Oprah Winfrey is covering the latest issue of JET Magazine, discussing Lee Daniel’s ‘The Butler’:
The Butler is a tribute to the working class Negro of that time and all of the unsung heroes whose names never made a history book. Through their perseverance, stability, drive and willingness to create a better life for their family, they became the foundation for the civil rights movement.
In her interview, she also dishes some candid advice about a person’s potential, explaining:
The biggest fallacy on earth is that you can be anything that you want to be. You can only be what you were meant to be.

Celebs made their way to the Beverly Hilton for the 13th Annual Harold And Carole Pump Foundation Gala.
In honor for the Foundation that raises millions for cancer prevention, Kevin Hart and Eniko were on hand to participate in the fundraising gala:

Kevin posed with the super tall honoree Shaquille O'Neal in a funny pic.
Actor Jamie Foxx was honored for the night.
Bobby Brown and his tanned wife Alicia were there for the gala.
Gabrielle Douglas rocked a one shoulder blue floor length gown.
Holly Robinson Peete showed off her tight and toned bod in an orange cut-out and high slit dress while posing it up with her hubby Rodney Peete. These two are always doing good philanthropy work.

And so was the new "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" host Cedric The Entertainer.
According to the website, the mission of the Harold & Carole Pump Foundation is to raise funds and create awareness for the treatment and cure of cancer. By engaging the community, sports leaders, and those touched by this disease, financial support is given to the development of cancer treatments, programs and services as well as the procurement of advanced medical technology.

SPOTTED: Amber Rose Picks Up Lunch In West Hollywood
Amber Rose was spotted rockin’ her workout gear, while out and about with her friend Sammie K, in Los Angeles. The duo was snapped as they headed to grab lunch at King’s Road Café in West Hollywood.
Amber and Wiz Khalifa made things official, tying the knot early last month; with plans set to walk down the aisle in a fall wedding ceremony.
With her big day well on its way, Amber received some assistance from Sammie K. and her makeup artist Priscilla Ono; who boxed up her wedding dress to be sent to Pittsburgh. There was plenty of bubble wrap on-hand as they prepped the huge cardboard box for the shipment.
Adele Signs On For “Secret Service” Flick!
Up to this point, her exposure to the world of movies topped out at winning an Academy Award for her “Skyfall” theme, but Adele is about to change all of that.
The “Rolling in the Deep” singer has joined the cast of “The Secret Service,” a forthcoming comic book adaptation flick.
An insider told press, “Adele is exactly what (director Matthew Vaughn) is looking for. He wants the highest-profile names in various fields to boost the film’s cause and turn it into a mega-money franchise.”
Due out November 14, 2014, “The Secret Service” will also star Samuel L Jackson, Michael Caine, and Colin Firth, and rumor has it that David Beckham and Elton John may also end up on the roster.
President Obama Pushes For Lighter Sentences for Drug Offenders
With prisons overcrowded and communities broken, President Barack Obama’s administration says it’s time to quit ruining lives with minimum mandatory sentences for nonviolent drug offenders.
Attorney General Eric Holder plans to announce efforts today to change the way federal drug cases are handled. In a speech in San Francisco around 1 p.m. Eastern time, Holder will outline steps including”compassionate release” from federal prisons of elderly inmates “who did not commit violent crimes and have served significant portions of their sentences,” according to excerpts released to the news media.
Well we all know that “too many Americans go to too many prisons for far too long and for no truly good law enforcement reason,” Holder said. “We cannot simply prosecute or incarcerate our way to becoming a safer nation,” he added later in the speech.
Justin Bieber’s Jump Off Comes Forward to Claim she was the reason for him and Selena Breaking up and Joins Bad Girls Club Miami!
Why is it that Jump off’s are really trying to make a name for themselves by being known as the one who broke their relationship up… This is not cute and she is the one who is going to be on the upcoming season of Bad Girls Club Miami. She talked about how she met Bieber through his ratchet friend Lil Twist and the fact that she gave him some when he took her to Mc Donald’s after clubbing is just tragic…
The pair met in December and she says ‘I was absolutely shocked when I read he had split up with Selena over what we did. I hate being the girl that broke them up,’ Milyn said. After their fast-food run, Bieber allegedly drove them to a marijuana store and then back to his $4.5 million home for a quick tour. The two later hooked up at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons hotel, according to the report. She goes on to say “ ’Suddenly we were kissing and I started to take off my clothes, it was a natural thing.’ Just sad. Hopefully they are truly broken up for good.
C Murder Briefly Released From Prison to Attend His Grandmother’s Funeral w/Brother Master P and Lil Romeo
Free at last free at last but only for a minute. Seems C Murder experienced a breath of fresh air this weekend outside of the prison walls. C Murder is currently serving a life sentence for murder at the Angola State Penitentiary. He was released briefly to attend his grandmother’s funeral. This must have been rough on him as he had on the orange jumpsuit and shackles on his feet and everything Wow! He was charged with second degree murder in 2009 after allegedly shooting and killing a teenage fan at a Harvey, Louisiana nightclub, although he maintains his innocence to this day.
Murder is both Silkk The Shocker and Master P‘s brother and an uncle to the latter’s son, Romeo. Both were at the funeral, and he posed for a picture with his nephew, shackled at the waist and wearing an orange prison jumpsuit
Gloria Govan & Matt Barnes Get Married Last Weekend
Well Congratulations goes out to Matt Barnes & Gloria Govan! They couple got married over the weekend and it looked beautiful.
I’m sure you remember back in 2010, Matt and Gloria shocked the world, when they sent a message to their bridesmaids, groomsmen and wedding attendees saying that their wedding was cancelled with no explanation.
Here are the details: The wedding was indeed filmed, but not for "BBW: LA." We've been told that the reality show starts shooting again this week, but Gloria and Bambi will NOT be involved. No word yet on where this wedding will be shown, but we're sure it's getting shopped around for a spinoff.
Matt had a few of his Clippers teammates--Blake Griffin & DeAndre Jordan--there for support. And his good friend and sis-in-law Laura's long time fiance Gilbert Arenas was also there. And serenading them at the wedding--Power 106 radio host Big Boy.
