With host Ryan Seacrest sandwiched between them, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey put their differences aside as they posed for a new "American Idol" ad with Randy Jackson and Keith Urban. The hit musical competition show returns to the airwaves with Season 12 on January 16 on FOX.
Meanwhile, Nicki is releasing her Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - THE REUP disc on Nov 19th and tweeted fans, "ok here goes the big news: BARBZ, did i tell you guys that the #REUP comes with a 90 minute #DVD of #EXCLUSIVE behind the scenes footage?!!?"
And Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon recently created a their own Wonka Candy Room in their Los Angeles Cannon Land
He told Us Weekly, “I always dreamed of having a candy room. Sugar is my first love!” And he isn't the only one. He talked about Monroe and Moroccan saying, “They go crazy for lollipops!”
He also told the mag his favorites are Nerds and Mimi loves SweeTarts.

According to insiders the deal is almost done on the 7 bedroom, 9 1/2 bath, 25k sq monster mansion in Englewood ,N.J.
The estate, called Bubble Hill, languished on the market for seven years with a $30 million price tag, but Alicia got it for a bargain basement $12 million.
The estate features a bowling alley, indoor pool and private recording studio.
T.J. Holmes Receives The Hennessy ‘Privilege Award’
T.J. Holmes, longtime CNN Anchor and host of BET nightly news / talk show, “Don’t Sleep” received the Hennessy Privilege Award in NYC. The award ceremony took place at the trendy Catch Rooftop in front of 150 of NYC’s media elite, Hennessy USA

Jill Scott Added To Cast Of Romantic Comedy Baggage Claim
Jill Scott will join the likes of LaLa Anthony, Lauren London, and more in the forthcoming film, Baggage Claim. The three-time Grammy winner has just been announced as the latest person to sign on to the Fox Searchlight film.
Scott has been cast in the roll of Gail Best, the co-worker and best friend of character Montana Moore, played by Paul Patton. Moore Moore
With a very successful singing career, the lauded Philly native has also been making waves in the acting world. She recently appeared in the Lifetime film Steel Magnolias produced by, and starring, Queen Latifah. Her acting resume also includes filming an episode of the series Fringe, starring in the successful Tyler Perry flick Why Did I Get Married?, and the Lifetime film Sins of the Mother, a role which earned her an NAACP Image Award in the Outstanding Actress in a Television Film Mini Series Or Dramatic Special category.
Directed by David E. Talbert, Baggage Claim also features Sparkle actor, Derek Luke, and is slated for theatrical release in 2013. Scott will begin filming the role sometime this fall.
Evelyn Lozada Hints That ‘Chad & Ev’ Reality Show May Air
The buzz surrounding Basketball Wives reality star Evelyn Lozada and her ex-husband, former NFL’er Chad Ochocinco Johnson has died down a bit, after the two divorced. But as you’ll recall, before their domestic violence incident and all was well between their very public relationship, folks were buzzing about their VH1 reality spin-off, ‘Ev & Chad’.
The show had been green-lit and promo photos had been released, but after their break-up, reportedly, Evelyn and the network pulled the plug on the show. Fast forward to the present day and according to a tweet, there may be some hope that fans will see the show in some form or fashion. One of Evelyn’s twitter follower asked about the show–peep her response.
So my question to you is, should Evelyn and Ocho give VH1 approval to air the show? And if they did, would you be interested in watching their show, although their relationship didn’t work out?

Study Reveals That Whites Write 93% Of Front Page Election Stories
There is a sharp racial imbalance among election stories that make it to the front page of newspapers. A new study revealed that nearly all of said stories are written by whites.
The 4th Estate concluded from information tallied between Jan. 1 and Oct. 12 that despite the cultural breakdown of staff members at newspapers all over the country, whites appeared to have the final say. "We found no minority reporters for the San Francisco Chronicle writing front page election stories," said Jonas Eno-Van Fleet, of 4th Estate. According to figures from the American Society of News Editors, minorities make up for more than 20 percent of the Chronicle's staff.
At other papers, like the Miami Herald, more than a quarter of the staff are minorities, yet no front page election stories were written by Hispanic writers.
On the contrary, over at the Dallas Morning News, one-fifth of front page political stories were written by minorities, the highest percentage found during the study. Additionally, immigration stories are "least likely" to be written by minorities, David Graham of Washington D.C.
On a national level, only 12.3 percent of staff at daily newspapers are minorities, according to ASNE.
Of course, assuming that journalists at papers across the country abide by a code of ethics, the findings don't flat out conclude that front page political news is biased. However, one can't help but argue the notion when a paper like the New York Post—which has a reputation for being racist—is used as an example.

Cedric the Entertainer Asking for Help to Save ‘The Soul Man’
*Cedric the Entertainer’s job is on the line after suffering a loss in ratings following a battle between the TV Land networks’ parent company Viacom and satellite network DirecTV.
The comedian and lead of “The Soul Man,” debuted with the second highest ratings in the network’s history, but since then the show’s been losing momentum, and may not come back for a second season.
So Ced, according to AlwaysAlist.com, is petitioning fans to write letters and attempt to convince the network that the show should stay. Providing a “template” letter and the name of the executive it should be emailed to, he writes on Facebook:
“Ladies and Gentlemen,
I need your help… if you liked my show on TV Land, The Soul Man, then please take part in my letter writing campaign to bring it back for a second season. Just use the following letter and email it on… we want to make the biggest impact so if you have a moment please email. Thank you, I’ll Holla Cedric”

Jennifer Hudson stepped out in style for the opening of the Versace boutique in SoHo . The Oscar-winner wore a black flared leather skirt with cross details from Versace's Fall 2012 collection which she paired with knee-high Versace boots, also from the Fall 2012 collection.
She topped off the outfit with an orange coat that left quite an impression.
Melanie Fiona (also wearing Versace) was seen arriving to the SoHo opening which was hosted by Donatella Versace.
Dapper R&B crooner Maxwell was also a guest at the opening.
Kanye West was also seen arriving at the party.
And after the Versace party...Jennifer and her coat headed over to the Samsung Galaxy Note II launch at Skylight at Moynihan Station.
After taking off her coat, Jennifer chilled at the party in her black sheer top (which was embellished with Swarovski crystals).
Basketball legend Clyde Frazier attended.
Rapper/actor Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover came out for the launch as well.

Kid Cudi seemed very laid back at the launch.

Lisa from ‘Saved By the Bell’ Bipolar Accusation call mother s LIAR!
We all remember the television show when we were growing up ‘Saved By the Bell,’ well the beloved Lisa Turtle real name, Lark Voorhies, is claiming her mother is full of it. She is claiming she is NOT bipolar, no matter what her mother is saying.
According to video by TMZ, Lark’s mother recently told People magazine that her daughter has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Lark told TMZ that her mother’s report is ‘comical.’
The video below is a bit ‘weird.’ Lark can’t really even complete a thought, takes long pauses and is there such thing as speaking run on sentences?!

OOOH Did Usher LIE I Court to get Custody?
Tameka and Usher Raymond were back in court yesterday for a hearing on the motion filed for a new trial in their bitter child custody battle.
During the hearing Tameka's lawyers revealed Usher lied in court about his new gig on The Voice...
According to Michelle Brown (Straight From The A), who was in court for the hearing, Tameka's lawyer pointed out that Usher lied when he told the court he was in negotiations with an unnamed show that filmed in Atlanta , New York
Shortly after the ruling awarding Usher custody of their two sons, it was announced that Usher would be joining The Voice, which tapes ONLY in LA. Shady.
A ruling is expected on the motion this week.

Well a video is going around the net, showing Lil Reese, a rapper here in Chicago who is arguing with a female at a house party. Reese starts punching and kicking her repeatedly even after the girl is on the ground, and her friend screaming stop it.

Beyonce & Jay-Z HAVE NOT Lost "Blue Ivy" Trademark, Application Put On Hold
Contrary to media reports, Jay-Z and Beyonce have not lost the "Blue Ivy" trademark....their application is on hold. There's still a good chance that fans will someday have the option to choose from a slew of items bearing the "Blue Ivy" name (from skin care products and strollers to baby bedding) as Beyonce and Jay-Z's trademark application is still in the works.
Although Jay and Bey's application has been place on hold by U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (while the office awaits one merchant's appeal), the office granted "Blue Ivy" trademark rights to a Boston wedding planner last week.
But don't worry...should Jay and Bey's application be approved at a later date, they won't conflict with the wedding company and their products aren't in the same field.
