On the heels of his much-talked about 2012 Summer Jam performance, Nas has revealed the cover art for his upcoming Life Is Good disc (July 17).

And yes, that's Kelis' infamous green wedding dress (or a replica of it) he's holding.

All kidding aside, it’s a day for the industry to come together and celebrate itself and the creations of its members.Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen really are fashion royalty at the CFDA (that's Council of Fashion Designers of America) Awards, the girls work on their fashion line the Row won them the 2012 Womenswear Designers of the Year award.

Johnny Depp was also lauded for his personal style. Just one night after taking center stage at the MTV Movie Awards with the Black Keys, Depp opted to stay out of the spotlight. The 48-year-old actor wasn't present to accept his Fashion Icon award, and Cry-Baby director John Waters accepted on his behalf.

So did the stylish celebs and hip designers hold a grudge against Depp for bailing on his big night? Jessica Chastain, Rachel Zoe, Zosia Mamet, and more of Hollywood's elite weighed in on the Pirates of the Caribbean star's unique fashion choices...
"Hot!" Diane Von Furstenberg gushed, when asked about to describe the actor's style.
"His style is fabulous," Girls' star Zosia Mamet said."It's eclectic," Busy Philipps said with a smile.
Jessica Chastain, who looked stunning in Prabal Gurung dress and Harry Winston jewels, said Depp is "just so cool! "He just sort of creates his own convention," the actress said. "He doesn't just like follow the rules. He makes the rules." Padma Lakshmi described Depp's look quite concisely: "Eyeliner. One bath less a week. A few grays, and killer charisma. "
Rachel Zoe, wearing a dress and clutch from her own collection, said the actor's style was "eccentric, rugged...very much his own...never trying to hard, but always cool." I think its tacky personally!

Lauryn Hill Defends Nicki Minaj Against Radio ‘Scare Tactics’

On Monday Funkmaster Flex shocked fans when he openly vowed to ‘tear Nicki Minaj’ down for not performing at Summerjam 2012, the event organized by his radio station Hot 97.
Now, in her defense, fellow Rap queen has released a statement weighing in on the situation, supporting her decision to walk away from what many saw as a dangerous situation.

Her words below…
No disrespect to Nicki, but I need to clear up an inaccuracy.
I was not scheduled to be a special guest on her set at Summer Jam, I was invited by Nas to perform with him.
I don’t have details on exactly what transpired between the station and the artists, but I do support artists standing by their beliefs, and walking with integrity. We have to find a better way to commercially exploit music, while giving artists their proper respect.
This cannot be done while taking their contributions for granted, or trying to control the scope of their growth and power through threats and fear tactics. We can do better than this, there is a better way, or else ‘we’ (the proverbial we) find ourselves in danger of being hypocrites!!!

In response to claims Minaj had ‘sold out’ for releasing dance music, Lauryn’s comments come before DJ Flex revealed the MC is to join him on his 7pm (EST) show this evening to discuss what went down.
Surprising, as his scathing remarks on her latest LP led many to believe their ‘friendship’ had been completely severed.

Some won’t like this, but in keeping it 100 I’ll say this:
Like most characters in black music, Flex likes his acts high enough to brag about being near the top, but low enough to be dragged to the bottom when they -by his estimation- ‘sell out’.

Thus, it’s no surprise he showed his true colors once he didn’t get his way with Nicki - all but calling her a ‘flop’ when she refused to take to the stage.
Funny thing is though, he wasn’t calling her a ‘flop’ when she sat down with him back in April to promote ‘Roman Reloaded‘ or when Hot 97 deemed her powerful enough to headline their so called event. An event, which was depending on Minaj’s appearance to shift tickets.

We wonder if he and Peter Rosenberg would be as quick to slam her if say…she was a man, or was content with remaining a ‘hood star’ for the duration of her career, catering to an audience who fail at supporting the acts they themselves claim to approve of. I tell ya the kids know can do some Stunts and Shows!

She may be a Real Housewife of Atlanta with a lavish lifestyle, but things may not stay quite so glamorous for Kim Zolciak.
The owner of the reality star’s home is threatening to evict her, claiming Kim has failed to pay her rent.
Kendra Davis, whose husband is NBA star Antonio Davis, owns the Atlanta mansion where 34-year-old Kim lives with her American football player husband Kroy Biermann and her three children.
However the star’s lease reportedly ran out last week, and now Kendra has taken to Twitter to lash out at the blonde.

She hinted that Kim, who also stars in reality show Don’t Be Tardy For The Wedding which follows the run up to her nuptials, is having some money troubles.

Kendra wrote: ‘I would LOVE to compare Net Worth statements. but do people who live check to check have one?? Let's do it!!’
The furious property owner then went on to insinuate she has taken action towards evicting Kim and her brood at the earliest possible opportunity.

‘I am not allowing anything to happen. Hence the lawsuit and they have been on notice to call Two Men and a Truck.’
Kim took to her own Twitter account to respond to the allegations – although not directly – and vehemently refuted the claims.

She then went on to imply that Kendra had other motives for making the claims, writing: ‘Oh! So now I dont pay my rent LMAO...Ppl will say anything for attention. I know if ppl weren’t paying me Id have a lawyer not twitter court.’
It has been reported by TMZ that Kim was renting the home with the intention of buying, but changed her mind when she learned the $3million asking price was overvalued.
The website claims that Kendra lashed out in anger as a result, and Kim has now decided to move out altogether to avoid further drama.
Kim and Kroy are currently expecting their second child together after Kim announced her pregnancy in March.

Kanye Skips His Paris After Party to Skype Kim Kardashian : So In Love ????

Sources report Kanye West was so pissed that his girlfriend Kim Kardashian was banned from the legendary Paris stop of the Watch the Throne tour that he skipped the after party to Skype with Kim instead.
KANYE West is truly under the thumb – he even skipped his own aftershow party in Paris on Saturday to talk to his missus over t’internet.
After the Watch The Throne gig, Kanye legged it straight back to his hotel to catch up with girlfriend Kim Kardashian.

It was left to Jay-Z to get bongoed at the afterparty with his wife Beyonce.
The couple were joined at the bash at L’Arc nightclub by Serena Williams, Quicy Jones, actor Adrien Brody and Whitney Houston’s ex mentor Clive Davis.
When the DJ played I Will Always Love You in tribute, Jay and Bey belted out the lyrics to each other. A source said: “Jay and Beyonce

Young Dro vs the Repo Man

When will these rappers learn? It's not what you cop but what you can keep. Atlanta rapper Young Dro just got his Maserati repo'd...

According to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Dro leased a $134,000, 2007 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT in January 2008. The docs say Dro agreed to fork over a $7,500 down payment and then pay monthly payments of $1,606.62.
But according to the lawsuit, Dro defaulted on the lease and now owes the leasing company $61,220.37. The company has repo'd the Maserati.
The leasing company wants the money it is owed, plus attorneys' fees.

Evander Holyfield May Be Going To Jail $372,000 Child Support 

Sad news… Boxer Evander Holyfield has a major set of financial problems dealing with his baby mama’s.
The boxer who earned $250 million over the course of his career is now $372,000 behind in child support payments.
The courts are telling him that if he doesn’t pay, he’s going to end up in jail.

Holyfield declared bankruptcy in 2008 and recently found out that the Department of Human Services has file suit against him to collect payments for his 18-year old daughter. They are alleging that Holyfield hasn’t made a payment since April, 2010.

Holyfield’s 54,000 square foot house was foreclosed on in 2009. Holyfield has 11 children in total. He once earned $54 million for one fight against Mike Tyson in 1997, but things have headed down hill since then. Holyfield’s current home has 10acres, 109 rooms and 17 bathrooms.

Alfre Woodard Returning To True Blood

HBO’s True Blood returns to the airwaves this Sunday, June 10th with a plethora of fresh meat — but there are also some familiar faces back for season five. We have learned that Academy Award nominee and Emmy winner Alfre Woodard will return as Ruby Jean Reynolds, the schizophrenic mother of Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) last seen in season three. Ruby Jean was a patient in a local mental hospital and under the care of Jesus (Kevin Alejandro), who later went on to have a tragic romance with Lafayette. She’s set to appear in episodes five and six of the HBO series, and possibly more. Alfre Woodard was nominated for an 2011 Emmy — Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series — for the True Blood role.

The fun loving 24-year-old island gal looks made for a Vita CoCo campaign as she posed in a two piece pineapple covered shorts & halter combo for the coconut water company. Rihanna also dished on how her fave drink helped her tone up her hot body. 

She told Us Weekly:
"I wasn't drinking enough water before, and I love coconut water. It hydrates me just as much as regular water so it really started to affect my diet and the way my body was shaping up."
"I also started to eat a little differently" the songstress admits, delving into the details of her diet. "I added one vegetable to each meal with my diet for awhile -- but then I went right back to eating McDonald's and pasta and stuff like that too! So really its just having a balance of eating great and staying hydrated."

Jay Electronica Breaks Up Royal Marriage?

It seemed like the perfect union – a marriage that brought together two of the country’s wealthiest families.
He was the multi-millionaire son of the late financier and tycoon Jimmy Goldsmith, she a scion of the Rothschild banking dynasty.
But now Ben Goldsmith and his music producer wife Kate, who have three children, are to divorce after she embarked on a passionate love affair with an American rap singer named Jay Electronica.
Last night Mr Goldsmith confirmed the split, saying: ‘I’m pretty shell-shocked by everything. All I am thinking about now is my children.’
The marriage ended with a dramatic showdown at the family home in Notting Hill, West London, on Wednesday morning.

Mr Goldsmith, 31, confronted his 30-year-old wife over explicit text messages and emails he found on her smartphone that she had received from and sent to the New Orleans-born hip-hop artist, who now lives in London and is one of her clients.
After initially denying the romance, Mrs Goldsmith confessed to the affair when her husband told her he had read the text messages.
During a heated altercation, Mr Goldsmith slapped his wife and kicked a child’s toy at her.
He then took the children to school. By the time he returned, she had called police and they were at the house to arrest him.
Last night a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers were called to attend a domestic disturbance in the couple’s street at 8am and arrested a man on suspicion of common assault.
