America’s Next Top Model Alum Renee Alway Arrested For Burglary
Renee Alway, who placed third on cycle eight of America’s Next Top Model (the same cycle as troubled alum Jael), is due in court on Thursday where she will be pleading not guilty to charges such as burglary and fraud.
On June 28, police officers responded to a call reporting a suspicious female wandering around the block. When they arrived on the scene, they found Alway hiding in a vacant home, the homeowners were out of the country. According to a statement provided by the Palm Springs Police Department, Alway was inside the garage of the empty home armed with a gun.They quickly brought Alway into custody and called the SWAT team, believing an armed man was somewhere inside the house. After a six hour standoff no one was found and Alway was arrested and booked on two counts of burglary and one of fraud. She is being held on a $150,000 bail.
It seems her passion for posing for photos has faded as she is staring at the floor and refusing to make eye contact in her recently released mug shot, above. The photo shows Alway bruised up and looking like a ghost of her former model self, below.
This is not the former TV show contestant’s first run in with the law. This year alone, she has been arrested four other times. Her charges in April include grand theft with a firearm, grand theft over $400, and receiving stolen property. In June, she was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, petty theft and fraud. She had been out on bail following this arrest when she was found inside the home.
