Ja Rule Is a Filming Reality TV Show
Ja Rule is out of prison and ready to stage his comeback, looks like he’s plotting a reality tv show.

According to reports, the rapper has partnered up with 51 Minds and Chris Abrego to develop a new reality show.
“First and foremost anything that I try to do, I try to bring my professionalism and creativity to the table and I think with myself and Cris,” Ja told Vibe. “When all of our minds get together, collectively we all get together, it’s going to be incredible.”

The series would follow Ja, born Jeffery Atkins, at home with his family and be more like Marrying The Game than Love & Hip Hop.

Ja Rule wouldn’t be the first rapper to welcome cameras into his home. That’s not discouraging him, though, because he feels like there’s plenty of room for more shows like his.
“It is a good family show. Television needs more positivity, especially young black families to look at,” Ja stated. “To see that it is not just negativity when it comes to Black couples on television, but also a lot of good families out there raising kids and doing good things out there. And also have fun out there and it doesn’t have to be corny.”

“I’ve been in this business long enough to know that everyone thinks they belong on television, that they have a big enough personality, or interesting enough lifestyle, that regular people will want to watch them,” Chris tells VIBE. “Ja is one of those rare cases where it really is the truth. You can’t help but watch this guy. That he’s a legend in the music business, one of the greats, is almost beside the point. The simple fact is, he’s a truly memorable personality with a fascinating life to match. And we’re extremely excited to have the opportunity to create some equally memorable television around him.”

Will you watch Ja Rule’s reality show?

NYPD Seizes Hundreds Of Guns After Rapper Brags On YouTube & Instagram [PHOTOS]

Social media, gun runners and a foolhardy rapper led to the biggest bust ever of illegal firearms by the NYPD. Mayor Michael Bloomberg revealed today that undercover cops seized what amounted to a huge arsenal of automatic assault weapons including machine guns, high-capacity assault rifles and handguns.
DNA Info New York reports:
A joint sting between the NYPD, Manhattan Disrict Attorney's Office and office of Special Narcotics Prosecutor netted 19 members of a gun-trafficking ring that stretched all the way down to the Carolinas, according to the mayor. Half of the weapons came from those Southern states, he said.
“There is no doubt that the seizure of these guns — the largest bust in the city's history — has saved lives," Mayor Michael Bloomberg said at a press conference at NYPD headquarters Monday morning. "For that reason, every New Yorker in every part of our city, owes a debt of thanks to all those involved in this investigation.”
Of course, Bloomberg used his time at the podium to say the bust is evidence that his stop-and-frisk policy, which was recently deemed unconstitutional by a federal judge, is still necessary.
Never mind the fact that the guns in the bust came mostly from North Carolina and South Carolina. Also, that police officer must be blind if he needs to frisk someone to find a rifle, just saying. Some of the 19 men that were arrested said stop-and-frisk did make bringing the guns into the city difficult. However, as seen by all the arm an undercover cop was able to buy, the gun runners found a way to make it happen.
Buzzfeed reports that investigators were tipped off to the ring, which sent the firearms to Brooklyn, when a rapper posted photos of guns and cash to Instagram and YouTube. The rapper was in a recording studio that was above a Bed-Stuy restaurant when he posted the images.
The struggle rapper jokes really do write themselves. Dummies!

Chris Brown ordered to do 1,000 more hours of community service in LA
In between hater-induced seizures and whining about Middle America destroying his music career, it’s hard to believe that Chris Brown hasn’t found time to actually complete his community service hours that were court-ordered after his plea deal for nearly killing his then-girlfriend. But no, Breezy didn’t feel like doing his community service, and he just lied and told the court that he did the hours because what is the judge going to do about it?  Well Chris Brown got his ass handed to him in court — the judge sentenced him to 1,000 more hours of community labor after the L.A. County D.A. accused him of fudging his records.

The D.A. believes the singer violated his probation in the Rihanna beating case by submitting bogus community service reports — in one case even swearing he was picking up trash in Virginia when he was actually on a private jet to Cancun.
The judge revoked Chris’ probation last month in the wake of hit-and-run allegations, but reinstated it today on the condition Chris completes an additional 1,000 hours of community service.

Think of it like a do-over — because of the discrepancy in Chris’ original labor hours, the singer won’t get ANY credit for service he may or may not have completed since his conviction. Chris was originally sentenced to 180 days of community labor (1,440 hours).
Unlike last time — when the judge said Chris could complete his labor in his home state of Virginia — the judge today ordered that Chris’ service must be supervised by L.A. County officials.

Chris can choose between Caltrans (aka highway cleanup), beach cleanup, probation alternative work services (PAWS), or … graffiti removal.
Chris must also report to a probation officer within the next 48 hours. He did not look happy in court.
The good news … Chris’ probation will finally end in August 2014. One more year to go

Hair Weave Killer: Karrueche Officially Deads The Ombre Trend With Extensions Gone Wrong
We totally understand being the understudy for such a hair trend setter like Rihanna can be hard.Especially when you are still trying to maintain the attention of young Brezzy.  But not all attention is good attention!!
Karrueche officially needs to fire her glam squad for setting her up like this.  Earlier this summer we spotted Karrueche rocking a totally dramatic
It wasn’t our favorite but we didn’t mind. Now, Karrueche is attempting to recycle the same hair extensions.  Besides the fact that the pieces are not blended properly,  the color transition is horrible.  We understand you just want to be different Karruche, but gurrrrrl….this Ombre = No Bueno!!!

5 Vanderbilt University Football Players Indicted For Rape Of Drunk Student
A disturbing s-x crime case is developing in Nashville, Tenn, with striking similarities to the Steubenville High School case. Over the weekend, four Vanderbilt University football players named in an alleged rape case were joined by a fifth student who reportedly tried to his help teammates cover up evidence.
In June, Vanderbilt suspended Cory Batey, 19 of Nashville, Tenn.; Brandon Banks, 19, of Brandywine, Md.; Jaborian “Tip” McKenzie, 19, of Woodville, Miss.; and  Brandon Vandenburg, 20, of Indio, Calif. over charges of aggravated sexual assault of an unconscious female friend of one of the players in a dorm room. The players were kicked off the team and banned from the campus on June 29 and later charged.
The arraignment for the men has been set for August 21, with McKenzie as the lone man to enter a not guilty plea and waived his right to appear.

Chris Boyd, 21, turned himself in to Nashville police Sunday (August 18) morning for his role in trying to help his teammates out of their bind; he was indicted on Friday (August 16).
Along with the Vanderbilt Commodores players, two additional men from California were also indicted on Friday in connection for tampering with evidence. Miles Finley, 19, of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., and Joseph Quinzio, 20, of Palm Desert, Calif., were arrested in their home state and are said to be friends with Vandenburg.
Although details have been slowly emerging since the case came to light, little has been confirmed by police officials about what actually took place. According to several reports, the players were drinking at local bar the Tin Roof. After leaving the establishment, the 21-year-old female victim joined Vandenburg and the players in his dorm room.
The case came to the attention of the university after surveillance video showed the four men previously charged behaving strangely on camera the night of the reported assault (June 23).
Former Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Erik Ainge speculated on his radio talk show that after Vandenburg had sex with the victim, he allegedly urged his teammates to do the same against her will. CBS reports that all but one of the players are out on bond; Vandenburg remains jailed on $350,000 and was hailed as a standout recruit for the team.

According to Nashville authorities, the case could net more arrests.
"We are looking at all persons who may have been involved in this event, before, during and after the fact," Nashville Police Department Chief Steve Anderson said. "Additional charges cannot be ruled out."
