his hometown community this event wouldn't have been this big of a success! Thank you to Pusha T and Adidas for caring enought to want to be apart of our organization and help us give back to our community."

LaTavia, a new addition to the R&B Divas Atlanta cast, debuted her blonde hair.
On Instagram, LaTavia gave a shoutout to Beyonce and the success of her visual album saying "THHHHHHHIIIIIIIISSSSSS is why SHE will ALWAYS BEY the HOTTTTTTTTTTEST chick in the [entire] game.period. Yassssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Fomer 702 singer Meelah, another new addition to R&B Divas Atlanta, looked radiant as she walked the red carpet.
Meelah expressed her excitement about joining Angie and the rest of the divas, "God put it in my lap. I'm appreciative to be on a show like "R&B Divas". I'm so happy that people will get to see what I’m working on."
Angie's co-star Syleena Johnson showed off her curvacious figure.
Syleena's most recent album, 9ine, is a duet project she completed with Meelah's baby daddy Musiq Soulchild.
"Touch it" singer Monifah came out to support Angie as well.

Chris Brown Probation Revoked
Chris Brown's probation has been revoked after his arrest for assaulting a fan in Washington D.C. in October but the pop star will not face jail time...

A judge has revoked Chris Brown's probation following his arrest in October. The singer, who is under felony probation for assault on Rihanna in 2009, will not go to jail because he shows positive progress during his court-ordered rehab.
"The clinical and medical team have witnessed very positive change in Mr. Brown since his psychotropic medications have been changed and he has been taken off medical marijuana. His ability to emotionally regulate himself has improved markedly," the program's director told the court on Monday, December 16.
"I'm pleased [Brown] is doing well in the program and for that reason the court is not included to take the defendant into custody," the judge said.

Tiger Woods Half Brother Arrested for Bomb Threat
Tiger Woods half brother, Earl Dennison Woods Jr., was arrested for calling in a bomb threat at his job.
What a putts.
The half-brother of golf superstar Tiger Woods is in a hole lotta trouble after he called in a fake bomb threat to the Arizona building where he works.
Cops busted Earl Dennison Woods Jr., 58, on charges of using an electronic device to terrify, intimidate, threaten or harass others after he allegedly called his Phoenix workplace, the Department of Economic Security, to say he had a bomb and was going to blow it up on Thursday, KNXV-TV reported. About 100 employees were evacuated after the call came in around 8:30 a.m.
Cops collared Woods after he admitted to the threat, saying he made the call “as a joke.” He has since apologized and is reportedly cooperating with police.
Woods and his famous younger half-brother, Tiger, share the same father, Earl Woods Sr. The blood relatives reportedly have little contact but Earl Woods Jr.’s daughter Cheyenne Woods, 23, is following in her uncle’s golf cleats: She turned pro last year and is on the Ladies European Tour.
