Gabrielle Union Covers Ebony Magazine
Actress Gabrielle Union covers the October issue of Ebony magazine.  Gabby has a six-page spread, where she touches on everything from how she grown so much and failed relationships. In this issue, she also writes some words of encouragement to her younger self. Below are some quotes from this issue:

To her younger self
Your deep Mahogany skin may not resemble that of the others in your family, but it’s just as gorgeous and you’re just as worthy….One day you’ll appreciate how much your brown skin shines in the moonlight, glistens in the sun and ages ever so slowly.

On her self-worth and true love
Don’t let that pesky low self-esteem creep in and fool you into believing that you don’t have value…don’t allow it to crush your will or dampen your spirit…Never worry about LOVE….real love will find you….an incredible love with an incredible man….there is a beautiful rainbow at the end of your storm.

Don’t let other people’s needs, wants, desires, fantasies, hopes or dreams dictate your choices and decisions. Follow your own path, and don’t worry that you’re being selfish or disloyal. To read more pick up Ebony Oct issue.

Busta Rhymes Says Tupac Dissing A Tribe Called Quest Was A Misunderstanding
Back in the day at the 1994 Source Awards, Tupac allegedly dissed A Tribe Called Quest, and the beef was on. The urban legend is that ATCQ, who are members of the Zulu Nation, were ready to step to the late rapper after he infamously cut off their acceptance speech for the Artist Of The Year Award. However, according to Busta Rhymes, the entire incident—Pac bumrushed the stage to perform "Out On Bail"—was a big misunderstanding.
Speaking to Young Jack Thriller of ThisIs50.com, the Dungeon Dragon, who has "experienced some profound sh-t in Hip-Hop," detailed how things almost got out of order.
Note: that time Suge Knight threw blatant shots at Sean "Diddy" Combs and Bad Boy was the 1995 Source Awards.
"Tribe had got the award for Best Hip-Hop Group of the Year. I don't know if Pac's people at the time knew that Tribe was still getting their award and doing their acceptance speech, but he pressed play while they was doing their acceptance speech," said Busta. "So it looked like Pac just went out there and started performing on some, 'F-ck the awards sh-t, 'I'm just gonna do my sh-t on top of them ni--as, whatever!' So it looked crazy from the front because it was like, these ni--as is in the middle of their acceptance speech and then yo sh-t just come on and you just com eout there and bogart their sh-t, and it just looked like a crazy disrespect to Tribe. So the beef started immediately."
Ego Trip's: Big Book of Rap Lists pointed out a suspect soundman as the real cause of Pac's too early performance start. According to Busta, he held private convos with Tupac and acted as a mediator to get the separate camps to squash any sort of tension.

WATCH:

"I don't know if too many people knew about this at the time when it went down or even after, that it was a big misunderstanding," says Busta, who was closely affiliated with Tribe. "Me and Pac had a conversation about that, and Pac made it clear to me that he didn't mean to do that, that wasn't his fault and he don't understand why or how it happened that way. But you know how it go, you're music start rolling, you going to do what you supposed to do. Pac was actually trying to see how we could coordinate getting a public truce going on BET; Rap City was still on the air. I was actually trying to coordinate that and I was communicating to Tip via Pac and Pac via Tip, and the vibe was amazing. Everybody was like, 'Yo, no doubt, no problem, let's the world see it' and it never happened.

Usher is NOT Having it from Tameka!..He responds to her Retrial request!
Tameka Raymond filed a motion to request a new trial in her child custody case after losing primary custody of her two sons with Usher [click here if you missed that].
Usher thinks Tameka should just get over it...
From TMZ
The singer filed his own response on Wednesday asking the court to deny Tameka's request, claiming her motion is "an assault on the integrity of the court."
Usher believes Tameka is delusional, claiming if she were granted a new trial, it would be grounds for a reversal of ALL trials where a lawyer had contributed to a judge’s campaign.
Usher claims the motion "constitutes a continuum of [Tameka's] vile and unsupported claims that every person who dared testify against her ... is biased and tainted."

"[Karrueche] and Rihanna really hate one another and Chris ultimately just does what he wants," the source continues. Seeing him with Rihanna at such a public event made her very angry..

Vanessa Bryant Dishes On What It’s Like To Be A ‘Real’ Basketball Wife
There might be shows that try and tell you what a real basketball wife is, but Vanessa Bryant knows firsthand since she’s been married to one of NBA’s most celebrated players since she was 18 years old.

Even though she’s not with Kobe, shooting in the gym, she’s been holding down the homefront for over 11 years while making sure the couple’s two daughters are well taken care of, and Kobe can focus on what he does best; play basketball.  Vanessa recently sat down with Giuliana Rancic’s lifestyle site, FabFitFun.com, and gave a little insight into what her day-to-day life is like, as well as revealed if she’d ever do a reality show and why her mom is her biggest role model.
Check out some highlights below:

On Day-to-Day Living With A Husband Who Is Gone 75% of the Time
I’m up at 6:30 a.m. every day with my girls and they have their own extracurricular activities so I’m at their games or practices until about 6 p.m. some nights. Then I take them home, get them ready for bed, take a shower and get dressed to drive an hour to LA to be at Kobe’s games as often as I can. I certainly don’t miss any games or events he specifically asks me or needs me to be at. So when you see a photo of me and I look “busted,” you know it’s been a long day!

How Motherhood Changed Her Life
Motherhood is the most rewarding and amazing thing that I think a woman can experience. I love my children more than anything and my goal is to be the solid rock and constant security for them. Motherhood has most definitely taught me to be selfless, patient, understanding, and to always think of my children and their very best interests before thinking of my own. I stay balanced by trying to schedule an hour of “me time.” Even if it is an hour of paying my personal trainer to kick my butt.

On Hanging Out With Her Family
My girls, Kobe and I are extremely competitive and we have “teams.” Usually, Natalia and I are on the “Fabulous” team and Kobe and Gianna are on the “Mamba” team. We love playing Scattergories, Catch Phrase, the card game Speed, jumping on the trampoline, cooking out on the grill, and watching our girls play in the swimming pool. Kobe and I stay on the same team when we play against friends and family. Otherwise, we have to play two out of three games to determine who the “real” winner is.

On If She’d Every Do Reality Television
Absolutely 100% no. Kobe and I were approached to do a reality show after Nick and Jessica started Newlyweds, then they wanted my friend La-La and I to do one, years ago. I really enjoy my privacy and I love being my goofy and sarcastic self with family and friends. I certainly don’t want to enable people to think they have a significant opinion on what goes on in my life.

On Her Mother Being Her Role Model
I have several role models. But I admire my mom for being an independent single mother and sole provider for my sister and me. My mom raised my sister and me as a single parent until she remarried. Thankfully, we never went without anything we needed, but I certainly am grateful that my mom worked two jobs, owned our home and didn’t ask for anyone’s help to support us. It certainly wasn’t easy though. I most definitely have compassion for people who have been dealt unfortunate circumstances.

I admire her for teaching me to be compassionate and giving, and teaching me to be a person of substance and character and not feed into what people think or falsely accuse me of being. I think that’s why people always gravitate to her for guidance. I’m sure those are some of the reasons my husband has a great and close relationship with my mom even though she’s not his own mother.

Vanessa has been constantly called a gold digger over the years but she seems like a really grounded woman who dodges the spotlight and puts her family first.

You can catch the rest of Vanessa’s interview over at FabFitFun.com! http://fabfitfun.com/vanessa-bryant-interview
