Would you like some "Schweddy Balls"????

Schweddy Balls ice cream will launch with a hint of rum and chocolate covered rum and malt balls. It takes it's name from a SNL skit
As Molly Shannon said on Saturday Night Live, 'Christmas is a time for traditional foods and bite-sized treats' and in the much-loved 'Schweddy Balls' skit, Alec Baldwin presents his famous dessert.
And now the rumours are true, as Ben & Jerry's announced they're releasing a 'Schweddy Balls' ice cream flavour full in time for the holidays.
The ice cream will have a hint of rum and be overflowing with spherical treats - fudge covered rum balls and milk chocolate malt balls.
Baldwin had this to say via a press release: 'For a long time, I thought that "Here Lies Pete Schweddy" would end up on my tombstone. Now, thanks to Ben & Jerry's, the goodness of the Schweddy family recipe won't go with me to the great beyond. It is immortalized here, right now, and it's an ice cream. Ben & Jerry's and Schweddy. Two great names in American dessert, together at last.'
Joksters: L-R, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield of Ben & Jerry have long been known for whimsical flavours
'Ben & Jerry's is coming out with a Schweddy Balls ice cream for Christmas this year'.
The Vermont-based company has previously released limited edition flavours with pop culture tie-ins, including One Sweet Whirled with the Dave Matthews Band and, currently, Stephen Colbert's Americone Dream.
Americone Dream consists of vanilla ice cream with fudge-covered waffle cone pieces and caramel.
Announcing the new flavour on February 14, 2007, Ben & Jerry's called it: 'The sweet taste of liberty in your mouth'.
These offerings join the company's perennial favourites like Chunky Monkey, Half Baked and Chocolate Fudge Brownie.
Ben & Jerry's has long offered Cherry Garcia, honouring the late Grateful Dead singer Jerry Garcia, as well as Phish Food, named after the band.
A Wavy Gravy flavour honoured the 60s era clown of the same name, and featured caramel and cashew/Brazil nut ice cream with a hazelnut-fudge swirl and roasted almonds.
The company renamed a flavour Yes Pecan in honour of Barack Obama's 2008 victory, and donated all proceeds to the Common Cause Education Fund.
The company has also offered flavours unique to specific countries, such as Black and Tan in Ireland, a cream stout ice cream swirled with chocolate.

Ben & Jerry's was founded in Vermont by Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield in 1978 and is known for their annual 'free cone day', support of liberal causes and positive working environment.
The Schweddy Balls SNL skit is part of the 'Delish Dish' series, in which cast mates Shannon and Gasteyer played monotone-talking NPR anchors, who repeatedly said 'neat' and 'good times' while covering various culinary misadventures.
Alec Baldwin appeared as a guest on their faux program, named Pete Schweddy, the owner of a 'holiday bakery with a very, very clever name, Season’s Eatings'.
Ms Shannon, in character, told Mr Baldwin that she loved his store name, and that 'Christmas is a time for traditional foods and bite-sized treats'.

Mr Baldwin said: 'There are lots of great treats this year. Zucchini bread, fruit cake, but the thing I most like to get out this time of year are my balls'.
A series of double entendre jokes followed, including the words 'glistening' and 'misshapen'.
Mr Baldwin said, 'No one can resist my Schweddy balls'.
Ms Gasteyer also joked, 'I like to leave Santa some tap water and rice. If Santa is anything like me, Christmas foods really wreak havoc on the digestive system'.
Ms Shannon said: 'I can’t ever leave food out in my apartment because I have an excessive rat problem'.
VERY TASTY!
