Prince is looking like rock-n-roll royalty on V magazine cover. When working with eccentric musical mastermind Prince and his team, there’s a method to the madness. “This organization is different than most, in the sense that we don’t take directions from the outside world,” Prince says in the August issue of V Magazine. “It’s like a galaxy. The sun is in the center giving off energy, and everything revolves around it … Nobody really talks to me.”
Pointing to his manager Julia Ramadan, Prince says, “I talk to her. She talks to you. … And so on and so forth. If I trust her, then you can trust her.”
Getting on the phone with the artist formerly known as The Artist Formerly Known as Prince isn’t any easier. His Purple Highness tells the magazine he doesn’t have an iPhone.
“Are you serious?” he asks. “Hell, no.” Mimicking a woman’s voice, Prince says, “Where is my phone? Can you call my phone? Oh, I can’t find it.”

Angela Simmons COVERS "ROLLING OUT", Confirmed As Co-Host For "106 & Park" THROUGHOUT Summer 2013....
You might have noticed that Angela Simmons has raised her public profile with a string of co-hosting gigs on BET's "106 & Park", and there's a very good explanation. Outside of her obvious chemistry with her ex-boyfriend Bow Wow, the network released a statement revealing that they've booked Angela to co-host the program for the remainder of the summer. Remember when we said we believe BET is pushing out the other co-hosts? BET confirmed:
"106 & PARK" is undergoing exciting changes. Angela Simmons will continue to guest host until the end of the summer. Bow Wow aka "Mr. 106 & Park" will continue as the lead host; Miss. Mykie, Paigion and Shorty Da Prince will no longer remain on the show. BET Networks is happy to have worked with these bright, young stars and will continue to support them and their upcoming endeavors."
And while confirming the departure of Miss Mykie, Paigion and Shorty Da Prince, it remains to be seen if Angela will book the gig on a permanent basis. But for now, the fans are truly connecting to her.
And in the latest issue of RO, Angela continues that connection where she dished in an interview about her new clothing line, website and why she's not afraid to be vulnerable with her fans.
She also comments on some of the criticism she faces as the daughter of a minister and what impact it has on her lifestyle choices (and what she wears). And we're sure Meagan Good will co-sign. Here are the highlights:
We checked out your website, AngelaIam.com and you seem to be really passionate about it. Tell us about it.
It’s basically a place for my fans and anyone that wants to keep up with me. It’s also a place that’s really about inspiring and helping young females. I have a beauty section, a fitness section, and an “Ask Angela” section; it goes on and on. It’s pretty much everything in my life all in one place. I’m really excited about it. When I launched it, it crashed [laughs] … which is a good thing, because everyone ran there at the same time. I’m excited, because it’s my baby, and I’m really owning it.
You also launched a fashion line. Can you give us some details on that?
It’s really feminine, but still dressed down, because that’s how I am. I think that an outfit should be able to carry you from day to night. It should be something that you can wear with sneakers, or something that you can wear with heels. That’s the kind of girl that I am. I’m a New York City edgy girl on the go, so the clothing line is fun and young … it’s also something that you can keep forever. I try to make pieces that people will be able to carry on for a long time. I want my pieces to be affordable, so it’s a very moderate-end line that you can actually buy and be fashionable for the price.
You’ve stepped out a bit more as an individual, and not just as a member of this powerful family. Was that a conscious decision?
There comes a point in your life where you just evolve, and that’s where I’m at right now. This is me. I’ve just grown into this person. I always get people asking me if it’s a lot of pressure being a role model, or is there a lot of pressure because I come from this family, or that my dad is a reverend … and you know what, it is, but at the same time, I am who I am. I’m not faking it.
Do some people judge you through a small prism because of your dad.
Well I think with religion, people are just judgmental off the bat. They feel like if you have a relationship with God and Jesus Christ, then you’re not allowed to have any fun. I think that’s just wrong when people judge others … especially when you’re not supposed to judge anyway. But I deal with it all the time. People will come up to me and say ”Oh you shouldn’t be wearing that skirt,” and I just say ”why not?” I’m not doing it distastefully, and I’m not being disrespectful. I have my relationship with God, so therefore I don’t feel like anyone should judge me. But it’s life, and people are going to judge. And there’s so much controversy surrounding religion, so I just eat it. At this point, it is what it is, but I know who I am … and God knows my heart, so I don’t take it any further.

Shaq Disses Dwight Howard for Going to the Houston
Former NBA center Shaquille O’Neal took his opportunity before the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International to diss Dwight Howard.
When asked about Dwight Howard’s move to Houston, he responded: “It was expected. Not everyone can handle being under the bright lights.”
“It was a safe move to go to a little town like Houston.”
Shaq’s views here are not surprising at all. He has been ripping Howard for years, going back to his playing days when Howard was a member of the Orlando Magic. A large part of his distaste for Howard stemmed from Howard’s co-opting of the “Superman” nickname that Shaq used earlier in his career.
Miley Cyrus Response to the Jay-Z Twerking Shout Out
Jay-Z gives Miley Cyrus a major shout out on is new new album Magna Carta Holy Grail, on the track “SomeWhereInAmerica” he starts off by saying:

New Video: Willow Smith – ‘Summer Fling’
It’s not too often that you come across 12-year-olds singing about a love affair that only lasts a few months, but love is definitely in the air for Will Smith’s mini me. Last night, Willow Smith premiered the new video for her newest single, “Summer Fling,” a breezy, summertime jam about a fling that lasts until school is back in session. “It’s just a couple months but we do it anyway, it’s only for the summer but we do it anyway…”
The lyrics are kind of mature but it’s definitely a smooth track. On the record, Willow sings:

Dame Dash Hit With $2.8M Tax Lien
Damon "Dame" Dash's financial troubles are officially out of control. The Roc-a-Fella Records co-founder has been hit was $2.8 million dollar tax bill courtesy of the IRS.
TMZ reports:
Dash -- who co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records and Rocawear with Jay -- has been open about the fact that he's drowning in debt ... despite the fact that at one time he was half-king of a multi-million-dollar business.
Now, his financial problems have worsened. Uncle Sam filed a federal tax lien against Dash, claiming he needs to cough up some un-paid tax cash for the years 2005 and 2011.
The breakdown:
2005: $2,614,918.10
2011: $187,544.20
Grand total: $2,802,262.30 ... i.e. a whole lotta cheddar.
The 2005 bill is clearly larger ... which makes sense considering Hov and Dash parted ways back in 2004 -- meaning in 2005, he was probably still raking in some major-taxable bucks. 2011 ... not so much.
FYI -- Dash has said he owes millions in back taxes to the State of NY and NJ and claims he's lost multiple properties to foreclosure.
Meanwhile, Jay ... is still super rich.
On a recent stop though The Combat Jack Show, Dash admitted to be having some financial issues but assured listeners they were manageable. Considering heads like Ja Rule have done prison time, and Fat Joe and Lauryn Hill are about to do prison time, for failing to meet their tax obligations, we sincerely hope Dame Dash figures a way of this mess, and stat.
Recently, the Harlem native hit up Instagram to say he liked his former partner's new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. It has also been rumored that years ago, Hova bailed Dash out of some debt even despite their infamous fall out.

Referee Kills Soccer Player In Brazil, Gets BEHEADED!
Imagine if a soccer match had Game Of Thrones type consequences. A referee stabbed a player to death in Brazil. The dead player's friends, family and we guess some fans responded in kind by beheading the murderous ref.
Reports Deadspin:
Last Sunday, an amateur soccer match in Brazil came to an unbelievably gruesome end when a referee was murdered by outraged fans. His head was then cut off and placed on a spike. The beheading was retaliation; the ref initially stabbed a player to death.
I found a pic of the referee after they were done with him It is NOT for the faint of heart. You have been warned.
It happened in the Maranhão region of northeastern Brazil. Thirty-year-old Josenir dos Santos Abreu approached the referee, 20-year-old Otávio Jordão da Silva (pictured above) during a match to argue a call. Abreu reportedly threw a punch at da Silva, who then took out a knife he was carrying with him during the match, and stabbed the player. Abreu died of his wounds en route to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the player's friends and family invaded the pitch and attacked da Silva. They reportedly tied up the referee, beat him, stoned him, lynched him, and then quartered him. When they finished, they cut off his head and placed it on a stake in the center of the field.

Beyoncé Dad Gets Married Again
Matthew Knowles gets married for second time, Beyoncé now has a stepmother. According to Associated Press Mathew Knowles, married last Sunday to girlfriend former model Gena Charmaine Avery.
His representative told The Associated Press on Friday that he has wed former model Gena Charmaine Avery in Houston, Texas. The pair had been engaged for a year and a half.
The 48-year-old Avery is a realtor. Matthew Knowles 61, was fired as her manager in 2011 after Knowles was accused of stealing money from Beyonce and after he fathered a child outside of his marriage to and Tina Knowles, who divorced in 2011 after 31 years of marriage.
