Zoe Saldana Covers GOTHAM Magazine's September 2012 ISSUE
Zoe Saldana rocks a satin jumpsuit with chiffon details from Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci for the cover of GOTHAM Magazine's September issue.  With a photoshoot shot by Andrew Eccles, she sits for a Q & A session with "Star Trek" co-star Zachary Quinto.

Here are the highlights:
On her first memory of fashion:
"My grandmother and great grandmother were seamstresses their whole lives, so when my grandmother moved to New York in the '60s, she worked for design houses throughout the city. She really loved fabrics and textiles, so it was natural to my family. Fashion wasn't like a religion to us, but it is in my ancestry. It was never about luxury; it was about art."
On the favorite piece of clothing she owns:
"There's this Azzedine Alaia dress I have that makes me feel like I am collecting art. Collecting from certain designers is like collecting art and will always remain as memorable as the very first Chanel bag that I bought myself."
On her contemporaries with a kindred sense of style:
"Sienna Miller, Julianne Moore, these kind of effortless beauties. Diane Kruger. I just love looking at their styles and feeling inspired by their choices."
On what she's looking forward to in the next year:
"Honestly, to continue growing in every aspect of my life because it's been a long time since I've been this happy. I really want that to motivate me moving forward on every level."

Looking good Zoe...But I'm still not using you as Nina Simone!

Christina Aguilera's Shrinking Figure in New "Voice" Promo
Gearing up for the third season of "The Voice," NBC has released brand new promo shots that feature each of the show's four famed coaches.
And interestingly enough Christina Aguilera’s appears noticably thinner in the hip and thigh region in her new photo, perhaps pointing to some off-season diet and workout programs.
Although the 31-year-old singer shows off her a thin and fit figure, it could also be due to the magic of Photoshop. Xtina was recently spotted at the press call for “The Voice” with Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine still sporting her famous curves, which she has publicly accepted.
In an interview with Marie Claire, the blonde bombshell said, “I've been criticized for being on both sides of the scale. It's noise I block out automatically. I love my body. My boyfriend [Matt Rutler] loves my body. My son [4-year-old Max] is healthy and happy, so that's all that matters to me.”
In related “Voice” news, “Sesame Street” characters recently spoofed the singing competition on the upcoming season. Christina shared the clip via Twitter writing, "Now I know I've made it- love this!!! Love Sesame Street!"
Each coach is depicted with its own muppet and in the intro, muppet Carson Daley says, “Finally, a singing competition that’s entirely about your voice, no distractions and no cheap gimmicks

Azealia Banks vs Funk Master Flex
Up and coming rapper Azealia Banks gets into beef with everybody. It's hard to keep up with, to be quiet honest, but apparently Azealia's latest beef was with Harlem rapper Jim Jones and after Hot 97 DJ Funk Master Flex trashed Azealia on air for beefing all the time, Yung Rapunxel added Flex to her list...

WERK AZEALIA!

Has Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s Wife, Had Plastic Surgery?
Vanessa at 2012 Olympic Games
Rumor has it, that Kobe Bryant’s wife of ten years, Vanessa, has had some ‘slight work’ done to her face. While it’s obvious that she’s changed her hair color (hell, who hasn’t?), people are speculating that the mother of two, has had botox, lip injections, a brow lift and slight nose conturing. Vanessa adimitantly denies being nipped and tucked. Her representative recently told an outlet:
’100 per cent not true’ and ‘ridiculous’.
Take a look at the photos and chime in on whether you think she’s had slight work, disagree that her face has changed or could give two s&*%s.

Thoughts?

Joe Jackson Drops Lawsuit Against Dr. Conrad Murray
Michael Jackson’s dad is putting the brakes on his legal pursuit of Dr. Conrad Murray. Joe Jackson has dropped his wrongful death lawsuit against the man convicted in the pop star’s 2009 death. Jackson’s attorney filed a request to dismiss the case Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, though it wasn’t immediately clear why the move was made to drop it. Joe Jackson had filed suit against AEG Live — the promoters behind the concert series Michael was working on at the time of his death. He claims the company was negligent in hiring Dr. Murray to care for his son. The lawsuit also named Applied Pharmacy Services, the company Joe says sold Murray the drugs that contributed to his son’s death.

A judge removed AEG Live from the lawsuit six months ago, leaving Murray and Applied Pharmacy Services in Joe’s legal crosshairs until he dropped the case Wednesday. A separate negligence lawsuit filed by Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson, is still pending against AEG Live. That case is expected to go to trial next April. Murray, meantime, is serving out a four-year prison sentence for Michael’s death. He was convicted last November on a charge of involuntary manslaughter.

Chris Keating Calls R. Kelly A Piece Of S**t And Praises Frank Ocean – “Let’s Gay It Up A Little In R&B”
‘Yeasayer’ front man Chris Keating put in his two cents about the current state of R&B in a recent interview with Rollingstone Magazine.
After giving controversial R&B crooner R.Kelly a couple of backhanded compliments, he then went on to give props to Frank Ocean….well, kind of.
“I think he [Ocean] is a good new face for the R&B world right now, to kind of usher out – no pun intended – some of these folks,” Keating said.

“Because, let’s get real, R.Kelly is a terrible person. I like R.Kelly and how crazy he is, but he’s a terrible piece of sh*t, a horrible person, really bad all around. Let’s get rid of him. Let’s gay it up a little [in R&B].”
Those are pretty strong words from sir Keating.  Do you think Frank will appreciate the shout out?

Meet New ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Cast Member – Porsha Williams Stewart
I know its been a while since we had any new info for you about the Real Housewives of Atlanta but get this. There is a new addition to the cast of the Show as reported by Straightfromthea.
The producers interviewed a few young ladies like,Nicole Porche,  but producers decided that her being an actress wasn’t a good look, Keisha Knight Pulliam, but she denied it but taped a few scenes. Several Atlanta “wives” were approached but none seemed to have that “it” factor the producers were seeking.

That is… until producers met Porsha Williams Stewart.
Porsha’ Dyanne Williams-Stewart, the granddaughter of Civil Rights Leader Hosea Williams, has officially joined the cast of the popular reality show and has been taping for over a month now.
For the record, the newest housewife just so happens to be married, which is a rare trait for a new Atlanta housewife, and her husband is Kordell Stewart, a Louisiana native who performed in the NFL for 11 seasons.
Stewart, a former Pittsburgh Steeler QB, and Williams were married last year in an exclusive fairytale wedding. She is the first Granddaughter of the late Civil Rights Leader and founder of “Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry,” the Rev. Hosea Williams.
Church has always played a major role in Williams’ southern upbringing and being the daughter of Atlanta’s own Hosea Williams II, Porsha knows a thing or two about giving back and helping the community. Williams’ childhood background is what has shaped her into the women she is today. She thrives in women’s ministries and her successful Child Development Centers that Williams has opened throughout Atlanta.
Porsha even attended Cynthia Bailey’s launch party for her new P.T. Rose Moscato a few weeks ago. Casting is finally closed for season 5 and the opening segments were finally shot last week… so the season 5 RHOA cast officially includes Phaedra Parks, Kandi Burruss, Nene Leakes, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, and the most recent addition – Porsha Williams-Stewart.
We are not sure about how much airtime Marlo Hampton will get. Maybe NONE!

The Nightclub Wants Drake & Chris Brown To Pay 16 Million For Their Brawl In The Club
Fightin’ in the club? Pay up.
Nightclub Suing Chris Brown And Drake for $16 Million Over Fight
Daaayum. Sounds like maybe they should have jumped in the ring for $10 million after all…
According to a newly filed lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court, Drake and Chris Brown were the ones who started the infamous brawl at the W.i.P. night club back in June. As if blaming them wasn’t enough, the company behind the suit–Entertainment Enterprises Ltd.–is seeking $16 million in damages.
The document states that the two artists had bad blood because of their past relationships with the same woman (Rihanna) and that they fought violently when they crossed paths. Also, it details that they were allowed entry with crews made up of at least 15 heavily built men trained and/or experienced in hand-to-hand and weapons combat.” And once the bottles starting flying, those men were told to join in on the fight, according to the suit.
The $16 million in damages is for Brown and Drake’s alleged “gross negligence,” “ultrahazardous activity” and “intentional illegal acts.”
See how much it costs to act a fool?

Keke of ‘R&B Divas’: ‘It Was Weird Having My Baby on Camera’
Executive producer Adam Reed, Syleena Johnson, Monifah Carter, Keke Wyatt, Nicci Gilbert, and Faith Evans speak at the “R&B Divas” discussion panel during the TVOne portion of the 2012 Summer Television Critics Association tour at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on August 1, 2012 in Los Angeles
*Although part of being a recording artist is having to shoot music videos and film interviews, two of the five stars from TV One’s “R&B Divas” say that having cameras roll on their personal lives is still something they’re getting used to.
“Because I know that no matter how you slice it, when I see it on TV, I’m not going to like the way I look,” cast member Nicci Gilbert told us at the recent TCA press tour. “My teeth are going to be big. My head is going to be big. My ass is going to be bad. So, you know, I personally have been in front of the camera since Michael Jackson picked me out of the lineup, and I still don’t get used to it.
Executive Producer Adam Reed of Thinkfactory said he’s shot a lot of unscripted shows, “and this was one of the easiest experiences getting the cast used to the situation because they’ve all done music videos. They’ve all been in the business. So literally, that was what was great to see. We shot for about seven weeks; but about three hours into day one of the shooting, the cameras weren’t there. They weren’t paying attention to any of it, and they were in the moment, and you’ll see that throughout the whole show.”

Another thing you’ll see on the show is Keke Wyatt (who famously stabbed her former manager/husband Rahmat Morton on Christmas Day, 2002)  giving birth to her sixth child – a private moment she found “weird” and “creepy” to have filmed for reality television. She explains below…with Nicci and Adam Reed chiming in.

Dream Hampton Done with Hip Hop
Dream Hampton caused a firestorm online after revealing that Nas used Jay Electronica and Stic Man from Dead Prez as ghostwriters for his Untitled album
After being discounted and attacked by fans and rappers alike, Dream addresses the issue once and for all and vows to be done with hip hop...

Dream writes,
I began my writing career calling out Dr Dre for his misogyny. My friendship with Jay Z began when I reviewed Reasonable Doubt and called Jay out for his hyper-capitalism. I was not 'calling out' Nas by telling the truth about Stic writing whole bars (ne songs) on Untitled. I was telling a truth to someone who thought his most radical ideas were his own. They were not. I'm unsurprised that these men have circled around their lie.
I'm unmoved by the misogynist threats I'm receiving in open forums (last night Just Blaze tweeted I should be "bled out"). But I am done. I may not be done talking about this (unsubscribe to my feed, I will block as I see fit), but I am done with hip hop and men who collude to silence women. And done with women who are happy they're not me. Don't worry. You could never be.

AND FINALLY FROM “THE CRAZY PEOPLE SHOPPING AT WALMART” FILES
‘The Rodeo Clown’
You know for the life of me I couldn’t figure out why those rodeo bulls charge after the clown instead of the riders they buck off, but I get it now that I’m up close; I really want to charge at this dude full steam and cause him pain. Guess who is going to be cheering for the bull from now on? This guy.

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!
