Christian Conservative Group Boycotting TV Land’s ‘The Soul Man’

Wow, I didn’t see this one coming. According to an online report, an organization known as OMM (One Million Moms) is boycotting the new TV Land sitcom, ‘The Soul Man’ which stars Cedric The Entertainer and Niecy Nash. Apparently they think the show is blasphemous and mocks pastors.
Take a look at the show:
The OMM is known as a Christian conservative watchdog organization. Some of the things they find offensive about the show are:
1. Pastor’s brother and father use foul language and the father is a retired preacher whose uses the excuse he isn’t a minster anymore.
2. Pastor’s brother says, “Wow! People still come to church? Well, old people. Oh! Hot chicks in Jesus name!”
3. Lolli (the wife played by Niecy Nash) tells Boyce, “Lack of booty makes you moody!” and “Women’s parts start percolating when husband does chores.”
4. Boyce and Lolli sing “I want to have Sex with You” together at home and also played when they role the credits. A piece of the lyrics “I want to have sex with you,… in the kitchen, in the bathroom,… sitting down, standing up.”

‘The Soul Man’ revolves around Cedric’s character, Reverend Boyce “The Voice” Ballentine, an R&B superstar-turned-minister who takes over as preacher of his father’s church. Niecy Nash stars as the reverend’s wife, Lolli. The show also features John Beasley as his father, Wesley Jonathan as his younger brother, and Jazz Raycole as his daughter.

Do you think the show is blasphemous or not?
