Manning In..Tebow Out?

In a two-week saga packed with more drama than any reality TV show, Peyton Manning has found his new home.

The future hall of fame quarterback, who turns 36 this week, was plenty busy after the emotional March 7 announcement that he was getting dumped by the Indianapolis Colts, where Manning has spent the last 14 years.

What followed visits to several NFL teams, each eager for a piece of the veteran quarterback.
The San Francisco 49ers and the Tennessee Titans were the other top finalists in the race to sign Manning.

But ESPN reported that the four-time NFL MVP was heading to the Mile-High City, instructing his agent to ink a deal with the Broncos.

But the addition of Manning in Denver may spell the end for Tim Tebow.
The team is now reportedly looking to trade Tebow, who energized the Broncos in leading them to the playoffs last season despite his uneven play - as soon as the Manning deal is done.
Those in wonder about where Manning would hang his helmet can now do the same for Tebow, as Denver looks to send him packing.
Tebow created a fan frenzy last year when he led the Broncos to eight straight wins, including several late in the game. 

One of two other teams considered finalists for in the race to sign Manning, the Tennessee Titans, released a statement Monday saying they were out of the picture.
'I want to thank the whole organization for their efforts in trying to sign Peyton and also to Peyton for the time he put into the process,' Titans owner Bud Adams said.

Mr Adams added: 'Peyton called me this morning to inform me of his decision and obviously I am disappointed, because I thought we would be a perfect fit.'
The Manning contest had fuelled drama in the football world, and resonated through several teams and other quarterbacks.

After Manning said no to the quarterback-desperate Miami Dolphins last week, the team set its sights on Green Bay back-up Matt Flynn, who passed up the Dolphins’ offer and signed with the Seattle Seahawks instead.
Miami is now courting free agent Alex Smith who played last year with the San Francisco 49ers, another Manning finalist.

Manning's apparent move comes less than two weeks after he was cut loose by the Indianapolis Colts, who released him rather than pay a $28million contract bonus.

The Colts' decision ended a 14-year alliance between the team that drafted Manning No. 1 overall and the leader who took Indianapolis from gridiron obscurity to triumph after he led the team to the 2007 Super Bowl title and a second appearance in the NFL championship game three years later.

Viola Davis To Portray Barbara Jordan On Film

Oscar nominated actress Viola Davis is on board to bring the real life story of trailblazing congresswoman and civil rights icon Barbara Jordan to the big screen. According to “Variety,” “The Root DC,” “The Help” star and her husband Julius Tennon will produce the movie through their production company, JuVee Productions. Davis is reportedly eyeing the lead role. The film will be based on Mary Beth Rogers’ book on Jordan, “Barbara Jordan: American Hero.” Jordan was the first African-American elected to the Texas senate in 1966 and the first southern black female elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1972. Her moving keynote address at the 1976 Democratic Convention remains one of the most celebrated speeches in modern history. Jordan died in 1996 at the age of 59.

OWN Restructuring : Oprah Forced To Layoff 30 Staffers also The Lady Gaga Interview

It looks as if the cancellation of Rosie O’Donnell’s OWN talk show was just the beginning of cutbacks at the Oprah Winfrey Network. The cable channel is laying off 30 staffers in what’s being described as a restructuring of the network’s operations in Los Angeles and New York. In a press release Winfrey said as CEO she has a responsibility to “chart the course for long-term success for the network” and that the layoffs are a “necessary next step.”

Winfrey took over as CEO and Chief Creative Officer of OWN eight months ago. Having struggled in the ratings during its first several months on air, OWN has been enjoying an upswing since September with Winfrey’s own series, “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” leading the charge. The show took the number one spot among all cable networks with its broadcast of Oprah’s interview with Whitney Houston’s family on March 11th. OWN announced the cancellation of “The Rosie Show” last Friday citing flagging ratings.

Oprah and Lady GaGa recently sat down for an episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter for an intament understanding os what be going threw the pop star’s mind. In the interview Gaga opened up talking about several topics, including her desire for her own Little Monsters, how she deals (or doesn’t) with the media, and the one thing that scares her.

Clearly they had no idea their daughter would go on to take the red carpet in an egg or sport a lobster headpiece.

Teyana Taylor Involved In Fight With Stripper At LIV Nightclub

‘It’s about to be a Girl Fight’
It was on and popping at Club Liv in Miami. The club was packed out for a performance by Mary J. Blige with appearances by Fabolous, Wale and Meek Millz but things took a turn for the absolute worse when singer/actress Teyana Taylor got into a fist fight with a stripper name Skrawberry.

According to eye witnesses, shortly after Mary J. Blige sung Happy Birthday to Queen Latifah, Skrawberry approached the table that Teyana was sitting at and the two exchanged words. As Teyana bent down to put down her drink, she was sucker punched and all hell broke loose. Teyana’s crew jumped in and it turned into a full on brawl before Skrawberry was thrown out of the club.

An hour later, as Teyana and her crew were leaving LIV, the stripper’s sister ran up from behind her and grabbed Teyana’s hair and another fight ensued. Two guys that jumped in the melee ended up busting through and shattering a nearby window at the club.

Jennifer Lopez is getting Married?, or at least that is what Roberto Cavalli says!

Did Roberto Cavalli unwittingly expose Jennifer Lopez' plans to marry Casper Smart?
It looks like Italian designer Roberto Cavalli just broke the news, tweeting about how the star called him personally to request a custom-made wedding gown — and although the tweet was removed, the news that the singer is getting ready to walk down the aisle with her much younger boyfriend is now out there!

Jennifer Lopez seemed to rebound quickly after she split with former hubby Marc Anthony, but while her relationship with 24-year-old Casper Smart seemed like a fling, it now looks like JLo is getting ready to walk down the aisle with her much younger man — and one of her favorite designers, Roberto Cavalli, was the one to break the news!

Cavalli tweeted on Mar. 11 that Jennifer called him and requested a special dress for her next wedding — and this request isn’t coming from just anywhere, the Italian, high-fashion designer is a respected member of the fashion industry. Not only does he have a solid reputation, but he also has a major fan base — and JLo is at the top of that list! From his animal prints to his sexy silhouettes, it’s no surprise the curvaceous singer is such a fan — and that she wants to wear one of his creations on her special day.

Judging by the fact that the tweet has since been removed, we doubt the singer wanted the news broadcasted to the world. Last week there were a slew of rumors, (that were all denied), that the couple planned to wed — although before JLo says ‘I Do’ again, she’ll have to finalize her divorce with her former hubby first!

The designer’s reps are saying Cavalli’s handle was hacked and the tweet was false — however it all seems very strange that they didn’t take to twitter to quickly dissolve the situation before the rumor started to spread. The tweet was also written in a very cryptic manner. Is it completely untrue or are they trying to cover up the fact that he spilled the beans?

While some may say it’s ridiculous to think that JLo would tie the knot, (for the fourth time), with the dancer, she does fall quickly and almost always seems to have a main man in her life. It looks like JLo and Casper are much more serious than we thought — but I doubt Marc Anthony would be happy to hear the news.

2012 BET’S CELEBRATION OF GOSPEL

BET’s Celebration of Gospel 2012 hosted by Steve Harvey, was taped last evening at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. The two-hour special will air on April 1st, marking the first time in its 12 year history it broadcasts during the Easter Season.

The show will feature the likes of Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, The Rance Allen Group, James Fortune and FIYA, Faith Evans, Johnny Gill, Ledisi , Ricky Diallrd and New G and Kelly Price. There will be special honors to Whitney Houston and Mahalia Jackson.

Kareem “Biggs” Burke Pleads Guilty To Drug Charges

North Bergen rap mogul Kareem “Biggs” Burke pleaded guilty Thursday to federal drug charges, admitting he plotted to sell more than 100 kilograms of marijuana.

Burke, 38, a co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, which launched the career of the superstar rapper Jay-Z, admitted his guilt before U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain in Manhattan.

Burke pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to distribute, and to possess with intent to distribute, more than 100 kilograms of marijuana, in connection with his participation in a massive pot trafficking ring. As a result of the plea, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and up to 40 years in prison when he is sentenced May 18.

Under his plea agreement, Burke is also required to forfeit $660,000, his residence, $15,000 in cash that was seized from his home when he was arrested last year, and his 2010 BMW.

Royce Reed Fears Losing Custody Of Son To Dwight Howard, Plus Dwight Has How Many Kids?

We may tune in to ‘Basketball Wives’ each week to see the pending drama between the former wives and girlfriends of NBA ballers but it seems the real sip tea worthy drama happens off camera and never make it to TV.

Royce Reed, who has been pretty much low key this season, is going through some crazy drama off screen. Her baby’s father, NBA star Dwight Howard, has made her life a living hell off camera after winning a 500,000 judgement against her last year and freezing her bank accounts after she violated a court order that prohibited her from talking about him in the press. Now, he’s currently battling her in court in an effort to get custody of her son because he says that Royce is making it increasingly difficult for him to see his child.
If Dwight Howard gets custody of his child, (similar to Dwyane Wade) being a single father will help add to his already wholesome image in the media. However Royce Reed’s son isn’t Dwight Howard’s only child;

He has a daughter Jayde (born in December 2010) and a daughter Layla (born in October 2010).

According to Black Sports Online, there are possibly two other kids out there that aren’t being acknowledged publicly by Dwight.
Although he has these other kids (that the media doesn’t know about), none of the kids mothers faces the same scrutiny and drama that Royce Reed is facing. Dwight was obviously livid when Royce decided to join Basketball Wives, and things may get even more worse for Royce since she’s been tweeting photos of her child with her new man ‘Dezmon Briscoe’, who plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 

In 2009, Dwight sued Royce for $142,000 ($500 for each of her twitter followers) after she broke a court order that prevented her from posting pics of their son online. The year prior he had sued her for 9.2 million, claiming she bad-mouth him on a gossip site. [This guy obviously has a lot of time and a lot of money to spend on lawyers]

Meanwhile, Royce believes she is getting the short end of the stick this time around in their custody battle because the judge allegedly has a bias against ‘baby mamas’ especially those who have baby’s out of wedlock with NBA stars. She also fears he will side with Dwight because of his ‘celebrity’, so she’s looking to get the judge removed from their case. The judge previously awarded Dwight custody without letting Royce present her side then delayed his decision and Dwight’s lawyer is listed as an endorser of the judge on the judge’s website.

Rap sensation Drake has opened up about his complicated relationship with his father, insisting they have patched up their differences after his troubled upbringing.

The Best I Ever Had music star was raised by his mother after his parents divorced when he was five, and recalls occasionally waiting in vain for his father to visit him.

However, his relationship with his dad, Dennis Graham, is now mended after Drake absolved him of any parenting responsibilities.

The star tells GQ magazine, "Me and my dad are friends. We're cool. I'll never be disappointed again, because I don't expect anything anymore from him. I just let him exist, and that's how we get along. We laugh. We have drinks together. But I spent too many nights looking by the window, seeing if the car was going to pull up. And the car never came."
