Apple Sells 9 Million New iPhones In 3 Days
Did you get your hands on a new iPhone 5 this weekend? You have company. Apple reports that it sold nine million new iPhones in just three days after the September 20 release of new models.
The tally includes the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c versions of the smartphone. By comparison, last year's iPhone 5 release sold five million its first weekend of availability.
“This is our best iPhone launch yet―more than nine million new iPhones sold―a new record for first weekend sales," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO via a press statment. The demand for the new iPhones has been incredible, and while we've sold out of our initial supply of iPhone 5s, stores continue to receive new iPhone shipments regularly. We appreciate everyone's patience and are working hard to build enough new iPhones for everyone."
The iPhone 5s features the Apple-designed A7 64-bit chip, an 8 megapixel iSight camera with True Tone flash and the Touch ID tech that lets you unlock your phone with your fingerprint.

Stretching out their romantic honeymoon, LeBron James and his bride Savannah Brinson enjoyed a lovely gondola ride in Venice, Italy this week.
The NBA star gazed adoringly at his love, while the two sailed through the beautiful Italian waters. During their time in Venice, Lebron managed to send out a tweet, which read, “Dinner time for the James' #Venice #Honeymoon #TravelByBoat #WaterTaxi #CrazyMustSee”
And it appears their holiday is coming to a close, as King James shared, “Off to the final stop on this great honeymoon! Later,”
NFL Suing M.I.A.
The NFL is suing rapper M.I.A. for making an obscene gesture at Superbowl XLVI.
The league demands $1.5 million from the rapper-singer and a public apology, but her lawyer says "she is going to go public with an explanation of how ridiculous it was for the NFL and its fans to devote such furor to this incident."
On Feb. 5, 2012, nearly 167 million TV viewers tuned in to Super Bowl XLVI to watch a matchup between the New York Giants and New England Patriots. Besides the football action, what had people talking that day was a halftime performance by M.I.A. and, specifically, how she extended her middle finger during a performance of "Give Me All Your Luvin' " while mouthing, "I don't give a shit."
But the NFL did care. One month after the performance, the league initiated legal proceedings against the English-Sri Lankan rapper-singer. In a March 13, 2012, filing at the American Arbitration Association, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, the league demanded $1.5 million from M.I.A. for allegedly breaching her performance contract and tarnishing its goodwill and reputation.

Jacoby Jones Injured in Fight
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones was injured after a brawl broke out on a party bus.
He and teammates were out partying in Washington D.C., celebrating Bryant McKinnie’s birthday. The fight broke out at about 3 AM. The injury reportedly came when a bottle was swung and connected with Jones’ head. An ambulance arrived at the scene, but Jones’ didn’t go to the hospital.
Our sources say a stripper named Sweet Pea is the one who hit Jacoby with a gigantic Ace of Spades bottle and this may have triggered the brawl. We’re told the bottle smashed over his head and he was “bleeding everywhere.”
According to TMZ, the stripper reportedly smashed the bottle over his head, causing him to bleed everywhere. Friends of Jacoby reportedly got into a fight with friends of Bryant. That’s what caused the meleee. When police arrived, no one would cooperate.
Jacoby isn’t playing for the Ravens right now because of an injury.

Kanye West Demands Carpet Be Ironed
Kanye West blows away the staff on the Jools Holland show with his outrageous demands.
It's not unusual for megastars to make diva demands, but Kanye West's request to have his dressing room carpet ironed by BBC staff might be a step too far.
The 36-year-old rapper - who welcomed his first child North into the world with Kim Kardashian in June - caused a stir on the Later with Jools Holland show on Tuesday when he made a series of outrageous requests before taking to the stage to perform.
After turning up for rehearsals in Maidstone, Kent, the star was less than impressed with his studio set and demanded that staff tear it down and rebuild it to his original plans.
He then insisted everything in his dressing room be replaced in the colour white, including the walls, sofa and flowers.
The singer, who joined Sting and Kings of Leon on the show, was also adamant that he and his huge entourage should be given more than half of the fifteen dressing rooms available to the performers.
However, he really shocked BBC employees when he asked for his carpet to be flattened out with a heated tool as it was too bumpy for his liking.
A source told The Sun newspaper: 'Everybody knew Kanye's reputation for being a handful, but nobody had heard of a request for a carpet to be ironed before.
'His entourage took over the studio, even though plenty of other stars were present.
'Luckily once he got to the performance he was very quiet and unassuming.
