Kerry Washington is suited up in all gold for the new cover of ESSENCE Magazine, just in time for the Gladiators to turn up our "Scandalreturn back to TV!
Kerry Washington is golden hot on the November 2013 issue of ESSENCE magazine styled by June Ambrose in a Rafael Cennamo dress. And it's all promo for her return to ABC this Thursday night for Season 3 of "Scandal".
The gorgeous newlywed talked about why her role as smarty pants Olivia Pope has more impact on America then we think. Not only are we preaching to & convincing the masses how amazing black women CAN be, Kerry Washington, Shonda Rhimes and the entire cast is showing it every week through the role of "Olivia Pope." And it's making everyone take notice in a way they never did before.
Kerry summed it up in her cover story saying:
“They are allowing an educated, intelligent, powerful, complicated, human, flawed, multidimensional Black woman into their homes. They’re not walking past her on the street, they’re not trying to avoid engaging her, they’re not ignoring her and pretending she’s somebody else’s family and somebody else’s problem…”

Big Sean Sports Fall Gear & Talks Getting His Point Across In GQ Mag [PHOTOS]
If you have been a fan of Big Sean long enough (remember "Get You Some"), you know that he's always been fashion savvy. In GQ's recently released Fall Style Manual issue, the men's fashion magazine linked up with the G.O.O.D. Music rapper to talk the 15 Freshest Style Moves for the fall, boy.
Says GQ:
Showcasing the 15 Freshest Style Moves for this fall, the 25 year old rapper demonstrates his signature flare in a stylish photo shoot, and then sits down with GQ to set the record straight about his reputation. "It's fucking crazy that people think I'm just this ass man, talking about ass-quakes and ass-shakes all day," he says. With his second album, "Hall of Fame," he tells GQ "I wanted to get my points across, instead of just showing how good I can rap."

K. Michelle Kicks NBA Baller Lance Stephenson To The Curb: ‘I’m Single’
That NBA baby mama drama is for real.
Just a month after Elle Varner decided to part ways from her baller boo Iman Shumpert, her good friend K. Michelle is following suit by kicking her Pacers boyfriend Lance Stephenson to the curb. So what exactly happened to this couple-months love affair?
Last week, things became tense between K. and Lance after he allegedly posted a photo of himself on Instagram, which showed his ex-girlfriend and baby mama posted up in the bed in the background. Of course K. Michelle caught wind of the rumor and began dropping subliminals on Instagram that she was done with Lance. The photos included a pic of her partying with Tami Roman with the caption “No tears here” as well as text photos that included the phrases, “It doesn’t matter who hurt you or broke you down, what matters is what made you smile again,” and “Honesty is an expensive gift so don’t expect it from cheap people.”
She also captioned one of the photos with a rant about not being able to “respect a coward” and a liar “ain’t a real BOSS.”
“Say that! I hate a liar!!! I can forgive alot but a liar is a coward to me. I don’t respect a coward, so we can’t rock. If you gotta lie to do your dirt, you ain’t a real BOSS. A boss will hurt you with the truth before they tell you a lie.”
K. made the news official when she posted to her Twitter account:
I’m single. Ill explain later. I have to do what’s best for me. ❤ If it doesn’t make you smile, know when to walk away. There’s only so much a heart can take. No one deserves to be lied to and cheated on.
While K. was tweeting her subliminals, Lance also posted a photo of himself holding a basketball with the caption:
“Let no one get between us” Happy I woke up to see another day and I’m blessed to have all the people that’s in my life. Erase the stress don’t need them there
As far as Lance’s baby’s mother, she’s rumored to be pregnant by Lance again. She posted to her Instagram:
“I would love to clarify something… I will not hide my pregnancy because of my children’s father has chosen to be untruthful. I will continue to be strong and positive…. Men lie, women, lie, but God doesn’t! Blessings are to be rejoiced not denied!”
These surface level relationships and the drama that comes with them are for the birds. On the positive side, some great albums may come out of this.

Actor, comedian and late-night talk show host Arsenio Hall sits down with Oprah for “Oprah’s Next Chapter”
Hall talks about the significance in being one of the only African American hosts in late-night today and everything he learned from his two decade hiatus from the spotlight. From the episode viewers will learn about Arsenio’s big move to L.A. back when he was a young comic trying to make it and professional advice from Jay Leno that helped him along the way.
Hall, also chatted about being the only late night African-American host and what he learned during the 20-year hiatus from Hollywood. He will also open up about being a single father and the advice he received from his late night competitor and friend, Jay Leno.

Don’t try to steal her umbrella, as Rihanna has become pretty proficient when it comes to foiling home invasion attempts.
The “We Found Love” songstress’ Los Angeles mansion was almost burglarized over the weekend, but her top-notch security system sent the robbers running for the Hollywood Hills.
Per a TMZ source, the criminals drove up the private road leading to Ri-Ri’s house and chucked a chair through a sliding glass door.
But when the siren started blaring, the bandits took off and nothing was stolen. Thankfully, Rihanna was in an entirely different hemisphere, playing shows in Australia.
Asia Sparks To Be The Next Nicki Minaj
Our peeps over at 4UMF had a chance to run into the talented beauty and lyrical beast Asia Sparks during BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta, GA.
Sparks, having only been professionally rapping for 1 year, is already creating a buzz in the music industry. After posting a video of herself doing a cover of a previous BET Hip Hop Awards cypher, Asia Sparks quickly gained the attention of many huge music heads. Including rapper 50 Cent and Kevin Lyles, whom is her current manager.
Sparks will be one of the talented emcees apart of the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards cypher. Although she seems shy and somewhat reserve, she is anything but. Check out the interview and her spitting lyrics below.

NeNe's New Hair Show Up At Peter Thomas' Birthday Party (Marlo, Toya Wright & The "RHOA" Cast Party It Up)
NeNe's got some wiggery y'all. And she debuted it last night at Peter Thomas' 53rd birthday party in Atlanta. At Peter Thomas' Bar One restaurant, his wife Cynthia Bailey hosted his 53rd birthday. And all his favorite "Housewives" came out to help him celebrate.
We noticed NeNe Leakes' new wig that seemed inspired by Donald Trump. Can't decide if we love it or not.
She posed it up with her hubby 2x over Gregg and Toya Wirght and her husband Memphitz.
Speaking of Toya, she kept it cute in her fave look-- a printed bodycon dress and a matching hot pink blazer and royal blue ankle strap heels.
Pretty as usual as she posed it up with Porsha Stewart and Kandi Burruss.
Toya also posed it up with her girls Marlo Hampton, who's been in all kinds of drama as NeNe's bridesmaid on "I Dream Of NeNe", and Kenya Moore. Marlo's wearing Herve Leger Max Azria's printed two piece Beyonce rocked for SHAPE magazine.

Marc Jacobs Delivers Last Runway Show For Louis Vuitton
After a 16 year tenure, Marc Jacobs officially stands down as the creative director of Louis Vuitton. According to WWD, Robert Duffy, Jacobs’ business partner and LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault confirmed that the designer is indeed leaving the French fashion house.
Jacobs leaves LV to focus on his own brand, as it gets ready for public offering. Jacobs delivered his finale runway show, Wednesday, for Paris fashion week. A very fitting all black collection, marking the end of an era. Marc Jacobs was responsible for a a complete transformation of the leather goods brand using inspiration from designer muses such as Coco Chanel, Rei Kawakubo, and Miuccia Prada. While Jacobs’ replacement has yet to be announced, there has been speculation that Balenciaga’s former creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière, may be next up to lead the fashion house. For now, Check out Jacobs’ finale runway show which reminisce pieces he has created throughout his 16 year stay with LV.

WNBA Finals Relocated Due To Disney On Ice
The Atlanta Dream will be relocating their home games for the WNBA Finals due to a conflict with Disney on Ice, which was previously scheduled to appear at Atlanta’s Phillips Arena.
The home games will instead by played in nearby Gwinnett, Georgia at the Arena at Gwinnett Center, which is an event space and the home for a local minor league hockey team.
The Dream’s opponent, the Minnesota Lynx, have home-court advantage, so the first two games will be played in Minneapolis.
Vanessa Simmons Talks Rev. Run’s Reaction to Her Pregnancy & Wedding Plans: ‘I Don’t Want To Be A Pregnant Bride’
The very first Simmons grandchild is on her way!
When “Daddy’s Girl” Vanessa announced that she and her longtime boyfriend Mike Wayans were expecting, the first thing that folks wanted to know was “What does Rev. Run have to say about this??” With her father being so religious, no one would have guessed that one of his daughters would have a baby before marriage.
According to Vanessa’s recent interview with Essence Magazine, she was definitely nervous about dropping the big news to her dad, and even though he would have preferred her to not have a baby out of wedlock, he’s definitely excited about being a grandfather.
“There’s this whole idea of first comes the marriage then the baby carriage so I was so nervous, but my dad was actually really excited because this is the first grandchild for my family. I think somewhere deep inside he was kinda like, ‘When am I going to experience that part of life?’ Of course he wants us to get married, but for now he was like, ‘We’re gonna figure this out. Just be happy and have a healthy pregnancy. I’m behind you a hundred percent.’”
Vanessa also revealed that wedding bells are in the future, but not before the baby comes.
“Of course we talk about [marriage] and it’s looking good, but I don’t want to be a pregnant bride. I wanna have a beautiful wedding, hopefully a destination wedding where I can show off my figure in a beautiful long flowing dress.”
While she’s been cooped up at home for the past three months because of morning sickness, Vanessa has also been putting Mike to work running around for her food cravings, which means he’s becoming a regular at 7-Eleven and Jamba Juice. The couple had also been brainstorming boy baby names so when they found out they were having a girl, it threw them off.
Now I’m stumped thinking of little girl names. But I’m excited because little girl clothes are amazing and I’m the girliest girl ever!”
Final Coroner's Report Details Scene Of Cory Monteith's Death
His passing shocked fans this summer and now details are coming to light on the death of Cory Monteith in a Vancouver hotel.
In a final report from the BC Coroners Service in Victoria, the scene in the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel was described.
Among the contents of the room were drug paraphernalia, "including a spoon with drug residue and a used hypodermic needle, along with two empty champagne bottles and glasses."
At the time of death, the report states that that 31-year-old actor had a moderate blood alcohol level of 0.13, with morphine, codeine, and a metabolite of heroin in his system.
Noting his history of drug use and long periods of abstinence from opioids, the report said that a period of non-use lessens tolerance to the drug's toxicity.
