#RHOA: Kim Zolciak Not Being Considered for 'RHOA' Return Amid Divorce From Kroy Biermann!

'Real Housewives' fans have been wondering if Kim Zolciak will make her return to the series as her divorce from Kroy Biermann heats up ... but we know she ain't even in the running.
Sources connected to 'RHOA' tell TMZ ... producers aren't considering her for a season 16 return, despite lots of speculation amid her messy public split.

We're told Kim isn't chatting with producers about coming back, either. Kim made a guest appearance on the show last season, but sources say that was a one-off.
We're told it's nothing personal toward Kim ... the show is looking to refresh the long-running series with new faces, and producers aren't looking at past housewives to fill the space.

Kim certainly has a gripping storyline -- the divorce is filled with rancor, and their Georgia home is in pre-foreclosure yet again ... this after Kroy said he sold off his own belongings and claims they're "financially destitute, largely related to Kim's love for online gambling."

Kim's currently in Colombia filming MTV's "The Surreal Life" ... so viewers will eventually get their dose of Kim, just not on Bravo anytime soon.

#HipHopNews: Saucy Santana Responds After DJ Akademiks Drops His Location: "I Want To Meet You Outside"
DJ Akademiks recently aired his grievances with City Girls’ Yung Miami during an interview with VladTV on Saturday (Oct. 28).  In the sit-down, the streamer revisited a past interaction where Miami allegedly used a gay slur against him, which he found “ironic” given frequent collaborator Saucy Santana’s sexual orientation.

“Akademiks, you keep talking about what the f**k Caresha said to you, but how she feel about you is how she feel about you. Me being her best friend, it don’t have nothing to f**king do with me,” Santana retorted via his Instagram Story on Sunday (Oct. 29) night. “In the hood, and in a lot of urban cultures, when you see boys that are acting feminine, that are being messy, that are being extra and doing f*g s**t, that’s what you address them as.”

The “Booty” hitmaker continued, “Even as me being a gay man, I don’t move like a f*g. And it’s a lot of other gay boys that are feminine or whatever, but everybody don’t move like f*gs. You move like a f*g.”

Akademiks responded during a subsequent livestream, where he shared his office address and told the rapper to pull up to it. He explained, “No botty man like motherf**king Saucy Santana can talk to me, n**ga. We spit in your face, n**ga. Me and you couldn’t even have a conversation. [You’re] a c**ksucker, n**ga. We don’t talk to n**gas like you. Boy, you need to get right with God, n**ga. Get right with yourself. Look in the mirror and figure out what the f**k going on with yourself.”

“If you really want to know where I’m at, n**ga, 888 Newark Avenue, Jersey City, New Jersey,” the Youtuber shared.  “You show up there with any type of disrespect, any type of botty man vibes and it’s going to be a f**kin’ movie.”
Under Hollywood Unlocked’s repost, Santana’s boyfriend Zell Swagg came to the Connecticut native’s defense. He commented, “Man, I’ll slap the dog s**t out of this n**ga.”
Santana also clapped back at Akademiks on his Instagram Story. The artist stated, “You see what type of nigga we dealing with right now? Pull up to your headquarters? N**gas is in the streets. I want to meet in the road… I’m starting to think maybe this is your aesthetic. You do the fake internet s**t, and you sit in a room full of cameras and then try to make a b**ch crash out.”

He added, “We want to meet you outside. I want to meet you outside. I don’t want to pull up to no motherfuckin’ headquarters, corporate a** n**ga… I want to see you outside. Let’s get active.”

Channing Tatum Reportedly Engaged To Zoe Kravitz After She Flashes Her Ring
Tatum may have popped the question to Zoe Kravitz. The "Magic Mike" actor reportedly has taken his romantic relationship with the "High Fidelity" star to the next level as she was spotted wearing seemingly an engagement ring.
Speaking to PEOPLE on Monday, October 30, a number of sources spilled that the 43-year-old actor and the 34-year-old actress have been engaged recently. However, the sources did not offer any details of the exact date and place of their alleged engagement.

Two days prior, Zoe flashed what appeared to be an engagement ring when she made an appearance at a star-studded Halloween party with Channing. On Saturday, October 28, the couple attended the bash, which was hosted by reality TV star and model Kendall Jenner, at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

In pictures making their rounds online, Zoe could be seen wearing a silver band that came with a sparkling huge diamond on that finger as she and Channing arrived at the venue. The two were photographed holding each other's hands while showing off their Halloween costumes.

For the party, Channing and Zoe dressed up as characters in "Rosemary's Baby", a 1968 thriller movie created by Roman Polanksi. He opted to wear a long-sleeved blue jumpsuit, a white hat that came with a yellow tie, a pair of long red socks and white Vans slip-on shoes. He also added a bracelet and carried a brown bag.

In the meantime, the actress of "The Batman" donned a long-sleeved loose white dress, which was long enough to nearly cover her shoes, as well as a pair of matching sneeakers. She was carrying a knife in one of her hands to emphasize the character that she recreated.

Channing and Zoe were first romantically linked back in 2021. In summer that same year, it was reported that the two started dating. Around one year later, Zoe gave a rare insight into her relationship with Channing. Speaking to GQ magazine for a cover story published in November 2022, she showered him with praises for being "just a wonderful human."
"He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do," Zoe went on to share. "We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other."

Good Burger 2 Trailer: Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are Replaced with Robots in Sequel

The full trailer for Good Burger 2 debuted Monday, showcasing the reunited costars as their characters Dexter and Ed for a sequel to 1997’s original fast-food themed comedy.

Dexter returns to work at Good Burger and is met with some of Ed’s classic antics. When the pair of best friends visit Good Burger’s corporate headquarters, they meet villainous executives (Jillian Bell and Lil Rel Howery) who plan to expand the company worldwide and fire the entire staff.
Instead of hiring new workers, the new Good Burger builds robots that look and talk like Dexter and Ed, paving the way for them to go on a mission to save their beloved restaurant.

According to a synopsis, “Dexter Reed is down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed welcomes Dex back to Good Burger with open arms and gives him his old job back.”

“With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex devises a plan to get back on his feet but unfortunately puts the fate of Good Burger at risk once again.”
Good Burger stems from the popular sketch of the same name in the ’90s Nickelodeon series All That, in which Ed unintentionally terrorizes a variety of characters played by Thompson and others. The feature-length movie based on the sketch followed.

Kamaia Fairburn, Alex R. Hibbert, Fabrizio Guido, Elizabeth Hinkle, Emily Hinkler and Mindy and Anabel Graetz round out the film’s cast, in addition to cameos from Nicole Byer, Rob Gronkowski, Flula Borg, Mark Cuban and Matt Friend. Josh Server, Lori Beth Denberg and Carmen Electra also reprise their original roles from 1997’s Good Burger.

Thompson and Mitchell confirmed the long-awaited sequel was in the works during an appearance on on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in March. They were later spotted filming the movie in Los Angeles in May.

Sean Paul Interview Cut Short During Earthquake in Jamaica
Sean Paul dropped a song titled "Earthquake" last year, and it turns out it might have been a bit of foreshadowing. The hit-making Jamaican artist was at home in the Caribbean island nation when a 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck on Oct. 30.
The "Temperature" singer was doing a live interview on Twitch with artist Tofu Jack and director of Vice Documentaries Dan Zabludovsky when the quake struck. The epicenter was near Hope Bay on the northern coast of the island and was just six miles below the earth's surface.

The room Paul was speaking from began to shake and he immediately realized what was happening. "Oh shit, we're having an earthquake," he said as he ran off screen. It's unclear if he lost his internet signal or if producers behind the scenes cut his stream in case viewers were about to be subjected to much more gruesome footage.

The earthquake destroyed a cement factory and knocked out power in some areas, according to The Associated Press. Wine bottles and food items fell off shelves in grocery stores and some buildings suffered minor damage, but no serious damage or casualties were reported.
"Damage has been minor, but nevertheless, we are taking all precautions," Prime Minister Andrew Holness said online. "I want to say to all Jamaicans, remain calm." He went on to warn citizens about the danger of aftershocks and implore them follow earthquake protocols.

Paul has yet to speak out on the incident captured on camera, but Vice News confirmed the "Get Busy" rapper is fine.

J. Prince reveals that Kanye West played songs from upcoming album during Saudi Arabia meetup

J. Prince took to social media to reveal that he met with Kanye West while visiting the Middle East. “Nice listening to some of the new album with the homies in Saudi Arabia. It’s hot,” the Houston mogul stated in the post’s description. “One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Full of respect, structure, and peace.”

As previously reported, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign had been working on a new project during an extended stay in Italy. This Friday (Nov. 3), the duo will be hosting a “multi-stadium listening event” that will presumably serve as the music’s official debut.
The two apparently haven’t been creating alone. Last Wednesday (Oct. 25), Metro Boomin hinted at being involved in the LP’s production via his Instagram Stories. This month also saw Rick Ross making a public offer to become Ye and Ty Dolla’s distributor. “We’ve created amazing masterpieces in the past. The boss, Ricky Rozay, I’m interested in signing Kanye West,” the Maybach Music talent stated in a short video clip.

It’s been a couple of years since Ye liberated his 10th studio LP, Donda, a blend of hip hop and gospel that saw a wealth of contributions from JAY-Z, Playboi Carti, Fivio Foreign, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Young Thug, and more. Despite only having five days worth of sales tracking, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified platinum in the United States. A deluxe version of Donda arrived months after its initial release.

Since then, the Chicago talent provided buyers of his stem player with a demo album, Donda 2, which boasted singles like “City of Gods” and “Eazy.” He also appeared on songs like Pusha T’s “Dreamin Of The Past,” Future’s “KEEP IT BURNIN,” Vory’s “Daylight,” Cardi B’s “Hot S**t,” and DJ Khaled’s “USE THIS GOSPEL.”

Jermaine Dupri and Janet Jackson Spark Relationship Rumors Yet Again Following Atlanta Linkup with Lovebirds Nelly and Ashanti
Love is in the air, and fans say there is no time like the present for Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri to give love another try. The former couple has found themselves thrust into rumors of a rekindled romance again after being spotted hanging out in Atlanta.
Jackson was among the headliners of the One Music Festival on Oct. 29, where she reconnected with her old flame. The singer and megaproducer dated for about seven years beginning in 2002. In her “Janet Jackson” documentary on Lifetime, Dupri admitted that his unfaithfulness contributed to their breakup.

Following the festival, a live stream showed Dupri and the pop star at his So So Def studio with Nelly and Ashanti, who recently began dating again after a 10-year hiatus, and several others.

An X user expressed that the video of the confirmed couple with Dupri and the “Together Again” singer had a certain “Spin the block double dates….” vibe.
“Everybody want that ol thang,” wrote another person, as a third suggested that “Janet is a businesswoman, that’s all it’s been. JD probably thought it was something more. She’s a hustler, and I’m not mad!”

The speculation of Dupri and his most notable ex circling back to each other has been an ongoing topic among fans whenever the two are spotted together.
Hopeful fans thought that his presence at Jackson’s 56th birthday bash last year was proof that they were indeed dating. He, however, would later debunk those claims.

The nostalgia of early 2000s romantic connections was enough for another fan to comment, “I was waiting on the camera to pan to Chilli & Usher.” TLC’s Chilli and R&B singer Usher dated for three years before breaking up for good in 2004.

In June, the TLC songstress revealed that she and the crooner were quietly off and on again in between relationships with other people post-split. Chilli claimed she cut off communication with him for good in 2019.
As fans may recall, Usher went on to marry his stylist, Tameka Foster, in 2007. They welcomed two sons, Usher V, and Naviyd Ely, before divorcing in 2009.

He would then secretly wed his manager, Grace Miguel, in 2015. They were together for two years as husband and wife when they announced their separation in March 2018. They divorced soon after. He is currently in a relationship with record executive Jennifer “Jenn” Goicoechea. They have two children: daughter Sovereign Bo and son Sire Castrello.

Like Usher, Jackson also found love again after her publicized breakup. She married Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana in 2012.
The couple welcomed a son in 2017, but split three months after his birth. Their contentious divorce battle included a custody fight and claims that Mana ostracized her from her family.
Dupri has never married, but has two daughters from past relationships.

Nate Dogg’s Family Locked in Heated Battle For 12 Years Over the Late Artist’s Estate as Ex-Girlfriend Seeks Child Support

Shereda Williams, the former girlfriend of the late rapper Nate Dogg, who died 12 years ago, is reportedly seeking child support for their 17-year-old son, Jayden.
Williams is pressing the Los Angeles Superior Court to enforce a child support order dating back to 2006, which required Nate Dogg to pay her $4,358 per month, RadarOnline reported.

In 2013, Williams claimed that the court had sanctioned her monthly payment of $3,000. However, she subsequently identified an error in the court order, placing her rightful payments at risk. Williams has petitioned the court to instruct Nate Dogg’s estate to provide her with the support she is owed.

Financial conflicts have persistently plagued Nate Dogg’s family.
Nate Dogg, whose real name was Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, passed away on March 15, 2011, without a will and with an estimated net worth of $1.5 million. His death was attributed to multiple strokes and congestive heart failure complications. He had experienced strokes in both 2007 and 2008 prior to his passing, The New York Times reported.

Nate Dogg’s surviving wife, LaToya Calvin, was in the run to be nominated administrator of his estate, seeking responsibility for managing the rapper’s finances and determining the respective shares for his six surviving children, four daughters and two sons, which has caused some discontent among them, TMZ reported. It is unclear if Calvin was the mother of any of the six kids— Debra, Whitney, Niajel, Milana, Aundrane, and Nathaniel Jr.

In addition to Calvin’s filing for her 2012 order, the rapper’s mother, Ruth Holmes, was also designated as co-administrator.
Nevertheless, the two women have withdrawn their requests following backlash from Nate Dogg’s children, who unanimously favored attorney Alex Borden as the preferred nominee.

Robert De Niro Takes the Stand in Gender Discrimination Case Against Him

Robert De Niro is taking the stand as the first witness in the trial on gender discrimination and retaliation charges against him and his loan-out company, Canal Productions.
The 80-year-old two-time Oscar-winner was spotted arriving at federal court on Monday (October 30) in New York City.
Robert sued Canal’s former VP of production and finance Graham Chase Robinson in August 2019, claiming that she stole millions of frequent-flyer miles and binge-watched Netflix while on the clock.

In July 2021, Graham counter-sued for $12 million, alleging verbal harassment and gender discrimination against Robert.
The countersuit claims that Robert underpaid Graham based on her gender and made “vulgar, inappropriate and gendered comments” to her, according to THR.

Furthermore, Graham alleges that the Taxi Driver actor asked her to perform gendered tasks such as mending clothing and doing laundry.

“[Robert] does not accept the idea that men should treat women as equals. He does not care that gender discrimination in the workplace violates the law. Ms. Robinson is a casualty of this attitude,” the complaint states.
When Robert took the stand on Monday, he pushed back on Graham‘s claims and said that her responsibilities had not changed when her title switched from assistant to VP of finance and production, per the outlet.

“The job is what it is,” Robert said. “The titles were not important.”
He also alleged that Graham was disrespectful to him, citing a disagreement the two had over moving paintings in Robert‘s townhouse.
“I wanted everybody to be happy and play nice,” he said. “Unfortunately that didn’t happen.”

Sha’Carri Richardson Nominated for Women’s World Athlete of the Year Award and Gets Track Named After Her
Track and field world champion Sha’Carri Richardson is one of 11 women up for the 2023 Women’s World Athlete of the Year award.
The World Athletes of the Year nominees were released, and the nominations reflect some of the standout performances achieved at the World Athletics Championships Budapest 23, one-day meeting circuits, Label road races, and other events around the world, per the organization’s website.

Richardson is being recognized for her standout performance at the World Athletic Championships, with gold in the 100 meter and bronze in the 200 meter.
Other nominees for the Women’s World Athlete of the Year Award include Shericka Jackson, Tigist Assefa, Femke Bol, Faith Kipyegon, Haruka Kitaguchi, Yaroslava Mahuchikh, Maria Perez, Gudaf Tsegay, Yulimar Rojas, and Winfred Yavi.

The winner will be announced on December 11th.
In related news, a track in the Dallas school district has been named after Richardson.
The track is located one mile south of Carter High School, which she attended, NBC Sports reports.

The Dallas Independent School District board voted earlier this month to name the track at the Jesse Owens Athletic Complex’s John Kincaide Stadium as Sha’Carri Richardson Track.
“This means so much if you from the city, you know the stadium is rooted in memories,” Richardson posted on social media. “I’m literally speechless.”

According to the district website, naming the track after the athlete serves “as a tribute to Richardson’s remarkable achievements in sports and significant ties to the Dallas community.”

Hollywood Actors and Major Studios Make Progress in Talks, Signaling Possible Deal on Horizon to End Strike

According to CNN It appears the Hollywood actors’ strike is approaching its final scene.
SAG-AFTRA, the union that represents more than 150,000 Hollywood actors, and the AMPTP, the trade group that represents the major studios, have made significant progress in negotiating sessions in recent days, arriving at tentative understandings on key components of a potential deal, according to people familiar with the matter.

That progress has led to hopes that an agreement could be reached as early as this week or next week, the people said. Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, SAG-AFTRA’s chief negotiator, told Variety on Monday from the picket lines, “There has been progress, and that’s the source of my continued cautious optimism.”

While talks continue between the two sides to end the strike that has shuttered production for more than 100 days and pushed back film and television schedules, people familiar with the matter cautioned that there are still contentious matters that remain unresolved.

One such issue, the use of artificial intelligence, has proved to be a sticking point between writers and studios and requires careful examination. Ultimately, erecting guardrails around the emerging technology that the actors have decried as an “existential threat” to their livelihoods has been one of the final items on the agenda during negotiations.

There does, however, appear to be some momentum toward a deal, which could help the two parties solve for such issues. As with the writers’ strike that ended earlier this month after a 148-day standoff, the four big studio chiefs — Disney’s Bob Iger, Warner Bros. Discovery’s David Zaslav, Netflix’s Ted Sarandos, and NBC Universal’s Donna Langley — have been directly involved in negotiations.

SAG-AFTRA told its members early Monday that over the weekend it had “discussed all open proposals,” including A.I., with the studios. The union added that both parties would work independently on Monday before resuming talks together at the Sherman Oaks negotiating table.

A deal can’t come soon enough for both sides. The studios need to resume production if there is any hope that the winter half of the television season can be salvaged. And thousands of actors are in increasingly dire need of a paycheck. If production is not resumed soon, those shortened television seasons will be scrapped, meaning sets will remain empty until next year, regardless of whether a deal is reached in November or December. That would mean actors, crews, and much of the Hollywood industry would have to endure the holiday season out of work.

“I definitely feel that pressure — it’s why I feel such a sense of urgency to get things done,” Crabtree-Ireland told Variety. “That’s why we worked all weekend long, and we’re not taking any time off from trying to push this process forward.”

#HipHopNews: Queen Latifah hoped “Ladies First” would promote unity among women in hip hop
When Queen Latifah signed her first record contract in 1988, she was one of only a few women who had a presence in the male-dominated hip hop scene. The following year, in 1989, she released her debut album, All Hail the Queen, featuring her standout track “Ladies First.”

Her music was unapologetically centered around countering negative stereotypes about Black women, and her hit single was an intentional reminder of this fact. The multifaceted entertainer rehashed the origins of the record as part of the “Class of ’88” limited series podcast hosted by Will Smith. In the episode titled “Follow The Leader,” Smith said that “Ladies First” was both “hardcore” and “revolutionary.”

Latifah, however, said that it was something she had to do. She began, “I had to because how am I going to make myself different from my heroes [MC] Lyte, Salt-N-Pepa, [and] Sweet Tee? How am I going to do this?” She recalled thinking, “I need to carve a path that’s different from them. You know, maybe not so far, but it has to be different, you know, and so that was the goal.”

Delving more into how the record was conceived, the actress explained, “So I decided to call the record ‘Ladies First,’ and so a lot of it was, ‘Why am I beefing with these girls? Why do these girls keep beefing with each other? We can do a lot more if we stood together… i.e., ladies first. Why don’t I just embrace you, and maybe you’ll embrace me and let me encourage you, you know?’ Rather than saying, ‘Why you dissing each other?’… it was more like, ‘Hey, we ladies, let’s do this together. We can do this; we can do more together!’”

As for her iconic crowns that she often wore early on in her career, Latifah comically revealed it was a styling decision to save money. “I can’t afford to get my hair done all the time; I’m ’bout to put these crowns on,” she said as she and Smith began to laugh.

In August, Latifah, Da Brat, Latto, Sweetie, MC Lyte, Roxanne, Remy Ma, Kash Doll, and several others retraced the impact of female artists for the four-part Netflix docuseries “Ladies First: A Story of Women in Hip-Hop.”

Jodie Turner-Smith Steps Out With Mystery Man After Joshua Jackson Split

Jodie Turner-Smith has been spotted out and about with a mystery man. More than three weeks after filing for divorce from Joshua Jackson, the "Queen & Slim" actress was seen attending a Halloween party with the unidentified man.

On Friday, October 28, the 37-year-old actress was caught on camera making her way to the Rande Gerber-hosted Casamigos Halloween Party in Los Angeles with the man. In pictures making their rounds, the two could be seen walking arm-in-arm.

Jodie and the man appeared to have been joined by their female pal. One of the photos captured the three of them heading to the venue with him walking in between the two women. Their female friend also had her hand on the man's arm.
For the bash, Jodie donned a white bra top and paired it with a white-and-black plaid skirt. Over the top, she wore a black jacket. She put on a pair of long white socks, black boots with platform high heels and layers of necklaces to complete the costume. Her hair was styled into a number of big and small braids

The "Sex Education" star appeared at the party after she shockingly filed for divorce on October 2. In the legal documents, she cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind separation from Joshua, her husband of nearly four years. She reportedly also wrote September 13 as the date of the split.

In the papers, Jodie asked for joint custody of their daughter, Janie, and also requested for the option of spousal support to be removed. Her documents further showed that the two have a prenuptial agreement in place.

Jodie and Joshua reportedly called off their marriage due to their hectic schedule. A source revealed to Entertainment Tonight, "Jodie and Joshua's hectic work schedules started to weigh on their relationship starting over a year ago when they were both filming projects and not always in the same place."

The source continued, "They tried to make things work and were taking steps to help their relationship and deal with managing their busy schedules." The source added, "From an outside perspective, things looked great for a while, but privately, they were slowly growing apart."

Flavor Flav delivers viral national anthem performance at Bucks-Hawks game
Flavor Flav is checking off his bucket list. The 64-year-old rapper sang the national anthem Sunday night ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks’ showdown with the Atlanta Hawks, leaving some fans praising the star and some others scratching their heads.

He delivered what the Bucks called a “flavorful” rendition of the anthem wearing his signature clock pendant chain and a No. 59 jersey, referencing the year he was born. The Bucks invited Flav, whose real name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr., to perform.

Naturally, social media users had a lot to say. Some found the decision to book the rapper funny, with one person writing on X, formerly Twitter, “Milwaukee is out of control for this,” adding a string of laughing emojis. “I love it here.”

Others applauded the performance. “Flavor Flav just performed the National Anthem for Bucks-Hawks. I didn’t know I needed this until it happened,” an X user posted on the platform. Another viewer added, “Flavor Flav gave our anthem all the reverence it deserves and then some, and anyone who says otherwise is a certified hater.”

And there certainly were some haters in the bunch. NFL Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe shared a post with a series of facepalm emojis, writing, “NO BOY,” a play on Flav’s famous catchphrase “Yeah, Boy!”

As for Flav, he didn’t seem to care much about the mixed reaction. He addressed the response to his performance in a statement on social media.
“The anthem was a long time bucket list item,,, that was fun!” he wrote on X.
“I can’t live my life worried about what people might say about me. I won’t let that stop me from trying new things and doing things I wanna do. Some people might not like that. But a sure failure is if you stop trying.”

After his performance, Flav took photos with fans, including one boy who held a colorful sign that read “FLAVOR FLAV MY MOM SAYS HI.”

The display has prompted some to point out the hype man’s musical history. Along with being a part of historic rap group Public Enemy, Flav is a talented pianist and also plays several instruments, Public Enemy frontman Chuck D once said.
Social media users weighed on the performance through the night and, among the jokes were some more compassionate reactions.

“I know some people may think this is silly but Flavor Flav said this was on his bucket list,” an X user posted. “He’s had a long career and he’s getting old so it’s important to do things you want to do while you can. I’m glad he got to check this off his list, I hope he had fun.”

Longest-serving Black congressional staffer, Bertie Bowman, dies at 92

Congress’ longest-serving Black staffer, Herbert “Bertie” Bowman, who worked his way up  from sweeping the steps of the Capitol as a teenager to coordinating one of the Senate’s most important committees, died this week. He was 92.
Bowman died on Wednesday, Oct. 25, at a rehabilitation facility in North Bethesda, Maryland, of  complications related to recent heart surgeries, Bowman’s stepdaughter LaUanah King-Cassell told The Washington Post.

Born the fifth of 14 children to sharecroppers in South Carolina, Bowman wrote in his 2008 autobiography “Step by Step” that his life changed in 1944 when, during a visit to his  hometown, South Carolina Sen. Burnet Maybank told residents: “If you all ever get up to Washington, D.C., drop by and see me!”

Bowman, 13 at the time, took the senator’s word for it and ran away from home. He paid a visit to Maybank, who helped him secure a job sweeping the Capitol steps for $2 a week, according to his autobiography.

During more than 60 years in D.C., Bowman garnered a reputation for doing it all — he worked as a janitor, a cook and a shoe-shiner. He also bore witness to some of the most consequential periods in U.S. history, including Brown v. Board of Education, the Supreme Court decision ending legal segregation in schools, the Vietnam War and the Watergate scandal, among others.
In the 1960s, Bowman became a clerk for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and later a hearing coordinator, according to CBS News. In 1966, he joined the U.S. Senate Federal Credit Union as a volunteer on the credit committee and would go on to become a board member and chair.

Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md., now the chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, paid tribute to Bowman on Oct. 25.
“To remember the life of Bertie Bowman is to remember his integrity and his steadfast dedication to public service,” Cardin said in a statement. “He imprinted himself on the work and lives of every member that had the privilege to serve on our Committee across both sides of the aisle, and did so with honor, decency, and kindness.”

On the Foreign Relations Committee, Bowman had the chance to work with President Barack Obama and befriend Bill Clinton, who  was a clerk for the committee years before his presidential election in 1992.
Bowman became a mentor to the young Clinton, who later would write the foreword to Bowman’s autobiography.
“Folks like Bertie don’t make the newspapers, and the American people usually will never know their names, but they work hard every day to get done all the things the people in the papers get credit for,” Clinton wrote.

Bowman was also a board member of the federal credit union for over 46 years, including two years as chair, making him its longest-serving board member. In 2019, the credit union named its new headquarters after him, and in 2021, it designated Bowman as an emeritus board member.

“Bowman was not simply a giant among men; he was a revered icon on Capitol Hill, the very conscience of the Credit Union, and, above all, an unwavering servant to his community,” the credit union’s president and CEO, Timothy L. Anderson, said in a statement.

On Wednesday, those who knew Bowman posted tributes on social media to his memory, including John Kerry, the former Massachusetts senator who is now the special presidential envoy for climate.
“[I]f you served on or appeared in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, you knew the big smile, the booming laugh, and the bear hug of Bertie Bowman,” Kerry wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “His title may have been ‘hearing coordinator’ but it could’ve just as easily been ‘heart and soul.’”

Kanye West Faces New Accusations of Making Shocking Requests and Creating Toxic Environment for Adidas Executives
Kanye West is in the news again over more anti-Semitic statements, including allegedly telling a Jewish manager at Adidas to kiss a picture of Hitler daily.
The New York Times reports that Ye — who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder — began his first meeting with Adidas back in 2013 with anti-Semitism when he allegedly drew a swastika on a shoe to show how offended he was by the teams’ designs.

The exposé also claimed that the “Donda” artist often subjected the Adidas team to his tears and fury and once forced Adidas executives to watch pornography to find creativity.
“He later advised a Jewish Adidas manager to kiss a picture of Hitler every day,” reports the New York Times. “And he told a member of the company’s executive board that he had paid a seven-figure settlement to one of his own senior employees who accused him of repeatedly praising the architect of the Holocaust.”

West also allegedly told Adidas executives that he admired Hitler’s propaganda skills. The Adidas executives reportedly tolerated Ye’s frequent outbursts and tried to appease him due to their lucrative partnership.
His Adidas shoes, Yeezys, made over $1 billion annually. In 2015, West was also accused of upsetting Adidas staff with “angry, sexually crude comments” while preparing for the first Yeezy collection at New York Fashion Week.

The 46-year-old also allegedly “hurled shoes around the room” during a 2019 meeting with Adidas executives and claimed “this is slavery” multiple times during the Adidas partnership.

The company finally ended the business relationship last October after West posted he was going “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE” on Twitter, the platform now known as X. The company claimed it “has no tolerance for hate speech and offensive behavior, which is why the company terminated the Adidas Yeezy partnership.”

One fan remarked, “He needs to be put in a mental health facility with a 5150. Today.” Another added, “And they still wanted to work with him.”
According to Forbes, West’s net worth dropped to $400 million following the end of his Adidas partnership. Adidas announced in March that they would be selling their remaining supply of Yeezy sneakers. The company reported $437 million worth of Yeezy sales last quarter.

Bridgerton's Ruby Barker Slams Netflix, Shondaland for Not Reaching Out Amid Two Psychotic Breaks

Ruby Barker is speaking out against Netflix and Shonda Rhimes‘ production company, Shondaland.
The 26-year-old actress, who played Marina Thompson on Bridgerton, got very candid with her experience with the streamer in an appearance on the LOAF Podcast over the weekend.

During the podcast, Ruby said that she suffered two psychotic breaks, including one shortly after filming wrapped in 2019 and another in 2022.
She went on to say she received “no support” from Netflix amid her struggles, nor was there “aftercare” even while dealing with sudden stardom.

“When I went into hospital a week after shooting Bridgerton Season One it was really covered up and kept on the down-low because the show was going to be coming out,” she explained.
“During filming I was deteriorating. It was a really tormenting place for me to be because my character was very alienated, very ostracized, on her own under these horrible circumstances,” she continued.

“Not a single person from Netflix, not a single person from Shondaland since I have had two psychotic breaks from that show have even contacted me or even emailed me to ask if I’m okay or if I would benefit from any sort of aftercare or support. Nobody.”

“In the run up to the show coming out I was just coming out from hospital, my Instagram following was going up, I had all these engagements to do,” Ruby went on to say.
“My life was changing drastically overnight and yet there was still no support and there still hasn’t been any support all that time. So I was trying really really hard to act like it was okay and that I could work and that it wasn’t a problem.”

“It’s almost like I had this metaphorical invisible gun to my head to sell this show because this show is bubbly and fun. I don’t wanna come out and poo-poo on that because then I might never work again!” she added.

Sesame Street Reveals Format Changes, New Cartoon Segment for Season 56
Sesame Street will unspool longer stories and at long last take viewers inside the iconic 123 address, as part of a “reimagining” of the program on tap for the 2025-26 TV season.
As detailed by our sister site THR.com, Season 56 of the long-running children’s series, which should premiere about two years from now, will set aside its well-known “magazine”-style format so as to accommodate a pair of 11-minute, “narrative-driven” story segments.

“Both the A story and the B story will come together in some way to really help us with whatever curricular focus that we’re trying to have,” Kay Wilson Stallings, an EVP and chief creative development and production officer for Sesame Workshop, explained to THR. “Kids love a little bit of peril, they love having emotional stakes, and in nine minutes it’s kind of hard to really dive into those areas really effectively” — ergo the longer blocks of stories that can be more “dynamic” and “sophisticated.”

Inserted between the two story segments will be Tales From 123, a new animated series that via five-minute segments “for the very first time will give viewers an opportunity to go inside 123 Sesame Street, which is probably the most famous apartment building in the world,” said Wilson Stallings. “And there, beyond the stoop, is where monsters and humans and fairies and dinosaurs and talking numbers and letters and even food will call home.”

Other changes on tap for Season 56 include “a signature song” in every episode (hopefully sung on occasion by a famous singer), and having the Muppet characters speak to the camera, to the moppets watching at home.
Of note, Warner Bros. Discovery’s current deal to stream the series on Max expires with Season 55, so the reimagined Season 56 might feature a new home, as well.

Sesame Street Season 54 premieres Thursday, Nov. 9 on Max, with the new episodes airing on PBS some nine months later.

John Legend says stepping back from social media is 'truly better for my mental health'

The Unwind is Yahoo Life's well-being series in which experts, influencers and celebrities share their approaches to wellness and mental health, from self-care rituals to setting healthy boundaries to the mantras that keep them afloat.
Like a lot of folks, John Legend has figured out that he needs to take a step back from social media sometimes.

"I used to be on social media a lot more than I am now. I generally post more on Instagram and some on TikTok, but I kind of stopped posting on Twitter," the Voice star tells Yahoo Life, noting that the platform now known as X has become "a little too toxic." "After a while, having that much transparency between you and your audience — not just coming from you, but also coming to you — all the incoming [discourse], it was just a lot. After a while, I was just like, 'You know, I don't need that.' And it's truly better for my mental health. I just found it better for my mental health to stay away."

Calling himself "pretty unflappable," Legend says there's not that much that stresses him out in his daily life. "It's not because I'm some master meditator or something like that," he adds. "I'm built this way. I've been like this my whole life and I'm probably more calm now just with experience."

Of course, staying calm when you've got four children at home is no simple task. Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, are the parents of Luna, 7, Miles, 5, Esti, 8 months, and Wren, 4 months; their youngest was delivered by surrogate just months after Teigen gave birth to his older sister. But Legend is quick to point out that the chaos at home is the joyful type.

"We've got four kids, two babies. So it's always an adventure in our house, but it just makes it more fun. It's just a lot more energy and excitement at home," he says, noting that it was always Teigen's dream to have four children. "Chrissy loves chaos. And not only is it us, but we have friends over at the house all the time. We have people that work with us, nannies, all kinds of folks in the house all the time. We love to cook for people, we love to be social and we love to entertain. We like that kind of chaos."

In addition to making a concerted effort to maintain his mental health, Legend works hard to care for himself physically with a solid diet and exercise regimen. "I do some cardio and some weights, nothing too crazy or innovative," he shares, adding that he likes to get a workout in every morning in the family's garage gym before taking the kids to school. Due to a long family history of high cholesterol and high blood pressure, Legend also makes sure to keep an eye on both of those things, while keeping an "everything in moderation" perspective on food and alcohol.

Another way the EGOT winner stays healthy is by getting the latest COVID-19 vaccine. Legend has teamed up with Pfizer ahead of the holiday season to raise awareness about the shot.
"Some people feel like it's controversial to talk about vaccines," he says. "To me, it's just intuitive."

Legend's motivation to get vaccinated it simple: "I want to protect my family, and I want to encourage other people to do the same." That said, he acknowledges that some folks are skeptical.
"There's a lot of misinformation out there," Legend notes. "I think a lot of people have a general kind of distrust of the authority, or mandates or the establishment, and I understand that. What I tried to rely on is, I talked to my doctor, not any random person on Facebook. I believe if you listen to the experts, the evidence and the recommendation of the medical community is very clear. And I'd rather listen to them than a random average Joe on the internet."

Jonathan Majors’ Bodybuilding Movie Yanked from Disney Release Schedule Ahead of His Assault Trial |
Disney has removed a film project starring actor Jonathan Majors – who is set to stand trial for assault next month – from its release calendar.
“Magazine Dreams,” a movie in which Majors plays an amateur bodybuilder, was originally slated for release on December 8. In an email shared with CNN on Friday, the studio indicated the film no longer has a release date.

The movie was directed by Elijah Bynum and also stars Haley Bennett. It was acquired by Searchlight after receiving acclaim at Sundance earlier this year.
Other schedule changes noted in Disney’s email included the studio’s live-action reimagining of “Snow White” starring Rachel Zegler, which has been pushed back one year from March 2024 to March 2025.

Majors, who appeared in this year’s “Creed III” and Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” is charged with assault and aggravated harassment related to a March 25 incident involving his former girlfriend Grace Jabbari.

Earlier this week, a New York judge denied a motion to dismiss the assault case against actor Majors, moving the case forward to trial, which is expected to begin on November 29.
Through his attorney, Majors has denied the allegations against him.
CNN has previously reached out to representatives for Majors for comment.

His attorney Priya Chaudhry said in a statement to CNN in August that Majors “has had his life, career, and reputation torn apart” as a result of the charges.

Majors was featured in “Quantumania” as one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s next major villains, and has portrayed a version of the character over both seasons of the Disney+ Marvel series “Loki.”
The character, known as Kang, is also currently set to be featured in two upcoming “Avengers” sequels for Marvel, scheduled in 2026 and 2027.

Biden Signs Sweeping Order On Artificial Intelligence
President Joe Biden signed a wide-ranging executive order on artificial intelligence Monday, setting the stage for some industry regulations and funding for the U.S. government to further invest in the technology. The order is broad, and its focuses range from civil rights and industry regulations to a government hiring spree.

In a media call previewing the order Sunday, a senior White House official, who asked to not be named as part of the terms of the call, said AI has so many facets that effective regulations have to cast a wide net. “AI policy is like running into a decathlon, and there’s 10 different events here,” the official said.

Via press release from the White House:
As AI’s capabilities grow, so do its implications for Americans’ safety and security. With this Executive Order, the President directs the most sweeping actions ever taken to protect Americans from the potential risks of AI systems:
– Require that developers of the most powerful AI systems share their safety test results and other critical information with the U.S. government. In accordance with the Defense Production Act, the Order will require that companies developing any foundation model that poses a serious risk to national security, national economic security, or national public health and safety must notify the federal government when training the model, and must share the results of all red-team safety tests. These measures will ensure AI systems are safe, secure, and trustworthy before companies make them public.

– Develop standards, tools, and tests to help ensure that AI systems are safe, secure, and trustworthy. The National Institute of Standards and Technology will set the rigorous standards for extensive red-team testing to ensure safety before public release. The Department of Homeland Security will apply those standards to critical infrastructure sectors and establish the AI Safety and Security Board.
The Departments of Energy and Homeland Security will also address AI systems’ threats to critical infrastructure, as well as chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and cybersecurity risks. Together, these are the most significant actions ever taken by any government to advance the field of AI safety.

– Protect against the risks of using AI to engineer dangerous biological materials by developing strong new standards for biological synthesis screening. Agencies that fund life-science projects will establish these standards as a condition of federal funding, creating powerful incentives to ensure appropriate screening and manage risks potentially made worse by AI.
– Protect Americans from AI-enabled fraud and deception by establishing standards and best practices for detecting AI-generated content and authenticating official content. The Department of Commerce will develop guidance for content authentication and watermarking to clearly label AI-generated content. Federal agencies will use these tools to make it easy for Americans to know that the communications they receive from their government are authentic—and set an example for the private sector and governments around the world.

– Establish an advanced cybersecurity program to develop AI tools to find and fix vulnerabilities in critical software, building on the Biden-Harris Administration’s ongoing AI Cyber Challenge. Together, these efforts will harness AI’s potentially game-changing cyber capabilities to make software and networks more secure.
