Spike Lee's Bad 25 Michael Jackson Documentary To Debut At Venice & Toronto Film Festivals
With his Red Hook Summer film already in theaters, Spike Lee is moving on to his next joint. The director will unleash his Michal Jackson documentary Bad 25 at the Venice Film Festival in a few weeks, before screening the film at the Toronto International Film Festival.
In putting together the film, Lee called on several music and film stars will open up about the late great King of Pop. Among those on the guest list include Kanye West ,Cee Lo Green, Mariah Carey, ?uestlove, and director Martin Scorsese.
According to the synopsis, the documentary—celebrating the 25 th anniversary of the release of Jackson's Bad album— will show never before seen video of putting the album together:
Spike Lee pays tribute to Michael Jackson's Bad on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the epochal album, offering behind-the-scenes footage of Jackson recording the album and interviews with confidants, musicians, choreographers, and such music-world superstars as Kanye West, Sheryl Crow, Cee Lo Green and Mariah Carey.
Bad 25 features captivating behind-the-scenes footage of the recording sessions for several of Bad's biggest songs ("The Way You Make Me Feel" being among the most memorable). There are also revealing interviews with a number of fellow artists who worked with Jackson — such as Sheryl Crow, with whom Jackson shared the duet "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" on stage during the Bad world tour — and those who were inspired by him, including Kanye West, Cee Lo Green and Mariah Carey. Lee offers us a more intimate side of Jackson, one rarely glimpsed amidst the glitter and circus-like atmosphere that surrounded the notoriously private superstar, especially as his personal life (and appearance) became a scandal-rag mainstay in the years that followed Bad. As the landmark album takes shape before our eyes, we see Jackson's dedication to his craft, his talent for inspired collaboration, and his sly sense of humour — as well as some hints of the toll that his relentless work ethic had on his psyche..
Tyler Perry Takes a Break From Touring
Tyler Perry has had many movies and plays come out since his beginning as a character known as Madea. Fans from all over would get to see Tyler tour as Madea between his many movies.
He has still been juggling all these projects for years, but he is now releasing a statement explaining to his fans that he needs to take a break from touring to make time to work on some other projects. Tyler writes the following message on his site for his fans:
“I don’t know if you remember this or not, but around 2005 I took off from touring my Madea plays for about 5 years. During that time, I was working mostly on movies and TV shows. Well, as much as I love to be out on stage and doing a live Madea show, the time has come again for me to take a long break from the stage. I have some major projects that I’m working on that will require a lot of my time and effort. Just know that I did not want to stop this tour until I had hit as many cities as possible. So I’m going to finish out this Fall leg of the tour and then take a long break.”
I am sure when he does make it back to the stage Tyler Perry will be just as funny as he was before he took a break. Hopefully!
Halle Berry’s Birthday Dinner With Olivier Martinez & Salma Hayek
She only gets better with age, and Halle Berry celebrated her 46th birthday at the Little Door club in Los Angeles
Joined by her boyfriend Olivier Martinez, the “Swordfish” actress also got to spend time with her best friend Salma Hayek and her husband Francois-Henri Pinault at the West Hollywood establishment.
Ms. Berry will be going to court to convince a custody judge to let her take her daughter Nahla to live in France with Mr. Martinez and she’s claiming paparazzi attention is the impetus behind the decision.
The key will be for Halle to prove that constant shutterbug attention has made it unsafe for her and her little girl to live here in the States.
She has even subpoenaed paparazzo Andrew Deetz, the man who snuck up on her at Nahla’s school, causing a huge fracas that ended in Halle screaming at him and driving off in a huff.

It’s still uncertain whether the pair are actually engaged but given recent events, it would not be surprising. Last month, The homie over a MediaTakeOut reported that the two were expecting their first child together. The rapper and his girlfriend were spotted at Six Flags recently, where she was visibly pregnant MTV reports. The two have been seen photographed together for months now and even shared the cover of Urban Ink magazine in March.
Tyga looking like he’s got some big things popping and will be heading out on tour again this fall. Beginning September 4, Tyga will kick off a set of cross-country dates for MTV Jams’ “Closer to My Dreams” tour, which will include guests appearances from Iggy Azalea, Kirko Bangz and Sterling Simms. Dates include NYC, Los Angeles, Detroit and Boston.

Nelson Mandela Grandson ‘Mandla’ Is Not The FATHER!
Nelson Mandela’s 38-year-old grandson, has been embroiled in a love triangle scandal involving his second wife.
The relationship started badly enough when Mandla Mandela, was accused of bigamy when he wed French teenager Anais Grimaud while still married to his first wife.
He was sent home to her native homeland for giving birth to a child fathered by one of his own brothers.
“The Mandela family has sent my wife Nkosikazi Nobubele Mandela (nee Anais Grimaud) back to her home after it was discovered she has been having an affair with one of my brothers…I confirm this affair resulted in a son that Nkosikazi Nobubele gave birth to in 2011. I can also confirm DNA tests conducted have confirmed the child is not mine.”
Mandela said he recently found out that Oheya is not his biological child; instead, he was the son of one of his brother’s. Mandela have not said which one of his three brothers fathered the child and so far only one brother, Ndaba, has publicly made any statement about the child.
Ndaba Mandela was quoted as saying “Nobody knows who the father is, but I can confidently confirm that it was not me.”
Ndaba Mandela went on to say that he “never touched” his brother’s second wife, in a “physical or sexual way.”
Mandla is the oldest, born in 1974, followed by Ndaba (1983), Mbusu (1991) and Andile (1993).
Mandla is the first son of Makgatho Lewanika Mandela, an attorney who died of Aids in 2005. His second wife, Hi Zondi Mandela, died in 2003 and, at first, her cause of death was given as pneumonia.
After Makgatho’s death, Mandla announced that her pneumonia had been a complication of ther HIV virus.
Grimaud hasn’t said who the child’s real father is.

Rick Ross Talks Being A Correctional Officer With ROLLING STONE
It turns out the 50 Cent was right. At one point in time, there really was an "Officer Ricky." In the latest issue of ROLLING STONE, rapper Rick Ross opens up about his past as a corrections officer. The rapper with the #1 album in the country right now claims he used to "wash his hands" of past misdeeds after he saw his BFF go down with 10-years for drug dealing. He revealed,
"This was my best friend, who I ate peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches with, and pork and beans with, my buddy, my partner, my number-one dude. Suddenly I'm talking to him over federal phone calls. Hearing the way it was building, I knew I couldn't take nothing for granted."
"My homey's father was a huge influence on my life, too . . . He was the one who was like, 'Yo, go get a job somewhere, man. Go be a fireman. Or go be a fucking corrections officer. Just go sit down somewhere."

On his seizures and smoking too much weed: "I'm most definitely an avid user, a pothead, however you want to look at it. I call it green caviar. It's like a short vacation – it helps me chill out. And people really love it when I chill out, because I can really be a dickhead."
On going to a small Christian school: "They wanted me to learn the Ten Commandments. I told them I didn't really have time for that right now," recalls Ross, who eventually made his way back to public school and excelled as an offensive lineman in high school football. "I got through high school on my popularity and shit," Ross says. "But my grades was never good. I was never good at math."
On the Colorado theater shooting: "Such a cowardly act. I think we all have a right to bear arms, whichever amendment that is." (Even assault rifles? He shrugs.) "I got 'em."
On freedom of speech on gay marriage issue: "Chick-fil-A obviously took their stand. That's their right – the same way the pro-gay people are taking their stand. I believe everybody got the right to live their own life the way they want to." (So does that mean he'd support a Chick-fil-A boycott?) "Naw. I love that spicy chicken."
LOL! The issue hits stands on Friday and his latest LP (which is the hotness by the way), God Forgives, I Don't, is in stores now.
