Jill Scott Opens Up About Her Divorce: ‘It Was Time To Go.’
In the latest digital issue of Rolling Out, Jill Scott opens up about her five year marriage and divorce, and how her being a mother to a 4-year-old has taught her a tough lesson about love. Peep a few excerpts of her interview:

Love is hard. Finding someone to fall in love with is the hardest part of all. Infatuation is easy. We get caught up in someone’s looks, or their money, but not the person. Or, we’re into someone for a couple of months and then the novelty fades and we’re on to the next. Love is bigger than just the emotion for the moment. Love requires patience. It requires communication. It requires and demands mutual respect and understanding. In this quick-paced world, we want immediate gratification. Our idea of love and having that is great, but the immediate gratification of having it all is what most people are after in this microwavable world. That’s what makes it such a challenge. We have to change our mentality if we want relationships that will last. Finding someone or meeting someone who is equally yoked — that’s major. Not just financially, but someone who is willing to participate with you in life and love. All of those things are what I was told to look for.

She continues:
When it was time to go, it was time to go. I now know if I were to ever get married again, it’s all the way or we’re not going. We’re not making that next move at all. That’s the issue with me. That means I have to find someone willing to make that same exact commitment. If not, life is good. Fruit is sweet, traveling is awesome, and family is healthy. I’ll live, but I would prefer to sit and love someone equally. I’m understanding love even more because I have a child. I know regardless of what he does; spill juice all over the floor or draw on the wall, that I still love him anyway. I still want his company. I still have a deep desire to hold his hand. That’s the next level of love regardless of what’s going on. We still care for one another. We’ve lost a lot of that….It’s not about falling for just anybody. You want to love the whole person. I think we’re all on a hunt. I think everybody wants to be loved and appreciated and wanted. But, you can’t just choose whoever fits the bill. There has to be a connection in a very real way. You have to be there through the good and bad times. I think this movie opens the door for us to explore those thoughts. It’s funny, it’s cute, and it’s very romantic.”

Queens of the Stone Age Rocker Brands Jay Z a Kook
Queens of the Stone Age front man Josh Hommes blasts Jay Z for trying to search his band's bags at the Made in America Music Festival.

Queens of the Stone Age have blasted Jay Z as a ''kook'' because his security wanted to frisk him on their way in to perform at the Made in America festival.
The 'I Sat By The Ocean' band played at the hip-hop mogul's Made in America festival in Philadelphia earlier this month, but didn't enjoy the experience, as they were treated in a heavy handed manner by security.
Singer Josh Homme told US station CBC Radio 2: ''Made in America? with Jay Z? That guy's a kook, you know, He has security frisking the bands on the way in.
''I just told them [security] if you open up my bag we're not playing, so I guess its up to you if we're playing or not.
''I just put my bag up there and said, why don't you figure out what you're going to do.
''The idea that they frisked all my guys and stuff, means you're in a different place ... no-one's ever done that. Maybe that's a hip-hop thing or something.''
Josh added he was also less than impressed when he was then handed a bottle of champagne from Jay Z, because he was then asked to pose for a photo with it.
He added: ''He also gave us some champagne then wanted us to take a picture with it. I was like, 'That's not a gift - that's a marketing tool.' I destroyed it, because I thought it was rude overall.''

D.C. Rappers Plan To Shoot Video In North Korea After Raising $7K On Kickstarter
Two aspiring rappers from the rough streets of Washington, D.C. and its outer regions have achieved an amazing feat. After a Kickstarter campaign surpassed their modest goals of $6,000, duo Pacman & Peso aim to shoot a video in North Korea in hopes to create an undeniable buzz for themselves.
The story has exploded all over Washington media, especially after reported tweets by local elected officials, such as D.C. Councilman Marion Barry, promoting the crowdfunding effort to send the hopefuls into an unknown land. And while Pacman and Peso look like a couple of young toughs, they have a goal of making music their first and only option while choosing to leave the street life alone.
The Washington Post did a lengthy profile on the group and their unlikely producer, Ramsey Aburdene, who grew up middle class and has returned home from college to work on producing beats in his spare time. After a chance meeting with 19-year-old Pacman, a Southeast native, Aburdene's Forest Hills Tenleytown Music Group became the rapper's new home.
His longtime friend, 20-year-old Peso, who grew up in nearby Landover, Md., began tagging along and met Aburdene's friend, Michael Basset, a former military man that was based in the safe zone between North and South Korea; Basset currently studies the region in graduate school.
Aburdene, intrigued by his friend's side work of conducting educational tours to that area, brainstormed the plan to bring Pacman and Peso the zone to shoot a music video. Pacman and Peso's refreshing fearlessness and seemingly genuine curiosity to do the video in the troubled region shouldn't make sense but given their living experiences to date, they look at this as a chance to make history.
From The Washington Post:
“No one's ever been there,” Peso says, explaining why he's interested in going to North Korea. “No one's tried to do the things we trying to do out of there. No one ever shot a video.”
“All you got is the hype behind it,” Pacman adds. “You don't really know what to expect. All you got is what you hear on TV about what North Korea is. That's why I want to go.”
“We want to explore more,” Peso says. “We want to learn more. Do different things.”
“I feel it can't be as bad as people say it is,” Pacman says. “I want to see what's real.”
With their campaign having raised nearly $8,000 with eight more days remaining, the duo have enough to make the trip but they hope to use the extra money to hire professionals in order to enhance the video project.

Coca Cola Apologizes for Offensive Word On Cap
Coca-Cola apologized to a customer in Alberta, Canada, after she found a rude message written on her bottle cap. But almost as surprising is the explanation for it.
Blake Loates cracked open her Vitaminwater only to be greeted by the words “YOU RETARD.”

The language was particularly painful to her and her family as one of Loates’ younger sisters, Fiona, 11, has cerebral palsy and autism.
The cap inspired Loates’ father, who lives in Tacoma, Wash., to issue a lengthy letter of complaint to Vitamin water’s parent company Coca-Cola, which stated in part:

“What would you do if you opened up your bottle of Vitamin Water and on the bottom of the lid it read, “YOU RETARD”?” Doug Loates wrote. “Think about it. I bet you’d be pissed off if you had a Fiona in your life… Can you imagine if SHE had opened this bottle?”
Coca-Cola claims there’s an explanation for the goof-up. The company says the cap was the result of a random pairing of an English and French word. See, “retard” means “late” or “delayed” in French. So the cap was most likely supposed to say “you’re late.”

Check out what Shannon Denny, director of brand communications for Coca-Cola Refreshment Canada, told ABC News:
“This is certainly not an excuse in any way for what has occurred. We wanted them to know that this was in no way intentional and was a mistake on our part during the review process. We also wanted to share that the promotion has since been cancelled and we are no longer producing bottles with those caps,” Denny said.

Sounds like there trying to say we actually F”d up!!

Would you accept Coca-Cola apology?

Tiki Barber and Traci Johnson Expecting First Baby
Tiki Barber and his former mistress are expecting their first child together.

Tiki Barber has revealed he and the 23-year-old woman he left his pregnant wife for are expecting their first child together.
The retired New York Giants running back married one-time mistress and girlfriend Traci Johnson in a civil ceremony in New York's City Hall in July, eight days after his divorce to his wife of 11 years, Ginny, became final.
Speaking on 'Bethenny,' he told America that his fifth child, and Johnson's first, was due in December before rubbing his young bride's belly as the live audience applauded. The episode will air this coming Tuesday.
The controversial former NFL star, 37, said on his way to the Manhattan Marriage Bureau in the summer: 'It's a great day. We're finally getting married.'

A polarizing figure, Barber left his wife, Ginny, in 2010, even though she was eight months pregnant with twin girls, after beginning an affair with Johnson in 2010.
At the time, Barber was working for NBC's 'Today' show with ambitions to be a serious journalist, but lost his job soon afterwards due to indifferent responses to his reporting skills.
The affair with the former NBC intern and Maxim pinup girl did not help his cause either, as public opinion turned massively against Barber, who appeared in the XXXV Superbowl in 2000.
Taking to Twitter to confirm the news of their marraige, Barber said, 'Many thanks to the NYC Clerk's office, especially James Mitchell who married me to my love @TraciLJohnson! Excited for the next chapters.'
Johnson and Barber had planned to get married on May 12 in the Hamptons, however, his divorce to his wife of 13-years had not been finalized and the ceremony was postponed.
After the ceremony, Jonson tweeted 'We're married @barber_tiki !!!!!!' and posted a variety of pictures from their happy day, including one of both bride and groom wearing their wedding rings.
