Following the hasan chops at the judges table on X-Factor, that saw the firing of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, Janet Jackson's name began floating around as a possible replacement. At the height of the rumor frenzy Janet seemed to fan the flames herself, answering coyly when asked about the rumors during a talk show appearance on Anderson Cooper 360 .Welp, forgetaboutit. Janet says it just wouldn't be possible...

Janet tells The Insider she's,
"very flattered that X Factor let me know that I was being considered for next season, but it just wouldn't be possible."

FHM Pulls ‘Racist’ Magazine Cover

The March 2012 cover of FHM Philippines, the country’s top-selling men’s mag, a light-skinned model emerges from a group of black models accompanied by the caption, “Stepping Out of the Shadows.”

According to the New York Times, the photo of swimsuit-clad Filipino actress Bela Padilla immediately met backlash from readers and social media users who argue the photo is racist and insensitive. “Seriously, did you guys not sense how racist this concept was?” writes one user on the magazine’s Facebook page.
The problem? The cover showed a fair-skinned Padilla surrounded by ominous looking black models with the tagline, “Stepping Out of the Shadows.”.

The outrage prompted local publisher Summit Media to issue an apology, scrap the edition and promise to print a new cover featuring Padilla. “In our pursuit to come up with edgier covers, we will strive to be more sensitive,” the company, which publishes more than 20 magazines in the Philippines, wrote in its statement.

Kim Kardashian and “Real Housewife” NeNe Leakes Hit Up S.T.K. Steak House Atlanta

NeNe Leakes of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” hit the town with Kim Kardashian. Kim Kardashian is in Atlanta filming a guest spot on “Drop Dead Diva,” the Lifetime show filmed in Peachtree City and the two tweeted about their plans to meet up.The two reality stars had dinner at STK, a swank new steakhouse in Midtown. As you’d expect both were dressed to impress. NeNe was rocking her short blond ‘do and wore a black leather jacket and distressed jeans while Kim wore her tresses long and was sporting a pair of black Christian Louboutins.

NeNe wanted a sweet drink so the STK mixology department delivered the Strawberry Cobbler, a signature cocktail. Both ladies had the tuna tartare with salad and orders of the Shrimp Rice Krispies, another signature item (not actually made with Rice Krispies.)

NeNe has been expanding her repertoire, appearing not only on the “Housewives” but “Celebrity Apprentice,” and she filmed a guest role on “Glee.” Kim has her fashion line and a slew of reality show spin-offs (including one featuring her wedding, prior to a marriage that lasted 72 days). So maybe the ladies were swapping notes on cultivating ubiquity.
“Just wrapped my first day on set in Atlanta shooting ‘Drop Dead Diva!’ Getting ready for dinner with my favorite housewife,” Kim tweeted Wednesday evening. NeNe responded, “On my way.”

Later the two swapped nice messages about their outing.

“At dinner with my favorite Dash Doll Kim Kardashian; she is so sweet,” NeNe tweeted around 11:30 p.m.

“I’m still laughing out loud! Too much fun!” Kim responded.
Kim’s here to film a guest role on “Drop Dead Diva,” the Lifetime show filmed in Peachtree City. Far as we know the two are just out having dinner, sans Bravo or E! cameras,

Album Cover: Nicki Minaj – ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’

April 3rd will mark the release of ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded‘, Nicki Minaj‘s latest LP.
So, as to whet the appetites of her loyal ‘Barbz‘ saw the release of its explosive front cover.

In line with her light, bright and dangerous theme, the cover’s debut follows the release of budding hit ‘Starships‘ and fan favorite ‘Roman Reloaded’.

While some may question its overtly colorful look, we can’t but commend it.

Because, there is no doubt that its ‘popping’ aesthetic will make it impossible to ignore once it hits outlets, which is- of course- the ultimate goal.

Here’s to hoping ‘Roman Reloaded’ lives up to it’s enormous hype and cements her status as Pop’s most exciting debutante, by way of sales and sound.

IT'S OFFICIAL: Amber Rose overjoyed to be engaged to Wiz Khalifa

Rapper Wiz Khalifa and his model girlfriend Amber Rose have got engaged.

The Black and Yellow singer took to Twitter to let his fans know he had proposed to his girlfriend of a year.

Wiz, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz, tweeted: ‘She Said Yes!!!’

Amber, 28, also didn’t waste any time in posting a snap of her gorgeous ring to her own page and said she was the ‘happiest woman in the world.’

Folks came out for the tapping of BET's 2012 "Rip The Runway" mixing fashion and music.

Angela Simmons donned a blue dress with a black leather jacket on the red carpet.

Diggy Simmons, B.oB. and Wale also walked the red carpet.

Jeremih kept it simple with a black and white theme.

Robin Thicke also hit the stage and performed.

Wale and Jeremih later rocked the stage as models (showcasing the hottest fashions) strutted during their performance.

Selita Ebanks (who hosted the show) gave a little Angelina Jolie with her leg stance.

"The Game" star Pooch Hall (who posed with Stephen Hill) co-hosted the show with Selita.

Estelle wore a sharp red suit (and she later performed).

Emily B was there rocking her furry black slingbacks.

Guyana walked the red carpet with NFL player Bryant Mckinnie.

Designer Monif C was also among the folks whose fashions were showcased.

If Whitney Houston’s heirs are counting on royalties from her record company Sony, they may soon feel like paupers.
On Wednesday, music-industry blogger Wayne Rosso quoted a label executive “familiar with Sony’s accounting” who said the late singer’s estate probably won’t see any royalty checks from her record label “in our lifetime” — and maybe longer — thanks in part to the number of advances and loans she took from the $100 million deal she cut with Sony Music in 2001.

Report: Demi Moore Checks Out of Cirque Lodge

Sounding as if she's moved on to the next phase in her quest for mental and physical well-being, Demi Moore has reportedly checked out of a Utah based treatment center.

According to E! Online, the "Ghost" actress recently departed the Cirque Lodge facility after having checked in to the rehab center in late January.

As for her current whereabouts, the E! insider dishes that Demi in "on vacation" at an undisclosed location.
"She's in no rush to get back to L.A.," the E! source tells. "She's on total lockdown and only talking to a small group of people."
The news comes as Moore's new movie "L.O.L.: Laughing Out Loud" just hit theaters in Singapore while it's set for a limited Stateside theatrical release on May 4th.

Kobe Bryant Reveals His Face Mask

NBA superstar Kobe Bryant fractured his nose and suffered a concussion during the 2012 All Star game Bryant after taking a hard foul from Dwyane Wade during the third quarter of the All-Star game Sunday. 
Bryant sustained a broken nose and a concussion on the play and received extensive evalutions before being cleared to play on Wednesday. Bryant did not miss a game after suffering his injuries.

More reality madness: Reality show Shahs of Sunset follows the antics of affluent Persian socialites in LA

A new reality show is set to do to a group of Iranian immigrants what Keeping up With The Kardashians did to a wealthy LA family.

It also appears to be very similar, on first appearances, to other aspects of the Kardashian franchise - from the long, dark locks to the lavish lifestyles, Shahs of Sunset follows the antics of six 30-something 'Persian socialites' living around Sunset Boulevard.

The brainchild of Ryan Seacrest - he of Kardashians and Sasha Baron-Cohen's Oscars ashes stunt fame - the successful producer is keen to focus on their good values, rather than the flashiness and bling that have come to characterise many well-heeled Iranians in California. 
'The great thing about a show like this,' he told The Daily Beast, 'is that it promotes something I believe in, which is friendship and family. We like shows about that.'

Cast members from the area of LA known as Tehrangeles, agree, saying that the show is about friendship and are excited, as one put it, about 'the impact it's going to have on people to see us Persians and learn something new.'

They might be on to something - many of the cultural stereotypes of Iranians seen in the U.S. media hinge upon 'the terrorist Arab archetype or Persian archetype,' Thaddeus Russell, author of a renegade history of the United States, told The Daily Beast.
Drawing upon the strong ties LA has to Iran - it became a new home to many exiled families after the 1979 revolution - the show is also being compared to Jersey Shore. But its proponents say the cast is about much more than than heels, lap dogs and hair extensions.

A dapper-looking moustachioed man by the name of Reza Farahan believes that he is an 'anomaly' in that he is a gay Persian.

'We are much more sophisticated [than Jersey Shore's cast],' he told Daily Beast. 'We come from different backgrounds of lawyers and doctors. Those people on Jersey Shore are hooking up every night. They have a 'smoosh' room. They drink pickle juice. They have nothing. They are incredibly trashy. We are not like that.'

He says he wouldn't change a thing about his background and professes to be a great sports fan.

Here’s the scoop via Life & Style: “he’s been spotted around Malibu with a new Kim look-alike — who, an insider tells Life & Style, is “a new girl he’s been seeing.” Aside from the look-alike he was with on Feb. 26 (pictured in the photo above). “Reggie likes hanging out with Kim, but he’s not into all the publicity,” a pal tells Life & Style. “He’s pretty much told told her, ‘I don’t love you like that anymore; we’re just friends.’” Reggie sure does have a type doesn’t he??

George Clinton needs $50,000 to save his Florida recording studio after a recent court decision stripped him of all rights to music he recorded between 1976 and 1983.

George is using the fundraising website IndieGoGo to collect donations for the "restoration and preservation of original recordings, as well as urgent repairs and upgrades to the Parliament-Funkadelic family recording studio".
