Naomi Campbell’s Reality Show “The Face” Now Casting In New York And LA
The Oxygen network confirmed last may that they had asked Naomi Campbell to host and mentor on their new model competition, “The Face”, and with the open calls in New York and L.A. coming up soon, they’ve started to give the show a big push. Sources report Naomi Campbell has begun casting for her new model search television show,The Face, and the supermodel has revealed what she’s looking for in a potential winner….

“I look forward to discovering the next great model on The Face,” Campbell said in a press release today. “I’m looking for contestants who have the whole package – a beautiful face; healthy, toned body; unique look; interesting personality; confidence; and, above all, strong work ethic and drive. I’m seeking someone who possesses a global, worldly outlook, but can also be seen as a home-grown girl next door.”

The show – which will be formatted in a similar way to America’s Next Top Model, helmed by Campbell’s one-time enemy Tyra Banks, during which contestants compete weekly to become the face of a major national brand – opened its casting programme today, with auditions set to be held in the coming weeks in New York and Los Angeles.

African-American school superintendent accused of calling black staff 'slaves' resigns over racism investigation

An African-American school administrator has resigned because of an ongoing investigation into complaints that she made racist remarks to black staff.
Ethelda Burke resigned from her post as Tukwila School District Superintendent after nine district employees filed racial discrimination complaints against her.
Two staff members at Showalter Middle School alleged that Burke referred to them as ‘slaves’ while another employee said she criticized him for turning the district into a ‘ghetto' by hiring too many black staff.

The accusers range from vice principals to teachers to dispatchers in the Tukwila School District, south of Seattle, Washington.

J.D.Hill, the school district’s athletic and activities director, complained that Burke criticized him for hiring too many black people and said he was 'making the district look too black' and turning her district into a 'ghetto.'
Demanding her dismissal, Hill claimed Burke called him J-Dark.
'When I walked in her office, she said, "Hey, J-Dark,"' said Hill. 'J-Dark was my nickname, my pet name for months, in a professional environment.'
Another school employee, Doc Fells, also filed a complaint against Burke.
'She said to me you have to stop being a big, black man scaring our white drivers,' Fells, a driver trainer and dispatcher, told King5.com. 'And it numbed me.'
And a group of female employees claims Burke referred to them as slaves.
'I was pissed,' said Marva Harris, a school security officer.

'I couldn't believe my ears she would refer to professional African-American women as slaves,' added teacher Sandra Goins.
The school employees say Burke's race made them pause before filing the complaint.
'If she wasn't a person of color, me personally, I would have gone after her long before now,' said bus driver Ritchie Coleman.

After her resignation Burke said in a statement: 'As an African-American woman, born in a charity hospital in New Orleans, I learned at an early age what it’s like to be the victim of discrimination.'
After the Tukwila School Board rejected the accusations the staff filed complaints with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where an investigation is still ongoing.
Burke stepped down on June 30 saying the complaints have taken a toll on her and her family.

Jason Kidd is celebrating signing to the New York Knicks...plus he and his new wife Porschla Coleman (who already has a bangin' post baby bod) have a brand new baby girl at home.

In addition to celebrating the birth of their baby girl a little while ago, NBA baller Jason Kidd and wife Porschla Coleman celebrated news of his trade to the Knicks .The Knicks gave them the VIP treatment with a helicopter ride this week to get them to the press conference where Jason copped his brand new jersey.

And Jason recently tweeted pics of his growing family and one of his 2-year-old son sleeping next to his new sister.

Obviously, Jason's really happy about his 3-year deal worth $9 Million. We would be too. He tweeted, "Big day signing with the Knicks, excited for the future and grateful for the past. ‪#Mavs‬ and ‪#Dallas‬ were good to us and we'll miss you all."

Guerilla Black – Compton Rapper Arrested In Connection With Massive Seattle Credit Card Scam

It’s been a while since Guerilla Black’s name has been mentioned in the rap world, and this certainly wasn’t the manner in which he wanted to mark that return to headlines i’m sure/

Black ,real name Charles Tony Williamson, was arrested at home in L.A this week for allegedly purchasing and using stolen credit and debit card numbers that were obtained through computer hacks of two Seattle area businesses according to the Seattle Police Department.

Two co-conspirators, David Benjamin Schrooten, 22, of the Netherlands, and Christopher A. Schroebel, 21, of Keedysville, Maryland have already been indicted and arrested for hacking into and selling the credit card information from the Seattle businesses. The investigation revealed that within hours of customers using their credit cards in Seattle, the card numbers were fraudulently used by Williamson and his co-horts in California and Nevada.
According to the indictment, between January 11, 2011 and February 26, 2012, WILLIAMSON received and possessed at least 27,257 stolen credit card numbers, including cards issued by American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Loss figures are as yet incomplete, but close to $ 150,000 in fraud loss has been attributed to just 134 of the over 27,000 card numbers stolen.

The indictment alleges that WILLIAMSON communicated by email with two co-conspirators, telling them that he wanted to purchase “dumps” of stolen credit card numbers “in bulk,” that is lots of 100, 500 or more. Williamson indicated that he wanted “freshly” stolen numbers so they would be easier to use, since the customers would not yet know their information had been stolen.
The ”Compton” hitmaker is charged with: conspiracy to access protected computers to further fraud, to commit access device fraud and to commit bank fraud; two counts of accessing a protected computer without authorization to further fraud; six counts of access device fraud; eight counts of bank fraud; and five counts of aggravated identity theft.

Jay Z Sued Over Rock-A-Fella Logo

Jay Z is being sued for $7 million in unpaid royalties by the designer of the Roc-A-Fella logo...
Dwayne Walker filed suit in Manhattan Federal court yesterday against Roc-A-Fella founders Jay Z, Damon Dash and Kareem 'Biggs' Burke, claiming he was paid $3,500 for the logo design and promised 2% royalties from all products carrying the logo until 2015.
In his suit Dwayne states,
''The logo has become universally recognized as an iconic symbol of Jay-Z, one of the most successful recording artists in the history of popular music.''
Dwayne designed the Roc-A-Fella logo in 1995 which features the letter R over a vinyl disc and a champagne bottle.

Jennifer Lopez officially quits ‘American Idol’: “We had an amazing run”

For months, Jennifer Lopez has been playing a one-woman Hamlet in the press, changing her mind daily about whether she would return for a third season of American Idol, the reality show which gave her career one of the most extraordinary second acts in modern celebrity. J.Lo was still playing word games yesterday during her interviews, not confirming or denying that she was leaving. Then, in a sudden move late yesterday, Steven Tyler announced that HE was leaving Idol to focus on Aerosmith. So Jennifer decided to walk all over Steven’s announcement by suddenly announcing that yes, she’s made up her mind, and she’s definitely leaving.

After months of speculation, and the “hardest business conversation she’s ever had,” Jennifer Lopez confirms she is leaving American Idol after two seasons.
“I honestly feel like the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I do that I put … on hold because I love Idol so much,” Lopez, 42, told Ryan Seacrest Friday on his KIIS-FM morning show. 

“I could do Idol for the rest of my life,” she said, “but that would be giving up a bunch of other things. We had an amazing run.”
Lopez follows in the footsteps of fellow judge Steven Tyler, who announced Thursday that he will not be returning for another season.
There is also speculation that veteran critic Randy Jackson will be leaving. And a source tells PEOPLE Mariah Carey is in serious talks to take one of the judges’ spots.

I think this is one of the stupidest moves J.Lo has ever made for her career. It’s right up there with “marrying Marc Anthony and letting him bully her into firing half of her management team.” J.Lo was in the wilderness (career-wise) during her marriage to Marc. She wasn’t getting many movie offers and her albums were selling poorly. Idol changed all of that, and now she’s (somewhat) back on the A-list. And I think she seems unprofessional and ungrateful for leaving after only two seasons. It will be worse for her too if Idol producers reveal that Jennifer decided not to come back because she wanted even more money. Which the REAL REASON…Besides on a serious note. Non singers should not be judging REAL SINGERS!

Doug And Jackie Christie Re-New Vows

Retired basketball star Doug Christie and his wife Jackie are known for their close relationship. The couple who star on Basketball Wives L.A., re-marry every year on their anniversary, because as Jackie says, “If you’re always planning a wedding, you don’t have time to plan a divorce.” They renewed their wedding vows on their 17th wedding anniversary Monday night at Eleven Nightclub in West Hollywood. This year, they chose to renew their vows at a gay night club (a nod to the fight for marriage equality). According to the reality television stars, the wedding will air on the forthcoming season of Basketball Wives LA.

“As life-long supporters of the gay community, Doug and I remain humbled by the overwhelming love, acceptance and friendship they have extended with open arms while treating us like family,” Jackie Christie said at the ceremony, according to a statement.
“As we celebrate 17 years of marriage, it weighs heavy on our hearts that the same love shared by many of our friends is considered “less than” and is not widely recognized due to antiquated laws, lack of acceptance, and misperceptions, among other discriminatory factors.
Tonight was nothing less than a celebration of the recent advancements made in the fight for Marriage Equality, but also a reminder of the work that still needs to be done. Until that battle is won, Doug and I will remain soldiers on the frontlines.”

Bedside Vigil For Kile Glover; Usher’s Family Asks For Prayers

Usher and his family have asked for prayers for his beloved stepson Kile Glover who was recently injured in a jet ski accident that has now left him brain dead and on life support.
This is such a tragic situation. We will definitely keep Tameka, Ryan, Usher and their children in our constant prayers.

The family told CNN:
“We know God’s in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time.
We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it’s the best way we can all support him now.”

Toya Wright sued by publisher and Toya responds 'I refuse to let anyone lie on me'

Toya Wright denies that she did anything to justify a $1 million lawsuit against her for breach of contract.
The reality star and author is working on her follow-up book to Priceless Inspirations, but she may have to find a new publisher, since Farrah Gray Publishing, the company responsible for printing and distributing her first book, is suing.
“u trying to sue me for 1 million dollars. for what??? give me 1 good reason,” she tweeted Thursday. “i refuse to let anyone lie on me. i did all I can do to sell my book and promote it. so all of this is BS!”

The book placed on the New York Times Bestseller list, but the company’s attorneys have accused Toya of not properly promoting the work.

Toya not only took to Twitter to refute the claims, she’s officially responded through a spokesperson.

“Mrs. Wright consistently went above and beyond her contractual obligations which included: Self- funding a college tour promoting Priceless Inspirations, Cross promotion of her Ampro endorsement by placing the book cover on Ampro products nationwide and allowing Farrah Gray Publishing the platform to promote her book on her highly successful reality show on Black Entertainment Television," Toya’s reps said in a statement.

According to reports, Toya is also accused of selling the book privately, which is considered a “direct, contributory and vicarious inducement of copyright infringement, unfair competition and breach of contract.”
Toya’s fans took to Twitter to defend her and bear witness to her efforts to promote her debut literary work.

It’s not clear how much Toya or Farrah Gray Publishing earned from the book, but writing is not Toya’s only means of income. She just signed a deal with Walmart and opened a salon to complement her already successful Garb boutique.

A judge ordered Stevie Wonder’s cousin to stand trial on an extortion charge after hearing testimony that the man and his girlfriend attempted to sell a film ranting against the singer’s treatment of his family for millions of dollars.
Superior Court Judge Ray Jurado ruled Thursday that prosecutors had presented enough evidence for a jury to decide whether Alpha L. Walker and his girlfriend Tamara E. Diaz extorted Wonder by threatening to sell it to various media outlets if they weren’t paid by the Grammy-winning musician.
The pair has been jailed since May 2, when they were arrested during a sting organized by Wonder’s attorney and Los Angeles police. The pair was given a $10,000 down payment on a $500,000 agreement to hand over the film footage and keep its contents confidential.

Will NeNe get FIRED from R.H.o.A for fighting with Kandi?

Of course by now you read from Monday’s Chronicles about NeNe and Kandi’s tussling. Well The fight is so huge that RumorFix.com is alleging that NeNe could get the ax for said fight. The site explains, “…Nene and producers had been butting heads over filming since production began two months ago – and this week, it got PHYSICAL. Our insider claims that NeNe ‘struck’ one of the producers in the FACE during a scuffle.” The site also alleges that the always present housewives trip (it occurs on every season of every franchise, does it not?) could be the last of Ms. Leakes. It claims, “We’re told that the housewives are leaving today on their annual ‘Housewives Trip’ and when they return, the powers that be will decide what to do with NeNe.” The Neenster, of course, blames all the gossip on tabloids without a better story. She maintains, via twitter, “I really do appreciate the press but can u guys come up with a better story than that.”

Of course, Tamara Tattles has the inside scoop. She is quite the insider, and I must say, I am a tad jealous. She reveals that the women’s trip for season five will find Atlanta’s finest in Anguilla…and they are they RIGHT. NOW. She says that the women are enjoying some time in the tropics (while not battling crew members) minus some Kim Zolciak. She can’t have her baby in the third world, can she? According to the site, the women are ready to set sail to St. Martin for some duty free shopping…and perhaps another brawl. Oh NeNe, didn’t being on Glee teach you anything about being a professional?
