Gospel Rapper puts Paula White, T.D Jakes  Others on BLAST over 'Prosperity Preaching'
Paula White, senior pastor at New Destiny Christian Center in Florida, speaks on October 7, 2012.
Brad Knight, manager and son of popular televangelist Paula White, shot back in defense of his mother on Wednesday at controversial rapper Shai Linne who called out White and several other popular televangelists as frauds in his new song "Fal$e Teacher$."
In an open letter to Linne published by Wade-O Radio, Knight noted that the accusations against his mother hurt him and the claim was unjustified.

"One would think that hearing these accusations all my life would make me numb to their stings… but that is not the case. After all, it is my mother. This is the woman who birthed me, nurtured me, raised me to love Jesus, prayed for me when I didn't, and patiently led me when I finally embraced the truth of His loving sacrifice," wrote Knight.
So when I hear a fellow Christian leader, whom has never had a conversation with me or my mother, call her a 'Fal$e Teacher' I wonder what 'Fal$e Teaching$' I myself have been inculcated with since I, more than anyone else on the face of the earth, have been most exposed to her teachings," he added.
He goes on in the letter to dismiss the song as "pure cannibalization without Biblical precedence," and argued that instead of writing a song publicly criticizing his mother, Linne should have tried reaching out to the televangelist.

"The Bible instructs us Christians how to handle faults in Matthew 18:15-17. Telling us to go to one another with our grievances. Instead, you have chosen to air your grievances to an audience that will already agree with you. Are you really doing right and protecting the sheep?" he asked. "Or are you creating more embitterment, more division and misunderstanding based on faulty premises and biases that you display openly?"

Public reaction to Knight's letter have been mixed with some seeing it as an empty attempt at damage control while others saw it as a good response that might lead to improved dialogue on the "prosperity gospel."

"I love his response...there's always two sides to every story. The best thing we can do is pray for God to expose the 'wolves' and for those falsely accused to keep spreading the word of God. Amen," wrote one reader of the letter, Lizz Miribaby.
"All he did was defend his own faith. He may be a true convert but that won't save his mother. I have heard her teachings and it's all about money and self-help or self-improvement," wrote another reader who posted as Franky. "It's the same thing with Creflo [Dollar] and the others that Shai named. I've never heard them openly proclaim the full gospel with a call to repentance. It's always about a miracle and how if you sow a seed then The Lord will give you that miracle," he added.

Along with Paula White, Linne lists several other televangelists as "Fal$e Teacher$." They include: Joel Osteen, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, T.D. Jakes, Joyce Meyer, Fred Price, Kenneth Copeland, Robert Tilton, Eddie Long, Juanita Bynum and Paul Crouch.

What say Ye Saints of God?
