FIRED Reality Star Shereé Whitfield Goes to Hollywood, Lands Gig On ‘Necessary Roughness’
Move over NeNe Leakes, you’re not the only Atlanta reality star with acting chops! As of late, ex cast member of Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Sheree Whitfield has been getting some not-so-nice press surrounding her. Earlier this year, she appeared opposite of Iyanla Vanzant’s show on OWN, ‘Iyanla: Fix My Life‘, attempting to have a better co-parenting relationship with her ex husband, Bob. But things didn’t turn out so well. According to Shereé  the network and Iyanla’s producers totally misled her as to what the episode would be about. The reality star explained in a statement:

I thought it was an opportunity to inspire single parents in our situation. However, once shooting began I felt misled because the line of questioning was centered more on accusations of my shortcomings as a wife versus how we can begin to resolve our issues…Although I was caught off guard by what felt like a very one-sided and judgmental approach to therapy, what I did take away from this experience is that I must continue to take responsibility for doing the work to be a better person. I am completely committed to making sure that I am a positive and healthy mother for my children and being a role model for the young women that I mentor.
But that was soooo yesterday. This week, we caught word that she’s landed a gig on USA’s show ‘Necessary Roughness’. So what’s Shereé’s role? USA Network is launching “TK Gets Real,” an interactive webisode premiering after Wednesday night’s (June 19) “Necessary Roughness” episode, titled “Gimme Some Lovin’.” The character TK (played by Mehcad Brooks) has a new quest to become a reality star, where he enlists the help of Shereé . For the next six weeks, Sheree will give him guidance on becoming a reality star based on her experience on Bravo. No word yet on if Sheree will premiere on the TV show or only the webisodes, but this certainly is a good look for the budding actress. ”Necessary Roughness” airs Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT on USA.
