Monica’s "New Life" Album Release Party In

Mrs Monica Brown--flying solo--made a fab entrance at
her album release party in dark denim bootcut jeans and her silver metallic
Louboutin sandals. Great hair for the occasion too:

She hit the stage with her homies Young Jeezy &
Polow Da Don.
Her brother Montez and another one of her brothers
were also there to celebrate.
The 31-year old "It All Belongs To Me" singer looked
pretty as usual as she snapped pics for fans.
T.I. showed up at the end of the party to show some
love.
Akon's brother Bu popped up to party in his
Audi.
Mo's long time friends Jermaine Dupri and Bryan
Michael Cox were there to congratulate their girl.
Loves it. New Life is in stores now. By the way, Mo
tweeted that she spent the following night chatting up her sweetheart (hubby
Shannon Brown) all night while eating sweets like candy apples. How
sweet!....
However the sales are in for the CD and its not what I and she wasn't expecting.
According to Hits Daily Double, ‘Life’ is slated to premiere within the top 10 with sales of 55,000-65,000 – a noticeable dip from the debut of her last outing, ‘Still Standing’. Indeed, many will remember the ‘Everything To Me’ led set shifted 184,000 on its first week.
Needless to say, the figures aren’t at all the best. That said, longevity is key; and with 17 years under her belt, staying around and relevant is something Mo’ seems versed in. Here’s hoping aspects of the project are salvaged with solid single releases (‘Daddy’s Good Girl’, anyone?) and touring.
Personally I like this CD. It shows a mature side of Monica.. However maybe her fan base is still living in the past?
