50 Cent Addresses Homophobia And Growing Up With A ‘Lesbian’ Mother!
It seems 50 Cent is a changed man.
For, instead of throwing his one time nemesis through the nearest wall upon meeting, the Rapper engaged in a tell all interview with Perez Hilton recently, which saw them touch on a number of sensitive topics.
Topics, which include his mother’s sexual orientation, his own orientation and his thoughts on homophobia in society.

Sparkle rounded out the Top Five with an estimated $12 million debut, which is a decent opening for a modestly-budgeted, lightly-marketed movie. The audience skewed older (62 percent above 35 years of age) and female (74 percent), and they gave the movie an "A" CinemaScore, all of which indicates that it should play well throughout the rest of the season.

Jamie Foxx to Introduce New Show : “Apollo Live”
In a recent interview with Showbiz Tonight actor, singer Jamie Foxx introduces his ideas for a new singing competition “Apollo Live’ that will supposedly give American Idol a run for its money as reported by ballerwives.
Jamie , along with the help of Gladys Knight (who will be one of the judges) goes on to explain that American Idol,” is more based around its judges and not necessarily the talent now”. He feels that it is time for the artist to shine now, and to be able to really enjoy the moment.
Are you guys ready for a new age Apollo. It may be interesting if you can still boo contestants like they used to on the original show. He hasn’t said if booing will be a part of the show yet so i guess we have to wait and see.

NYPD shoot DOG on busy NYC street in front of horrified onlookers
A New York City police officer shot a dog who apparently snapped at him in a sad scene on a busy Manhattan street.
The dog is reportedly clinging to life after the shooting, which occurred on the corner of 2nd Avenue and 14th Street in the East Village neighbourhood.
Officers responded to the corner on a report of a sick man, and found a homeless individual in front of a KFC there, who appeared to have had a seizure.
But as the officers tried to wake him, a dog - which witnesses said belonged to the man - began growling at them.
The dog then leapt up at the officer, who fired one shot, striking the dog in the head as terrified bystanders looked on.
Despite earlier reports that the pit bull was killed, the animal, whose name is reportedly Star, is clinging to life at Animal Care & Control in the East Harlem neighborhood.
The man was not identified, but those at the scene told DNAInfo.com that he was a drifter from Poland, who often hung out on the corner with the dog.
While some witnesses said that the officer was only defending himself, others accused the officer of using excessive force.
One onlooker, who wished not to be identified, told Gothamist that officers had sprayed mace or pepper spray at the pit bull before the shot rang out.
Aida Feliciano, who lives nearby, told the New York Daily News that the man was kicked by officers, prompting the dog to become defensive of its owner.
She said: 'Instead of calling the ambulance, they started kicking him.'
Another witness told NY1: 'I talked to the cop afterwards. He was very shaken up. He's a dog lover and it ruined his week, if not his year. And he did what he had to do to protect himself.'
The homeless man was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The officer was also hospitalised for ringing in his ears.
The NYPD did not respond to a request for comment.

Sean “Diddy” Combs Under Consideration For “Idol” Role
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ name is being thrown into the mix of possible candidates to fill one of the empty judge’s seats on “American Idol.” The “New York Post” cites sources who say they “hear producers at the Fox show have reached out to the Bad Boy Records founder and rap mogul.” Pop superstar Mariah Carey has already claimed one of the seats left vacant by the back-to-back departures of Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez last month. So far, original “Idol” judge Randy Jackson is still on board but reports have suggested that his role may be changing on the show.
Jonas Brothers singer Nick Jonas confirmed over the weekend that he was in talks to take a seat on the panel. Country singer Brad Paisley and hip-hop producer Pharrell Williams are also among the names rumored to be under consideration to judge “Idol’s” 12th season.
Five Better Picks for the Role of Nina Simone Than Zoe Saldana
A large contingent of the black internet were up in arms last night at the news that Zoe Saldana is now replacing Mary J. Blige in a much-discussed Nina Simone biopic. Really? Because Zoe’s known for her deep speaking and singing voices? Because she’s known for singing at all? Because she bears such uncanny physical resemblance to Simone? Okay…
Shadow and Act has confirmed the news, which began as a rumor. The film, which was slated to begin production last May, has been long-delayed – and there’s still no solid assurance that it will begin to shoot any time soon. The storyline will focus on Simone’s relationship with her manager, Clifton Henderson. The fabulous David Oyelowo is attached to that role. You’ll get no complaints from me on that one. But Zoe is even more questionable than Blige for this biopic, as Blige is, at least, a singer (though in order for either of them to really get to the core of Nina Simone’s voice, they would have to lip sync).
No one’s arguing that Zoe isn’t an appealing onscreen presence and a rapidly rising star. But most would agree that, if she remains attached to this particular film, she will be woefully miscast. Here are a few experienced actresses who’d more fully fit the bill:
1. Adepero Oduye
Tambay O. Obenson of Shadow and Act has been vocal about his preference for the young Pariah star in the role of Nina Simone. Oduye has certainly proven that she can carry a film. She has the commanding presence and sensitivity to play Nina and it would be great to see what she would do with a role this iconic.
2. Aisha Hinds
I love Aisha Hinds. I’ve loved her in pretty much every role I’ve watched her play. I’ve been patiently waiting for her to score that one breakout performance that will catapult her from guest appearances on television dramas to the silver screen big time. Playing Nina Simone would definitely provide her that boost.
3. N’Bushe Wright
I’m starting to think Wright may be semi-retired. According to IMDB, she was in a comedy last year, A Talent for Trouble. But before that, her last acting credit was in 2005. If she’s interested in a comeback, I’d love to see her agent throw her hat into the ring for this role.
4. Viola Davis
This is the obvious choice, really, if it’s a film that wants any Oscar nods. Davis’s career is red-hot right now, and it’s likely she doesn’t have time to squeeze this in (or that she doesn’t want to do another biopic right now, as she has at least one other in the works). But her speaking voice and her powerful onscreen presence make her a shoo-in for consideration.
5. India.Arie
Look. I know she’s not an actress and maybe she has next to no interest in acting. But as soon as they started talking about a Nina Simone biopic, I started thinking about India.Arie as an obvious contender. Her singing voice and her physical appearance make her a viable candidate.

CoverGirl just announced they’ve named Janelle Monáe as their newest face, Vogue reports. Monáe’s beauty feels very natural, effortless and refreshing so it’s wonderful to see her acknowledged by the corporate beauty industry.
The 26 year-old singer opened up to Vogue about her new role as spokesperson, even sharing the Covergirl products she uses on herself:
“The singer, who does her own makeup for most major performances, has already started experimenting with CoverGirl’s Lash Blast Mascara. “I keep my eyes pretty simple but I like to make [my lashes] a little darker and thicker,” she says. She’s also been dipping into the company’s highly pigmented Lip Perfection line—introduced to her by makeup artist and CoverGirl global creative design director Pat McGrath on the Los Angeles set of her first print campaign two months ago. “She’s not only one of the most talented people in the universe but she’s also one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet,” says Monáe of bonding instantly with McGrath—who provided a quick solution to her mic-swiping lipstick quandary. “She told me to do the whole lip liner thing first so that it stains my mouth and makes the color last,” she says, before adding with a laugh: “Thank you, Pat!”

Bobby Brown Enters Rehab
It’s been a rough year for Bobby Brown and according to recent reports, he’s entered rehab.
The 43-year-old singer recently went into treatment for alcohol addiction, but it has not been confirmed when rehab began or when he sought help.
In March, the R&B singer was arrested with drunken driving charges. Only one month later, he lost his ex-wife Whitney Houston, who died of a drug overdose.
In light of the news, Brown’s wife Alicia Etheredge says he is doing well.

Usher Explains How Stalker Got in His Home at Custody Hearing
Taking the stand to discuss communication troubles with Tameka, Usher told the court he is never informed of just about anything pertaining to his children.
"It's alarming that I never know who was actually on the trip, who was with them, who was caretaking for them," said Usher. "Was the nanny there, was it a relative or a family member or one of the other children watching the kids? Was it a cousin, or an uncle—I don't know, I never know. I never get any information unfortunately until we're in court."
While that may have helped his case, which is to obtain full custody of his sons, Usher had to address Tameka's concern that his home was unsafe Monday. As widely reported last month, a woman describing herself as someone involved with Usher was able to access his property in a secured community. According to Usher's testimony, the stalker was able to enter the home and even take pictures.
"My grandmother answered the door (and) assumed this was someone I had an appointment with," Usher said before claiming a conversation with his bodyguard led to the woman be escorted off the property by the community's security team. "He (my bodyguard) was then brought over and escorted the lady out to the front yard. At that point they then escorted her off together."

Odd Future's Tyler the Creator joined in with everyone else trashing Miley Cyrus' new haircut on Twitter but Miley singled out Tyler and cut him to the bone.
We reported this past Sunday that Miley Cyrus got a kind of crazy new haircut that found her basically chopping off most of her hair.
Odd Future leader Tyler, the Creator must have seen some of the photographs that same day, because he sent out some tweets about it like, "She Was Like 'Hey, i Wanna Do Something Different.....Fuck Me Up Real Quick.'" He also noted that he should probably "shut the fuck up."
