Here Come the Pregnancy Rumors

This weeks National Enquirer claims Bobbi Kristina is pregnant with Nick Gordon's baby...

While Nick has publicly denied that they're a couple, they're telling friends that she's pregnant and they're planning to tie the know in a quickie Vegas wedding, sources say. "Krissi says that shortly before her mother's death and then after her funeral, she was nauseous a lot," said a family insider. "At first she thought it was due to stress, but the nausea lasted for more than a week so she secretly took a pregnancy test and it came back positive! Krissi says she's going to name the baby after her mother and she's also planning to marry Nick secretly in Vegas so the family can't interfere. She's madly in love with him, and she thinks her mother would have approved of their marriage because she loved Nick too."....Friends and family, especially her grandmother Cissy Houston, fear Nick is pushing her into marriage so he can live off her money, sources say. "Cissy thinks Nick will eventually cash in on Krissi's fortune and use it to continue living the luxury lifestyle he's enjoyed with her and Whitney," a family insider revealed.

Also Bobby Brown's sister Leolah Brown appeared on CNN with Dr. Drew making wild accusations about Ray J's relationship with Whitney Houston calling Ray J Whitney's "runner boy" for cocaine and claiming she saw Ray J leaving Whitney Houston's hotel hiding his face after her death...

Leolah told Dr. Drew,

When I first seen this and I saw the news I saw Ray J coming out of the hotel hiding his head being pushed into the car. I looked and I said why is he hiding? Why is he hiding his face? He’s always trying to show his face when he’s around Whitney. Why now? Why are you trying to hide now Ray J? I put it all together; when I first heard she passed away I said, “My God, somebody gave her a bad bag.” [Cocaine?] Yes, that was the first thing that came out of my mouth and then I saw Ray J and it all added up. So I am going to believe that Ray J who Whitney told me she had no relationship with. Now this is a young boy who’s running around telling people that he is a boyfriend of Whitney’s. I know clearly that he wasn’t. he was like she said, a runner boy. For some reason, he knows somebody that sells drugs and he was buying them for Whitney for what I know and giving her drugs.

I want to know why this boy was allowed to do that around Pat and around Gary. Around Pat mainly because you were with her all the time. For you to say that you don’t know what happened to her, I’m really disturbed by that.”

Report: Octavia Spencer Had Gastric Bypass Surgery

Octavia Spencer, now one of the most loved actresses in Hollywood, is not too ashamed to say she’s been dealing with weight issues for a while now.
The recently awarded Oscar winning actress actually lost a lot of weight after undergoing that risky gastric bypass surgery. But it seemed like losing more was not attainable because her diet reportedly hasn’t changed.
With her 5 ft 2 in frame, she weighs now 165lbs.

According to the National Enquirer, after having the surgery, she maintained a strict liquid diet before the bad eating habits began to creep back in.

“The problem is Octavia is always hungry, and she doesn’t want to eat a salad or fish for dinner,” the magazine’s source said. “Octavia likes her favorites – fried chicken, mashed potatoes and hot rolls with plenty of butter. Once you have that surgery, you can’t eat like that.”

The source went on to describe how the actress’ craving for fried chicken was once so extreme, she blended the meat so that she could enjoy it on her liquid diet.
“Soon she was doing that with everything she liked,” they said. “Before long, she was back on solid food and her stomach stretched out.”

According to the University of California San Francisco Medical Center, gastric bypass patients must consume nothing but clear liquids for the first week after surgery.
In the second to third week, they may start introducing thicker liquids to their diet, and then solid food.

The medical facility’s advice reads:
“Take only two to three bites at a time of any new food and then wait 10 minutes before consuming more … This is important because your stomach is very small, with a capacity of less than a 1/4 cup or 60 cubic centimeters, and the opening that allows passage of food out of your stomach is very narrow.”

Spencer’s rep has not responded to press requests for comment on the article, so far.

Tami Roman being sued by weave line

Every other week it seems as if someone is suing one of the ladies from Basketball Wives. This time it’s Tami Roman being hit with legal documents. Tami entered into an endorsement deal with Crème De La Crème Hair, a company that sells hair for weaves. Part of the endorsement agreement had Tami promoting the line on the VH1 show. The company is saying that Tami breached her agreement and has also started her own hair line.

Crème says part of the deal called for Roman to “have an appearance on VH1′s ‘Basketball Wives’ where she will discuss her hair line with the [Crème's] owners.”

But according to Crème, Tami bailed on every attempt they made to coordinate their appearance on the show.

The final straw for Crème came last month when Roman was supposed to promote Crème at a hair show in Atlanta. They claim Roman showed up as planned with a “BB Wives” film crew … but was there promoting her OWN line of hair in competition with Crème. They also claim Tami’s manager instructed the crew not to film anything Crème.

Crème is suing for damages in excess of $75,000 and they want the footage shot for “BB Wives” pulled from the show unless it’s edited to feature them.

Roman tells TMZ, “My responsibility is to my fans and supporters. I can no longer be affiliated with a company that does not uphold my standards with regards to quality business practices.”

What type of business practices came to light? I hope Tami had an out clause written into her contract. Tami sure has come a long way from her season 2 weave game. No matter what your finance level is, a bad weave is a bad weave. Still no explanation offered for this atrocity.

Kat Stacks Admits Lying on Soulja Boy About Cocaine

Notorious groupie Kat Stacks has been detained by U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement since November 2010

Since then Kat has been Tweeting from lock-up and a quick look at her Twitter time line shows Kat is not the same ruthless bitch she use to be. One of Kat's most famous betrayals was exposing rapper Soulja Boy's alleged coke use in a hotel room in Atlanta. [click here if you missed that].

Aretha Franklin Turns 70 With A BANG!

I'm late for this one! Music icon Aretha Franklin turns 70-years old Sunday. Aretha Franklin celebrated her 70th birthday with a swanky party at the Helmsley Park Lane Hotel in NYC. Same place she partied it up for her birthday last year.

She had a three-tier, lime-green birthday cake while the crowd serenaded her with Stevie Wonder’s version of “Happy Birthday.”

With guests like Diane Sawyer, Rev. Al Sharpton, Debra Lee and Clive Davis, the group had a sit-down dinner, saw a dance performance and enjoyed a mini-concert by jazz pianist Kris Bowers.

Aretha also celebrated a new record deal.
“I have re-signed with Clive Davis, so I’m recording with Clive again. She added, “We’re going to sit together and decide what it is we’re going to record.”

During the party, her longtime companion, Willie Wilkerson, was right by her side. And when asked whether marriage was still in the future, she said “We’ll see what happens.”

I wonder if Cissy was there?

Taking her female friend by the hand, the "Fireball" singer wore a black hat over her unique hair color while she window shopped and smiled for cameras in skinny jeans and an over-sized red sweater.

The newly dyed coif comes as Willow has been experimenting with her hair, as just last week she donned bright green locks in honor of St. Patrick's Day.

Monica & Brandy Exclusive V-103 Soul Session

I understand that ATL really represented during Monica & Brandy’s Soul Session. Among the Monica & Brandy fans were Atlanta’s own celebs, T.I. & Tiny, Kandi Burruss, Toya, Jazzy Pha, Anthony Antoine, Polow da’ Don, all were in the house to support this fascinating Duo. It’s been 14 years since the two released a single together (“The Boy is Mine”1998) Last night the two performed their first chart topping single together, along with their latest single, “It All Belongs To Me!” This had the crowd standing on their feet!! This was a show you didn’t want to miss.

Hosted by V103’s new Mid-day personality EGYPT, Monica & Brandy performed at a private location for their loyal fans and V103 listeners. Brandy started off with her signature song, “What About Us” that had the crowd roaring through the isles. She followed by a touching tribute to Whitney Houston of “I Will Always Love You” after sharing a Q & A with EGYPT and Fans, who asked about that Mystery Letter Whitney slid to her.

Monica soon followed with a performance of “Anything to Find You” which lead into her chart poppin hit “Angel of Mine”
The two closed with a very touching moment, paying homage to their mentor and sister, Whitney Houston performing “You Give Good Love”; and Monica, killed it at the end. You could definitely see that this was a touching moment for both of them.

Kelly Rowland Ditches Autotune & Returns To R&B On New Album

As the age-old adage goes, home is where the heart is. And home, for Kelly Rowland, seems to be R&B.
Having explored a range of sounds on last year’s ‘Here I Am’, the ‘Motivation’ singer is reportedly returning to her Urban roots on her fourth studio album.

Confirmation comes courtesy of hitmaker Lonny Bereal, who told Kempire Radio:

Kelly is returning to real R&B music. She’s going in so hard with the R&B. Of course, she is going to give the Pop crowd what they’re looking for. But, she really is returning to R&B on this album.

She has been singing so amazingly and her voice just so pure. Her delivery is real confident now. It’s definitely a new Kelly Rowland. She wouldn’t even let me put autotune on her voice this time round. She was like “no, I want people to really get me”. She’s killing everything from the uptempo’s to the ballads.

My involvement with the project has been amped up to be more like how I worked on ‘Ms. Kelly’. With the last album, I only really wrote ‘Keep It Between Us’ and vocal produced her on like 4 or 5 songs that I didn’t take the credit for. On this new album, I am actually vocal producing the entire project. The album is coming together amazingly and she’s sounding great. She has a new confidence and knows what she has now, so it’s sounding great.

Granted ‘Here I Am’ should have been her homerun, the success of ‘Motivation’ not only negates its so-so sales, it sets up a great springboard into better success with this project.

Here’s hoping it’s less ‘Trey Songz Urban’ and a more focused extension of what she served up last go round. Hence, no tacked on Dance tracks “for the sake of” or limited vocals in an attempt to garner radio play. For, as much as we enjoyed ‘Here I Am’, some tracks could easily have benefitted from Kelly blowing, rifting, ad-libbing. As, when used effectively, it shows the kind of vocal character needed to stand out from the pack.

In any case, “R&B Kelly” is one we can’t wait to hear more from!

Venus Williams relaunches her EleVen collection in Miami with Gabrielle Union & Serena

Venus Williams recently held a garden party to relaunch her EleVen by Venus Williams collection. The collection is inspired by the upcoming Sony Ericsson Open tennis tournament.

The event was held at the private ocean-side tennis courts of the Bath Club in Miami Beach sister Serena and Gabrielle Union were just two of the guests for the intimate event.

MTV2 has been promoting a Sucker Free countdown paying tribute to Biggie Smalls to be co-hosted by Lil Kim and Lil Cease this Sunday night, but doesn't MTV know ever since Cease testified against Kim in the perjury trial that sent her to jail for a year that she doesn't have anything to do with him anymore [click here if you missed that]?

Well, Kim made it clear the bad blood still boils and that she would not be participating in the countdown.

Well isn't this sweet. Jason and his Sparkle star girlfriend Jordin hit up Celebrity Fight Night XIII at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa. And Jordin looked hot in her leopard maxi dress. Jason, who got some styling tips from June Ambrose this season on her show, made the most of his neck brace. And the two, who have been dating during Jason's "It Girl" remix recording, stayed hands on all-night holding hands on the carpet:

MC Lyte Reacts To Tyler, The Creator's "Dyke" Lyric

The legendary emcee MC Lyte reacted to a perceived diss from Odd Future's Tyler, The Creator. Tyler used "Rella" on OFWGKTA's new retail release The OF Tape, Vol. 2 to say, "Let’s get it poppin’ like MC Lyte around some dykes." The 1980s alum said

"I definitely was insulted. First off, it’s totally new school. [Tyler, The Creator] has yet to understand [that] although he can have quite a bit of followers and fans, it does take a moment from one’s entry in the business for them to really understand what it is that we do for other people. And how we inspire them, and how we influence them, and how we can literally make or break another human being’s day. And with all that I’ve done throughout my years in inspiring generations of people, I think it very irresponsible of him.

With saying that, we do have a generation that is quite irresponsible when it comes to what it is that they’ll say [and] their behavior. [But still], it took me by surprise. One, because I know of people who know him and kind of hold him in high esteem. [But] from that action alone, I don’t know that I feel it worthy for me to address it in any other format, outside of this. But, yeah, I thought it was very careless." Lyte, who has never confirmed rumors of homosexuality, also spoke about the fact that Tyler's bandmate Syd The Kyd, is openly lesbian.
