#RHOA: NeNe Leakes snags amazing holiday gig

Life after “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” has been good to NeNe Leakes. Not only has she been able to do Broadway, but she’s also launched a clothing line and landed a gig on a new ABC game show. Now, Leakes can add another notch of accomplishment to her belt, as it’s been revealed that she’ll join NBC’s “New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly” this year.

According to Us Magazine, Leakes will be a part of the annual comedy panel in Times Square, alongside Andy Cohen, Whitney Cummings and Rob Riggle, on Thursday, Dec. 31. Carson’s “The Voice” co-star Gwen Stefani will also be there to perform her new single “Used To Love U.”

The show will be preceded by “New Year’s Eve Game Night With Andy Cohen,” which will feature Cummings and Riggle, as well as John Stamos, Bob Saget and JB Smoove.

“New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly” airs on NBC Tonight Thursday, Dec. 31, at 11:30 p.m. EST.

Fire engulfs One of Dubai’s Greatest Luxury Hotels!

Firefighters battled a blaze that engulfed a luxury hotel in Dubai Thursday night while a spectacular New Year's fireworks display lit up the night sky nearby.

Orange tentacles of flames engulfed a large section of the high-rise Address Downtown Dubai hotel soon after the fire started around 9:30 p.m. (12:30 p.m. ET). Witnesses said they heard explosions as the fire raged. Hours later, dark plumes of smoke billowed from the building as the fire still appeared to be searing several stories. The pics tell is all!

However, The highly anticipated New Year's Eve festivities in the United Arab Emirates' most populous city -- including what was billed as one of the world's largest fireworks displays -- went ahead as planned. Cheering crowds of onlookers watched as bursts of color filled the sky.

Just a few blocks away, the scene was dramatically different. At the Address hotel, which describes itself as "the premier five-star hotel" in Dubai, flames appeared to be devouring growing portions of the high-rise, even as government officials said the blaze was largely contained.

The government's media office said guests evacuated from the hotel would be provided with new accommodations.

George Lucas opens up about 'Star Wars' sale, Disney, and shares thoughts on 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' in a candid interview with Charlie Rose

Star Wars creator George Lucas doesn't seem too fond of the approach to the latest title in the film series, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In an interview with Charlie Rose, via IndieWire, he discussed the franchise's legacy and also shared his thoughts about the new film.

Lucas sold his franchise to The Walt Disney Company for $4 billion in 2012. In the interview, he discussed filmmaking and his career, his Star Wars films (referring to them as his "kids"), the Star Wars sale, the current box office blockbuster and his diverging vision from Disney for the franchise.

"They looked at the stories, and they said, 'We want to make something for the fans,'" Lucas said of Disney. "They decided they didn't want to use those stories, they decided they were going to do their own thing."

Lucas also said Disney wasn't interested in his ideas for sequels. "They weren't that keen to have me involved anyway, but if I get in there, I'm just going to cause trouble, because they're not going to do what I want them to do. And I don't have the control to do that anymore, and all I would do is muck everything up," he said. "And so I said, 'OK, I will go my way and let them go their way.'"

As for how Star Wars: The Force Awakens turned out, he would have approached it differently, as he contended he did when the franchise was in his hands. "They wanted to do a retro movie. I don't like that. Every movie, I worked very hard to make them different," Lucas said. "I made them completely different – different planets, different spaceships to make it new."

#TEAMCOOKIE Taraji P. Henson Tells Women "Keep Ya Pu**y!" over them claiming her NEW BOO!

Taraji P. Henson shocked us all when she popped up on Miami Beach with NFL Free Agent Kelvin Hayden.  They've been dating for at least a few weeks as we also found pics of Taraji and kelvin working out at Runyon Canyon together with friends a few weeks ago.

As soon as Kelvin's identity was revealed, the tea started to spill.  Dating a guy 13 years younger sometimes leads to drama, and here we are.

We were tipped off by a reader a few days ago that there's anther woman who goes by the Instagram name of @brittannetteh who has several pics with Kelvin on her page as well.  Pics that were taken within the last 5 weeks that show the two snuggling each other and attending NFL games and vacations together.  Commenters, seemingly friends, of the woman in the pic were commenting how cute of a couple the two are. 

Mmmhmmm.

Immeditely following that discovery, we were tipped off about a second woman, Lina Figueroaa, who seemed to be in some type of relationship with Kelvin. Currently.  And for the last year.  She posted pics of them on vacay together, out on dates, and more as well.

Both women made their accounts private as soon as the news hit.

Hmph….Is it possible he just didn't get around to breaking up with the other women?  Possibly.....

Taraji has remained mum about it all...until last night.

Jacob Latimore gets an early start on 2016 by releasing his brand new single “Climb“.

The 19-year-old singer/actor has formed his own independent company after parting ways with RCA Records, and is currently putting the finishing touches on a brand new EP, which is due out in early 2016.

Looking to shed his young image, Latimore sings out to his girl about reaching new heights with their love and the pleasure he receives from being intimate.

“Ohh it’s just us, ain’t in no rush / Wrap your legs around my waist under the covers / Let’s make love, til’ sun comes up,” he sings.

CONGRATS! Cam Newton Announces He Is A Father, Welcomes Son With Longtime Girlfriend Kia Proctor

Cam Newton is the proud father of a baby boy. The Carolina Panthers quarterback took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce that he and his longtime girlfriend, Kia Proctor, welcomed a baby boy.

“My longtime girlfriend and I were extremely blessed to have a son last week,” he wrote. “Our family is excited and thank you all for the well wishes!”

According to the Charlotte Observer, Cam left practice early on Christmas Eve to rush to Atlanta with his girlfriend for the birth.

“I’ve been quiet about this because I didn’t want to create a distraction for my team and appreciate the privacy in this joyous time,” Cam added on Twitter.

Benedict Cumberbatch Covers Entertainment Weekly’s “Doctor Strange” First Look Issue

It seems he can do no wrong these days, and Benedict Cumberbatch is smoldering on the First Look cover of Entertainment Weekly.

The “Sherlock” stud looks convincing in his “Doctor Strange” getup ahead of the much-anticipated Marvel film’s November 4th, 2016 theatrical release date.

Benedict explains, “I’m still in the infancy of learning all that… It was like, okay, I’ve got to keep throwing these poses, these spells, these rune-casting things, everything he does physically. I’m thinking, there’s going to be a huge amount of speculation and intrigue over the positioning of that finger as opposed to it being there, or there. And I’m still working on that. We haven’t played any of those scenes yet. I felt really self-conscious. But, then, by the end, it was great. It’s like anything, you just have to experiment.”

#RHOA Cynthia Bailey Insists Peter Thomas Is Very Romantic; Weighs In On Demetria And Kandi’s Music Video

Cynthia Bailey shared her thoughts on this week’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta with Bravo, and when she did, she went on and on about how romantic Peter Thomas is. Yeah, OK. Cynthia‘s body language in the photo above just screams, I love my super romantic husband, doesn’t it?

“Peter is very romantic and always goes out of his way to make our special moments together memorable,” gushed Cynthia. “I especially loved our “lunch in the park” date because although it was well thought out, it was really sweet and simple. As a matter of fact (after being married for five years), this was one of my favorite dates. Spending quality time together does not always require all the bells and whistles. Sometimes less is so much more.”

When asked if she was hesitant to bring Peter to Kandi Burruss and Demetria McKinney‘s video release party, Cynthia said, “I am never nervous to bring Peter around the ladies, and I was excited to support Kandi and Demetria’s event with my husband on my arm. Peter and I had a great time with everyone. It was a fun date night.”

Huh. If Peter were my husband (not that I’d ever put up with his nonsense), I’d be nervous to bring him around the ladies… All. The. Ladies.

Cynthia said she loved the video and the “catchy” song. “Both of the ladies did an awesome job,” added Cynthia. “Demetria is a smart, beautiful, and talented

Aretha Franklin performed at the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors during the ceremony's tribute to Carole King, who co-wrote one of Franklin's signature songs, "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman." Franklin performed that 1967 single at the Kennedy Center Honors, which aired Tuesday night following its December 6th ceremony in Washington D.C., making a rare appearance at the piano to deliver a rendition that moved many – including President Barack Obama – to tears.

Bill Cosby Arraigned For Alleged Aggravated Indecent Assault! Released on $1 Million Bond!

Bill Cosby arrived in court Wednesday after he was charged with alleged aggravated indecent assault earlier this morning by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office in Pennsylvania.

After court, Cosby headed to the Cheltenham Police Department, where his mugshot was taken and he was processed.

The comedian, 78, entered the courtroom in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, around 2:30 p.m., walking arm-in-arm with his legal team. He will next appear in court on Jan. 14 and his bail was set at $1 million.

Cosby's passport was also turned over to the court and he did not enter a plea.

Attorneys for Cosby said in a statement that the charge by the DA's office "came as no surprise."

The charge "filed 12 years after the alleged incident and coming on the heels of a hotly contested election for this county's DA during which this case was made the focal point," the statement said. "Make no mistake, we intend to mount a vigorous defense against this unjustified charge and we expect that Mr. Cosby will be exonerated by a court of law."

The famed comedian has always maintained his innocence since being accused more than 10 years ago by former Temple University employee Andrea Constand of sexual assault. With that case about to reach the statute of limitations next month, First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele said his office had decided to proceed with the second-degree felony charge.

"We examined all the evidence and we made this determination because it was the right thing to do," he said during a press conference this morning.

In 2005, Constand claimed that after she and Cosby became friends, he invited her to his home in Pennsylvania, where he made multiple sexual advances over time. She claimed that on one occasion in early 2004 he gave her pills and wine, which made her unresponsive and unable to move. At that point, Cosby allegedly sexually assaulted Constand.

Constand and Cosby eventually settled out of court for an undisclosed amount, but the district attorney in Montgomery County at the time decided not to press criminal charges.

Steele said earlier today that authorities decided to pursue charges after new information came to light this July. U.S. District Judge Eduardo Robreno unsealed Cosby's deposition regarding the decade-old case this summer, in which he admitted to giving Quaaludes to a woman with whom he wanted to have sex, according to the deposition.

Cosby has been accused by dozens of women of sexual misconduct, with many of them coming forward in the past year. The former TV star fired back last month against seven of his accusers, filing a defamation counter-suit in U.S. District Court.

If convicted, Cosby faces up to ten years in jail and a $25,000 fine.

NY Knicks player shot and robbed of jewelry and gold teeth

New York Knicks player Cleanthony Early was robbed at gunpoint after a visit to popular Queens, NY strip club Cityscapes. According to police, Early was leaving the club with a female friend when the Uber car he was riding in was surrounded by at least three cars. At least 4-6 individuals then assaulted Early and stole his jewelry, cash and gold caps from his teeth. After robbing the NBA star, the assailants then shot Early in his knee.

Early was rushed to a hospital for surgery and is in stable condition. The New York Knicks organization has not released a statement yet on the incident or whether the injury to his knee will end his career as a basketball player. This is the second time in a week a Knicks player has been the target of a robbery. Last week, his teammate Derrick Williams was robbed of $750K in jewelry at his apartment by two unidentified men. Early was drafted by the Knicks in 2014 and has played 10 games this season. His most recent game resulted in a 108-96 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden. The Uber driver and Early’s female companion were not hurt during the robbery. Police are stating at this time it does not appear that Early was targeted for the attack.

Erykah Badu Donates Shelter To Dallas-Area Families Displaced Due To Tornadoes

Tornadoes ripped through the Dallas, TX area this past weekend; claiming the lives of 11 people, and causing substantial structural damage. There were also dozens of people injured in the storms as well.

Dallas native and Grammy Award-winning singer, Erykah Badu, is offering a hand to some of the families who have been displaced in wake of the destruction. She took to Twitter to inform that she will be donating shelter.

“Found reasonable hotel rooms in Garland , Texas area,” she wrote. “If you know of victims who need temp shelter please hit us here. Donating shelter.”

“And this is why we love you,” tweeted one of her followers, is response to  her announcement.

Saturday night’s tornado outbreak was the second deadliest in DFW history according to the National Weather Service.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those impacted.

Freddie Gibbs Addresses Black Lives Matter, Gun Violence

Freddie Gibbs offers his thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement and gun violence.

Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs was questioned about the Black Lives Matter movement and the recent acts of police brutality and gun violence.

In regards to police brutality, Gibbs shared his belief that the interaction between police officers and the people, needs to be worked on. He also revealed that he’s pro-guns, but feels that the screening process to buy a gun needs improvements.

“It’s so many separate incidents with black people and minorities getting killed by police and hate crimes and things of that nature,” Freddie Gibbs said. “It’s kinda hard to put your finger on it, man. I’m a believer in I think you gotta have a gun. I own guns, legally. So, it’s just like I feel like I gotta protect my household. I think that was something that was instilled in me from my granddaddy. Now do I believe there’s people out there that shouldn’t have guns? Of course. I think that it should be more of a screening process maybe to obtain a weapon…I think that we gotta learn how to interact with these people and these people gotta learn how to interact with us better. That’s the main thing…I think the police gotta learn how to better interact with the community and vice versa.”

Gibbs revealed why he believes it’s better to be an underdog with a cult following than an artist who may be hot for the moment.

“I’m all about doing things to make myself the underdog,” he said. “The cult following type of artist. Cause I feel like a lot of those artists they become legendary in your eyes. They last a little bit longer than just some guy that got a single on the radio or some guy that doesn’t know how to make his career stretch. I remember back in the day when I would hear a Rap-A-Lot tape or something like that. It wasn’t something that I could—what was readily available to me via TV screens or BET screens. Sometimes, not in the record stores I couldn’t find it. But the rarity of it is what made me—what attached me to it. And I kinda just want to keep giving my fans that kind of feel. I don’t got to be the top guy in rap to survive in the rap game.

WELL DAMN! PHILADELPHIA -- The Chip Kelly revolution ended before it ever really began.

The Philadelphia Eagles abruptly fired Kelly on Tuesday night, five days before the final game of the 2015 regular season. Kelly's Eagles were eliminated from playoff contention when they lost to the Washington Redskins on Saturday night. That loss dropped the Eagles to 6-9. They were 2-5 over their past seven games, including losses in which they surrendered 45 points twice and 40 points once. Overall, Kelly's record in nearly three seasons as Eagles head coach was 26-21.

Kelly told Fox Sports on Tuesday night that he didn't fight owner Jeffrey Lurie's decision to fire him. He also told Fox Sports that he wants to stay in the NFL, as opposed to returning to college coaching. "We appreciate all the contributions that Chip Kelly made and wish him every success going forward," Lurie said in a statement released by the team. Sources told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio that Lurie had been thinking for weeks about making changes in the team's structure, including stripping Kelly of personnel control.

A news conference is scheduled for noon ET Wednesday. Pat Shurmur, the Eagles' offensive coordinator and the former head coach of the Cleveland Browns, will serve as interim head coach for Sunday's game against the New York Giants. Last season, the Eagles again went 10-6. But they lost three of their last four games and missed the playoffs. Immediately after the season, Lurie decided to move Roseman, then the general manager, aside and give Kelly full control over personnel decisions.

Kelly wielded that new power, trading away quarterback Nick Foles and running back LeSean McCoy. He acquired Sam Bradford in the Foles deal, and running back DeMarco Murray and cornerback Byron Maxwell in free agency. He also released veteran guards Evan Mathis and Todd Herremans, and didn't re-sign wideout Jeremy Maclin. Lurie described the roster makeover as an attempt to "go from good to great." He also pointed out the inherent risk of going from good to mediocre, or worse.

That's what happened this season. The Eagles got off to a 1-3 start. Bradford, who looked stellar in the preseason, was uneven behind a patchwork offensive line. Murray never seemed comfortable in Kelly's offense. There was little sign of the team that had debuted so memorably in Washington two years earlier. After getting to 4-4 at the midway point, the Eagles took a severe downturn in recent weeks. They upset the New England Patriots on the road and defeated the Buffalo Bills to get to 6-7 but lost 40-17 to Arizona and then 38-24 to Washington to fall out of playoff contention.

"It's 100 percent on my shoulders. It's unacceptable," Kelly said after Saturday's loss. He also addressed whether he was on the hot seat, saying, "Anybody in my situation, if they're worried about getting fired, they probably already should have been fired. It's not good enough,

but I'm going to continue to work."

Kelly became the first Eagles head coach since Buddy Ryan in the 1980s to go through three seasons without a single playoff victory.
