Former Presidential Candidate Herman Cain Dies Following Battle With Coronavirus!
Herman Cain has died following a battle with coronavirus, his team announced on his official website.
“We knew when he was first hospitalized with COVID-19 that this was going to be a rough fight. He had trouble breathing and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. We all prayed that the initial meds they gave him would get his breathing back to normal, but it became clear pretty quickly that he was in for a battle,” the website said. “... There were hopeful indicators, including a mere five days ago when doctors told us they thought he would eventually recover, although it wouldn’t be quick. We were relieved to be told that, and passed on the news via Herman’s social media. And yet we also felt real concern about the fact that he never quite seemed to get to the point where the doctors could advance him to the recovery phase.”

Cain was hospitalized for COVID-19 less than two weeks after attending President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he was reportedly not wearing a mask. Several others who attended, including some Trump campaign staffers, had also tested positive for the virus.
Cain was the former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza and was briefly the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination in 2011. Previously, he had beaten cancer in 2006.

He was 74 years old.

Trump Suggests Unprecedented Delay to November Election — But Congress Sets the Date!
The dates of federal elections are set by Congress, and the Constitution makes no provisions for a delay to the Jan. 20, 2021 presidential inauguration.

Amber Hill, other family members and members of King Hill’s Strawberry Mansion community came together Wednesday to mark what would have been the missing boy’s third birthday. King’s babysitter is charged in his death.

President Trump on Thursday suggested delaying November's presidential election, an unprecedented move as polls show him trailing his likely opponent Joe Biden by double digits.
Notwithstanding his suggestion, the dates of federal elections are set by Congress, and the Constitution makes no provisions for a delay to the Jan. 20 inauguration.
Any such move would require a change of federal law, meaning it would need to go through Democrats in the House of Representatives in addition to the Republican-controlled Senate. (The Congressional Research Service actually weighed in on this topic in March, specifically noting that a president has no legal authority to change the date of the election.)
"With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???" the president tweeted, making his latest unsubstantiated allegation that increased mail-in voting will result in fraud.
President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he is canceling part of the Republican National Convention which was set to be held in Jacksonville, Florida, as coronavirus cases continue to climb in the state. The...Read more
While there have been isolated cases, such as in New Jersey in May, there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud through mail-in voting, even in states with all-mail votes.
There was instant outraged reaction from Democrats to Trump's suggestion, and even some top GOP figures warned the president against raising the idea.

"There will be no delay in the #2020Election. Congress sets the election date, and it should not be changed. It will be held on November 3rd, as planned and required by law," Illinois Rep. Rodney Davis, the ranking Republican member of the House Administration Committee, tweeted.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, a Harvard Law graduate himself, declined to say when asked at a Senate hearing whether the president had the authority to delay the election. Instead, he said it was a question best left to the Justice Department.

The tweet comes amid widespread polling suggesting the president trails Democrat Joe Biden by double digits with less than 100 days until the vote. The latest Wall Street Journal / NBC News poll had Biden leading Trump by 11 points, and more recent NBC News / Marist polls have put Biden ahead in key battleground states like Arizona and North Carolina.

#RHOA: Eva Marcille Reveals If She Would Ever Return To 'RHOA,' Claims Series Searches For 'Buffoonery'!
Is Eva Marcille having second thoughts about her decision to walk away from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta?"
After the former "America's Next Top Model" contestant announced weeks ago that she would not be featured on the Bravo reality series' 13th season, which began production recently in Georgia, Eva appeared on her ex-co-star Kandi Burruss's YouTube series, "Speak on It," and discussed the possibility of returning to the show while also explaining what would be the deciding factor for such a thing.

“If they came back to you and were like Eva, we really want you to come back. We need you. We want you to come back, would you even consider it?” Kandi asked Eva on her show, according to a report from KISS 95.1 on July 29.
“Are they gonna change the show?” Eva asked in response.
“The show is what it is,” Kandi explained.
According to Eva, she wouldn't consider returning to "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" because she believes the series isn't focused on the right things.
“Kandi, you’re gonna make me tear up. Because of you, because of Cynthia. You guys have been such a proper representation of Black women on TV," Eva explained, adding, "We don’t have that."
Continuing on about the direction of reality television, Eva suggested that "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" producers hunt for "the buffoonery" and focus on people who are "going to flip over the table or who’s going to act crazy."

"Or who’s going to bring up someone’s slanderous f*cked up past. That’s what this show is for us and the idea that you can sign up knowing that’s what it is,” Eva explained.
“There’s only one you and there’s only one Cynthia. I can’t be Cynthia. I can only be me," Eva continued, adding that producers "won’t let me be."
While there were rumors of a potential firing around the time Eva confirmed her exit from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," she told Kandi she was not let go from the show.

"It’s not about them wanting me. I was never not asked to come back. No one ever said we don’t want you. But it’s not going to change the show… I don’t feel like it’s [positive images] highlighted properly on the show,” she shared.
Eva also noted during her interview with Kandi that when it comes to her brand, she doesn't believe "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" has impacted her business in a positive way.

“Some people have come into fame from the show. I already have a brand and it’s detrimental to my brand,” Eva said. “I feel like I’m playing a game with people and some are playing chess and some are playing checkers."

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 13 is expected to air on Bravo sometime late this year or early next year.

#MusicNews: Donell Jones Announces The Release Date for His Upcoming Album!
R&B fans have been waiting for what seems like forever for a new album from Donell Jones. The singer has hinted through the years about working on an upcoming album but nothing has come to fruition.
It appears that’s all about to change since Donell Jones has just taken to his official Instagram account to announce the release date of his new album. The currently untitled project is set to release on November 11th, 2020. Donell would go on to add about the album:

I’m excited about making new music for y’all and I promise it will be a masterpiece and the best part is this album will be completely free to download from my website. It’s my gift to you for rocking with me for all these years. Another album will follow shortly after in 2021. I’m in the process now, I’m going to release something this year. I really want to release something for my birthday, like a single or something like that. I’m ready, I’ve been working for a long time. It’s going to have a Donell Jones feel. I can’t say it’s going to have a 90’s feel, I never changed my style, I’ll keep doing what I do.

This will be Donell’s seventh studio album overall and the first since he gave us “Forever” back in 2013. Since then, he collaborated with Jon B. on the hit single “Understand” last year.

She posted flowers and a note from Bey that reads “Queen, sending you all my love.” Rihanna also sent a flower arrangement to Meg, who’s an ambassador for the singer’s Savage X Fenty brand.
Rapper Tory Lanez allegedly shot Meg following a dispute in LA. Without naming the shooter, Meg revealed this week that she was hit in both feet and required surgery.

#SPLITSVILLE! Tracy Morgan And Wife Megan Wollover Have agreed to Divorce!
It’s over for Tracy Morgan and wife Megan Wollover. “Sadly, after nearly five years of marriage, Megan and I are filing for divorce. This is a challenging time for all involved, so I ask that you please respect our privacy,” Morgan confirmed in a statement to Page Six Wednesday.
The “30 Rock” actor, 51, and Wollover, 33, wed in August 2015 following Morgan’s recovery from a fatal car crash that killed comedian James McNair.
The soon-to-be-exes share 7-year-old daughter Maven Sonae. Morgan is also father to adult children Gitrid, 34, Malcom, 32, and Tracy Jr., 28, whom he shares with ex-wife Sabina Morgan.
The stand-up recently joked about impregnating his wife while under quarantine during an awkward video chat with “Today.”

“Me and my wife have been quarantined in here for like three weeks, so she’s pregnant three times,” Morgan said during the morning show. “Every week she got pregnant, and we’re also role playing a lot now. We’re role playing.
“She’s playing a young maiden whose grandfather was infected with coronavirus,” he explained. “And I’m the scientist who discovered the cure, and she’ll do anything to save her grandfather’s life, and I mean anything.”

Neither Morgan nor Wollover have confirmed an actual pregnancy.

Garth Brooks Asks to Be Taken Out of Consideration for CMAs’ Entertainer of the Year Category!
Country superstar Garth Brooks announced Wednesday that he is attempting to withdraw himself from consideration for entertainer of the year, the top prize at the CMA Awards, which he won last November for a seventh time, saying it’s time to let a new generation take the honor.
In a press conference held via Zoom, Brooks told reporters that he was aware of some backlash after winning the top prize last November for the third time in four years. Rather than take exception to it, he said that one tweet he saw in particular stuck with him and convinced him he should bow out of consideration. “For eight months, it has bothered me,” he admitted, saying he now has a “free feeling” in yanking himself from eligibility — or trying to.

“You guys pretty much saw what happened after the CMAs all the way through the new year,” Brooks told a few dozen reporters who dialed in. “And it got a little.. I don’t know, it wasn’t fun. Let’s put it that way, okay? And at my age, what I do is fun stuff. But there was one tweet in there that really stuck in my head, that said, ‘Hey man, this guy, why doesn’t he step down and just have the entertainer be for the next generation?’ One hundred percent agree. One hundred percent agreed,” he repeated. “So with all the love in the world, all the gratefulness — because the last thing I wanted to do is seem ungrateful to the CMAs and everybody that has voted for us — we are officially pulling ourselves out of entertainer of the year. And my (lucky) number is seven. You guys know that… It’s time for somebody else to hold that award, know what (being) that entertainer (winner) feels like, because they’re all out there busting their butts.”

Brooks said he has had discussions about this with the Country Music Association since the beginning of the year, and suggested that there be some sort of “emeritus” proclamation in removing him from eligibility. But he says he was told he can’t unilaterally remove himself if members still want to nominate him. A narrowed down ballot goes out to voters Friday, and Brooks said he is still trying to get himself taken off it so one more performer can slide into the spot he would have taken. But if he is unsuccessful in that, he added, he will just rely on CMA voters honoring his request by not casting votes for him in this final preliminary round.

The conversation he had with the CMA, he said, was to see “if we could establish some kind of entertainer of the year emeritus kind of thing. And they were very sweet to entertain that thought. So they had meetings — and we were supposed to announce at CMA Music Fest” that he was taking himself out of the running. “Of course, with the Covid, that (festival) got pushed out as well. And they came back and said, ‘Hey, look, as much as we’d love to help you on this, we can’t determine what artist is up for what award.’ And I totally get that. They tried really hard. And so when we told them we were going to have this press conference, they went back and had another meeting — very sweet of them to go through all of this — and they just came back and said, ‘It’s not our call. We cannot pull you out of an award.’ So today we sit here and humbly ask, with all the gratefulness and love in the world, that we are going to do it ourselves. We’re going to pull ourselves out of entertainer of the year.”

Brooks added that he is fine with being up for any other award from the CMA, and actually hopes to win video of the year for “Dive Bar,” his duet with Blake Shelton. “That would be a fun night. Make no mistake, I’m very competitive and these awards mean the world to me,” he said. “It’s just that with entertainer, we’ve been lucky enough to carry that home a number of times and feel like it’s somebody else’s turn.”
Brooks also noted that the suspense of waiting on the entertainer award at the end of a three-hour ceremony makes the event less fun, and he’s looking forward to relaxing more at future iterations of the show, as “I get to hold the hand of the most beautiful woman in the world,” his wife, Trisha Yearwood.

One reporter, Becca Walls, pointed out to Brooks that last year a gasp went up in the press room when his name was announced, but it wasn’t because anyone held enmity against Brooks for winning it again — it had more to do, she said, with the fact that there was a publicity buildup over the 2019 telecast representing “the year of the woman” in country, and there had been an expectation that the lone female nominee, Carrie Underwood, who is considered long overdue by many, might have carried the honor.
Brooks responded that he was aware of the sentiment favoring Underwood — which he acknowledged himself in the press room that night — and said that he expects her to get it in the next couple of years. “I’m expecting to give a standing ovation to Carrie,” Brooks said.

But he also allowed that it may be difficult for voters to figure out who to give the entertainer award to — an honor that traditionally is more akin to “top touring attraction of the year” than something based on recording achievement — when the concert calendar has gone completely dark.
“This is probably the perfect year for it,” he said, in reference to bowing out, “because I don’t know how they’re going to judge entertainer this year.”

Brooks took questions about how he and Yearwood subjected themselves to a two-week quarantine recently, and both came out testing negative. “Our daughter tested positive, but we hadn’t seen our daughter in over the time (of two weeks for symptoms to evidence) when she tested. So we were fine there, but yet her husband works with us every day, so that was the possible scare. So everybody went and got tested.” He added that his daughter is “feeling great. And we thank everybody for their concern.”

Brooks has not been inactive during the national lockdowns — he filmed a concert with his band that went out to hundreds of drive-ins — but said the quarantine has stretched his relationship with Yearwood.
“You’re really gonna find out a lot about the person you’re with, for sure,” he said. “And me and Miss Yearwood — I don’t know why we do this, maybe because we’re both alphas … (but) we decided to use quarantine to face everything, because now you can’t leave, can’t walk away. … This has probably been the most we’ve ever gone through as a couple. But what’s on the other side is so dang great, especially when you’re with the right one. … The more you find out about somebody that you’re already in love with, the more you love them. That makes me a lucky man.” He added, “Trisha Yearwood might be the sweetest person on the planet, so if Trisha wants to kill you, you need to work on yourself. That’s kind of what I’ve learned. But she has a sweet sense of letting you figure it out yourself.”

On the live front, Brooks has been engaged in an on-again, off-again stadium tour that began in 2019 and that he still expects to wrap up in the summer of 2022, although that’s dependent on rescheduling some dates he’s already had to miss. After that, he will continue to tour, but possibly on a different scale. Asked if he thinks arena dates might have to replace stadium dates next year or the year after, he considered the possibility: “I want to play no matter what I just do. I want to play. If it’s five people, if it’s 5 million, I don’t care. I just want to play. So I had never thought of that, but I can’t imagine them letting 10,000 people sit next to each other and not 80,000. But if that’s the rule, then you can bet we’re gonna figure out how to get in that game, because it means you’re getting to play music live for people.”

As of recently, Kardashian was spotted in Cody, Wyoming for a reunion with West after a number of public troubles. It was a move that reportedly required convincing from Justin Bieber. She has since returned to Los Angeles one day after her visit. The appearance comes after the rapper's presidential rally, Twitter rants and the E! star's public statement on his bipolar disorder. Since lashing out, the former has publicly apologized for the outbursts. "I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter. I did not cover her like she has covered me," the rapper tweeted on Saturday. "To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me."

“Pose” Stars Angelica Ross And Indya Moore Speak Out After Emmys Snub Black Trans Actresses!
The stars of FX’s hit show #Pose are speaking out against the Emmys, claiming Black Trans actors are being snubbed.
On Tuesday, the list of Emmy nominees were all announced. Rachel Brosnahan, Ted Danson, Issa Rae, Meryl Streep, and more were just some of the names listed on the ballot. Billy Porter was also one of the contenders. However, none of his co-stars were nominated despite the exceptional performances that have been witnessed on the series in its three seasons. Because of that, Pose stars Angelica Ross and Indya Moore are speaking out against the Television Academy for failing to recognize and or blatantly ignoring Transgender actors.

“Pose” takes place in the 1980s, and details the life of New York City’s Black and Latinx LGBTQ ballroom scene. A community and culture that is finally being amplified and respected today. However, Moore pointed out the irony in how no Trans actresses were nominated on a show that literally is about them and their life. “Something abt trans ppl not being honored on a show abt trans ppl who created a culture to honor ourselves bc the world doesn’t,” tweeted Moore, who plays “Angel Evangelista” on the show. “Let’s call it cognitive dissonance.”

She continued, “But also, look at the weak ass promotion. Most of us have never been on any talk shows except MJ, here and there,” Moore said in another tweet, in response to a fan who claimed the Emmys only votes for “names they know.” Ross, who plays “Candy Ferocity” on the show, also shared her disappointment with the Academy. “I want you to know from the jump that these tears are not about an award or a nomination,” said Ross. “Ultimately, I need y’all to understand that I’m so tired — those of you who know me know I’m not just working on screen or behind screen, but I’m working around the clock to get our society to value trans lives and Black trans lives.”

Aside from being actresses, Moore and Ross are heavily committed to social change. Moore was named

Jeff Bezos’ Ex-Wife, MacKenzie Scott, Donates Millions to HBCU’s!
*MacKenzie Scott — formerly MacKenzie Bezos — has given nearly $1.7 billion to various charities, including several HBCUs.
Scott 50, reportedly the third richest woman in the world, bagged $38 billion after her 2019 divorce from Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.
“Like many, I watched the first half of 2020 with a mixture of heartbreak and horror,” Scott wrote in a Medium article on Tuesday. “Life will never stop finding fresh ways to expose inequities in our systems; or waking us up to the fact that a civilization this imbalanced is not only unjust, but also unstable. What fills me with hope is the thought of what will come if each of us reflects on what we can offer.”
“I began work to complete my pledge with the belief that my life had yielded two assets that could be of particular value to others: the money these systems helped deliver to me, and a conviction that people who have experience with inequities are the ones best equipped to design solutions,” she continued.

“Last fall, I asked a team of non-profit advisors with key representation from historically marginalized race, gender, and sexual identity groups to help me find and assess organizations having major impact on a variety of causes. Though this work is ongoing and will last for years, I’m posting an update today because my own reflection after recent events revealed a dividend of privilege I’d been overlooking: the attention I can call to organizations and leaders driving change,” she added.
According to Scott, she has donated around $586 million to organizations including:

Racial Equity: $ 586,700,000
LGBTQ+ Equity: $ 46,000,000
Gender Equity: $ 133,000,000
Economic Mobility: $ 399,500,000
Empathy & Bridging Divides: $ 55,000,000
Functional Democracy: $ 72,000,000
Public Health: $ 128,300,000
Global Development: $ 130,000,000
Climate Change: $ 125,000,000

Howard University, Xavier University of Louisiana and Hampton University were all beneficiaries of her massive donation, CBS reports.
“I would like to thank Ms. Mackenzie Scott for her investment into Howard University and our 153-year mission of serving a diverse community of dynamic scholars who come here for an education and leave here with purpose to serve the world,” Howard University President Wayne A. I. Frederick said in a statement. “We plan to immediately put this eight-figure gift to good use to support components of our 5-year strategic plan to help students graduate on time, retain our talented faculty, enhance our campus infrastructure and support academic innovation and entrepreneurship.”

Meek Mill Is Rumored To Have Another Baby On The Way!
Meek Mill is rumored to be expecting another baby, which could be why he broke up with Milan Harris.
Could Meek Mill have broken up with Milan Harris in an attempt to distract the masses from an even larger story? As reported by ItsOnSite, a gossip website run by Rah Ali, the rapper is expecting another little one according to an anonymous source.
This should be taken with a grain of salt. Meek Mill has not addressed this rumor but, apparently, he is said to be expecting another baby. This time, it's not with Milan.
Sharing a text message thread with the tipster, the gossip site reported on the rumors.

"Hey Girl, So word on the street it that Meek Mill has another baby and before it leaks out to the media he wanted it to be known that him and Malino are not together so social media won’t bash him. I’ll keep you posted," wrote the source.
His timing was apparently pretty calculated, which could be why Milan responded with some shade.

As of now, this is just talk. There is no proof to back up these claims and Meek has not said anything about them.
Recently, Meek announced his split with Milano, telling the world that they will be co-parenting their little one as separate units. His beef with DJ Akademiks is also causing a stir this morning as a video of the blogger has been making the rounds, claiming that he called the cops on Meek after he set a "green light" on him.

Madonna’s Coronavirus Conspiracy Theory Post Flagged by Instagram!
Continuing in her coronavirus-related foolishness, Madonna posted a video about a coronavirus conspiracy theory to Instagram and was subsequently flagged by Instagram for spreading misinformation. The viral video, which was also tweeted by President Trump before getting taken down by Twitter, makes a number of unsubstantiated claims about coronavirus. “The truth will set us all Free! But some people dont want to hear the truth,” Madonna wrote in her caption, also claiming that authorities were hiding the cure for the coronavirus.
Instagram debunked the claims from the video on Madonna’s post, noting that there is no known cure for the coronavirus. The post was eventually taken down from Instagram altogether. This is not Madonna’s first foray into coronavirus weirdness; she posted a video back in May claiming she was going to “breathe in the COVID-19 air” after testing positive for antibodies. Before that, she informed us from her bathtub that COVID-19 is “the great equalizer.”

High Point University Student Paul Arnold Steber Accused Of Planning A Campus Shooting Pleads Guilty; Gets Probation and a Suspended Sentence!
Paul Arnold Steber, 19, a High Point University student has pleaded guilty in an arranged plea deal in court after being accused of planning a shooting on campus. He was found in his dorm room in possession of two guns and ammunition. After being arrested, he reportedly informed police that he only came to the University because he wanted to be in the state of North Carolina, where it would be easier for him to get a gun.

The 19-year-old college student was taken into custody and charged with two felony counts of weapons on campus or other educational property and one count of communicating a threat of mass violence on educational property.
In court, it was revealed by the district attorney that Steber had been contemplating a campus shooting since December 2019. He continued that Steber had researched mass shooting and watch footage of the tragic incident in Charleston, South Carolina.

Court documents state that Steber allegedly had a “plan and timeline to kill people.”
As part of the negotiated plea deal, Steber pleaded guilty to the charge of possession of a firearm on education property. In exchange for that plea, the court dismissed the second charge of having weapons on campus or other educational property and a count of communicating a threat of mass violence on educational property.
The judge gave Steber a suspended minimum sentence of 5 months up to a maximum of 15 months, “a 72-day split sentence with credit for time served, followed by 24 months of supervised probation”.  Reports state that his probation is not to exceed 30 months.

During the first year of his probation, Steber is required to perform 100 hours of community service. He is also not allowed on High Point University property or contact any of the Universities’ staff or students.
High Point University responded to Steber’s plea deal in an official statement that stated:
“The university understands that this plea deal continues banning the former student from all campus property and banning him from contacting any students or staff.” We continue to commend the students who reported this situation, as well as the quick action taken by HPU Security and the High Point Police Department. Their quick action demonstrates caring for the campus community at its finest. Remember: If you see something, say something.”

Steber has since been expelled from the UniversityUniversity.
