Nas Tops Charts With Life Is Good Album
Naming his album Life Is Good, seems to have paid off for Nas, because the rapper has something new to celebrate: topping the charts. As expected, the Queens MC's 10th release came in the No. 1 spot selling over 139,000 copies in its first week, according to Hits Daily Double.
Final figures will not be released by Billboard until later today but as of now Nas pushed a respectable 139,402 beating out country act, Zack Brown Band, and more than doubling the numbers put up by Frank Ocean. While Ocean stole first place on iTunes for dropping his Channel Orange debut one week earlier than the physical copy, once the record hit stores it sold 59,825 copies. The numbers put the New Orleans native at nearly 200,000 albums (including digital sales) in just two weeks.

Even with the heavy anticipation behind Life Is Good, and critical acclaim across the Hip-Hop board, Mr. Jones was unable to surpass his last solo album, Untitled. Released in 2008, the album also topped Billboard's album charts, selling 187,078 copies.
Just because he scored another No. 1, don't expect Nas to slow down the promotion of the album. Aside from embarking on an international tour, the 39-year-old is scheduled to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight.
Life is good, indeed.

And what is this f*ckery here: Raz B's Brother Ricky Romance Is BOO'D UP With....Linda Hogan?!
Well looky looky, or NOT? Raz B's brother, Ricky Romance, who is always caught up in some type of random foolery, is back at it. Check out which cougar he was spotted boo'd up and lip locking with recently....
Yeah...not sure why this is happening. But wrestler Hulk Hogan's 52-year-old ex-wife Linda Hogan (now Linda Bollea) is Ricky Romance's new boo. Or something. And he's only a little more than half her age. Linda actually just ended a relationship with another 20-something year old guy as well.
The two were caught out at a restaurant/lounge recently looking very close. They claim to be just friends as Ricky said last month Linda would be appearing in his new video. (What video....and why?) But this looks to be a bit more than that.
If they like it....

Jennifer Lopez's Red Hot Big Apple 43rd Birthday Bash
Continuing to celebrate her 43rd birthday, Jennifer Lopez and her beau Casper Smart hit the streets in style in New York City on Tuesday
The stunning Latina songstress looked ravishing in a form-fitting red dress and strappy sky high heels while walking hand-in-hand with her backup dancer boo.
The couple made their way to a lavish boat celebration and joined a large group of friends to party the night away in honor of the lovely birthday gal.
It looks like JLo also enjoyed simple treats on her special day as she tweeted, “Mr.Softee vanilla cone w/sprinkles on my birthday!! #itsaNewYorkthing #happygirl. Somebody loves me...:)”
In related news, Miss Lopez recently sat down with MTV before debuting her newest music video. Jennifer opened up about her split from husband Marc Anthony and the impact it had on her title track.

"Even in this Dance Again...the Hits and the single 'Dance Again' was very much how I was feeling at that moment. It was a song that Enrique [Iglesias] wrote for himself and the chorus to me, 'I want to dance and love and dance again,' at that time in my life when I had just gone through a breakup of a family, not just a relationship, it was [me asking]: To dance again? Or to love again? Or to do anything again felt like 'wow," she said.
"But that's what I wanted," the stunning performer added, "I wanted to do that. And so that song, I begged Enrique, 'You have to let me change a couple of words in the verses to make it my own,' and he was like, 'Yeah, it's your song.' I went and I did it. When you see the reaction from the crowd when I perform it, it's like, it's mind-blowing." Go sit your old ass down…LOL!!!!

Jennifer Hudson Murder Trial: William Balfour Gets 3 CONSECUTIVE LIFE Sentences!
William Balfour, who was convicted by a Cook County jury in May in the 2008 murders of singer Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew, was sentenced today to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Judge Charles Burns imposed three consecutive life sentences for the murders and 120 years for the underlying felonies of home invasion and aggravated kidnapping.
An emotional Burns told Balfour his crimes “send a chill through all of us” and said Balfour’s “soul is as barren as dark space.”
The judge said he was appalled that Balfour would claim to love Julian.
”The fact that you can stand in court and tell us you love that child is an insult to all of us,” Burns said.
”There’s no doubt in my mind he looked up to you as you were putting bullets into his head,” Burns said in a shaking voice. “I just hope his terror was short-lived.”
Balfour looked at the judge without expression as he spoke. Balfour made a statement to the victims’ family members: “My condolences go out to the family,” said Balfour, who was estranged from Hudson’s wife, Julia, at the time of the murders. “My deepest sympathies go to Julian King. I loved him. I still love him.”
King was Jennifer Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew, who was among the three killed in 2008.
A female member of Balfour’s family burst into tears and ran out of the courtroom after Balfour spoke.
Balfour spoke as he stood at the defense table in a tan jail jumpsuit and looked toward his own family, not at Jennifer Hudson or her family who were seated across the aisle.
In court, Julian’s father, Gregory King, sat hunched over on the witness stand and sniffled as he recalled his fun-loving son who enjoyed cartoons and playing with his friends and family.
Jennifer and Julia Hudson both dabbed at their eyes with tissues during the testimony.
Burns denied Balfour’s motion for a new trial. Prosecutors are calling victims from Balfour’s past crimes.
Charles Gardner, 48, testified he caught Balfour in the act of stealing his SUV in November 1998 and jumped onto the luggage rack, touching off a wild police chase through several South Side neighborhoods and down the Dan Ryan Expressway as Balfour tried to shake him off the roof.
When Assistant State’s Attorney Jim McKay asked how fast Balfour was driving on the expressway, Gardner replied, “I would say close to 100 miles per hour.”
Jennifer Hudson glanced at her sister Julia as Gardner testified, at one point putting her hand to her temple and shaking her head with a smile of disbelief.
Balfour was captured and charged with attempted murder. He pleaded guilty and spent nearly a decade in prison.
He was still on parole when Hudson’s three relatives were murdered in October 2008.
Burns denied the motion for a new trial that was filed last month by Balfour’s attorneys. Defense lawyers argued that Jennifer Hudson should not have been allowed to testify at trial because she had no direct knowledge of the murders and her celebrity unfairly influenced the jury.
Such motions are routinely filed to raise issues for appeal and are almost never granted by the trial Judge.Hudson was the first witness called by prosecutors in Balfour’s two-week trial. The Chicago-born superstar testified tearfully that she knew Balfour from growing up in the Englewood neighborhood. Hudson testified that she begged her sister not to marry him, but she did anyway.
A Cook County jury convicted him of fatally shooting Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and brother Jason Hudson, 29, in the family’s South Side house and then kidnapping and killing her 7-year-old nephew Julian King.

Out of a Tragedy comes LIFE! First picture of the son born to wife who survived Dark Knight slayings.
Pictures of the new-born baby of two Colorado movie theater shooting survivors have been released - as it emerged that medical bills of $2 million for his still critically injured father could financially ruin his family.
Mother Katie Medley, 21, gave birth to Hugo Jackson Medley in the same hospital where her husband Caleb is in a medically-induced coma after being shot in the head during Friday's massacre.
A hospital spokesman said Hugo was born at 7:11am and was 'doing great' along with his mother.
Katie's husband Caleb Medley, 23, who was shot after gunman James Holmes alleged sprayed a movie audience with bullets in Aurora but without health insurance the family face crippling medical bills if he fully recovers.
He has lost his right eye and may have suffered permanent brain damage. Katie was not hurt.
The couple attended the midnight screening of the much-anticipated movie on what was supposed to be their last night out before their baby boy was born.
Caleb's brother Seth, 21, told ABC he is showing small signs of improvement.
'There are indications that he understands us and can tell who we are,' he said. 'His wife talks to him and he shudders. There are obvious signs he understands.'
He says the doctors call his small successes -- a thumbs up on command and a clenched fist -- 'purposeful movement'.
Katie Medley, who is quoted on a fundraising website set up by friends, said someone entered through an emergency exit at the bottom of the theater and threw something over their heads.
'I thought it was a prank at first, or someone playing along with the movie because it happened during a fight scene,' she said. But then he opened fire and her husband was shot.
'I didn't know how he was, because there was so much blood, but he was still moving, and he kept running his fingers through his hair,' she recounted.
She said her husband was the fourth victim removed from the theater after police arrived. They put him in the back of a police car and drove him to hospital.
The couple's friend, Michael West has set up a website dedicated to raising funds for Caleb to help out the family with the spiraling medical costs.
The website has already raised over $186,000 and has a target of $500,000.
'Caleb doesn't have any insurance, so I put together a website,' said an emotional West.
'We talk to him because we know he can hear us and we tell him that he needs to get better because he needs to be a dad.'
On Monday, as Caleb lay in critical condition at University of Colorado Hospital, Katie was delivering their son. She had changed the delivery location so she could be close to him.
Katie Medley's father, David Sanchez, said his daughter and son-in-law had been waiting for a year to watch the premiere of The Dark Knight Rises.
While his daughter was delivering her baby, Sanchez went to the courthouse in suburban Denver where shooting suspect James Holmes was making his first court appearance.
Through this website set up by his friend Michael West, $186,000 has been raised towards paying for Caleb Medley's medical bills
Sanchez, who works at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, arrived too late to get a seat and to see Holmes.
'When it's your own daughter and she escaped death by mere seconds, I want to say it makes you angry,' he said outside court.
'I wanted to come here. I wasn't sure about (Katie's) feelings. She is being very strong right now, having to make a huge amount of decisions.
'I have to go with what she wants. She really didn't want to give a whole bunch of information to the media. She has been avoiding it.'
The aspiring stand-up comic had won a contest at a comedy club last week and he was expected to move on to the next round.

Friends have set up a website to raise money and support for the couple, who don't have health insurance. They have raised about $15,000, but medicals bill could reportedly reach $2 million.

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Reunion, It’s not Going to Happen!! WOMP!!
Well well, rumor has it that there won’t be a reunion show for the cast of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. This is just like the other hip hop show in NY, the cast members don’t get along and Executive Producer Mona Scott Young will conduct one-on-one interviews!
Sources say:
“There’s only four episodes left, and we’re not going to have a reunion show. The cast doesn’t get along. The boys hate the boys and the girls hate the girls.”
We’re not sure if this is true, because after being put on blast in last night’s episode for not paying child support, Scrappy took to Twitter where he promised to drop some bombs on the reunion show:
I don’t understand what Scrappy is saying, maybe you can.
“First off we had an agreement so I dont have them folks in my business, not cus I wasn’t takin’ care of them but believe wut u want…” he said on his child support agreement with Erica.
“Man just for that lying an actin’ on #LHHATL again I’m def gone drop the bomb on the reunion about this.”

Rapper Eve GOODBYE USA Hello United Kingdom!
Rapper/actress Eve now calls London her home. The Philly native has relocated from the United States to London, but still visits the U.S. regularly. She explained to Essence:
“I’ve relocated to London, so right now it’s London. I walk everywhere when I’m there. It’s so eclectic. It’s New York on steroids. There are so many cultures and sounds, and people and fashion. Chicks are so fly. I live in a neighborhood where there’s a lot of West Indian culture, so it’s nice. I have to always come back because my mother would kill me if I didn’t, but right now that’s where I’m at.”
Even with her being overseas, Eve still makes it back to the U.S. regularly. She was just in the nation’s capital over the weekend, attending the International AIDS Conference, and was spotted hanging out with the likes of Nancy Pelosi.
