BEBE & CECE WINANS HONORED WITH A STAR ON THE HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME!

The brother-and-sister, Gospel singing duo BeBe & CeCe Winans received the 2,452nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today (only the fourth Gospel act in history to do so), honoring a career that has brought them seven chart-topping albums and singles and a combined 15 Grammy Awards.

BeBe & CeCe Winans are the seventh and eighth of the ten children of gospel singers Mom and Pop Winans. While BeBe & CeCe were in high school, four of their elder brothers formed the successful Gospel music group The Winans. Initially known as The Winans Part II, BeBe & CeCe first appeared in the public eye when they debuted in 1982 as part of the singing group The PTL Singers on the Christian television show The PTL Club.
BeBe and CeCe left the PTL Singers in 1987 to pursue a musical career and that same year, Sparrow Records offered the two siblings a Gospel recording contract. Their mainstream debut release was the self-titled album “BeBe & CeCe Winans.” The debut record gave them their first R&B hit, “I.O.U. Me,” which topped R&B and inspirational charts and generated Grammy nominations, and Dove and Stellar Awards. CeCe also earned a Grammy for “Best Soul Gospel Performance, Female” for the song “For Always.”

With the release of their second album “Heaven,” they remained steadily popular with R&B audiences, spawning R&B hit singles including, “Heaven” and “Lost Without You.” Other hits from the album included and “Celebrate New Life” and “Hold Up The Light” The album reached the R&B Top Ten, went to No. 95 on the Pop Charts and was certified Gold. BeBe Winans won his first Grammy in 1988 for best male soul gospel performance for “Meantime.”

The release of their 1991 album “Different Lifestyles” brought their biggest success to date. It featured the singles “Addictive Love” and a cover of The Staple Singers’ “I’ll Take You There” featuring Mavis Staples, both singles topped the R&B chart. They became the second gospel act to have an album top the R&B/Hip Hop chart.”Different Lifestyles” also topped the gospel chart and brought them a Grammy for best contemporary soul gospel album.

They began pursuing solo careers in 1994, after the release of their album Relationships, featuring the notable single, “If Anything Ever Happened To You.” BeBe & CeCe reunited in 2009 to record the album “Still,” their first album in more than 15 years. It topped the gospel charts and won a Grammy as best contemporary R&B gospel album. Its lead single, “Close to You,” also topped the gospel charts and won several awards, including the 2010 BMI Award for the most performed gospel song of the year. Another single from the album “Grace,” brought them a Grammy for best gospel performance.

*Mahalia Jackson, Rev. James Cleveland, and Andraé Crouch are the only gospel performers prior to BeBe & CeCe to recieved a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Just my opinion — but I think Shirley Caesar is due one.

'I don't have a definitive answer': Rick Perry doubts authenticity of Obama's birth certificate... after meeting 'birther' Donald Trump

U.S. presidential candidate Rick Perry has raised fresh doubt over whether President Barack Obama was born in the U.S.
The Texas governor says he has not so-called 'birther' movement, which began mostly on the internet and found a new voice in the real estate mogul Donald Trump.
And after meeting last month with the former presidential hopeful, Perry says he cannot give a 'definitive answer' as to if the document subsequently released by the president is authentic. 

Trump publicly called on the president to show the document in the spring, fuelling controversy from a group which argued Mr Obama should not have been elected because he couldn't prove he was a U.S. citizen - a prerequisite for the nation's highest office.

The brouhaha seemed to end on April 27 when Mr Obama did just that - releasing the long-form document on the White House website.

It shows he was born in Honolulu, and is signed by state officials and his mother.
Mr Trump, who considered a presidential bid for 2012, later took credit for its release.
And now Perry admits he isn't completely convinced of the document's authenticity after a dinner with the real-estate mogul.

In an interview published in Sunday's edition of Parade magazine, Perry is asked if he believes President Obama was born in the U.S.

'I have no reason to think otherwise,' he responds.

Pressured for a more direct answer, the governor explains: 'Well, I don't have a definitive answer, because he's never seen my birth certificate,' adding he doesn't know if he has seen the president's.'
Asked if he believes what has been released, Perry adds: 'I don't know. I had dinner with Donald Trump the other night. That came up. He doesn't think it's real.'

But Perry was hesitant to side with Trump on the matter.
'I don't have any idea,' he added. 'It doesn't matter. He's the President of the United States. He's elected. It's a distractive issue.'
In a poll released this summer by CNN, one in six Americans were said to believe the President was definitely or probably not born in the U.S.

However this figure of 17 per cent after the birth certificate's release was a fall from the 25 per cent who gave the same response in March.

Critics have claimed the birth certificate had been doctored; that the document's serial number was out of sequence, the typing wasn't aligned, and it was printed on green paper instead of white paper like other Hawaiian birth records of that era.
Meanwhile, Mr Obama has looked to cash in from the ruckus over his birthplace by releasing a t-shirt displaying the words 'Made in the USA’.
The $25 shirt also has a photo of the President's face on the front and the long-form version of his birth certificate on the back.

Drake Celebrates 25th Birthday In Las Vegas

Drizzy is 25 years old. To celebrate the occasion, he hit the TAO nightclub in Las Vegas on Saturday night with friends and family. DJ Future the Prince and DJ Vice entertained the crowd with mostly Drake music.

Drizzy also thanked fans for coming out and supporting him.

'It's what my mother would have wanted': John Edwards's daughter Cate marries childhood sweetheart in moving ceremony dedicated to Elizabeth's memory

It was a celebration tinged with sadness, coming so soon after her mother's death.
But as Cate Edwards, the daughter of former presidential candidate John and his late wife Elizabeth, married her childhood sweetheart yesterday, she declared: 'It was what she would have wanted.'

Miss Edwards married college boyfriend Trevor Upham yesterday at a local Methodist church in Chapel Hill, North Carolina - the ceremony taking place beside an alter which had been lit in her mother's memory.
The couple looked delighted as they left the church arm in arm, while Cate's father John, who faces felony charges of more than $1million in undisclosed payments allegedly paid to to cocver up an affair, slipped out by the back door.

The ceremony moved on to their home nearby, where they hosted a reception on the lawn.
Before the wedding Cate, 29, had spoken about her plans for the day, which she discussed at length with her mother before she passed away earlier this year.
'We want this to be really happy and joyous; that's what my mother would want,' she said. 'There are a lot of sort of small ways that she's infused into the day.

Elizabeth died from breast cancer last December at the age of 61.
In an article for the November issue of Glamour magazine, she wrote: 'I feel so lucky to have shared that joy with her, to have had the time to leaf through bridal magazines together and talk about the wedding.
'We agreed the reception would be outdoors, with a "rustic romantic" theme.'
'Mom advised me to think carefully about the ceremony: It could be an important map, she said, for our life together.
'Even though I've had to plan the wedding without her, I feel blessed because, in her last weeks, she told me she was comforted to know I'd set forth on my own life path, with someone she loved and respected, and with whom she truly believed I would be happy.'

Miss Edwards revealed how her mother had even been in on Mr Upham's plans to propose on a 'surprise' visit to the family's North Carolina home last November.

'After I picked him up at the airport, he suggested a detour through Raleigh - and proposed to me in front of the green-shuttered house that my parents had brought me home to as a newborn,' she revealed.

'After a celebratory lunch, we headed to Chapel Hill, where my family lives; we entered a house full of smiles, including my mom's. She had been in on it for weeks. Trevor had shipped her the ring weeks before, and she had hidden it in the trunk of my car so he could retrieve it before he popped the question.'
The attorney, who has left her job in May to start the Elizabeth Edwards Foundation, is the second-eldest of her parents' four children.
She said that she sees traces of her mother every day in younger sister Emma, 13, and brother Jack, 11.

Her older brother, Wade, tragically died at the age of 16 in a car accident in 1996.
Emma was her maid of honour on Saturday, while Jack was a groomsman.
'I feel so lucky to have shared that joy with her, to have had the time to leaf through bridal magazines together and talk about the wedding'
'They had a tough year, but they're doing well,' Cate added.
She said in an interview with Harper's Bazaar in 2007: 'It’s very, very hard to imagine how you would cope when you haven’t faced tragedy. But the strength exists, and you do get through it.

'Having been through Wade’s death is the only way I know I can move on from this kind of emotional hardship.'
Miss Edwards is clearly also close with her father, who will walk her down the aisle.
This is despite the shamed former senator's long-term affair and love child, exposed as her mother fought her terminal battle with cancer.

He is now involved in an onging court battle, in which he has pleaded not guilty to charges that he used $925,000 of campaign funds to keep mistress Rielle Hunter and daughter Quinn in hiding during his 2008 run for the White House.
Mr Edwards faces a a 30-year jail sentence after he was indicted by a grand jury on six counts, including conspiracy, four counts of illegal campaign contributions and one count of false statements.

In a public address in June, with Miss Edwards by his side, he said he had 'done wrong' but has not broken the law.
Sources have claimed that Ms Hunter insisted that Frances Quinn, the child she had with Mr Edwards in 2008, was included in his daughter's wedding.
The thought of including the three-and-a-half-year-old as flower girl at the ceremony has riled Mr Edwards' former in-laws.
Mis Edwards was reportedly open to the idea, but her late mother's family was 'dead-set' against it.
A source told the Enquirer: 'Elizabeth's family is furious at the mere suggestion of it,' and said the gesture would be a 'huge slap in the face.'
It is not yet known whether Frances was at the ceremony.

Wiz Khalifa And Amber Rose Celebrate Her 29th Birthday In Hawaii

Lovebirds Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose headed to the beach for Amber’s 29th birthday celebration in Honolulu, Hawaii this past weekend. The two were spotted holding hands on the beach and Wiz even gave his boo a special shoutout during his concert on the beautiful island.

Wearing just his tatts a hat and some blue jean shorts Wiz held hands along the beach with his beau Amber as she wore a zebra stripped bikini. The two happened to also be in town because Wiz had a performance where he showed his love for Amber and wished her a happy birthday.
Wiz made sure to surprise his girlfriend with a hotel suite filled with red and pink balloons from floor to ceiling and flowers as well. Amber had this to say on her website about the surprise:

Now you too can have nails like the Harajuku Barbie. Nicki Minaj has teamed up with OPI Nail Lacquer to launch a line of nail polishes. The six-piece collection, due in stores in 2012, is named after songs off her debut album including “Metal 4 Life,” “Fly,” “Save Me,” “Did It On’em,” “Super Bass Shatter,” and “Pink Friday.”

In addition to nail polish, Nicki previously partnered with M·A·C Cosmetics to launch a limited edition Pink Friday lipstick.

And she was crowned a princess by her mom.

Jen's good friends Cara Mia Wayans, Brooklyn Sudano, and Khadijah McCray joined in at Isabella's party.

Jen's little sis Megan Miller also attended Isabella's party.

IT’S OFFICIAL Christina Milian and The Dream are DIVORCED!

She could be forgiven for having a down day after her divorce from The Dream was finalized.
But Christina Milian yesterday decided to hold her head high and stepped out with her gorgeous daughter Violet after news of the finalised divorce was made public.
The 30-year-old singer appeared in good spirits as she played around with 19-month-old Violet in a park in Miami, Florida.

Wearing a super-tight pair of skinny jeans, embellished vest top and high heels, Christina looked every inch the yummy mummy on the day out.
It was revealed yesterday that Christina's divorce from The Dream has been finalized.
According to TMZ.com, the decree was given earlier this week.
The R&B producer, real name Terius Hagert Youngdell Nash, had filed divorce papers nine days before the birth of the couple's first child.
He stated in the documents that the marriage is 'irretrievably broken', and that 'there is no hope for reconciliation'.

But Christina said in a recent interview that despite the breakdown of her marriage, it hasn't put her off walking down the aisle again.

She explained: 'I want to have more kids someday and I think I'll get married again.
'I'm going to take my time though. I won't be engaged in a month and married overnight.'

Christina is also hoping to get her career on track, and revealed she is keen to record a track with Justin Bieber for her new album.

She said: 'I would love to, I would love to. Actually I've worked on a couple of songs in the studio lately that we're trying to get on his project, something will get on there. Fingers crossed.'

The singer also talked about turning 30, and told BET she is feeling

She said: 'It feels awesome. It feels actually really cool. It's not like oh my gosh I'm getting old. For me, it's something I feel like I can stand taller. I'm more confident.

'I feel like I've gone into it with wisdom and not just like naïve and the same way I was last year.'
