Gospel Artist Dontavies Boatwright Dies
The Gospel world is deeply saddened by the loss of Dontavies Boatwright who passed away last week in his home in Jacksonville, Florida — he was 34. At this time the official cause of death has not been released, however authorities are saying that it appears as if Dontavies suffered a massive heart attack. Dontavies was one of the most memorable finalists of season two of the hit BET television show, Sunday Best and signed to Parriscope Entertainment. He was also a radio announcer in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. Funeral arrangements have been set —today Friday, November 16th, a public viewing will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at J.E. Fralin & Sons Funeral Service in Jacksonville.
A memorial concert, will follow the public viewing at Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church — inside there A.B. Coleman Auditorium at 7 p.m.
The homegoing service will be the following day, Saturday, November 17th at Bethel Baptist Institutional Church at 11 a.m.

ReplyDeleteHe represented WELL for the BARITONE/BASS community of singers...we are always OVERLOOKED for the tenors!! lol So YOUNG, incredibly handsome, and WOW.... such a sad loss, BUT as I know the DIVINE to be ALL KNOWLEDGABLE, HIS TRANSITION is for a SUPERIOR PURPOSE and will touch those who must align with it!! Sending up PRAISE REPORTS of HEALING, LOVE, STRENGTH and COMFORT as his family moves on through this time and celebrate his life and accept his death in the physical.....HE IS NOW A PART OF THE ANCESTRY who will be GUIDING his loved ones on THEIR JOURNEY HOME..... A'che` and so it is!!
