WELL THE SEQUEL TO
INDEPENDANCE DAY IS SET! EXCEPT FOR ONE THING…..WILL
SMITH!!
Will Smith Demanding Big Bucks for Independence Day Sequels
Will Smith Demanding Big Bucks for Independence Day Sequels
The producers of Independence Day are ready to make
two sequels and the only hold up is Will Smith's asking
price...
From Vulture
Mag
Whether Will Smith will be back to
to welcome more aliens to Earth as Captain Stephen Hiller is still a question
mark: Fox started working on structuring a deal to sign him back in early 2009,
but the world's last bankable action star was seeking $50 million to shoot both
ID2 and ID3 back-to-back, and Fox balked at so large a price tag in combination
with Roland Emmerich’s own hefty salary demands to direct. “The delay wasn’t
about whether they both wanted to make the movie,” explains one insider, “It had
more to do with ‘Whose d*ick is bigger?’"
Nothing has been yet settled,
because almost a year ago all concerned parties elected to retreat and focus
instead on first getting the scripts right; they're expected to be delivered to
Fox by early to mid-December of this year at the latest. Insiders tell us that
Fox is willing to make the movies without Smith, if necessary, but he is what
helps make the films a sure thing: Can the stuck-in-neutral movie business, let
alone Fox, afford to lose him?
“It’s complicated because of where
and how [Smith] wants to shoot; he wants to be close to home, to the kids,"
explains our spy, adding, "There’s also been talks about him wanting to include
Jada and maybe even Willow in the movie, too. [Sony] just managed to get through
the mire that was Men in Black 3, and so they’re just trying to avoid anything
remotely similar. They want the story straight, and want Will to sign off on it,
totally, before they proceed.”
Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi: Vegan Restauranteurs
Looking to broaden their collective
portfolio, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are embarking into the world of
restaurant ownership.
According to a report, the talk show queen and the “Arrested Development” babe are investors in a new vegan eatery set to open in the San Fernando Valley.
As an added bonus, Ellen and Portia’s wedding day caterer Tal Ronnen has signed on to design the menu, which will be comprised of all non-animal ingredients.

Ellen has been a passionate vegan for years, telling Katie Couric in 2008, "I forced myself to watch a documentary called Earthlings that's inside footage of factory farms and dairy farms. You see that and go 'I can't participate in that. I can't be a part of something that is suffering.' Fifty billion animals a year are killed and I think we all fool ourselves that it's a quick death, and it's a very disturbing reality."

Angela And Vanessa Simmons SHAKE IT UP At Millions Of Milkshakes
Over in Los Angeles, Vanessa and
Angela Simmons created their own concoctions at Millions Of Milkshakes. See
photos of the whipped cream fun inside.....
Pastry owners Vanessa and Angela
Simmons created their own signature milkshakes at Millions Of Milkshakes in West
Hollywood, California. They created the "A La Pastry" shake. And the name was
chosen by one of their twitter followers who submitted the name to the “Name
that Shake” campaign.
The tasty creation includes cookie
dough, vanilla protein, non-dairy ice cream, whipped cream, oreos and chocolate
syrup. Yum!
Vanessa rocked her pink and green
top with black jeggings and some killer platforms.
Meanwhile, Angela paid homage to
Mickey Mouse with her cute top.
The fab sisters didn't waste
anytime getting busy in the kitchen.
Earlier in the day, Angela
tweeted,
Who's going to meet me at millions
of milkshakes in west hollyood today at 1 to 4 pm today ? Come out and support a
good cause! :)
A portion of Angela and Vanessa’s
milkshake sales will benefit the ASPCA Association by raising funds and
awareness for the organization.

Sesame Street... Pakistan style (that is, no Big Bird but Haseen O Jameel the crocodile)
Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch are
nowhere in sight. But there's Elmo. And new creatures too, like Baily, a kindly
donkey who loves to sing, and Haseen O Jameel, a vain crocodile who lives at the
bottom of a well.
Sesame Street is coming to Pakistan but not as generations of Americans know it.
The TV show has a new cast of local characters led by a vivacious six-year-old girl named Rani who loves cricket and traditional Pakistani music.
Her sidekick, Munna, is a five-year-old boy obsessed with numbers and banging away on Pakistani bongo drums, or tabla.
Washington also hopes the program will increase tolerance at a time when the influence of radical views is growing.

Washington also hopes the program will increase tolerance at a time when the influence of radical views is growing.
'One of the key goals of the show
in Pakistan is to increase tolerance toward groups like women and ethnic
minorities,' said Larry Dolan, who was the head education officer for the U.S.
Agency for International Development in Pakistan until very recently.
The show, which started filming last week and will air at the end of November, was jointly developed by Sesame Workshop, the creator of the American series, and Rafi Peer Theater Workshop, a group in the Pakistani city of Lahore that has been staging puppet shows for more than three decades.
The show, which started filming last week and will air at the end of November, was jointly developed by Sesame Workshop, the creator of the American series, and Rafi Peer Theater Workshop, a group in the Pakistani city of Lahore that has been staging puppet shows for more than three decades.
The American version of Sesame Street first aired in 1969, and the U.S. government has worked with the company since then to produce shows in about 20 foreign countries, including Muslim nations like Bangladesh and Indonesia.
Perhaps nowhere else are the stakes as high as in Pakistan. The U.S. is worried that growing radicalisation could one day destabilise the nuclear-armed country.
Washington has committed to spend $7.5 billion in civilian aid in Pakistan over five years, despite accusations that the country is aiding insurgents in neighbouring Afghanistan.
CRICKET, PIGTAILS AND A MAGNIFYING
GLASS: MEET RANI
Rani, the new program's star,
sports pigtails and a blue and white school uniform. Her innate curiosity is
exemplified by the magnifying glass she often carries and her endless stream of
questions.
She is captain of the school cricket team and plays the harmonium, an instrument used to perform Qawwali music.
The creators chose Rani as the lead character to emphasise the importance of sending girls to school, something that doesn't often happen in Pakistan's conservative, male-dominated society, said Faizaan Peerzada, the chief operating officer of Rafi Peer and one of several family members who run the organisation.
'It makes the girl stand equally with the boy, which is very clear,' said Peerzada.
Rani and Munna are joined by Baily the donkey, Haseen O Jameel the crocodile, and Baaji, a spirited woman who serves as a mother figure for the others.

Elmo, the lovable, red, child monster, is the only traditional Sesame Street character on the show, which is called Sim Sim Hamara, or Our Sim Sim.
The action centres around a mock-up of a Pakistani town, complete with houses, a school and Baaji's dhaba, a small shop and restaurant found in many places in the country. The town also includes a large Banyan tree, known as the wisdom tree in South Asia, in the shade of which the children often play.
Given the intense ethnic and
regional divisions within Pakistan, the creators tried to build a set that was
recognizable to Pakistani children but did not stand out as being from one part
of the country.
For similar reasons, the skin colors of the puppets range from very light brown to orange.
A total of 78 episodes will be aired in Pakistan's national language, Urdu, over the next three years, as well as 13 in each of the four main regional languages, Baluchi, Pashtu, Punjabi and Sindhi.
The shows will appear on Pakistan state television, and the producers hope they will reach 3 million children, one million of whom are out of school.

They also plan radio programs and 600 live puppet performances they hope will reach millions more kids and parents.
Each episode will be based around a word and a number, like the U.S. version, and will tackle general themes like friendship, respect and valuing diversity.
This last theme is particularly important in Pakistan, where Islamist extremists often target minority religious sects and others who disagree with their views.
'There are many situations where we coexist peacefully, and that's what we want to focus on,' said Imraan Peerzada, the show's head writer.
The program will feature holidays
celebrated by Muslims, Christians and Hindus in an attempt to get children to
respect the traditions of different religious groups in Pakistan, said
Peerzada.
American officials stressed they were not involved in creating content for the show. The U.S. is extremely unpopular in Pakistan, and suspicions run high about American manipulation in the country.
The creators realize that there is some risk of militant backlash. Events held by Rafi Peer have been attacked several times in the past, including a world arts festival in 2008 that was hit by three small bomb blasts that wounded at least half a dozen people.

YES SABATHIA!.. CC
Sabathia returns to Yankees on 5-year, $122-million deal, decides not to opt for
free agency

Ace left-hander does not opt out, signs extension to stay in Bronx
Now that CC is back, the Yankees
can win with this team
Three years ago, the Yankees had to go all-out to get CC Sabathia to move to New York, handing him a massive seven-year, $161 million contract.
Monday, Sabathia made the decision to stay here even longer. The Yankees and their ace reached agreement on a new five-year, $122 million deal with a vesting option for a sixth year that can bring the total value of the contract to $147 million, prompting Sabathia not to exercise the opt-out clause in his old contract.

The Yankees and their ace reached agreement on a new five-year, $122 million deal with a vesting option for a sixth year that can bring the total value of the contract to $147 million, prompting Sabathia not to exercise the opt-out clause in his old contract.
“I was confident that we would get
to an agreement,” Sabathia said. “I wanted to stay here. I want to be here. I
love it here. I love pitching here. I love being a part of the Yankees
organization and I’m just so happy to be able to come to an agreement.”
The new deal essentially boils down to a one-year extension worth $30 million, plus the vesting option for 2017 that could add another $25 million to the total.
The option becomes guaranteed if Sabathia does not finish the 2016 season on the disabled list because of a left shoulder injury, does not spend more than 45 days of 2016 on the DL with a left shoulder injury or does not make six or more relief appearances in 2016 because of shoulder problems.

“CC is the ace of our pitching staff, a leader in our clubhouse and a driving force for the Yankees in our community,” general manager Brian Cashman said in a statement. “He is exactly the type player and person that Yankees fans and this organization can be proud of. We are excited that he will be wearing the pinstripes for many years to come.”
Had Sabathia opted out, he would
have immediately become the top pitcher available on the free-agent market, but
in the end, his desire to stay in New York led to him staying put.
“I didn’t want to be a part of being a free agent and doing everything, opting out and doing all that stuff,” Sabathia said. “It was clear to everybody that I wanted to be a Yankee, wanted to end my career as a Yankee. Hopefully I can do that.”

Terrell Owens Wants His Child Support Lowered due to non employment
Of course he does. Unemployed
professional football player Terrell Owens ran a workout clinic last week at a
high school in Calabasas and not a single team showed up to scout him, so it's
not surprising that there's going to have to be some cuts. So before his mom,
brother or cousins have to get jobs, T.O. is starting with child
support...
From TMZ
Owens, who is currently not an NFL roster, wants to reduce the payments he's making to baby mama Monique Reynolds ... because, according to his rep, he's simply not getting paid these days.

The rep says Owens wants to make the payments a little more
reasonable, adding, "His child support payments should mirror his income today
and not be based on his income from over four years ago."
Owens was due in court in Northern California for child support modification hearing on October 24, but didn't show up. His rep says his lawyers tried to reschedule, but lawyers for Reynolds refused.

Peep the Twitter squash below:
The uproar started last week
after Gangster Boo questioned the Oakland rapper's image calling her a “wigger”
in an interview.
The White Girl Mob member apparently fired back at Boo with the Tweets that questioned GB's relevance even referring to the shirts that Boo was sporting in her interview, tweeting, “Hope them shirts you selling is at least helping you pay your rent.”

'I have found it draining at
times,' he told Heat magazine.
Fight: Kelly said she was annoyed when Tulisa said on last week's live show that her act Misha B was 'being mean to certain contestants'
'Everyone is fiercely protective [of their acts], so it gets quite heated. It’s real. I don’t get involved in any backstage gossip.'
He added: 'There’s nothing staged on the judges’ panel exchanges. It’s always real.'
And he appears to be on Tulisa's side, telling the magazine: 'Tulisa is brilliant. To come onto the panel as a complete beginner and put those groups together like she did, shows a real eye for talent.
'I hope one of her groups gets through to the final few. They’re very lucky to have her – she spends a lot of time and energy on them.'
On Louis, Gary reiterated what he said last week.

DWYANE WADE FEATURED IN GQ MAGAZINE
Miami Heat basketball star Dwyane
Wade talks to GQ about the evolution of his personal style in November issue of
the magazine. If you’ve been watching D-Wade evolve over the past few years,
you’ve noticed that he’s been stepping up his style game. What GQ dig most about
D-Wade, is the way he takes a simple suit to bolder, more personal places with a
few trademark styling moves. Just how did the Miami Heat superstar become one of
the game’s most stylish players? GQ sets out to uncover the mystery, one of the
things D-Wade reveals, is that he paints his toenails
black.
On Fitting In
Three years ago I was like, man, I kind of want to paint my toenails black. At first I thought, nah, I can’t do that. They’re going to kill me. But eventually I decided to try it. Later I was on vacation in the Bahamas with LeBron, and when he saw my toes he was like, something is seriously wrong with you. But eventually Bron was like, you know what? You’re crazy, but that’s just you. When I first got into the league, I tried to fit in. Now I don’t care.

“In Living Color” Returns Spring 2012
Many of us growing up watching “In
Living Color” during the early 90s, now we will get another chance to. FOX
announced they will bring back the comedy show in the Spring of 2012. The new
show will have two TV specials and will be hosted by the creator, executive
producer, and sometimes actor, Keenan Ivory Wayans. “In Living Color” first
aired on Fox on April 15th, 1990 and ended on May 19th, 1994. The show was
heavily written by the Wayans brothers (Keenan, Damon, Shawn, and Marlon) and
sister Kim.
The show was a big break for the
Wayans, along with Jaime Foxx, David Alan Grier, Jennifer Lopez, Rosie Perez,
and Jim Carey. The new show will bring on a “new cast of fresh, young talent, as
well as musical performances by special guests” the network dished out. No air
dates have not been announced yet.
