Madonna Said She Raped At Knifepoint
Before she became an internationally renowned superstar, Madonna was just another hopeful trying to make it in New York.
In a candid essay for the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the 55-year-old queen of pop opened up about some painful incidents in her past, including an incident in which she was raped.
“New York wasn’t everything I thought it would be,” she wrote. “It did not welcome me with open arms. The first year, I was held up at gunpoint. Raped on the roof of a building I was dragged up to with a knife in my back.”
The “Material Girl” added that she “had my apartment broken into three times. I don’t know why; I had nothing of value after they took my radio the first time.”
“I was defiant. Hell-bent on surviving. On making it,” Madonna continued. “But it was hard and it was lonely, and I had to dare myself every day to keep going.”
“If I can’t be daring in my work or the way I live my life, then I don’t really see the point of being on this planet,” Madonna she continued.
She also delved into people’s perception of her when she was a teenager.
“Most people thought I was strange. I didn’t have many friends; I might not have had any friends. But it all turned out good in the end, because when you aren’t popular and you don’t have a social life, it gives you more time to focus on your future.”
Even though the mother-of- four still walks a bit on the wild side with her music and fashion, she explained it was much easier when she was in her 20′s to keep up that persona.
“When you’re 25, it’s a little bit easier to be daring, especially if you are a pop star, because eccentric behavior is expected from you.”
Madonna discussed when she adopted her son David in 2006 from a small country in Africa, the criticism she received for it describing it as “a real low point” in her life.
“I didn’t know that trying to adopt a child was going to land me in another s—storm,” she said. “But it did. I was accused of kidnapping, child trafficking, using my celebrity muscle to jump ahead in the line, bribing government officials, witchcraft, you name it. Certainly I had done something illegal!”
“This was an eye-opening experience,” she continued.
“I could get my head around people giving me a hard time for simulating masturbation onstage or publishing my Sex book, even kissing Britney Spears at an awards show, but trying to save a child’s life was not something I thought I would be punished for.”
The star said that despite how difficult it was, she learned a valuable life lesson from it.
“One of the many things I learned from all of this: If you aren’t willing to fight for what you believe in, then don’t even enter the ring.”
Naomi Campbell TALKS Mentoring, Maturity And Racial Equality In Fashion With "Net-a-Porter" Magazine
In the latest issue of "Net-a-Porter" Magazine, supermodel Naomi Campbell talks mentoring, maturity and fighting for racial equality in the fashion industry. See her photoshoot inside....
In the latest issue of Net-a-Porter's EDIT shoppable magazine, supermodel Naomi Campbell reflects on her over the top career and tells where she's headed with her tv empire ("The Face"). She's looking simply stunning in every pic. Of course.
Here are the highlights:
On mentoring:
“I want people to really understand what the world of modeling is about, and how hard we work. I like the mentoring aspect, as opposed to sitting in my chair and judging someone. It’s really rewarding to see the models transformed and it makes me feel like I’m doing something right.”
On building relationships:
“I LEARNED something from each photographer I WORKED with, their different styles and how they WANTED me to be
On Nelson Mandela:
“There will never be anyone like him again. When you meet him, you just get such a positive aura. It’s incredible.”
On how she stays in shape:
Since I had my operation on my knee [in 2012, after being reportedly mugged], Pilates has become very important. I don’t want to build muscle, just to tone. I’m not extreme about what I eat – I let chocolate and crisps come in at times. You have to allow the little things that make you happy. For ten days prior to the Versace show, I just drank juice – carrot, ginger, pineapple – to cleanse.”
On racism in the industry:
"I do think there is still racism. Joan Smalls and Jourdan Dunn and I speak with each other and, sometimes, I’m a little horrified with the things they tell me.”

SIMPLY OVAH!!
Brazilian Man Crushed & Killed By Half Ton Of Weed [PHOTOS]
A Brazilian drug trafficker was doomed by his own product. After speeding away from authorities giving chase, the unidentified man crashed into a tree and was crushed by the half ton of weed he had stowed in his SUV.
Check out photos of the crash scene in the gallery.
Reports the Daily Mail:
The man died after he lost control of his car and hit a tree, resulting in his stock of weed stored in the backseat shooting forward, squashing him against the wheel.
The driver was on the run from the Federal Highway police, who had taken up the chase after the smuggler refused to stop at a road block in Bataguassu, 210 miles from Campo Grande.
The man was on his way from the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul to Sao Paulo with 500kg of marijuana when he was asked to stop by police.
In an attempt to escape, he embarked on a three-mile chase which ended against the tree where the man died instantly, Brazilian police said.
The drug dealing struggle is real, and deadly.

Oh My? Miley Cyrus Proves She’s Even More Ratched In Terry Richardson Shoot
Famed photographer and video director Terry Richardson has focused his lense on another muse. This week, the photographer shot pop-star Miley Cyrus during her visit to New York City. And in typical Miley style, the 20-year-old served up racy and buzz-provoking shots using props like a soda can, blunt and uber-revealing fashion. The shoot, comes on the heels of her MTV special, Miley Cyrus: The Movement. During the special, the Nashville native responded to her jaw-dropping MTV VMA performance, explaining:
You can watch that performance at the VMAs and people could think it’s just a hot mess, but it’s a strategic hot mess. Right now, I’m a point in my career when I can be exactly who I want to be. I just want to like have fun and not think about any repercussions.
She continued:
Everything we do has to be a moment. If I’m going to do it, it has to be the best, so every detail seems much more magnified to me. I can easily let little things that don’t matter to me that much shut me down completely.
Anywho, check out photos of Miss Cyrus and chime in on if the artist is misunderstood or inappropriately over-the-top?
Again Oh My?

Daz Dillinger Wants To SUE Grand Theft Auto V
West Coast Hip Hop fans who picked up the latest Grand Theft Auto game might have been delighted to hear Tha Dogg Pound’s “What Would You Do” blaring from the radio, but Dogg Pound member Daz Dillinger was not so excited.
“@DAZDILLINGER is lookn 4 a great lawyer who handles entertainment??? DM me ! i got a job for U a big case Daz Vs Grand Theft Auto 5?!” tweeted Daz, clearly surprised to hear his group’s song in the game.
He went on, “@DAZDILLINGER Vs Grand Theft Auto! using my music wit out permission & noclearance what should i do y’all?”
It looks like Daz wants to sue GTA over their use of his record, but it will ultimately come down to who owns the rights to the track. Also, Twitter might not be the greatest place to solicit a top-notch lawyer.
I don’t blame Daz, do you.
