#RHOA: Phaedra Parks Shares Update on Her Son Ayden's Dating Life and Career Goals
Ayden Nida addressed the topic during a recent interview with TMZ alongside his mom and little brother, Dylan Nida. The family was making their way through LAX when a camera operator caught up with the 14-year-old boy and asked him about his career ambitions. Ayden said he could see himself working in more traditional fields and reality TV, much like his multi-hyphenate mom.

Phaedra Parks' son Ayden Nida reveals his job aspirations
“I feel like I can do both,” he said. “I feel like I have the intelligence to do something else if I choose to, but I feel like it would also be fun to see what her (Phaedra) world is like.”
Ayden was then asked if there was a specific occupation he was eyeing.
“It’s funny you ask me that, because we’re in an airport,” he said. “I want to be a pilot.”

Phaedra gave an approving nod before revealing her aviation connection.
“I know Pete the Pilot,” she said, referring to Peter Weber, her castmate on The Traitors Season 2. “So, he’s gonna give [Ayden] a few pointers. Yeah, he’s gonna give him a few pointers. [Pete] is a second-generation [pilot], so he knows.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Ayden was asked about his first Pre-Debutante Cotillion, aka Sadie Hawkins dance. The teen said the milestone event “was pretty fun,” as he enjoyed “getting dressed up in a suit and looking nice.”
Phaedra documented Ayden’s big night in an April 14 Instagram carousel, sharing photos of her son donning a sharp double-breasted suit, a light pink button-down shirt, and brown sneakers.

“Many of you watched me carry this blessing and birth him on television. He has grown up right before your eyes!” the Atlanta mom captioned the post. “Ayden (the Prince) attended his first #PDC dance aka Sadie Hawkins with the sweetest most adorable young lady… It hasn’t always been easy because parenting doesn’t come with a handbook, but [god] has ALWAYS seen me through.”
Ayden, who is about to finish his freshman year of high school, was then asked about his dating life and whether his mom had set any dating rules.
“We haven’t really talked about it,” Ayden admitted.

“He’s 14, so I don’t expect him to be dating until [he’s] 16,” Phaedra said, before clarifying she might consider allowing her boy to go on “very supervised” dates.
So, does Ayden have any dating rules for his mom?
“He can’t be a bum," the teen said about Phaedra’s potential suitors.
Phaedra shares Ayden and Dylan with her ex-husband, Apollo Nida. The couple married in 2009 and finalized their divorce in 2017. Get the details on the Housewife’s co-parenting journey and re-entry into the dating scene.

Driver kills and injures people attending street festival in Vancouver
The driver of a car struck revelers at a street festival in Canada, killing and injuring an unknown number of people, police said.
The vehicle entered the street where people were attending a Filipino community festival just after 8 p.m. Friday, the Vancouver Police Department said in a social media post.

"A number of people have been killed and multiple others are injured after a driver drove into a crowd," police said.
The exact number of dead or injured was not immediately available.
The driver was taken into custody, police said.

The Lapu Lapu Day festival was being held in a South Vancouver neighbourhood. Video posted on social media showed victims and debris strewn across a long stretch of road, with at least seven people lying immobile on the ground.
A black SUV with a crumpled front section could be seen in still photos from the scene.

Diddy Rejected A Plea Deal Ahead Of His Sex Trafficking Trial Next Month
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking trial is set to begin in two weeks, and prosecutors have revealed he once had a chance to take another way out. In court on April 25, prosecutors confirmed the Bad Boy founder was offered a plea deal, but he rejected it and chose to move forward to trial to fight for his freedom.
According to Rolling Stone, prosecutors asked Judge Arun Subramanian if he “could ‘allocute’ Combs on the plea agreement, essentially meaning, ask him in court and on the record if he understands the plea he was offered and rejected. Subramanian said he would address the plea at a hearing next Thursday, May 1.”

Although the specific conditions of the plea deal remain unknown, there was never any confirmation about the long-rumored deal until now. Friday’s hearing also resulted in Judge Subramanian ruling that the 2016 video of Combs physically assaulting Cassie Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel could be shown to the jury.
It was also confirmed this week that the prosecution plans to use the audio from a 2011 phone call to 911 detailing how the 55-year-old artist allegedly broke into one of his victims’ homes in Los Angeles.

Previously, Combs’ legal team attempted to delay the trial by two months, but that motion was swiftly denied. His attorneys were requesting more time to prepare as more charges stacked up, but according to CBS, the decision was made “immediately” in court on April 18. Judge Subramanian said to the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper’s lawyers that the motion was filed “last minute” and they did “have sufficient time to prepare.” Subramanian also said he “did not understand” why Combs wasn’t prepared when he has “four different law firms working on his case.”

The trial will begin on May 5 as originally scheduled.
On Sept. 16, 2024, the Love Album creator was arrested in NYC and charged with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution. Disturbing details from the court documents accused Diddy of using his companies to fund and facilitate “Freak Offs,” where he’d allegedly drug his victims and put them in sexually abusive situations. He is currently being held at the MDC Brooklyn and has been denied bail several times.

Derrick Harmon’s Mom Dies Soon After His Steelers Draft

The mom of Steelers first-round pick Derrick Harmon died moments after telling her the Pittsburgh Steelers selected him in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
It was a bittersweet victory for the Oregon defensive tackle. As Derrick’s name was called, his mom was on life support. He said he was going to visit her afterward to share the good news.

“It’s a blessing,” Harmon said on being drafted. “It was a little bittersweet. My mom wasn’t with me – she’s at the hospital right now on life support. That was a little bittersweet because she worked just as hard as me to get to this moment.
“But it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Like I said, I’m very excited.”

Harmon revealed his mother, Tiffany Saine, had “about eight brain surgeries” while he was growing up. She also had a stroke when he was a freshman at Michigan State, leaving her paralyzed on her left side.
“I’m originally from Detroit, Michigan, so I was probably 45 minutes from home when I went to Michigan State,” Harmon said. “It was very hard leaving and going to Oregon. It was probably the hardest decision I had to make. I sat down with my mom and we had a discussion. She told me every decision I made up to this point was for her, it’s time to make a decision for myself. I carried that through the whole process of going 2,000 miles away all the way to Oregon.”

Harmon played the first three seasons of his college career at Michigan State before transferring to Oregon for the 2024 season. He said leaving his mom was hard, but she told him it was time to do something for himself.
Ryan Clarke from The Oregonian said Saine was a single mom who scrimped and saved to send him to football camps. In return, Clarke said Derrick used some of his NIL earnings to buy her a wheelchair accessbile van. Clarke said the mother and son remained close when he was at Oregon.

“He kept in touch with her every day over FaceTime, and she actually had a chance to fly out to Eugene and take in one of the games against Boise State early in the year. So that was very special for both of them to share that time for sure,” Clarke said.
While in Oregon, Harmon became one of the best defensive linemen in college football, tallying 45 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 14 games.

Shedeur Sanders Shares Reaction To Not Being Drafted In First Round
The 23-year-old Colorado Buffaloes quarterback had his sights set on being a part of the Pittsburgh Steelers as the 21st pick, but it ultimately went to Oregon defensive tackle, Derrick Harmon. Although he wasn’t picked in the first round, there is still a chance that he will be picked at No.21 overall by the Steelers in the second round.

“We all didn’t expect this, of course, but I feel like with God, anything is possible, everything is possible,” Sanders said on his brother’s YouTube channel. “I don’t feel like this happened for no reason. All this is is of course, fuel to the fire. Under no circumstances we all know this shouldn’t have happened. We’re onto bigger and better things. Tomorrow is the day, we’re going to be happy regardless.”

His father, NFL legend Deion Sanders, was seen shaking his head after his son wasn’t picked by the Saints but instead went with Texas offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. ESPN’s Booger McFarland said after Pittsburgh didn’t choose Sanders in the first round, “People get wowed with the off-platform throws, Sanders plays point guard from the pocket and maybe they’re not valuing that in the first round.”

Many people pointed out Sanders’ coachability and demeanor as a factor, according to reports via NFL.com. “The worst formal interview I’ve ever been in in my life,” an NFL assistant said about Sanders. “He’s so entitled. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has horrible body language. He blames teammates… But the biggest thing is, he’s not that good.”

Alexis M. Herman, first Black labor secretary, dies at 77

Alexis M. Herman, who served as labor secretary from 1997 to 2001 under former President Bill Clinton, died Friday. She was 77.
The 42nd president paid tribute to her on social media, saying that he and his wife, former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, were “deeply saddened” at her passing:
“Alexis Herman was a skillful and creative administrator who worked to empower women and strengthen families. In every effort, she lifted people with her unfailing optimism and energy,” he said. “We’ll miss her very much.”
Shomari Figures, the U.S. Representative from Alabama’s 2nd Congressional District, released a statement on Herman’s passing, calling her a true hometown hero. Herman was a native of Mobile, Ala.

“Today, I was saddened to learn of the death of a true hometown hero, legendary trailblazer, family friend, and mentor: Alexis Herman,” Figures said in a statement. “She was a fighter for civil rights and women’s rights, a giant in DC political circles, especially among Black women, and an all around dynamic woman.”

The NAACP called Herman as “a pioneering leader” and lauded “her legacy of service and trailblazing leadership,” saying it “will continue to inspire generations.”
Herman was born on July 16, 1947, to Alex Herman, the first Black ward leader in Alabama, and Gloria Caponis, a local schoolteacher. She graduated in 1969 from Xavier University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
She helped to desegregate parochial schools in Mobile, managing the Southern Regional Council’s Black Women’s Employment Program, and was appointed at age 29 as the youngest director of the Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau during the administration of former President Jimmy Carter.

As labor secretary under Clinton, Herman oversaw 17,000 people and a $39 million budget. She successfully mediated the 1997 UPS workers strike, supported a minimum wage increase to $5.15 per hour, and spearheaded the effort to fine Toys “R” Us $200,000 for violating child labor laws after alleging that the company assigned teen employees to work more and longer hours.
Herman succeeded Robert B. Reich, who left the Labor Department after four years on Jan. 12, 1997. According to the Washington Post, she as sworn in as secretary of labor 113 days after she was nominated, and said then that she wanted to help move people from welfare to work. Vice President Al Gore administered the oath of office at the Labor Department, joking that the long delay in her confirmation reminded people that “good things are worth waiting for.”

Her confirmation was at first delayed because of questions about her role in the organization of White House coffees, held by Clinton for major fund-raisers.
Herman persisted and succeeded despite her naysayers because of a quote once attributed to her: “I never entertained failure as an option.”

A bio on the U.S. Department of Labor website outlined her goals as its head.
“As the nation entered the new millennium, the nature of work and the face of workers were changing at tremendous speed,” the bio stated. “Secretary of Labor Alexis M. Herman saw her job as helping American workers effectively manage that change. As President Clinton said when he announced her appointment in December 1996, she is a leader who ‘understands the needs of workers and understands the challenges they face as we approach the 21st Century.’ While serving as the 23rd Secretary of Labor and the first African American to head the department, Herman led the Department of Labor to focus its work on three goals: a prepared workforce, a secure workforce and a quality workforce.”

After leaving office, Herman served as chair of Coca-Cola’s Human Resources Task Force and as member of Toyota’s Diversity Advisory Board.  Also, she served on many boards including Cummins, MGM Resorts International, and Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.

Kanye Says He 'Should've Had Babies' With Paris Hilton Over Kim Kardashian
Ye wishes he would have impregnated Paris Hilton instead of Kim Kardashian.
The artist formerly known as Kanye West blurted out the thought on a recent livestream where he appeared to be talking with someone on the phone. “Kim was Paris Hilton’s assistant,” said Ye. “I should’ve had babies with Paris Hilton over Kim Kardashian!”

Ye went on to rationalize that, in a hypothetical scenario where he was part of the Hilton family, it would grant him some form of ownership or access to the successful hotel franchise. “Could you imagine if I had kids with Paris Hilton? How many hotels I would have right now?” pondered Ye. “Think about that. The Hilton. The Hilton shit.”
In another wild Ye moment on his stream, the rapper claimed that Playboi Carti once told him he was “at the Chateau with a gun,” seemingly referencing the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood where Ye previously revealed to Akademiks that he was staying there.

“I gotta tell you another thing that Carti said telling me on the phone, n***a,” Ye said. “This n***a told me he was at the Chateau with a gun, n***a. What that mean, n***a? And then n***a said he don’t be on the internet. It’s like, if you don’t be on the internet, what we talking about then?”
Ye recently let the world know what he thinks about Kendrick Lamar and Tyler, the Creator. He hopped on X to share his thoughts about the two just a few weeks after he criticized their music.

“Kendrick and Tyler raps are about equal honestly,” he wrote. “Name one good Tyler, the Creator bar. Name an actual good Kendrick line. Like you really wish you had said that level bar… “
Ye didn’t stop there. He continued on his rant, putting the two down by asking his followers again to tell him which of their raps they think are great. “Broooo Kendrick Lamar can not rap. [Lil] Wayne got waaaay more life bars,” declared Ye. “I got more bars. Kendrick doesn’t have one bar where I say I wish I said that. Kendrick and Tyler the two most overrated so called artist. Please order more security.”

Patrick Mahomes Sparks Controversy After Talking About 'Nappy' Hair During Interview

NFL star Patrick Mahomes has caused strong reactions across social media after describing his hair as "nappy" during a new interview.
According to several users, Patrick Mahomes' use of the word "nappy" sounds "anti-Black." However, other users seemed to disagree and suggested that people were giving the Super Bowl champion a hard time because of his wife, Brittany Mahomes, and her assumed Republican political affiliation.

Ahead of NFL players beginning their training for the upcoming season, Mahomes, who's likely still recovering from a disappointing Super Bowl loss in 2025, stopped to speak with a local Kansas City news station. While on the call, the quarterback also debuted a new look.
For those who may be unfamiliar, Mahomes has worn a longer-style mohawk for the last few seasons. During his interview with KCTV, he said he'd wanted to change things up for a while but couldn't because he and his team kept winning.

“I’ve wanted to do it for a while, but it was kind of one of those superstitions, I kept winning the Super Bowl, which is a good thing, but I didn’t want to cut the hair while I was doing it,” detailed Mahomes.
However, he knew that after leading his team to the Super Bowl again in February, he was doing the big chop.
Patrick Mahomes 'Can't Believe' People Let Him Keep His Hair So 'Nappy' For 'So Long'

“I told everybody during the season that win or lose, if we win three in a row or if we lose, I’m getting a haircut like that’s enough," he continued.
"I’m very excited. I’ve looked at some videos from last year, and I can’t believe all you guys let me keep that nappy hair for so long, like, I look way better now with the short hair. So, I’ll be keeping this going forward," he finished.
Although Mahomes likely didn't think twice about his comment, it certainly got people going online, and the comments have been unforgiving.
But the comments weren't all bad. On Instagram, the reaction was the complete opposite, and many netizens defended the champion amid the criticism.

Mahomes' comment isn't the first time he or members of his family have faced scrutiny for sharing an unpopular opinion.
In 2024, Mahomes' wife, Brittany, also faced heat after she was caught allegedly liking and unliking a post in support of President Donald J. Trump.
She spoke out about the backlash on Instagram, calling the "haters" on her social media out for worrying about her life.

"I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep-rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood," she wrote. "There’s no reason your brain is fully developed, and you hate to see others doing well."
In a separate interview, Patrick spoke briefly about politics and said he preferred to keep his opinion to himself.
“I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president,” the quarterback said. “I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research.”

Al Sharpton Met with Wendy Williams to Pray for her
Political activist Rev. Al Sharpton meets with former daytime talk show host Wendy Williams at her court ordered assisted living facility to offer counsel and prayers....
From Page Six, Rev Al Sharpton is lending his support to Wendy Williams. The civil rights and social justice activist arrived to her living quarters at The Coterie assisted living facility in Hudson Yards on Thursday, after she called him to help her fight for her freedom from her legal guardianship.
Sharpton spoke with Page Six earlier in the day, and told us Williams’ call came “out of nowhere.”
“She called me yesterday on my cell phone, out of nowhere, and said, ‘Is this Rev. Al?’ I said, ‘Yeah,’ and then she said, ‘It’s Wendy! Wendy Williams,” he explained.

“She sounded like Wendy. She didn’t sound any different. She seemed excited that she reached me,” he continued.
The duo, who have known each other for decades, had a brief phone call. But Sharpton told us that Williams claimed that the facility is keeping her there against her will. “[She] wanted me to try to help her,” Sharpton told us.
The reverend spent over an hour with her at the facility Thursday afternoon, but was mum on the details when he exited the building, only revealing that they prayed together.
Williams’ lawyer, Joe Tacopina, was more forthcoming about why his client reached out to Sharpton, explaining that she hopes to draw even more attention to her fight with Sharpton by her side.
“Rev. Sharpton is an obvious choice when you want to speak to someone who’s not afraid, has the courage to say what they believe in, and with force,” Tacopina told us.

“He has a respected voice, and when he speaks, people listen, and he garners attention,” he added.
Sharpton told us his goal for Thursday’s visit was to assess the situation and offer prayer. “If she’s treated unjust, I’ll say that. I’ll look into it and help,” he said.
Meanwhile, Williams appeared vibrant from her window, waving to fans and reporters below the pad, which she describes as her “luxury prison.” Inside, she lives in its “memory unit” — the department for residents with memory problems” — with people she describes as “90-year-olds with dementia.” Williams is currently fighting to prove she was misdiagnosed as having primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

Gilbert Arenas’ son awakens from coma after car crash

The son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas has defied medical expectations by emerging from an induced coma following a life-threatening car accident in Los Angeles. Alijah Arenas, an 18-year-old basketball phenom who recently committed to USC, has stabilized after the harrowing incident that left him critically injured.

The single-vehicle crash occurred Thursday around 5 a.m. in the Reseda neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley. Arenas was driving his Tesla Cybertruck when it collided with a tree and fire hydrant before bursting into flames. Los Angeles Police Department officers arrived to find the vehicle engulfed and the young athlete in serious condition.

First responders rushed Arenas to a nearby hospital where medical staff immediately intubated him due to significant smoke inhalation. His condition was initially classified as critical, prompting doctors to place him in an induced coma to facilitate recovery.
Bryant Sandoval, one of several Good Samaritans who rushed to help at the crash site, described the desperate rescue attempt amid billowing smoke and growing flames. Sandoval explained they couldn’t see anything through the windows. The rescuers frantically broke through a window to extract Arenas from the burning vehicle.

The rescue took on added emotional significance when Arenas managed to extend his arm toward his rescuers. Sandoval was deeply moved when Arenas stuck his arm out, as it confirmed he was still there with them. Despite his precarious condition, Arenas communicated that he was the sole occupant of the vehicle, displaying remarkable presence of mind.

In what family members describe as nothing short of miraculous, Arenas has shown encouraging signs of cognitive function since awakening from the coma. According to a family statement, his first words upon regaining consciousness asked if anyone got hurt – a question that reflects both his awareness and character.
Medical professionals overseeing his care have expressed cautious optimism about his recovery trajectory, though they acknowledge he faces a lengthy rehabilitation process. The absence of significant brain trauma has particularly relieved his family and medical team.

The basketball community and fans nationwide have mobilized in support of Arenas during this challenging time. Social media platforms have become virtual gathering spaces where well-wishers express their support and celebrate positive updates about his condition.
Instagram comments reflect the emotional investment many have in his recovery. Comments expressing relief and encouragement have flooded social media. Some supporters noted that their prayers had been answered, while others predicted he would come back stronger than ever. This outpouring has created a virtual support network for the Arenas family as they navigate this difficult period.

Before the accident, Alijah Arenas had established himself as one of the nation’s most promising high school basketball talents. As the son of three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas and television personality Laura Govan, he has lived with high expectations that he was meeting with his exceptional play.

His recent signing with Adidas represented a significant milestone in his emerging career. Basketball analysts had predicted a bright future for the young guard, whose playing style combines elements of his father’s scoring prowess with modern athleticism.
The Arenas family has expressed profound appreciation for both the medical professionals directing his care and the community members who contributed to his rescue and recovery. The family noted that this act of courage, along with Alijah’s incredible will to survive, has been nothing short of miraculous, referencing both the rescue effort and Alijah’s resilience throughout the ordeal.

While the accident has temporarily interrupted his athletic journey, those close to the situation remain hopeful that Arenas will eventually return to pursuing his basketball aspirations. His recovery stands as a testament to personal strength, medical expertise, and the power of community support in the face of life-threatening circumstances.
The medical team continues to monitor his progress closely, adjusting treatment protocols as needed to optimize his recovery. Though challenges remain, the remarkable improvement in his condition has transformed what began as a tragedy into an unfolding story of perseverance and hope.

Kennedy Center cancels week of events celebrating LGBTQ rights
Organizers and the Kennedy Center have canceled a week's worth of events celebrating LGBTQ+ rights for this summer's World Pride festival in Washington, D.C., amid a shift in priorities and the ousting of leadership at one of the nation's premier cultural institutions.
Multiple artists and producers involved in the center's Tapestry of Pride schedule, which had been planned for June 5 to 8, told The Associated Press that their events had been quietly canceled or moved to other venues. And in the wake of the cancellations, Washington's Capital Pride Alliance has disassociated itself from the Kennedy Center.

"We are a resilient community, and we have found other avenues to celebrate," said June Crenshaw, deputy director of the alliance. "We are finding another path to the celebration...but the fact that we have to maneuver in this way is disappointing."
The Kennedy Center's website still lists Tapestry of Pride on its website with a general description and a link to the World Pride site. There are no other details.
The Kennedy Center did not respond to a request from the AP for comment.

The move comes on the heels of massive changes at the Kennedy Center, with President Trump firing both the president and chairman in early February. Mr. Trump replaced most of the board with loyalists, who then elected him the new Kennedy Center chairman.
The World Pride event, held every two years, starts in just under a month — running from May 17 through June 8 with performances and celebrations planned across the capital. But Trump administration policies on transgender rights and comments about Kennedy Center drag performances have sparked concern about what kind of reception attendees will receive.

"I know that D.C. as a community will be very excited to be hosting World Pride, but I know the community is a little bit different than the government," said Michael Roest, founder and director of the International Pride Orchestra, which had its June 5 performance at the Kennedy Center abruptly canceled within days of Mr. Trump's takeover.
Roest told the AP he was in the final stages of planning the Kennedy Center performance after months of emails and Zoom calls. He was waiting on a final contract when the president posted on social media Feb. 7 of the leadership changes and his intention to transform the Kennedy Center's programming.

Immediately the Kennedy Center became nonresponsive, Roest said. On Feb. 12, he said, he received a one-sentence email from a Kennedy Center staffer stating, "We are no longer able to advance your contract at this time."
"They went from very eager to host to nothing," he said. "We have not since heard a word from anybody at the Kennedy Center, but that's not going to stop us."
In the wake of the cancellation, Roest said he managed to move the International Pride Orchestra performance to the Strathmore theater in nearby Bethesda, Maryland.

Crenshaw said some other events, including a drag story time and a display of parts of the AIDS Memorial Quilt, would be moved to the World Pride welcome center in Chinatown.
Monica Alford, a veteran arts and culture journalist and event planner, was scheduled to organize an event June 8 as part of Tapestry of Pride, but said she also saw communication abruptly end within days of Trump's takeover.

Alford has a long history with the Kennedy Center and organized the first-ever drag brunch on the Kennedy Center rooftop in 2024, and said she regarded the institution — and its recent expansion known as The Reach — as "my home base" and "a safe space for the queer community."
She said she was still finalizing the details of her event, which she described as "meant to be family-friendly, just like the drag brunch was family-friendly and classy and sophisticated."
She said she mourns the loss of the partnership she nurtured with the Kennedy Center.

"We're doing our community a disservice — not just the queer community but the entire community," she said.
Roest said he never received an explanation as to why the performance was canceled so late in the planning stages. He said his orchestra would no longer consider performing at the Kennedy Center, and he believes most queer artists would make the same choice.
"There would need to be a very, very public statement of inclusivity from the administration, from that board, for us to consider that," he said. "Otherwise it is a hostile performance space."

Gigi Hadid And Bradley Cooper Spark Engagement Rumor At Her 30th Birthday Party
Gigi Hadid recently celebrated her 30th birthday with a grand party at Le Chalet inside L'Avenue at Saks in New York City. The event took place on April 25 and saw the likes of her boyfriend, actor Bradley Cooper, and her close-knit family in attendance.
Hadid and Cooper, who have been romantically linked since October 2023, arrived together hand-in-hand, inviting speculation about a possible engagement due to Hadid being seen wearing a gold ring on her wedding finger.
The birthday bash was a star-studded affair, with Gigi's sister Bella Hadid, their mom Yolanda Hadid, dad Mohamed Hadid, and his girlfriend Keni Silva among the notable guests. Gigi's close friend, actress Anne Hathaway, also made an appearance, joining her husband Adam Shulman at the celebration.

For the special occasion, Gigi stunned in a chic low-cut white bustier top paired with black leather pants and pointed toe heels. She accessorized her look with gold earrings, layered gold necklaces, and a slicked-back hairstyle, finishing her ensemble with a dab of bold red lipstick. Bradley Cooper kept it casual yet stylish in an Eagles jacket, black shirt, and black pants, adding black boots and gelled hair for a polished finish.

While they navigate busy careers and family commitments, the couple is evidently prioritizing their blossoming relationship, leaving room for future milestones together, potentially including an engagement down the line.

Beyonce And Solange Knowles Put In Therapy Together As Kids By Their Mom
Famed sisters Beyonce Knowles and Solange Knowles have forged incredibly successful careers in the music industry while maintaining their strong bond as a family, and this may very well be rooted in a significant decision their mother, Tina Knowles, made during their younger years.

In a recent interview with CNN News Central, Tina shared insights into her memoir, "Matriarch," revealing the challenges her daughters faced and the crucial steps she took to ensure their healthy relationship.
When Beyoncé was around 10 years old and deeply involved in her burgeoning music career with the group Girl's Tyme, Solange struggled to find her place, often feeling excluded by her peers.

"The kids would say to Solange every day, 'Be quiet, Solange,' because she would try to choreograph and, you know, she wanted to be involved," Tina recalled. This experience led to a growing sense of isolation for Solange, and even Beyoncé would sometimes ask their mother to intervene.
Seeing a potential divide between her daughters, Tina decided it was imperative to take action. "Finally, I realized that they weren't listening, and I saw a wall between them coming," she said, leading her to make the then-taboo decision to seek therapy for her young children.

Despite initial skepticism from her husband, Tina was determined. “I'm not asking. I'm going to find somebody,” she asserted.
Finding a skilled child therapist, Tina observed differing responses from her daughters: Beyoncé, though resistant and disliking the sessions, gained valuable insights, while Solange thrived in the therapeutic environment, relishing the chance to express herself.

"The outcome was great," Tina remarked, emphasizing that therapy played a pivotal role in maintaining the sisters' tight-knit relationship. Both Beyoncé and Solange have since become Grammy-winning artists, with their early counseling sessions helping to foster a supportive and unbreakable bond.
In addition to discussing her daughters' paths, "Matriarch" delves into Tina's personal health battles, including her recent cancer diagnosis and surgery. Her daughters' reactions highlight their unique strengths: Beyoncé approached the situation with problem-solving precision while Solange displayed determined, emotional support.

This story of love, challenge, and resilience serves as an inspiring backdrop to not just the Knowles family dynamics but also underscores the importance of addressing mental health early on, breaking societal taboos, and fostering strong family relationships.

Michelle Pfeiffer Beams at Hollywood Handprint Ceremony as She's Joined by Former Costars Dakota and Elle Fanning

Michelle Pfeiffer is officially amongst the greats. On Friday, April 25, the 66-year-old actress got her hand and footprints cemented at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California, during the TCM Classic Film Festival.
On hand to honor her were Dakota and Elle Fanning, with whom Pfeiffer starred in the 2001 drama I Am Sam, opposite Sean Penn.

Both sisters made their big-screen debuts with the movie. Elle, 27, played the younger version of Lucy, the daughter of Penn's character Sam, who is played for most of the film by Dakota, 31.
Pfeiffer and Elle would later go on to reunite onscreen in 2019's Maleficent: Mistress of Evil
Michelle Pfeiffer and David E. Kelley during her hand and footprint ceremony at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California, on April 25 2025
The honoree's longtime love David E. Kelley — who is the showrunner and an executive producer for the upcoming series Margo's Got Money Troubles, starring Pfeiffer and Elle — joined her for the event, where the two shared a kiss.

Pfeiffer’s acting career spans over five decades. Her role as Stephanie in 1982’s Grease 2 quickly garnered Hollywood’s attention, followed by her leading role in Scarface with Al Pacino a year later.
In 1989, Pfeiffer earned her first Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Dangerous Liaisons. She went on to receive two more Oscar nods for Best Actress in 1990 for The Fabulous Baker Boys, and in 1993 for Love Field.
While her film roles in the ‘80s and ‘90s, including as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in 1992's Batman Returns, shot her to stardom, Pfeiffer remains in the limelight. In 2007, she starred in the film adaptation of the musical Hairspray.

A decade later, she joined Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem in the critically acclaimed Mother! Pfeiffer even joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Janet Van Dyne in 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. The Hollywood legend reprised that role in both Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023).
Pfeiffer’s acting career also extends to the small screen. In 2017, she joined Robert De Niro for HBO’s TV movie The Wizard of Lies — a role that earned her first Emmy nomination for Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie. Most recently, Pfeiffer played Betty Ford in Showtime’s The First Lady.
She will next star alongside Elle once again in the upcoming drama miniseries Margo's Got Money Troubles, based on the 2024 novel by Rufi Thorpe.

Elle, who also narrated the audiobook, and Dakota are among the Apple TV+ project's team of executive producers, as are Thorpe, Pfeiffer and their costar Nicole Kidman, among others.

The Voice Kids Star Karen Silva Dead at 17 After Hemorrhagic Stroke

Karen Silva, who competed on the spinoff series The Voice Kids Brazil, has died after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke. She was 17.
The singer's rep announced her death on Instagram April 24. "It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of the young singer Karen Silva, at the age of 17," read the Portuguese-language message, shared on the artist's page, "after days of hospitalization at the São João Batista Hospital in Volta Redonda, as a result of a hemorrhagic stroke."

The condition is caused as a result of bleeding into the brain by the rupture of a blood vessel, per the U.S. National Institutes of Health.
Karen was 12 when she competed on the fifth season of The Voice Kids Brazil in 2020, making it to the top 12.

"Karen enchanted Brazil with her powerful voice and striking presence as a child, when she took part in The Voice Kids in 2020," the Instagram post read. "Since then, she has followed a luminous path, combining talent, charisma and representativeness at every step."
The message continued, "More than just a promising artist, Karen has been a symbol of empowerment, especially for Black girls who have found in her inspiration and the strength to dream. Her music, her message and her joy leave a deep mark on everyone who knew her and followed her journey."

The post concluded, "In this moment of immense grief, we stand in solidarity with her parents, Manoella and Fernando, with friends, family and fans. May the memory of her light continue to guide us."

Four days before Karen's death was announced, her rep said in a statement shared on Instagram that the singer was "facing a health problem and is currently under medical care, with the support and affection of her family and team."
Her fatal stroke came as a shock to her fans and loved ones. Karen's dad said she "didn't have any kind of illness," Brazilian news outlet G1 reported April 25.
The Voice Kids Brazil coach Carlinhos Brown also shared a tribute to Karen, who was part of his team on the series. "This morning, we were all taken by surprise by the sudden departure of Karen Silva," the Brazilian singer wrote on Instagram, "who has been on the stages of The Voice, been part of our teams and will leave extremely important memories for all of us."

He continued, "Karen Silva shone on our show and in life—always with a lot of joy and willingness to learn more about music. Today, with condolences and sympathy for her family, we say goodbye to this powerful person. What we have left is hope in the sacred. We don't know God's designs and how he works on souls. I fully believe that she was chosen to reaffirm in us the desire for victory. May God bless her spirit and put her in a good place."
