Idris Elba Covers GQ Magazine’s October Issue…Talks About He Use To Sell Drugs!
The actor opens up to GQ Magazine about his rough time finding work and acting in New York City.
“I was DJ’ing, but I was also pushing bags of weed; I was doing my work,” Elba, 41, said. “I had to. I know that sounds corny, but this is the truth.”
The “Mandela” actor – potentially looking ahead to another promising award season for his role in the upcoming biopic – revealed that while selling marijuana and working as a doorman at Carolines comedy club, he brushed past famous comedians like Dave Chappelle and D.L. Hughley.
“All those black comedians, they knew me as a doorman,” he said.
Now, everyone knows his name.
Then, after things got better following his turn on “The Wire” and a rise to fame, Elba found out in 2010 that a child he thought to be his son was not actually his biologically.
“The celebration of having a son – from a man’s perspective, it’s massive,” he said. “It wasn’t immediately obvious – well, it was, because he didn’t look like me. … To be given that and then have it taken away so harshly was like taking a full-on punch in the face.”

Tupac Biography Movie Is Officially Headed to The Big Screen
It took 17 years to make it official, they’ve speculated for a long time that they were in the process of bringing Pac and his life to the big screen and I guess it is true. According to Deadline.com Morgan Creek Productions and Emmett Furla Films are in final negotiations to partner on the film entitled Tupac, it was announced today.
Pac’s mother Afini Shakur has signed on to executive produce the film, the movie will also be produced by James G. Robinson, David Robinson, and LT Hutton along with Randall Emmett and George Furla. The films budget is reportedly at $45 Million and the movie will center around his life and showing his life cutting short in 1996 at the age of 25. Production will begin in Atlanta.. “YAAAAY”” The producers have the rights to use Tupac’s music catalog. Now I wonder who will play Pac, we remember how horrible Anthony Mackey portrayed him in the 2009 movie of the Notorious B.I.G. I ‘m sure Pac’s fans will be at the theater front and center when this drops….
"Big Bang Theory" Cast: We Want More Money
It's one of the most popular sitcoms on television these days, so it's no surprise that the cast of CBS' "Big Bang Theory" is demanding a raise.
According to Deadline.com, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch went up from $20,000-$30,000 per episode and "$60,000 this upcoming episode, with their pay steadily increasing every year to reach close to $100,000 an episode by the end of their contracts."
Johnny Galecki, Jim Parson, and Kaley Cuoco are currently earning $325,000 per episode and are projected to earn up to $500,000 per episode….WOW!
Jay Z & Beyoncé Return As Forbes' Top Highest-Earning Celebrity Couple
In what may end up becoming a familiar occurrence, Hip-Hop power pair Jay Z and Beyoncé get the top spot on Forbes' Highest-Earning Celebrity Couple list for the second year in a row. The husband and wife duo earned a combined $95 million between June 2012 and June 2013.
The achievements of the Carter family are noteworthy, especially when you break apart their careers. Jay Z hit it big with he and Kayne West's collaborative Watch The Throne album and a world tour that netted him $1.4 million per performance. Not to be outdone, Beyoncé and her recent “Mrs. Carter Show” world tour pulled in a gross of $2 million at the gate. There's even more cash coming towards Hov's direction after selling his minority ownership in the NBA's Brooklyn Nets and reportedly gaining $1.5 million for his share of the Barclays Center.
As previously reported, Jay has to rid himself of the ownership stakes in order to keep things legal with the launch of his Roc Nation Sports agency. Beyoncé also keeps several streams of revenue jumping with her House Of Deron clothing line and a fragrance collection. The savvy parents also trademarked toddler daughter Blue Ivy's name for use on products in the future should they desire that.
Right behind them, just like last year, is New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his supermodel wife, Giselle Bundchen who earned $80 million in the same time period by Forbes' estimates. Rounding out the top three highest-earning couples list are Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who earned an estimated $50 million.
Judge Changes Baby Messiah Verdict
A Tennessee judge reversed a ruling Wednesday ordering a mother to change her 8-month-old’s name from “Messiah.”
The boy’s mother, Jaleesa Martin, and father could not agree on a last name, which is how they ended up at a child support hearing in Cocke County Chancery Court last month.
Child Support Magistrate Lu Ann Ballew ordered the baby’s name be “Martin DeShawn McCullough.” His name included both parents’ last names but left out Messiah.
“The word ‘Messiah’ is a title, and it’s a title that has only been earned by one person – and that one person is Jesus Christ,” Ballew said.
On Wednesday, Chancellor Telford E. Forgety Jr. overturned Ballew’s decision, ruling that the lower court acted unconstitutionally. He said the lower court violated the establishment clause of the U.S. Constitution, and added that the court’s purpose was to determine the last name of the child, not his first name.
Jeleesa Martin’s attorney said they appealed Ballew’s decision for two reasons: the mother and the father agreed on the first name, and the decision was unconstitutional.
“I was shocked. I never intended on naming my son Messiah because it means God and I didn’t think a judge could make me change my baby’s name because of her religious beliefs,” said Martin.
The child’s name is now Messiah DeShawn McCollough. McCollough is the father’s name.
Martin said she’s relieved.
“I’m just happy — I really don’t have nothing to say. I’m just glad it’s over with,” said Martin after the ruling.

It’s safe to say Jaden Smith isn’t a fan of school, at least in the traditional since. The son of Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith recently went on a Twitter rant about school, education and society. Jaden tweeted:

In 2008, the Smith’s founded their own school, ‘The New Leadership Academy’ in Calabasas, California and closed earlier this year. The academy’s learning environment taught learning, equality, offered organic meals, laptops for every student. And earlier this year, Will shared his parenting philosophy explaining:
I think that, specifically in African American households, the idea coming out of slavery, there’s a concept of your children being property and that was a major part that Jada and I realized with our kids. We respect our children the way we would respect any other person. Things like cleaning up their room. You would never tell a full-grown adult to clean their room, so we don’t tell our kids to clean their rooms.”
Will and Jada have been mum on the subject.

Carmen Bryan, the mother of Nas' daughter Destiny Jones, took to the Internet earlier this week to field questions about her past and current dealings with God's Son, her infamous tryst with his former rival Jay Z, her feelings about Kelis and more. In 2006 Carmen released her autobiography It's No Secret in which spilled the details about her relationship with Nas and the part she played in one of Rap's most high profile beefs. Last year, Bryan drew eye rolls when she inexplicably said she was not a fan of Nas' "Daughters" single.
The Late Gianni Versace Mansion Sells In Miami for $41.5 Million Turning into Hotel
The Miami Mansion where Versace was fatally shot and Killed has been sold at an auction for $41.5 Million dollars. The Mediterranean-styled estate on Miami Beach’s Ocean Drive, just steps from the sea, was once considered the nation’s most expensive home. The Mansion Casa Casuarina went on the market a year ago for $125 Million, but there were no takers.
The home, called Casa Casuarina, features 10 bedrooms and 11 baths, mosaic flooring and an array of frescoes and murals custom-made for Versace. Two rooftop terraces boast spectacular views of the beach. There is also an observatory (complete with bar) for an evening of star-gazing, an open-air courtyard, and a pool lined with 24 carat gold.
The master suite once occupied by Versace himself contains a king-size bed, a huge bathroom, a walk-in closet and a small terrace overlooking the sea. The mansion will be operating as a hotel…
Fantasia Vacays In Barbados With Friends & Family
In between shows and prepping for her role in the upcoming Broadway musical, After Midnight, Fantasia jetted to Barbados for some fun with family and friends.
