The Daily Buzz for Nov 14

Kendrick Lamar Covers GQ 'Men Of The Year' Issue,
‘Tis the season of celebration for GQ, as they continue to roll out all things associated with their Men of The Year issue. The slew of covers that feature Justin Timberlake, Will Ferrell (and his Anchorman persona Ron Burgundy), Kendrick Lamar, Matthew McConaughey and the late James Gandolfini will be rolling out in the next few days, but today we got a look at what the man who was named rapper of the year, Kendrick Lamar, looks like in his feature.
As expected, Kendrick brought the heat with the interview in the magazine’s eighteenth annual Men of the Year issue.
Lamar opens up to GQ in an interview with Steve Marsh, reflecting on his path to success and sharing how seeing a vision of Tupac when he was 21 heavily influenced his approach to his music (“It wasn’t just about money, hos, clothes, drinkin’. …I started to realize that there’s people out there that can’t really connect to that lifestyle.”)
The rapper also addresses some of his public feuds with other top hip-hop figures, including Drake. While Lamar says the two are “cool” with one another, he admits: “I would be okay if we weren’t.”

Check out some excerpts from the interview below.
On seeing Tupac in a vision when he was 21:
“I was coming from a late studio session, sleeping on Mom’s couch. I’m 26 now—it wasn’t that long ago. I remember being tired, tripping from the studio, lying down, and falling into a deep sleep and seeing a vision of Pac talking to me. Weirdest shit ever. I’m not huge on superstition and all that shit. That’s what made it so crazy. It can make you go nuts. Hearing somebody that you looked up to for years saying, ‘Don’t let the music die.’ Hearing it clear as day. Clear as day. Like he’s right there. Just a silhouette.”

On the state of his relationship with Drake:
“Pretty cool.” Shrugs. “And I mean, I would be okay if we weren’t.”

On if Drake is one of his role models:
“No—peer. If anything. We all peers.”

On rumored confrontations at Diddy’s Ciroc Amaretto Launch Party / VMA Afterparty:
“It was all love at that party,” he told me on the private jet.

On the themes of his music:
“It wasn’t just about money, hos, clothes, drinkin’,” he explains. “I mean, I come from that world, but at the same time, I started to realize that there’s people out there that can’t really connect to that lifestyle. They’re in the struggle.”

Got it…..The "Men of the Year" issue of GQ is on stands now.

Maino Threatens Trinidad Jame$ On Twitter, More NYC Rappers React
We've all seen the video, but now comes the angst and agitation. Last night in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Trinidad James$ performed at Converse's Rubber Tracks Studios where he took a blatant shot at the birthplace of Hip-Hop. Today, Maino, Smoke DZA and more spoke up on their city's behalf.
Do you think these next-gen New York rappers have a right to be disgruntled at Trinidad Jame$?
"What the f**k happened?" James ranted to the mostly stunned crowd. "I remember when New York rap was the s**t, and us in the south, us 'bammas, we was like, 'What the f**k?' and we just did our own thing. But now we run y'all, that's crazy."
The video instantly went viral, which found fans and critics alike all offering their own thoughts on the matter. Today (Nov. 13), New York rapper's Maino, AG Da Coroner and Smoke DZA all took to Twitter to vent their frustrations about the Def Jam musician's southern-fried rant.
Understandably not pleased with the way their city is being manhandled, Maino was eager to show the "All Gold Everything" rapper just how old Brooklyn got down. After threatening via Twitter to "brush those teeth" and "clean him up," Maino's online venom caught James' attention, who quickly responded, tweeting, "You better than that. You can hit my line my n****. That's 100."
Check out Maino and company's commentary
The instant chat seemed to cool down one of Hip-Hop's most brash personas (remember this?!) from offering anymore challenges, but can the same be said for DZA and AG?

Mama Please LET IT GO! Katherine Jackson Has APPEALED The Michael Jackson Wrongful Death Verdict
Well, you guys should have known this was coming. Katherine and the Jackson family were not going to take this lying down. Just a few weeks after Dr. Conrad Murray was released from prison and proven innocent for the wrongful death of Pop Icon Michael Jackson as you know, the jury ruled AEG was NOT responsible for MJ’s death, concluding the company was not wrong in hiring Dr. Conrad Murray.

Katherine and MJ’s 3 kids sued for more than $40 billion, claiming Michael’s loss devastated their lives. It’s very difficult and even borderline impossible to overturn jury verdicts in civil cases, but it can happen especially if the judge screwed up an important ruling.

James Harden And His Rough Feet
All the money in the world couldn’t fix those toes. His game is very much alive, but his feet look dead.
My man’s toes look suffocated. Ewwwww…
Where is the trainer?

Morris Chestnut, Regina Hall, Tameka Raymond, Monyetta Shaw & Plenty More Hit The "Best Man Holiday" ATL Private Screening
As part of the final event of the Bronze Lens Film Festival, Regina Hall, Morris Chestnut and director Malcolm Lee showed a private screening of Best Man Holiday in Atlanta last night.  And Mayor Kasim Reed also got in on the event.

Tameka Raymond and Monyetta Shaw were spotted again together.  They've got folks talking about a possible ATL ex-wives/ex-girlfriends style reality show in the making.  That will be....interesting.
Young Joc and Karlie Redd also came together.  They've been everywhere "together" these days.  Clearly a new storyline of "Love & Hip Hop: ATL" is in the works.
Also, look who appears to be back together.  Towanda Braxton and her hubby posed it up for pics together--which they rarely do because we ALL know their issues.  And it's all just in time for the new season of "Braxton Family Values."
Cast members Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall looked great.
Atlanta Falcons baller Ray Edwards brought his chick of the moment along.
Shanti Das hit the carpet.
And so did Dice.
Lisa Wu is back to her longer locks.  Cute dress.
Angie Stone interviewed with Mo Ivory on the carpet.
R.L. of Next brought his fab wife along.
And Carl Payne looks like he's been dieting hard these days.  "The TLC Story" star made his way to the event to support.

Fun times.

North West with Riccardo Tisci
Kim Kardashian shares a picture of her daughter North West with designer Riccardo Tisci.
In her almost five months on this planet, little North West has managed to evade most of the paparazzi, but she didn't factor in her doting mom, Kim Kardashian! The 33-year-old reality star took to Instagram on Nov. 12 to post a precious shot of her baby daughter with Italian designer and stylist Riccardo Tisci.
"#NewStylist @riccardotisci17," she captioned the pic of the designer with little Nori in his arms. This is one of the few "official" photos of the baby Kardashian or her fiancé Kanye West have released. The first image aired on Kris Jenner's now-canceled talk show in August 2013. Since then, West and Kardashian have done their best to keep their daughter away from prying photographers.

Feud Between Lady Gaga and Perez Hilton Rages On
The feud between Lady Gaga and Perez Hilton kicks up a notch.
Lady Gaga opens up for the first time about her ongoing feud with Perez Hilton in a new interview with USA Today – and he’s already hitting back.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, the former friends have been sparring online in recent months, with the blogger mocking the pop star’s serious hip injury and posting nude photos of her on Twitter. Gaga later accused Perez of harassment and stalking after he allegedly tried to buy an apartment in the same New York City building in which she resides.
Now the singer says she’s still taking the situation very seriously. “It’s fine to hate me afar. Everyone can hate me from afar. But the second you try to move in next door to me, I know you’re getting too close, and it’s not safe,” explains Gaga.

She goes on, “Already it’s stressful not feeling safe as it is. I have lots of security. I get death threats all the time. Some things bring out the New Yorker in me.”
“If you hate somebody and you want to move next door to me, the only thing I can think of is that you’re moving in because you want to blow yourself up,” says Gaga.
“There’s thousands and millions of apartments in New York. You don’t need to move in next door to me,” she adds.
In response Perez tweeted, “I’ve got my son and mom here with me in NYC and you think I’m going to blow myself up? Stop doing drugs!!”
He further wrote to the music star’s parents, “If your daughter ends up dead, it’s from a drug overdose. Not cuz I blew us up!… She’s sick and delusional!”
The blogger also again urged followers to buy Christina Aguilera’s old Bionic album instead of Gaga’s new ARTPOP record, came out Tuesday.

Future Talks Babies & Ciara Befriending His Baby Mamas & His Mom + Ciara Pops Backs
When CiCi posted the above pics of her and Future's baby mamas--along with a pic with her future mom-in-law Ms. Stephanie--folks were wondering how THAT happened.  Well, Ciara hit up Drake & Future's concert in Atlanta a few nights ago and apparently, many of Future's baby's mamas were invited.  Somebody had to watch all his kids.
Folks around the net had some things to say about all this odd lovey-doveyness that seemed to cross the line of "cordial."   So when Future hit up the Rickey Smiley show this morn, he addressed some things.

On whether babies are on the way
"Everything's going as planned.  Everything's going well." (Mmhmm...)

On what makes her special and how she befriends his babies' mamas
"Man, her personality.  Even with being at the concert yesterday, I had my kids, I had my kids moms and she just catered to everybody. Just showing everyone hospitality. I mean you can’t get a girl that just get along with your kids moms and get along with your mom that can just mingle with your family and bringing everybody together and just want that to happen. Sometimes they just want to beef and bring or split everybody apart. But she’s the kind of person she want everyone in the same room."

"That’s a real woman. You call the kids and you check up on them. We’ll bring them over and want to spend time with them. Sometimes when you already have kids before you’re in a relationship, a girl that just like despise your kids don’t even want them around. They're jealous of your kids. She never showed that trait before."

It seems Ciara may be mad at what folks had to say about her cheesing it up with most of Future's baby mamas (possibly only the ones he's paid his child support to).  She tweeted yesterday:

Ghetto Blogs Always Have A Ghetto Perspective:) HaHa..:)
Thats All U Got, Negativity?:) Gotta Try A Little Harder, You'll Never Break Through This Wall Of Positivity #GodIsWitMe Happy Sun 2 All!

Some may define "ghetto" as a man having multiple baby mamas and owing child support.  But you know...it's all relative.

Cute pics CiCi!

AND FINALLY FROM “THE CRAZY PEOPLE SHOPPING AT WALMART” FILES
‘HELL NAW’
I feel like these two can stay in a nice profanity filled endless circle of f*cks going back and forth.
