This Denver Nugget has 2 Moms and Supports EQUALITY!
Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried appears in a video with his two mothers, who entered into a civil union in New Jersey in 2007, advocating the passage of a civil-unions law in Colorado.
"Nobody can ever tell me I can't have two mothers because I really do," Faried says in the YouTube clip, which was posted Friday.
Faried's two mothers, Carol and Waudda, have been together for 11 years. Waudda has lupus. In the video, they say civil-union protections have helped Carol care for her partner.
The video by One-Colorado.org is advocating for the passage of Colorado Senate Bill 11, which would allow gay couples to enter civil unions.

The bill has passed a Senate committee and is heading to appropriations.
Faried and his mothers were videotaped at One Colorado's Session Party, an event that kicked off the legislative session and celebrated the historic number of openly lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender legislators in office this year.
"I really do support civil unions because it gives people, gays and lesbians, the right to make decisions on their own," Faried says.
If passed, Colorado's civil-unions bill will provide committed gay and lesbian couples with legal protections and responsibilities, such as the ability to take family leave to care for a partner, to make medical and end-of-life decisions for a partner, to live together in a nursing home and to adopt children together.
