Did R.Kelly’s Memoir Get Pulled?
Back in 2009, R.Kelly pushed the book back due to clearing up
his name. According to the most recent announcement R Kelly’s book was scheduled
to drop on June 28th, 2012. And now all of a suddenAmazon is no longer taking
pre-orders with the disclaimer “We don’t know when or if this item will be back
in stock.”
I’m not sure if the pre-order is over or what, so time will tell. I’ll keep you posted!

BeBe Winans is promoting his new book, 'The Whitney I Knew',
about his friendship with Whitney Houston and recalls the time Whitney gave him
$50,000 to buy a house...
BeBe tells Access Hollywood,
I wanted a house and, being a musician, the banks look at you as a risk... I had $25,000, which they said I had to put down (as a deposit) and then they changed it... and said, 'You've gotta put $75,000 (down).'
"Whitney flew in... just to visit, and she said, 'Take me to that house that you're buying'. I took her to the house and while we were walking through the house... she would look at the staircase and she'd say, 'Oh, that looks like my brother's staircase!'
"We got to the end of the tour and she looks at me and reached into her purse and gives me an envelope and says, 'Open it'... It was the remaining $50,000 that I needed and I looked at her and said, 'I'm gonna pay you back,' and she said, 'Don't worry about it'.

Lauren London, A New Face On The Game
The Game has found a new player! Following the exits of Tia
Mowry and Pooch Hall, Lauren London has joined the cast of The Game as a series
regular for it’s sixth season. Lauren will play Kiera, a former child star who
has been in the spotlight since she was five years old and starring on a Cosby
Show-esque sitcom. She’s bright and charming, but struggling into transitioning
into a grown-up career. Lauren won’t be the only new character joining the show,
Bryce “The Blueprint” Westbook, an Ivy League draft pick running back, who
breaks every “dumb athlete” stereotype, will be joining the show also. No word
as of yet, which actor will be playing the Bryce.

Syosset, NY has just filed a lawsuit against Williams, they claim she stopped
making payments on her used Bentley back in 2009, and now they want the car
back. They also want Williams to pay the outstanding balance on the vehicle-
$92,310.
A rep for Williams told TMZ,

Indeed, the singer has achieved in four years a level of commercial and critical success others have taken decades to garner.

Speaking at the Music Matters conference in Singapore this,
Carter discussed the star’s meteoric rise, opposition to her cause, as well as
her future plans.

“It’s less about Gaga than it really is what’s happening in the world right now as a whole,” Carter said when pushed to speak about the Jakarta protesters. ”This is a microcosm. It’s a generational divide. Jesus Christ got crucified. It happens.“

Diddy, and Will Smith, quickly insisted that Gaga would not be changing anything
about herself to fit markets like Jakarta, residents of which took offense to
some of the Grammy winner’s provocative lyrics and music videos. When asked if
Gaga would transform the “Born This Way Ball” in any way, Carter responded,
“we’ll skip them.”
However, Carter insisted that Gaga and her team had loved
every moment of their trip to Asia thus far, claiming “Asia is a very loyal
audience and an audience that really, really loves music….it’s not a passive
audience at all…we plan on spending a lot more time here.”
Though the manager wouldn’t confirm details about Gaga’s rumored fall LP, he spoke briefly on the singer’s contract with Interscope. ”We have I think three records left with Universal [Interscope]. There may be a [record label] system there by the time her deal’s up that looks more attractive.”

While we’re side-eyeing the suggestion that the crucifixion of Jesus has any parallels to GaGa and Jakarta, the interview otherwise made for an intriguing read.

Smartly, Carter isn’t buying into the hype he helped create.
Rather, he sees it for what it is – an amazing movement with the potential to
become legendary. As such in achieving this, it’s clear touring (aka honing her
craft while raking in that cha-ching) is rightly high on their agenda.
One can only hope that a new project – one more “accessible” and less contrived than ‘Born This Way’ – is released this year, though. For, as the critical and commercial response to many of ‘Born’s’ singles highlighted, the masses want a more refined and less preachy product from the paw purveyor. And with much today’s audience having the shortest of attention spans, leaving it any longer could prove commercially fatal.
